Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where the Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures because of their encounters with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
The long train ride from Baltimare to Bales has been interrupted by a group of partisan fighters, claiming to be looking for none other than Pinkie Pie, who has been kept prisoner since the end of the war. They don't seem to have found their prize, but they do seem to have found a very pissed off Brie, Onyx, and Spark, as well as another Bat Pony, and both groups have been interrupted by a new set of intruders. In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, and Iron await a new and uncertain dawn.

>>100126Ah ha! The coup de grace hath been striken! Surrender your mares and you shall live without more pokes!
[1d20 = 12]>>100127Never give in! Never surrender!
[1d20 = 7]>>100128GAH! You cunning pony! Thou hast spirit to spare! Fine! I shall poke you to submission!
[1d20 = 14]>>100129Aha! It appears thine dice god have forsaken thou! Have at you!
[1d20 = 4]>>100130OOF! Nay! I shan't lose faith to the dice god! He will deliver thou to your demise for your blasphemy, cretin!
[1d20 = 3]>>100131Your hubris is an affront to thine dice god. Shall we continue, or has thou realized the fault in thine ways?
[1d20 = 6]>>100132Ha ha! You have spouted your blasphemous rhetoric for far too long! Thou shall receive the wrath of the dice god for your disrespectful dismissal of his existence!
>>100133Hmm. It appears we are at stalemate. Shall we call a truce, while we still have
some favor with our deities?
>>100135Oh hey. Just goofing around. Ready to keep going?
>>100134I agree. I believe there is a hidden meaning in this encounter we must mull over. For now, we shall face the trails each one of us has ahead.
>>100135Just a fair bit of sport, my fine fellow!
>>100145Sadly, I can't into inconsequential RP. Don't want to prematurely reach bump limit.
Probably GM will be here in about 3 to 4 hours.[He might make me eat these words if he suddenly responds
>>100147Well shit. Words for dinner tonight.
Maybe. Your ID makes me doubtful So yes, Dark Dtar is free to do his next thing. Iron should be finishing up his adventure though I hope I don’t fuck up this ending
Brie should be starting his day, hopefully arriving in Bales.
I don’t generally want to question any actions of characters, but I’m unsure about the wisdom of staying up the remainder of the train ride. Obviously it would prevent being completely snuck up on, but the only place that would be particularly likely is upon arrival in a station, meaning it would only be necessary to be awake in the 5 or so minutes prior to arrival in the station. I would think the train would awaken passengers through an intercom anyways, so they don’t miss their stop. Brie’s weird cat-things should be able to give him at least some notice of any intruder entering the room. Not sleeping runs the real possibility if being fatigued later, and most importantly, prevents healing of wounds
>>100149I can't right at this moment but
soonJust to make sure we are in the same page, it would continue after Iron knocks the barely hit pony while Cauldron gunned down the other, right?
>>100150Yes. The immediate danger is cleared, although with loud as hell gunshots
>>100151Alright, laptop is up but is being held by phone wifi. Ready to start?
>>100149Dark Star kisses Blue then says
"I gotta go talk to sea breeze."
>>100154Iron decides to pick up some rope and tie the now unconscious pony in order to neutralize him for the time being.
After this, he cranes his head towards the entrance in front of him.
"Pear, do you remember if there were any traps from that entrance onwards?"
>>100155"Inside of the temple? You must understand that these temples are not full temples, like the pyramids to the sungoddess elsewhere in the valley. These are stone slabs of basalt placed over caverns that lead into undergound watershed and rivers - believed by the Neighuatl to be entrances to the underworld. There should be no traps in the conventional sense, but that is not to say there is no danger."
>>100156Iron nods.
"I am simply making sure."
With that, he walks inside. He is a bit anxious over the dangers of entering a place where the dead go to the underworld, but knows that he has to beat up that maroon colored stallion that threatens the entire group. Besides, he could get some money from this whole endeavour and he's not one to back away from profit.
>>100157Do you want unprovoked knowledge tidbits from Pear, ask more questions, or just go in raw without commentary and only receive descriptions? As stated before, the temple seems to be built with large stone slabs of pure black, maybe two feet thick, four feet across, and eight feet long... err, 2/3 of a meter thick, more than a meter across and two and a half meters long. The blocks seem to be overlapped by some unknown arcane means, and there is a flat roof above an entrance some 20ft/ 6 meters wide, and 10ft/3 meters high. To each side are recessed little portions of the wall, perhaps as many as three recesses on each side. Some of these are in the wall, recessed like a book shelf. Some are layered, like a flight of stairs almost. For this area, natural light comes inside from a setting sun, illuminating this portion with a reddish light. Some of the recesses have decayed plant matter, sone of them have pottery. Sone are simply empty.
>>100158Unprovoked tidbits, please.Iron decides to inspect the pottery more closely.
>>100159“Small little gifts to deceased ancestors would sometimes be placed around the entrance of these temples”
The pot is circular with a convex middle section, and a a rim that extends outwards. There are no handles. It’s a beige color that looks like the original color of the fired clay, but with a very faded blue band around the center. All in all, it isn’t that fancy
>>100160Iron feels like he shouldn't mess with this pottery, even though it could be worth a fortune. Otherwise, the gods may see him in a bad light and not help out from what Pear had just said. He shakes his head, opting to see the decaying plants instead. Maybe some could be useful to Cauldron and not be decayed.
>>100161The piece of plant matter are black, and fairly long
Cauldron adds
“Looks like it used to be a plucked flower”
>>100162Iron nods. He must be careful not to disturb these presents of the dead or else the gods will probably not help him.
He walks over to the entrance to see what's inside.
>>100163Didn’t he already go through the entrance?
>>100164Did he? Shit. I thought there was another room inside this temple.Iron blinks in confusion. "Why would the guards guard a graveyard?" he utters.
>>100165“I don’t know... maybe they thought the idols themselves were valuable. Maybe they were looking for gold tossed into the cistern. Maybe they didn’t understand what was here. Maybe they just wanted to rob
us.”
>>100166Iron furrows his brow.
"This does not seem right. Are you sure this is the whole temple?"
>>100167“Of course it isn’t. It extends into the cavern.”
>>100168"Oh."
Iron slaps himself on the face to try and shake off the lack of attention he's currently having. He looks further into the caverns and continues walking there.
>>100169The floor at the entrance looks artificial or carved, being perfectly flat. As he goes further, the ground becomes tougher and uneven. He also strays away from the increasingly dim twilight outside. It becomes black. The air becomes cooler, more moist.
Iron may need light to continue deeper
>>100170Iron hums, actually rather stumpted on how to light the way. He knows that tripping himself up is going to be a likely outcome, and falling over dead pony's gifts is a sureway to lose the gods' cooperation. He looks back towards the group. "Does anyone of you have anything to see through the darkness?"
>>100171Cauldron pulls a flashlight from her pack, and turns on the black instrument, projecting a cone of light some feet forward
Pear: “I lost mine when the bandits attacked”
>>100172Íron nods, slightly relieved Cauldron has magic to light the way, albeit in a short cone.
(It will have to do.)
He looks to Cauldron.
"Use some of your rope to tie your cone of magic light to my head."
>>100173“... okay”
She takes some twine, and wraps the flashlight around Iron’s head as instructed
>>100174Item acquired: Earth Poner Horn! (Only a literal light show)
Iron, now having light in front of him, startst the trek again. He mostly looks at the ground by the off chance he could step on as he continues his travel further deep into the cavern.
>>100175The pathway is fairly narrow, maybe two meters in width at most points, although varying. it proceeds downwards, but unevenly. Indeed, the ground is fairly uneven. Mostly the roof of this path is free of obstacles. Iron can only really see to his side, not in front of him
