Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where the Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures because of their encounters with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
The long train ride from Baltimare to Bales has been interrupted by a group of partisan fighters, claiming to be looking for none other than Pinkie Pie, who has been kept prisoner since the end of the war. They don't seem to have found their prize, but they do seem to have found a very pissed off Brie, Onyx, and Spark, as well as another Bat Pony, and both groups have been interrupted by a new set of intruders. In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, and Iron await a new and uncertain dawn.

>>100482>>100480I'm as scared as Silver tbh. Maybe buy loads of vodka then turn them into molotovs? That should work
>>100483Iron is a bit nervous.
(So it is my weight.)
He looks over to Cauldron
"Now you cross. I will go last, so we do not get separated by a flimsy bridge breaking for my heavy body."
>>100478So Lings is still sleeping?
[1d20 = 13]>>100485No. Kerr is the firs to wake up, straightening himself out, pushing his hind legs all the way back, and stretching out as he pushes himself up over the sheets, then pulling his hind legs up to stand. Both creatures seem to have lost their full disguises, appearing as black, swiss-cheese insects with big blue eyes, and a subtle green glow around them.
>>100484“It’s clearly decayed by bacteria and fungi that grow here with all of the moisture. But the steam looks clear enough to swim across anyways.”
Cauldron steps on it, and she is not as small as Pear
>>100488Don't worry about the SMG, as the ghasts have more than 20 AC anyways. You need thorwable items that can reliably do AoE damage like grenades or molotovs to ensure a hit. SMG doesn't do that well if you can't aim it.>>100487Do I consider this as a pass?Iron simply nods. That could be a viable option.
>>100487"Hast Du gut geschlafen?" Brie asks with only the slightest hint of cheek.
>>100490Kerr answers
“Besser als wenn der Zug angehalten wurde”
Wesley also starts to get up, stretching his forelegs forward in his own little stretch, then pushing himself up
>>100489Cauldron passes, the bridge creeking somewhat, but holding up
“Well, it worked for me”
[1d20 = 17]>>100491Iron exhales.
(I guess it is my turn. Hooves, do not fail me now.)
He attempts to cross the bridge as the other two did with the utmost care, tiptoeing as carefully as an oversized Earth Pony can.
>>100491"Ich wollte Sie fragen, wissen Sie, wie man mit einer Klinge umgeht?" Brie says, pulling out one of his daggers, identical to the ones he gave to the two of them.
>>100492>>100492Incredibly, he crosses, the bridge creaking but holding
>>100493“Nicht... wirklich”
“Natürlich tue ich das”
>>100495Iron exhales yet again.
"I cannot believe it did not break under my weight."
He shines the path forward to see his available options after crossing the bridge.
>>100495Smiling at Kerr's assertion (maybe he does, but not like Brie does), Brie takes a moment to show them a few stances, grips, and effective postures, as pertains to fighting offensively, defensively, and transitioning from either posture into a throw.
"Hier sind ein paar zusätzliche, falls Sie sie brauchen." He says, giving each an extra 2 daggers (so 3 to a Ling, with 4 daggers and a short sword in Brie's possession).
>>100496There’s a little more cavern, which narrows, but goes up in elevation
>>100496They look as Brie dies his moves, occasionally flinching when the daggers come closer. Wesley nods at Brie’s words, and both take the extra daggers.
From a speaker in the car,
“Arriving at Bales Union Station in 10 minutes.”
>>100498Iron starts his trek towards the slightly elevated section of the cave.
Without moving his head, he opens his mouth.
"I am quite surprised we have not found any other companions you left behind, either as corpses or prisoners. Did they also have the chance to run?"
>>100499“I... don’t know”
Iron runs into the answer to that question very quickly, possibly even stepping on it
>>100500Iron skids to a halt, seeing the corpses as he shines the light around him.
"Hm. So there is no prisoners for these ponies."
He cracks his neck.
"I can see why the Gods would aid me on this quest to beat down these ponies. The desecration of this temple and dishonor of killing helpless ponies without a fair fight is reproachable."
>>100501It’s only one thus far. A sea green colored Unicorn stallion is slouched along to the side of the path where the rock slopes downward. He lays inelegantly, with limbs contorted in odd ways and slouched about, as if his body has fallen down the slope slightly. Blood seeps from around his eyes, and small amounts surround him
“Maybe... maybe... maybe he fell?”
>>100502Iron is slightly unconvinced.
He kneels over to check the head more closely for any wound like the coat shredders left on him.
>>100503A little blood from out the mouth, but no entry or exit wounds on that side if the pony’s body. At least, no wounds that are obvious and visible
[1d20 = 7]>>100504Iron shrugs.
"It seems like he could have just fell. There does not seem to be any wounds on him. We should be careful going up."
He tries to spot anything that could be considered a trip hazard along the path to the top if possible.
>>100505The entire floor is uneven. It’s eroded rock, not paved roadway
>>100506Iron, knowing that there's the possibility of falling to the floor like him, looks back.
"Watch your step, everyone."
With that, he starts the uphill trek towards the top.
>>100507A few feet, a few feet more...
Then another body. This one is along the path, facing the direction opposite of Iron. He lies on his stomach, or nearly so, leaning a little to his right. A black earth pony with grey hair and a leather bag. Trickles of blood away from his eyes break up the perfect blackness of his coat.
>>100508Iron is a bit wary of the added pony to the corpse count.
"What is going on?"
He saunters over closer to get a better look on any clue as to how he died.
Are we in flat terrain or still in an upwards slope? >>100498You quoted the wrong post so I got confused. Also, fug; wasn't Bales their stop? I can't rememberBrie checks his ticket for their departure point.
>>100510Iron does not have such a good feeling about this.
He decides to open the leather bag to see if there is a clue of some kind about either his death or this place.
>>100511Huh. So I didBales, which, unless the train goes along to Neighagra, is the end of the line now that the Crystal City is hard to get to
>>100512A map. It’s not terribly detailed, but the temple site is circled with out the map itself detailing the existence of the temple. A notation is written on the map:
“Campamento de ponis de la ciudad. Tesoro escondido.“
>>100513Iron raises his eyebrows, passing the pony's map to Cauldron for 'safekeeping.'
He looks behind him, at the stream they left untouched, having a slight feeling as to how they might have died.
"Let us keep moving."
(I wonder if Cauldron knows my native language.)
>>100513"Oh, ich denke das ist unser Stopp" Brie says to the Lings, gathering up the shotgun and the carbine.
>>100514Pear
“Might be Protozoa in the water”
Caudron
“That or something they ate”
>>100515“Okay”
Wesley in particular starts to gather his items that were brought along for the trip, which presently are scattered about the floor
>>100516"Let us try to avoid contact with both food and water here. We should not risk it."
And so, the trek continues.
>>100516Oh yes, the toys, Brie Eeeees to himself, gathering the toys into the pillowcase which likewise is undoubtedly on the floor.
>>100518And thus he has it.
How shall he try to hide the guns and the short sword
>>100517And then, Iron comes upon a new item of interest
A little off to the side of the trail is an object, laying in its side
>>100519Iron's ears wiggles in curiousity, going near it.
>>100519The short sword he will attempt to conceal in his jacket.
The guns? Why would he hide them?
On his way out, leading the Lings, he stops by Onyx and Sparks' room. "This is our stop fellas. Here, hold onto these." he says handing over the guns before either can object.
Okay, that’s it for the night. At least I know where I am going narrative-wise so it should be easy for me to pick up tomorrow
>>100521Because gun control
>making it somepony else’s problemOh.. I guess that would work
>>100522If there's one thing Brie has done consistently throughout this campaign, its volunteer other ponies for things without a shred of remorse or reservation
How long do you think until we get halftrack-towed and tank-towed artillery, since we got truck-towed artillery in Ironclad?
>>100524I don’t know... I guess I am glad that the handbook designers acknowledge that not all artillery needs to be horse-drawn, but if you are going to specifically place fast-artillery in your divisions, get motorized rocket artillery
RNG works in mysterious ways. I had a game crash after having not saved for a couple months, so when I loaded back up the Northern War was still ongoing. This time, the Order lasted long enough for volunteers to arrive and turn the tide in their favor.
>>100528Maybe all they need are zombies?
Little bit of a meta question since I don't have anything else to really talk about right now: if Silver were to go with the explosives and firebombs plan, how many homemade explosives and firebombs could he make with 49 Bits-worth of materials?
>>100531He may need a bit of help...
>>100531>>100532That's a understatement.
Any sort of body odor nullifiers for Silver to take advantage of?
