Just gonna leave these here,....
>>183194(Reds are for me specifically, not the game as a whole)
Oh hey, I remember that meme
>>183193Then you might want to go for a regular grappler build.
Or a high-Str archery build, with grappler racial abilities.
We're doing this? We're doing this.
It's odd that pregnancy, abortion and miscarriage are lumped together. I'm fine with pregnancy but not with abortion or miscarriage being shown "on screen."
>>183197High strength archer was kinda what I was going for, with grappling as a support option for melee range.
>>183199If DnD was realistic then bows would be a strength-dependent weapon, since historically the power of a bow was limited by the user's draw strength. Most swords would switch to dexterity since technique is more important than raw power, but I digress.
That checklist has "explicit" romance separate from sex and I don't know what it means, maybe kissing? It's concerning to think that some tabletop player out there is fine with full penetration but not with romance.
>>183201>If DnD was realistic then bows would be a strength-dependent weaponIn 3.5e, you add your Str to damage with bows.
>>183202In A2E, you had to.pay extra for a bow that gave better than +2 strength bonus
>>183207D20 modern removes that cost for Compound Bows
Good riddance, imo. I always hated how composite bows requires you to buy a whole new bow if your Str score changed.
>>183208(I kinda liked it, it gave me so.ething to geek over in character)
>>183211The way I give archers something to geek over is to put several different kinds of rare magic arrows in the encounter loot, so they can meticulously track when and where they use their unique special ammo. In my experience archer players just love that stuff.
Sometimes I'll give them a single incredibly rare, epic-level arrows, but only one of them so they get to choose when to make a legendary shot.
>>183215I prefer bowstrings to arrows, even if the effect is limited per day; not a big fan of consumables
>>183217>not a big fan of consumablesYou've clearly never used a Splitting Alchemical Razorfeather Arrow on a Splitting Bow and cast Maximized Arrowsplit from a Wand, and cast Firetrap on the arrow from a scroll, and consumed a +1 Bow as a Metamagic component for True Strike on a Manyshot Build.
Consumables are fun
>>183220Tho it may be to my detriment, Ill take a rechargeable over a single use any day
>>183203Someone watched
Alien and thought, "You know, I want to be a xenomorph."
By not posting your version of the chart are you saying you're fine with everything on it?
I wonder if enchanted bullets work like enchanted arrows.
Also,as a DM, I love consumables because it lets me give players cool stuff without accidentally breaking my game with overpowered loot.
>>183223>I wonder if enchanted bullets work like enchanted arrows. They work the same, iirc.
>not posting your version of the chart are you saying you're fine with everything on it?I just don't want to edit an image rn.
I'm fine with whatever. It's fantasy.
GM Pone, would it be alright for you if I retcon Cavaliere's three ranger levels for levels in "Champion of the Wild"? The only difference it makes is that he loses all spellcasting but gains a bonus feat if/when he takes a fourth level in Champion of the Wild. I do not intend for him to be a spellcaster anyway and I would like the bonus feat.
As for when he levels up to level 6, I'm torn on taking monk, swordsage or something else. If it's anything other than monk then I would have to pick that feat which lets you keep monk abilities.
We were talking about buffing monk but have a look at Fighting Styles:
https://srd.dndtools.org/srd/classes/baseCore/monk.html#fighting-stylesIf you want to include this then I would give Cavaliere Wushu style.
>>183241I've posted it at least three times before
>>183232I don't know what that is.
>>183201>some tabletop player out there is fine with full penetration but not with romanceIt's made for people who find thirst and earthquakes to be triggering, so yes, that might be exactly what it means.
>>183245Monk has a lot of ACFs, because it technically has a lot of class features to swap out.
>>183232Forgot to mention if I do pick Wushu style I would be giving up stunning fist and combat reflexes for improved initiative and power attack, which I consider worth it. I'd also get +2 to tumble. To qualify I just need two more ranks in sense motive and one more in bluff, so that would have to wait until I level up.
>>183244>what is Champion of the Wildhttps://srd.dndtools.org/srd/classes/baseCore/ranger.html#champion-of-the-wildIt changes nothing other than get rid of magic and replace it with feats.
>>183248If you want feats, you could also do Ranger 2, Fighter 2
Or, Mystic Ranger 3, Fighter 2
Particularly Targeteer Fighter:
https://srd.dndtools.org/srd/classes/baseCore/fighter.html#targetteerTargeteer is your best bet for gunslinging specialization.
You can trade your heavy armor for Hit-And-Run
https://srd.dndtools.org/srd/classes/baseCore/fighter.html#drow-fighterBe sure to take the Dead Eye feat, for Dex to damage.
Otherwise, I would just say Ranger/Scout Multiclass, evenly split with the Swift Hunter feat.
Ranger/Scout Swift Hunter would give you good ranged damage if you picked up Fly-by-Attack
>>183251It's a lot easier to retcon a character to have a slight modification of his existing class than to try a total rebuild. Targeteer looks like a good choice but I won't re-spec that much. Thank you.
>>183260Scout is like a hybrid of Ranger and Rogue. Your character would be virtually unchanged if you went Ranger/Scout.
>>183269It's a solid choice, but I like the extra unarmed capabilities of monk, and the saves/attack bonus of ranger.
>>183330Im not seeing the conflict/point of interest/emphasis
Cavaliere doesn't meet the prerequisites for Power Attack. Wushu style gives it as a level 2 feat. The page isn't clear, but would selecting this fighting style bypass requirements and let him use Power Attack, or would he be without the feat until he gets 13 strength?
>>183392>would selecting this fighting style bypass requirements and let him use Power AttackYes. You ignore the prereq.
>>183392Pretty sure GM isnt gonna sweat you on this
Suggestion for the next thread's image
Well, that was much too easy, and the positioning was just... bad. But on the plus side, we moved through it quick-ishly. Some notes for next time
>>183456Something tells me there will be a
lot more aberrations when they get to the Kostroma...
>>183456>Well, that was much too easyIt might've been a bit more challenging it the ayys used some magical or psionic abilities.
>But on the plus side, we moved through it quick-ishlyIt was fun. I had fun. This encounter was much more along the lines of dark fantasy CoC-esque their that I fancy. Looking forward to the next encounter, solving the mystery, and sending The Traveller back where he came from.
>>183459Don't be such a worrywart.
>>183460Ikr.
It'll be great. Finally an army to fight.
>>183460>>183464The question I have is how many ponies we will have to kill before we can shut down the source of their mind control.
>>183464Oh yeah, I absolutely had a lot of fun, especially since this was the first time Kira's actually gotten to shoot her bow at something in the game and Silver got to flex his powerful muscles with some power attacks.
>>183465Kira really hopes the group can avoid that...
>>183464I would feel mpre comortable if I had pushed for Addy to give Brie the minigun, but assumed GM would not approve.
This is why shes a noncombatant
>>183506 →>>183480 →>>183474 →Rosey Ring has no ranks in dungeoneering, but she has rudimentary familiarity with aberrations because she's been to the edge of the far realm as part of the training that permanently scarred her mind and gave her Cerebrosis. She knows enough about aberrations to know that their minds are profoundly alien, and when they say things like "friendship" they're not actually being friendly, and instead want to distort, dominate, assimilate, mutate or consume you. Part of their perverse ideals of "friendship" may or may not have rubbed off on her... but she still doesn't consider uncontrolled beachgoers to be welcome in her realm.
