Some weird tentacular thing came out of herdon't even look at me, this was pure player RP, but it was exquisite, so who am I to argue? and is dissolving into the turf, while Trump and Fae and several of the Generals eagerly anticipate the result of their careful and brilliant maneuver.

Yeah, I agree on that. It can reduce mobility and access to smaller areas. Since Fae is outclassed in a large number of ways by Trachemar, I want to keep her at least as essentially a companion animal, and to do that well she needs to be small enough to take into a dungeon.

For instance, Trachemar is a whole size category larger than a normal nightmare (which is already kind of OP for a mount) and that gives her 31 strength instead of 18, more constitution, better damage die, and so forth. But a lot of mount benefits were waved, like the +10 natural armor bonus which for some reason you didn't want very badly.
In pony form, Tracy keeps the Command ability and the empathic link, but I think that's all

I was under the impression that she got everything from the class in both forms, and being ridden just gave her the Str and Con that her incomplete transformation lacks.

I was almost sure she got everything but the Str boost (fine without it anyway; it's just muscle juice). I've been running her under the assumption that she had the evasion and the natural armor (grateful for that, fug dex penalties).

Fae gets the armor bonus, and she even has PC class levels in Cleric now.
I would've had her using a shield and wearing armor if not for that.
Tracy Cage is a Mount too, after all: she's supposed to be of equal cohort status (except that she's ridden moar often).

Tbh, now that I think of it, I guess have been bullshitting Tracy's incomplete monstrous shape quite a bit. When she got it, it was said that she was only supposed to be able to use it by herself for a limited time and duration each day, and that it was supposed to come with an exhaustion recoil like a Barbarian's Rage; I've been having her use it whenever without consequences though. She was only supposed to be able to transform when angry or otherwise riled-up, but I've been having her transform whenever because I could get away with it. That time when I had her walking up the mountain to get to to the Roc nest instead of flying was really the last time I ever thought of her ability to be limited.
For the sake of rules 'n shit, it probably should come at the same usage/duration limitations as Rage. Just set the Barbarian level equal to her Blackguard level for how often it can be used (1/day atm).
Besides, i think anger-activation and exhaustion are better for roleplaying purposes. I'll RP be sure to RP her getting pissed-off to power-up from now on.
I still want those Paladin's Mount Buffs though, or at least just the Natural Armor.
