Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where the Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures because of their encounters with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
The long train ride from Baltimare to Bales has been interrupted by a group of partisan fighters, claiming to be looking for none other than Pinkie Pie, who has been kept prisoner since the end of the war. They don't seem to have found their prize, but they do seem to have found a very pissed off Brie, Onyx, and Spark, as well as another Bat Pony, and both groups have been interrupted by a new set of intruders. In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, and Iron await a new and uncertain dawn.

>>100227Dude. Stop. You’ve made an ass of yourself enough already
So how is everyone on this Mother's Day?
>>100233The ultimate master mother.
>>100233She looks so over it.
>>100234That sucks to hear. I hope things get better for you.
>>100236With the exception of conquering new lands and watching her enemies flee before her, she pretty much always is.
>>100237Speaking of, it happened again: Equestria ran out of ponypower during the Great War. Now with proofs and ponypower counts of both Crystal Empire and Changeling Lands to compare.
>>100238Maybe Celestia is sending them elsewhere?
>>100238Okay. I will admit I did see that once since
Is that a Socialist Republic of Longsword flag I see? >>100241I wish EaW had more nations with opportunities to fight back against the Griffin aggressors
>>100242Like an expanded Communist and Fascist path for New Mareland that takes the fight to the Empire after dealing with their troublesome neighbors, or a potential pony uprising in Hellquill should they go down their own Fascist path. Right now, I'd settle for pony Ilgakardijan leader portraits, because it sucks that the only generals you get after the civil war are griffons.
>>100243It’s disheartening to see the Free Tribes of the north, which had been pony territory for a thousand years, including the entire history of the Griffonian Empire, lose a third of their territory to Communist Griffins, then lose a war and get puppeted by Communist Griffins, then get annexed outright by the Griffonian Republic
Our Lands must be preserved!
>>100244To use the language of the filthy Griffon invaders: Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein Pony.
Sorry for my absence, I've been working on something.
"EEEEEEEEEEEEE" (translated: "I want to play but I'm stuck watching this bullshit! Bat lives matter!")
>>100245Wait, that sounds germanic. I thought the buggos were the nazis.
>>100246Don't worry, there's nothing happening atm.
>>100247Both Changelings and Griffons use German. It's very interesting, that the two greatest threats to the sovereignty of ponykind speak the same language.
>>100247Changeling lands are Nazi Germany, the Griffonian Empire is The Holy Roman Empire/Hapsburg Austria, and Longsword and Hellquill are the Livonian Order of the Teutonic Knights
>>100246We can wait. Not much has been going on here
>>100249>>100250Strange. I thought they were supposed to be French-like for some reason.
Does that mean that changelings tolerate griffons more than lovable fuzzy horse people?
>>100248>>100250I've been role-playing of a more insidious type
^_~
I'll try and put time into this
>>100252I'm playing TF2 Deathrun to pass time.
Pretty fun to run through a death trap focused on an operative system.
>>100251Nah, the Aquilean Griffons are the French ones. Also, yes. The Griffonian Empire and the Changelings Lands have a military attache from the start of the game. Which you'll notice the Changelings in that screencap don't have because the Empire got demolished by the Entente.
>>100252-_-
I have faith in your insidiousness
>>100251The Changeling Lands have an attaché sent to the Griffonian Empire, and the Griffonian Empire gets several Changeling generals from this.
This doesn’t stop the Changeling Lands from having focused to puppet Nova Griffonia, Aquelia, Wingbardy, and the Griffonian Empire though
>>100255>>100254I guess they don't have a navy to demolish the griffins before the ponies as well as the confidence they won't attack first if they can.
>>100255Okay, I'm done for the night. If stuff is happening on the train, I have a few hours to respond
>>100257Brie’s first experiences going forward would be essentially what is described in
>>100106 >>100258Perfect, getting them to shine a light in his eyes would have been his agenda. He'd be happy to show them that he has a funky cloak, and would have explained that they threatened him in his own cabin and so he resorted to self defense. Afterward, he felt that the rebels (or whoever they were) needed to be stomped on, so he offered his services. He would assume that the police would talk to Oxygen (yes, I'm gonna keep mistaking his name) and that his comments about being sorry for stabbing him would pan out, both in word and in behavior after the fact. Hard to know who is the good guys when you're not affiliated.
>>100259Further questions include:
Why did you stab him?
What happened in the RPO?
Why did you visit the locomotive?
Why were you on the train to begin with?
Are you a Celestia lover?
>>100260I thought he was a threat
(I gotta admit, I'm still a little sketch on what RPO means)
I thought I could help get rid of the intruders
I'm taking a trip with my son and his friend to visit family
I am ambivalent about Celestia
I'm gonna get arrested aren't I? >>100261Setting note: batponies are generally seen perceived as not being too fond of Celestia after that whole Nightmare Moon Equestrian Civil War thing/often perceived as criminals who hide in the night. New Mareland, being relatively more egalitarian and tolerant of ponies, is thought of as less repulsive to Equestrian bat ponies than to most other poniesRPO is railway post office. It means the car with the hole in the side. Brie is in Canterlot station or outside if it.
The pony questioning is an eggshell white Pegasus pony who speaks with a fairly plain central Equestrian accent, the absence of any posh details implying he is from Cloudsdale or Ponyville, now across the Changeling border, or perhaps from the working class of Canterlot, but decidedly not of the elite. He wears a black suit with yellow trimming, and a big black hat with yellow trimming that his smoke grey mane falls out from under. A small flag or symbol of black and gold is wrapped around his upper right foreleg. He must be from Internal Security. Behind him stands a vanilla white (light yellow) Unicorn wearing the same black uniform. He is very young looking, stands straight, but leans forward, occasionally moving forward like he is anxious to do something. He dies not speak, but there is something about his posture that implies he
is Canterlot Borguoise. He takes part in the eye test. Two more ponies, who wear blue uniforms that imply they are from local law enforcement, stand outside, and seem to have no part in the questioning except to provide force if something goes wrong
The Pegasus centers in on the issue of the mail car
“Who attacked the mail car?”
“How did they attack it?”
“What happened before and after the explosion?”
And
“How did you not recognize him as a captain of the IS?”(Internal Security)
“When did you realize he was a captain?”
>>100263How Egalitarian are the Black Hooves?
>>100264Batponies are allowed to be 4 star generals, among other things. But they have essentially no discrimination between pony races.
As for class... well, that’s hard to determine, but at least in the scene before Brie right now it can be seen that a working or middle class pony is senior in their Internal Security organization to the offspring of a bourgeoise or noble family, and both ponies seem to have found the organization worthwhile to volunteer
Of course if you’re not a pony, that’s another matter entirely
>Of course if you’re not a pony, that’s another matter entirely
Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Also, Dark Star should be seeing Sea Breeze soon enough
>>100263How should I know?
They had guns, and apparently used an explosive.
Oh, so you know about the explosion. I helped Ozren retake the engine to get the train going again.
I've never dealt with internal security.
We spoke for a bit.
Are we done here? Are you going to charge me with something?
>>100268He looks around the room a bit, then comes in closer to Brie. For a second time, he shines an obnoxious light in Brie’s eyes.
“Keep them open.”
He pulls the light away, and looks at Brie with a wince
“That will be all. Thank you for your work in fighting off the rebels.”
He turns his light off, then pats Brie’s “son” on the head, which startled him and makes him pull away. He does the same to Brie’s “friend’s son,” but he is more receptive.
The Pegasus starts to move out, while the unicorn looks back with uncertainty at Brie, then to the off-white Pegasus. They start to talk quietly to each other before they even fully leave the room, but leave regardless, with the two local officers following
>>100269I can't believe that worked. Brie smiles at the Lings and winks.
>>100270Bah, bats are blind anyway
Have the police/guards left? Brie wants to talk to the Lings but doesn't want to ruin their cover
>>100272Yes, they leave from outside the room. Judging from the view outside it looks like the train is still stopped in Canterlot station, but the door may be closed
>>100272I'd say they are out of earshot enough for at least whispers
>>100273So where are they now exactly? Still in the cabin room, or somewhere else on the train?
>>100275The reasonable assumption based upon the situation outside is that at least some police and IS are still on the train. Outside the train, a few police are lined up, a pony is being carried out on a stretcher, and IS are talking to ponies
>>100276I mean Brie and the Lings
>>100277They are in their cabin still
