Welcoming new players, and raping welcoming back the old ones, itt continuing the RP Game threads. It's largely classic D&D 3.5e, but only as a baseline of rules and details and such. With every session something gets tweaked, added, pissed on, or thrown out the fucking window. We're right now introducing a new character, so anyone interested is welcome to follow along.

Sorry everyone, I've been a little bit salty tonight. I've had a laundry list of stuff to do, along with today being a record-breaking bad day. I have been a far cry from my best, but I'll be better tomorrow.

Can you take away or nerf Tracy's etherealness? It's like Plato's Ring of Gayges. Not only is it extreme OP, and not only is it completely unjustified by the rules, he's been using it extensively to try to do shit against other players and get away with it. He's been trying to use it as the excuse for why he can steal or assault other players without being tracked down or grappled, and he loves to do that. The game was fun to play before you gave him that bullshit, and then after that it's become significantly less fun.
If he wants to steal from or assault other players, force him to be vulnerable to grapple, tracking down, and sword fights. Don't let him just poof out.
There's also zero in game justification For it. Why the hell would a power that comes from a transformation to an animal also exist while not in that state? At least limit it to post transformation, and limit transformation, so he can't be a dick as easily

I kept it to a minimum, but normally I make a point to be more engaged and responsive. Tonight I was a tad dismissive, and I regret it.

I need something done about about it, and I am not going to continue playing if I have to put up with his bullsgit again. He absolutely refuses to do it on his own. The only thing I can do is ban him from /vx/, but that's not a good solution. We need very serious in game consequences. Otherwise, this game is not worth the massive time investment

Actually, for that matter, may as well just hand over the vest to Infernius to go with those grenades: the thing really I wanted most out of it was the potential to pull-out dimerterium bombs as a free action and throw them right at the ground to create an instantaneous anti-magic field, before slitting the throats of confused mages. I'll just forget about party tricks and have her wear light armor instead Also, think of it as a way to trick him into wearing more clothes.
Of course, a dwarf-sized vest would never fit a Minotaur, but the essential components could be grafted onto a aesthetic combat sash, for the grenades and materials for clerical rituals.
Take the smoke bottle and everything else in the pockets too. My character can already practically turn invisible, and portable concealment would be good for a healer who can quickly flank and pick-up allies.

GM, could the Necklace of Adaption be combined with the Bag of Holding to store a living creature in the bag? Normally, they could last for only 10 minutes before they are kaput, but the Amulet does provide protection from suffocation. I've been looking for exactly this kind of synergy.

I won't promise that in its entirety: It's already my character at this point (and I'm still salty).

Befriending her was unironically the only in-character solution to the situation at hand that didn't end with someone dying, and even then it wasn't that in character because Tracy doesn't make friends. Anyway, if you saw the only other living member of your race being held captive by alien creatures until he was sent-off to be made into magical glue, what would you have done?
I've had to take writer's liberty since the beginning to justify her not harming/incapacitating your character,

Yeah, sure I guess it normally would've taken a legendary sleight of hand check in other circumstances, and alternatively walking through a whole town while ethereal would be just asking to have your soul sucked-out by a spook. She's a unicorn though: notoriously hard to catch (guards would've come to feed her and kicked themselves for forgetting she could teleport).
I had figured I was going to have to kill someone as I led her out too, but that set-up would've dragged The Game on longer than it needed to and GM still had a Boss Fight to prepare that evening.

She was a regular horse when she did that (assume hybrid shape). It was a gesture to how retarded it is to approach a restless mare from behind while only the front hooves are restrained. Your character is a lvl 15 Paladin with Heavy armor, so it shouldn't have been damaging. I had the idea for her to fully-transform and met/break the shackles, but I didn't want to lose them, or reveal that forcing her way out was a possibility.

You could've just smacked her and said "smite evil" (idk how many times I gotta hint it that that's all you have to do to stop her: it's literally a safe word for unfunny >rape scenarios, if you hadn't realized that by now) and the horsing-around could've been over without someone's legs being cut off.
