So Tracy has been soaked in the blessings of pure Elway, on his hallowed ground of Mile High. Some weird tentacular thing came out of herdon't even look at me, this was pure player RP, but it was exquisite, so who am I to argue? and is dissolving into the turf, while Trump and Fae and several of the Generals eagerly anticipate the result of their careful and brilliant maneuver.
If you're just joining us, I can simplify these threads really simply: Its a text-based RPG based loosely on D&D 3.5ed, except there's a shitposter in place of the computer. Feel free to interact, as you will. whether for conversation/bantz ("Random passerby says: You're a faggot.") or whatever.

>>44157>favoritismTotally,he says sarcastically.
>>44157>where the hell does the +19 on the strength score come from?Minotaurs have a +8 racial Str Modifier, on top of Monstrous Humanoid traits and a couple extraordinary abilities.
https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Minotaur>players who are multi-classing are supposed to take experience penaltiesThat only applies to base classes, not prestige classes.
>>44157Hey, don't drag me into this. I only teleport to travel during meta time.
>Sorcerers are supposed to have a set and limited...I don't have things like +35 roll bonuses and shit unlike you guys, give me this
>>44160Wilder is not a prestige class
>minotaurs have a whatever bonusGM said Infernius was a half-orc for racial purposes, and if yoy get that kind of base bonus then that is unfair haxx. Let me be a half-celestial if you're going to pull that bullshit
If Tracy spends 2000 XP on a permanent abjuration, would that send her back a level? I want that Armor of Darkness.
>>44161>give me thisIf the memes are good.
>>44162I gave up on Wilder a long time ago, before I even learned the rules.
>>44162>Let me be a half-celestialKill an angel and drink its blood. Unironically.
>>44164Good point.
The XP system is kind of fugged though. Di you really want to quantify how much XP each and every skeleton whoever killed is worth?
>>44163>if the memes are goodFine by me, thats all I want
>>44166I'm sure there would be enough Angel-flesh to go around.
>>44167I don't ever calculate it. Those pirates for example, I said "meh, 200 exp"
>>44171What? You mean the one I'll use to save Infernius when the (((griffon))) attacks him?
>>44173Then which meme do you want?
>>44170If Tracy spends 2000 XP on a lvl 4 permanent Abjuration, would that send her back a level?
I want that Armor of Darkness.
>>44172What Griffon?
>>44167>Do you really want to quantify how much XP each and every skeleton whoever killed is worth? My point was that if we are going to deviate from the rules in places where the rules are stupid, the "enchantment bonuses don't stack" rule is as good a rule to deviate from as "multi-classer's take penalties," especially since not allowing enchantment bonuses to stack would make spells like Bull's strength pointless once you already have a belt of strength or a cloak of charisma. After all, wouldn't you rather Tracy be able to take multiple enchantment bonuses?
Also,
>MathDon't tempt me. I
love the mathematized combat system, and I may start doing the same to xp if I can find a table
>>44176Yes
>>44179If it's cast on her, can the caster use her XP?
>>44178Show me the meme that gets you some cool shit in game.

>>44180lvl 4 Darkness domain abjuration: cloaks the wearer in a shadowy armor or dressing that gives them a deflection boost to AC. The shadows bend around the wearers body at will.
https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Armor_of_Darkness >>44182No, she would have to be the spellcaster to incur the penalty to xp.
this fucking captcha >>44177I never really ever get caught up in that much math, optimization or statistical stuff, desu. I just keep trying to get moar of whatever I can get and hope it helps me later on.
>>44187She can't transfer her XP to the caster?
>>44186"Holy shit,
I want that now," Thez says.
"I'd have gone for it too," Korak's corpse says.
>>44190"Ikr?! Darkness is the new Black."
>>44188>I just keep trying to get moar of whatever I can getI've noticed. You ask for at least two new things every day. Actually being given things doesn't sate you or alter your pattern of asking for gibs either. Like the Zombies in Max brook's books
>>44193To me, Adventuring is all about growing moar powerful, and acquiring ebin loot.
>pic related >>44194The only one that could cast it would be you, with Miracle.
>>44195>>44197So you acquire it in the tower or through haxx from GM?
>>44196Okay but tracy owes Infernuis a favor.
>>44199>>44196It's unique to the darkness domain. Only a cleric with the Darkness domain can cast it. Which is no one in the party
>>44198I don't have anyone to murder or steal from, so I dig up everything I can possibly get right here.
>>44199She'd greatly appreciate it.
Making it permanent would be another matter though, because we can't just make Torc pay the XP.
>>44201Miracle can duplicate any spell of 7th level or lower. It's better than Wish in that regard.
>>44202Miracle costs 5k exp tho,....
>>44204Only the uber-powerful affects cost XP, the spell-duplication doesn't.
https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Miracle >>44204Ok. Would i have to spend 10k to give it to thez too?
>>44204Armor of darkness isn't an armor, it's a short lived defensive spell. Are you going to allow Dispel Evil or Death Ward or Holy Sword to be permanent enchantments as well, since they are almost perfectly equivalent 4th level abjuration spells?
>>44207Holy Sword is a transmutation though, not an abjuration.
It's a great spell for a lvl 4 though, especially if you're not fortunate enough to have a magick weapon. I'm surprised you don't cast it more often.
>tfw no ebil equivalent >>44206Hold your hoersus. Let me do a bit of reading on this one.
>>44209I think there's a reason the original permanency list limited the number of possible spells to a small number. There is a never ending set of possible abjuration and what have you spells to make permanent.
>>44211>There is a never ending set of possible abjuration and what have you spells to make permanent.Just do it on a case-by-case basis then. I don't see why a campaign should only be limited to what the game makers decided on.
>>44211I'm sure there was, but what fun would that be? I'm not going to let it just be cast and made permanent like that, anymore than Tracy can 'just' make a pair of Wolf boots.
>>44212Because (you) will abuse the hell out of it, taking away fun in one way or another
>>44214>taking away funHow is an ebin shadow suit less fun?
>>44215You'll find a way, I have faith in you. But it would only be the first of God knows how many dozens of other permanency abjurations
>>44219You won't abuse it, but... Uh... I don't know, wouldn't you rather have a different abjuration that isn't based on darkness?
>>44220I haven't looked at the list.
Its a really cool idea, but idk,... it would give Tracy auto-concealment, which means auto sneak attacks
Nevermind, it only conceals features (as with a cloak) but not their person (so no sneak attacks). I can tell its for higher-level campaigns because it caps out at 41st level. I'm gonna say as a quest-augment, I'll probably allow it.
>>44224Can the level 4 abjuration spell stoneskin be made permanent?
>>44225Now
that is OP. It's a level 4 only relative to sorcerers, it's higher level for every other class
>>44225Well, yes technically, but it still expires after reducing 150 hp
>>44226Dude, why do you keep policing what everyone else wants instead of looking for stuff for yourself?
>>44228The shit I ask for gets denied anyways
As you said, (you) are a thief and will take everything, which you do, and you take it from us
>>44227Doesnt seem worth it then desu.
>>44229>you take it from usWhen was the last time she did that?
The most she's even taken recently was the Orb of Storms. You've had first pic out of most other things since then.
>>44231You've done it before. Besides, you've changed these threads into "GM can tracy craft x" rather than actual role play and encounters. Rather than trying to play home-shopping-network and just collect things for the sake of collecting things, or try to make characters perfectly invincible so there is either no challenge at all or too much challenge when we need to face invincible opponents, try to optimize, be practical, and above all be reasonable in items
>>44232>You are not your fucking khakisI kind of agree with this
>>44232>rather than actual role play and encountersI've participated in almost every encounter, wtf?
>trying to play home-shopping-networkEh, I guess that's not far from the truth...
I just like looting things and using cool doodads. That's why I picked Rogue.
>>44234>I've participated in almost every encounter, wtf?Yes, but the number of "GM can Tracy get x magical enchantment, craft y item, or get le ebin z super power item for free" posts in these threads outnumber the number of roleplay and encounter posts.
>I just like looting things and using cool doodads.Okay, let's loot the Pyramid when we get the chance
>>44235>outnumber the number of roleplay and encounter postsTrue, but that's just what I do while The Game isn't in session.
>>44236I mean, we play 2-3 days a week, the rest is just meta shitposting, so I guess the shitposting might be somewhat disproportionate..
>>44237Of course, I'm always down for character development/dialogue.
>>44238*dry laughter*I guess I could do better...
I'll be away for the next hour
>tfw
>>44236I've noticed. But you still claim warehouses full of items from it, or forget about items. We all have items that we've recieved and forgotten about. I have abilities and items I forgot about, GM has forgotten about items, Torcuil has absolutely forgotten about items. It's barely about characters anymore, just items and abjurations and spells and haxx and so forth it feels like.
Remember when you killed three - three! - giants with nothing more than two daggers, a simple mud pony, a desire to stab and a waifu toss from an ally? That doesn't happen anymore. It's all "try to figure out x magical whatever/find the item we've got for this" and the creativity is lost. For example, balance, jumping, climbing, and swimming are all skills, even class skills, for many characters. Just figuring out how to cross a canyon can be a challenge - a fun challenge. Platform games like Uncharted are in substantial part about mundane and simple challenges like this. But when your character can just fly - and can only fly because begged for haxx - the fun of mundane challenges is gone.
>>44243>or forget about items. Which ones? I have a list of everything she's in possession of.
>creativity is lostGood point...
Good times...
>>44243>figuring out how to cross a canyon can be a challengeAll the characters can fly though.
>>44243>mundane challengesI still haven't picked a single lock or detected any deadly traps, now that I think of it.
>>44245>Which ones? I have a list of everything she's in possession ofI didn't accuse you of losing track of items. But I am absolutely certain that I have lost track, and Torcuil has lost track, and GM has lost track. And I know we have things we have never used
>All the characters can fly thoughAnd... you've perfectly missed my point. There's almost an entire level in Uncharted 3 devoted to swimming through a ship-graveyard, and climbing through the wreckage of ruined oil tankers and container ships trying to find places to climb and jumping between steel beams, all the while being challenged and shot at by pirates. Thanks to the proliferation of haxx and items and spells, I will never have as much fun trying to do the same in this RPG as I could in that video game. But frankly, that was just an example. I could go down a long list of ways haxx kills fun.
Also, if my character has to hitch a ride in order to avoid falling to death, so can yours
>>44247That's the spirit!
>>44248>I am absolutely certain that I have lost trackTbh, you don't really use half of yours.
>>44249Again, my point is that the game is more fun as an action-adventure RPG than as a home-shopping net work game
>>44250Then why do you keep them?
>>44251I've repeatedly tried to share several of them
>>44252Can Tracy use those bootz? She does extra damage when she flanks.
>>44253I want to flank and lay of hands attack Hillary Clinton first though. But I'm sure she'll end up with them eventually. But I would like the charm and the cloak, for at least part time use. I really, really want the Epic Leadership feat, and the Great Smiting feat is a prerequisite for the Divine Emissary class. Both require 25 charisma, which my character is 7 points away from. Also I'm jealous of six gorrillion hit point sneak attack damage
>>44254>flank and lay of hands attack Hillary ClintonYou can move 30 ft in one round, can't you. Would be a great finisher thought. Would love to see it.
>Epic Leadership feat, and the Great Smiting feat is a prerequisite for the Divine Emissary class.Yeah, I noticed 3.5e has a whole lot of impractical classes, monsters, items and ebin spells made for unbalanced campaigns of epic level. After looking at the books they came out of, I think they're mostly for experienced players and DMs who just make up their own rules so they can play legendary heroes.
>I'm jealous of six gorrillion hit point sneak attack damageWalk the path of the Blackguard with me.
>>44255How go get epic level blacksmith?
>>44254>Great SmitingActually, I think you can bypass the prereq for that and select it as a bonus at lvl 24 Paladin
or earlier with Blackguard.
>>44256Start by getting to lvl 20, then become a statistical demigod
(Demigod is actually stronger, maybe just an Abomination)
