With Nuts of course.
Happy Holidays to everyone! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Yule, Hearths Warming, or some other degenerate (Kwanza) or (((unspoken))) tradition, I hope you have a safe and 'as happy as possible' holiday season as you no doubt maneuver in and out of the world of normies and others!
I have no idea if any crucial gaming will occur weekend, but its about to get funky-fresh on several fronts. We last left Torcuil trying to navigate through Krenshal for someone skilled and crazy enough to build a Robo-ponk. Trumpaladin and Tracy were getting their things together to hunt a Unicorn with Elway's blessing and direction. Thez is being a little bit emo (its the hormones) while Infernius continues being a dutiful and upstanding guy.
What will happen next, and in what order? Will the players defy GM's careful designs for the umpteenth time? You can bet on that!

>>37866But what does that mean for me?
>>37864>that's sexistSo, when did your armor turn white?
>Torc sits content with hax that no one ever gets mad about >>37863Your skill points is equal to 2+int modifier per level, plus (2+int modifier)x4 at the first level, as well as 4 at the first level plus 1 per each additional level as a racial feature.
Torcuil has an int of 16, thus a modifier of +3. Torcuil has 99 skill points in total to allot.
He has 4 ability points in total to allot, although I would not be surprised if you have allotted 3 of these already
>>37863>SloveniaTrolling is easy, all you have to do
>>37864Decent points. To be honest, the only reason I haven't had any issue with it so far is because Tracy hasn't really done anything useful with them so far (what? its true,....). I don't mean to diminish the irritation that others have experienced, but none of it has really affected gameplay.
>>37867>white armorI was thinking it, for the record
It means (Intelligence modifier +2)x19 are the skill points that can be applied. They don't matter much, but they may as Torcuil gets more jiggy with custom spells and such (I'd also recommend Spellcraft)
>>37868That's wrong. Torcuil has 114 skill points to allot
>>37869>trollingWhat?
>white armorDid you not get my joke?
>>37868How can I allot something I don't know about?
>>37845>>37857Also, part of why I want Tracy to make relations with Hags is that I feel like I kind of bullshitted that last requirement for Blackguard. When I first read about the class as "one who was empowered by the fiends" I jumped on it, because Tracy had just gained power by consuming the essence of two different fiend. The thing is, she didn't gain that power through Diplomacy, she stole it. I want to own this Blackguard theme and make her become a master of monsters.
>>37869>SpellcraftEpic Spells are the boss.
I gtg for a while, see you in an hour.
Now feats are a whole different area, and one I suggest paying more attention to. Feats amount to "techniques", "tricks", "abilities", or otherwise individual nuances and devised strategies that often result in unique or novel moves/actions. For spellcasters in particular, there are a number of metamagic feats that allow quickened casting, silent casting, maximized casting, etc. of whatever spell. A fireball does 1d6/lvl of damage, but a maximized fireball does 6/lvl of damage.
>>37872Are you sure you still want blackguard? It's the exact opposite fighting style of a rogue or assassin
>>37871>What?Who?
>armor jokeDid you not get my joke of getting your joke?
>>37872Ooooookaayyyyyy,....
>>37875>exact opposite fighting style of a rogue or assassinThey get Sneak Attack too; that much is useful. 1d10 HD per level isn't bad either, and Aura of Despair is useful with the Assassin's Death Attack.
I at least want five levels; then she'll be able to summon her Fiendish Servant.
I'll admit that everything beyond lvl 5 is really just Dead Levels though. Smite Good is really only useful for Fallen Paladins. I'll probably put it into Assassin or Rogue after that.
My bottom line point is that I want to play an ebil character, and I feel like I haven't been ebil enough lately. I want to crack it up a notch.
>>37877So,... if I'm reading this right, you want your 16 lvl character to - again - level shift, so that now they're a 10/rogue 1/assassin 5/BG?
>>37878She had 13 levels in Rogue, 2 in BG, and 1 in Assassin.
>againWhen did she ever do that last time?
>>37877>I want to play an ebil characteerAre you sure? In the past three days you've been complaining about looting a sword taken from a defeated enemy who helped to steal massive resources from the party and the city they are supposed to be protecting, saying "it belongs to him." You've also complained about a horse's life being valued less because it's not of use to the party, "that's not how you value life anon." And this besides feeling the need to resurrect enemies like zombies.
It's okay if you want to play a lawful good paladin. Just have her put on the helm, and she can POOF be the Paladin she believes her husband ought to be
>>37878I think he wants to use his new levels to advance blackguard. Then again, he said he wanted to put them into rogue. I don't know
>>37878So can i inquire about armor now?
>>37880>you've been complaining about looting a sword taken from a defeated enemy who helped to steal massive resources from the partyI didn't complain, I said I wouldn't do it because he'd probably just immediately figure out who stole his stuff.
Also, meta discussion is not the same as chgaracter development. My standards are not that of the character I play.
>>37881(USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)Just kidding. What do you want to know?
>>37882Then will you please for the love of God stop moralizing about our character's actions while playing a dumb as fuck "ebil" character who wants to burn down the entire party's wood resources because "edgy le ebin ebil :DDDDDD" and resurrect the Tarasque and other shit that keeps harming the party because "oh so edgy"
>>37884>>37879I'm just saying I want to put the next 3 levels into Blackguard, and I want to make her a lot moar ebil to accommodate reher role.
>>37884>resurrect the TarasqueThat was not intentional.
>>37885>aspirationsNoted. Irrelevant for the moment, but noted.
>ressurrect the TerrasqueThat shit was hilarious btw
>>37886>was hilariousIt was pretty funny, I gotta admit.. Even though her dungeon was royally fucked up.
>>37889What did it for me was imagining the reactions of the ants
>>37888So u want some big-titty plate huh?
>>37890IT does not have to be you giga faggot.
>>37892i was thinking benis growth.
>>37897the gm can do what he wants its his game you fuck offf with your rules.
>>37892>>37896shit posting aside id like to have enlarge person at will on it.
>>37899Nigger I can post anything I want to in comment
>>37900That.... Is strangely cute
>>37899Except ban ppl and delete posts,....
>>37901So super big-titty plate
>>37901>At willArmor that grants abilities are generally a once per day thing
>>37903what are minotuars proficient with?
>>37907You're A Cleric. That's better than a Minotaur. But you're a half-orc for racial-statistical purposes
>Clerics are proficient with all simple weapons, with all types of armor (light, medium, and heavy), and with shields (except tower shields) >>37901>enlarge personJust cast Righteous Might on yourself every battle. It makes you bigger AND stronger.
>>37907By race, battleaxes.
Clerics get all simple weapons, while War Clerics get the Marital weapon of their Patron deity.
>>37911This. Spell abilities and shit have been the overwhelmingly least asserted element of gameplay. Got an ability hack you want to buff your character with? There's a spell for that. (there's an app for that reference)
>>37912I don't have very many spells though.. I like items because they're steal-able.
>>37911I can see a suit of armor that is enchanted with Righteous Might giving that ability then
>Battle axeskek, I'd love to see him duel wielding battle axes
>>37912Sadly this is true
>>37913Also sadly true.
Paladins have a few good spells but they are mostly buffs >>37915Just get a two-handed battleaxe. Make a giant fasce.
>>37916Good point. This will work. Although that sword is probably good enough
>>37916i was gonna make 2 though.
>>37916A fasce could probably do bludgeoning damage as well. Count it as an exotic weapon.
>>37921Through an elaborate ceremony that requires the blood of a patriot, the blood of an untermensch, and the Furher presiding
>>37921A fasce is just an axe wraped in rods of wood. Put all of the rods together around a bigger axe, and you've got a weapon twice as large. It should optimally be tied with a red band.
So, what do those skill points do?
How do they work?
How have I sunk so far into autism?
>>37922i know where i can get the blood of a patriot, but not the untermensch.
>>37923yea i know what a fasce is, i was going to make 2 of them. im not sure how they would fit together.
>>37923It'd be pretty unwieldy though
>>37925Just take a tree-orc's blood or something
Honestly I think a fasce would be better as a battle banner which your character should carry, since that is the actual intended purpose of a fasce
>>37924When you place them into a skill class and run a skill check, then you get those points added to your dice roll
>>37924Just put everything you can into Spellcraft and Knowledge Arcana for now, then figure out where to allocate the rest.
>>37925They wouldn't fit together, you could just use twice the number of rods around a single axe to make a heavier weapon.
>>37924>autismBy continually participating in this thread. As for the rest, they give nominal bonuses in context-related interactions, but they're more to give an idea of what the character is good at, or has a proclivity toward.
>>37925U were were you? You couldn't go for something simpler, like a battle axe with fascia iconographia along the haft?
>>37928Can I add items to Fae more or less the way you can to any other character, with appropriate adjustments made for anatomy?
>>37929I was going to ask the same thing about Tracy's birds, once they grow to full size (birds grow wicked fast, it shouldn't take long now).
>>37928i wanted something unusal a plain battle axe is pleb-tier,
>>37929As long as you're keeping track,....
>>37931There's a fine line between a "not plain" battle-axe, and a homebrew weapon contrived just cuz reasons
>>37928Uh, how many points does Torc actually have?
>>37933I keep track of every item. Even the ones I haven't made much use of. Just because I haven't used the ever-smoking bottle (although I can think of a couple situations I should have used it) doesn't mean I have forgotten about it
>>37934And realistically these things should have eaten Tracy and not take orders from her. You're sharing these birds
>>37935I calculated 114. I may be wrong though. Remember that if a skill is not listed on the wiki page for a wizard, it's not a class skill, and so ranks in it cost two skill points and not one
How much bigger have her birds gotten actually? Can I get a size class?
>>37937>instant smokebombSo wasted,....
>>37936I didn't say no, but I do ask that players
accept more onus for their choices. I.e. If you wished for it, no bitching
>>37939Yeah, it would have been perfect for the scene in the stables where Infernius walks in for some reason
That armor Trumpaladin got from Korak. That's Celestial Armor, right? Except I think you said once that it is "neutral aligned" and it also seems to be glamoured.
>>37939Ikr. That thing is great for escapes and even Sneak Attacks, if used properly.
>>37939it alright i wont ask for anymore items, sorry.
>>37940You outta put some ranks in Hide.
>>37940Based off Celestial Armor, yes. "Ambivalent" is the "term" for the "Armor". Its not glamoured, but it has a "fixing" enchantment. Oh wait, you're not supposed to know about that, you're supposed to worry about how to fix the stuff.
>>37942Your penitence makes me more suspicious than your petitionance.
>>37944i just feel left out when it comes to gear most times.
>>37939>Taking responsibility for choicesI'm beginning to wonder if having my character complete his "fuck Unicorn A" quest was not as wise a choice as I thought
>>37943You want me to try black guard, don't you? That's not as easy as you might think though. He only gets 4 skill points per level (5 if I boost his Int) and 5 ranks of hide will cost him 10 points
>>37944Let me ask you my
real question. If Trumpaladin falls off of a flying mount, and issues the command "fly," will the armor save him, or will he fall?
>>37937Um, that's a lot.
Whats the max level I can go on skills?
I'm thinking maybe Knowledge (architecture and engineering) and spellcraft. Thoughts? >>37945You wanna help Tracy make some? They could get more done together.
Also, you should pack those vest pokets with some vials of Alchemist's Fire; I want to make a few for Tracy too.
>>37946I meant to use the bottle for escape. It won't help much if you have to pray for a good roll when you really need it.
>>37947You'll need those to create constructs, I think.
>>37946He'll fall.
Honestly, this is why I have such a hard time identifying with how readily you like to poke, jab, and prod at one another. I'm all for playful banter, OOC fights and all, but I thought the party was where one character attempts to OUT-DO other characters and make them all look bad for their poor role-playing.
>>37947Max of 16 skill points in class skills, and 8 in non-class skills.
>>37951Does that go for multiclass characters?
"Oh look, I've saved the party because the guards didn't bother to cavity check and I snuck in some poison."
"Oh look, I've negotiated the nefarious race into doing manual labor and helping the party build ships."
"Oh look, I've beaten everyone's faces in and there are a few dozen corpses to loot," (that last was Thez) is the sort of "party rivalry" I had been looking for
>>37950I never thought of making anyone look bad... Do I really come off like that?
>>37953For the most part, multi-class use more complicated math, but yeh.
>>37955Well you SHOULD!
>>37950Well, there goes one way of getting even with Tracy's bullshit free haxxor
>Honestly, this is why I have such a hard time identifying with how readily you like to poke, jab, and prod at one another. I'm all for playful banter, OOC fights and all, but I thought the party was where one character attempts to OUT-DO other characters and make them all look bad for their poor role-playing.What? I did not understand that at all
>>37954I tried that a couple times, most notably I thought I had talked down Korak. It's failed mostly
>>37955You used your bullshit etherealness and GM waiving the fact that the guards should have heard your talking to steal Slovenia from me
>>37957>You used your bullshit etherealness and GM waiving the fact that the guards should have heard your talking to steal Slovenia from meShe was going to be melted down into sovereign glue. It's not like I didn't give you a chance to try negotiating; it just didn't work.
>>37959No fuck you we would have gotten her
>>37960When?
Anyway, Tracy just got her out earlier.. Was there any problem with that?
>>37949Good to know
>>37951Then I guess max both for Torc
>>37954"Oh look, I fucking killed Kefka with one spell, and then fucked death to save a friend"
Like that?
>bread grows tiny mold >>37961Even with your bullshit Ethereal haxx you should have failed a hide check from the conversation and she never would have trusted you. Literally the only reason you were able to get her at all was because you begged GM "I've been here six hours to do one thing. Let me do that one thing." You did not earn that
>>37961Fuck you and fuck your Haxxor Fuck you and fuck your Haxxor Fuck you and fuck your Haxxor
>>37962>re: deathYes. YES. This is PRECISELY what I'm on about. Why can't you bitches be more like Torcuil?! Xp
>>37966a-are you referring to me?
>>37962>"Oh look, I fucking killed Kefka with one spell, and then fucked death to save a friend"Those were fucking awesome. Made me laugh my ass off
>>37963Of stop. Normally, you'd have to wait until level 23 and become a Divine Emissary if you wanted to cast Holy Word. If you can have epic-tier out-of-class abilities, why can't I?
