Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where the Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures because of their encounters with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
The long train ride from Baltimare to Bales has been interrupted by a group of partisan fighters, claiming to be looking for none other than Pinkie Pie, who has been kept prisoner since the end of the war. They don't seem to have found their prize, but they do seem to have found a very pissed off Brie, Onyx, and Spark, as well as another Bat Pony, and both groups have been interrupted by a new set of intruders. In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, and Iron await a new and uncertain dawn.

>>100686Iron nods.
(Seems they tried to either pick the rocks away or an unfortunate cave-in happened.)
He turns to the pedestals, seeing how the vases fit so much better.
(I guess it is technically not stolen if they can still be in the building.)
Walking over to fetch the gold vase, he looks to Cauldron.
"I think the pedestals needs to be filled by the vases. Fetch the bronze one and place it in one of them."
>>100687There are no vases. Nothing sits on the pedestals
>>100688Not on the pedestals. The
stream. >>100689Cauldron picks up the bronze bowl, and places one on a pedestal
>>100690Iron, for his part, attempts to grab the gold vase inside the stream.
>>100693Iron is able to swim to the bottom and retrieve the chalice
>>100694After taking the quite delectable chalice that could sell for a lot and makes Iron fidget slightly, he walks over to the other empty pedestal and places the golden chalice on it.
>>100695As he places it down, it makes a clinking sound that is rather high pitches, and reverberates for an extended period of time. Pear takes the bronze chalice after Cauldron sets it down, dips it in the water, and places it back
>>100696Iron, noticing how the clinking doesn't sound like a chalice being hit, looks around to see what just happened.
(What has changed?)
Seeing how Pear filled the bronze chalice with water, he thinks Pear knows what he intuitively thought.
(Chalice go in pedestal, but is the water needed?)
He peers inside the golden chalice to see if it has water in it.
>>100697There is no water in Iron’s chalice
>>100698Iron picks up the chalice, goes to the stream, fills it up with some tricky movements and goes back with the now filled chalice.
>>100699And thus, Iron has a chalice filled with water sitting on a pedestal
>>100700Iron is slightly confused.
(No noise now? Hm. Maybe the problem is that we need two golden chalices?)
He dumps the water into a corner then places the golden chalice back on.
>>100702Iron, knowing that the golden chalice alone makes the noise, walks over to the mares working on the bronze chalice to see how they're doing.
"Is it not doing the clanking noise for you two?"
>>100703Cauldron blinks
“That’s kinda what heavy metals like gold do when you knock them against stone. They ‘clink.’ And water muffles the clinking sound. Anyways, why are you decorating with these and not taking them.”
>>100704Iron feels dumb now that she's saying it.
"Oh."
He loods towards the ground, a bit embarrassed for overthinking the path forward.
"I was thinking to explore around first and then we take the treasure as we exit the temple or else we would risk being caught overburdened and slow."
I suppose I'll be ready to continue another two more posts in a bit. Got something I need to do, first.
>>100705“Well... we’re at a sort of dead end here.”
To the center, and a little to the left, are panels of the high and low relief paintings, showing multiple scenes. One panel is missing, and rocks in its place, as well as a hole near the top. A corpse sits next to these rocks
>>100707Iron shakes his head.
"This cannot be it. We have not found the leader yet, and the corpses seem recent enough to guess they are still here. There must be a way further."
He decides to check on the corpse next to the rocks to find a clue.
>>100708He is facing outwards, sitting up against the rocks, and look looks terrified. He is bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds and a smaller blow to the head
>>100709Iron is sensing that the bandits killed the ponies in frustration, which would explain how some died from falling after running away in fear.
"Is this really it?" he wonders aloud. "Why would they want the idols if that's the case?"
He takes out the dog idol in his possession.
(What if...)
He takes off the chalice from the pedestal, carefully setting it on the floor, then places the dog idol in its stead.
>>100710Oh it definitely fits on top of pedestal
Cauldron takes a piece of sugar cane out of her pack and starts chewing on it and looks at the frescos, while Pear sort of sulks off out of the line of the light
>>100711Iron huffs in slight frustration.
(No reaction, it seems.)
He decides that if brains is not going to help him, brawn should.
He stands inbetween the two pillars, making sure dog idol is off the pedestal before doing so, and lightly taps on the wall to see if it's hollow.
>>100712The wall on the left side, which is nearest the two pedestals, does not ring
>>100713Iron, to make sure he does not quit without exploring every option, taps on the right wall to make sure he didn't miss anything.
>>100714The right side is the side with the stream, which, at about a meter and a half in width, is wide enough to prevent bucking on that side
[1d20+5 = 23]>>100717Oh. I still have one more option tho.Iron, deciding to be a bit reckless, makes sure to be close to the wall, then enters the stream to look for any opening underwater to progress.
Rolling swim.
>>100718The Underwater stream does indeed extend further, in both directions
>>100719Iron swims to the direction the impassable wall and the taunting pillars would be in order to see if there's anything on the other side.
>>100720This side is indeed open, if very dark
>>100721Iron, finally seeing some hope to actually get somewhere, decides to risk it, following whatever ceiling he can bump with his head and swims along there until a new opening is reached.
>>100723Iron, in his somewhat blind state, decides to reach for any sort of shore to get out of the stream and into the supposed new room.
Magic light is still on his head, right? Well, that’s more than a little disappointingThis is the other reason why I don’t make narrative stories>>100724Indeed he does. The shore is less well defined that the artificially squared sides of the previous chanmber. This area is rocky
>>100725Well... you could say that the water makes it malfunction if you wanted to.Iron is not too thrilled over the lack of treasure behind the wall.
(I guess there is more to walk in here, at least.)
He looks for any other ways to advance, wondering if Cauldron and Pear would actually follow him into the river.
