So as he can gather, as well as from Blue tells him, this guy is helping some kind of resistance fighter, but that guy is maried to some made that he used to love. And meanwhile there is this Changeling after him, as well as some collaborationist police officer. But the guy confronts the mare, and she gives a reasonable enough explanation for why she left him. They evade the Changeling until it is time to leave. But the guy shoots the Changeling and the collaborator decides to join the Equestrians, while the other guy goes off with his wife on an airship to Yakyakistan. And he lets go of the mare though they still seem to kind of love each other. It’s sort of sad and touching, or at least Blue has a tear

Vow of Poverty though, that's what I actually want to play. Fit right up her alley.

However, I've been playing her as a celibate for the time being, since that's an aspect of ascetiscism, imo. Particularly since she loves children, so denying herself her own foal is her way of reaching greater selflessness. It's not that she's taken a Vow, but it's her basic creed to deny herself worldly pleasures; minor exceptions may apply though.
Not that it couldn't change in the future though.
