Its meta AF atm, but the last thread is sooooo stale. The Game surprisingly continues! Infernius is borderline suicidal with a stalker, Trump and Tracy finally got engaged, Torcuil is in hiding, Norfilly is eating candy, Taylor is getting praise and adoration, Alex is a statue, Yak Lee is the surprise contender in the Fight Club,... yeah so stuff.

>>27810>>27811Nothing apparent aside from bugs and the occasional wee lizard. As the ground becomes increasingly moist and the surroundings increasingly less hospitable, the trail is harder to determine, as its not a straight path but makes many curves and turns at various points.

>>27815The generals.
If by any means at all possible, Trumpaladin communicates the following to Fae
"Path off of the main logging rode, partly disguised, find it and follow it. Single file line towards swamp. Have the men leave their horses there. Tell them have weapons drawn and be ready, look for danger. If you are ambushed, you'll have to fight it out, and call me."

>>27814[frustrated monster noises]
"Flashy, this place would be a royal pain in the ass to move in, normally. I think you should give up on bringing more horses through here, even the hoo-mans are going to have a hard time. I know from exerience that a place like this is perfect for ambushes too.."

The tracks appear to curve around the edge of a large bog. The ground - though moist - appears fairly well traveled both along the perimeter and leading to and from it. It seems that a variety of life uses this bog for a variety of purposes.
[1d20 = 17]>>27820Inspects ground to take a catalog of the local game/wildlife.
What kind of tracks are there other than troll prints? Anything of significance?
>>27822There's part of a dead fish stuck in the ground, but otherwise nothing discernable
>>27823Check dead fish. Is it something that could have been lifted out of the big by a bird? Could it have been left there from higher water levels? Or is it so big or from so far away something else must have dragged it out?
[1d20 = 19]>>27823Alright.
What about the surrounding area? Are there any tall trees surrounding the place, or is it mostly open?
Either way, look more closely to determine where the trolls have gone.
>>27824Its only part of a fish, and its rotten AF, but it appears to have come from nearby, possibly even the bog that you're near. You're welcome to check, but ew.
>>27825There are sparse, mossy covered trees, many of which have observable rot or decay, though some seem pretty solid. The area is more clear to the south-west, suggesting that it would be more hospitable to bipeds.
>>27826How deep does the bog seem? Could it house harge creatures?
Anyway, advance South West, all senses focused.
>>27826Communicate to Fae
"Continue following path around bog. Have men switch from melee to ranged weapon. Listen and look for hidden danger."
>>27827Its thick, there's no determining its depth without wading in.
>hargeI missed that until your correction
Upon passing and walking away from the bog, the ground slowly begins to thicken and dry. Its still mostly overgrown, but with the increasing stability the trail becomes more apparent and discernable.

>>27833How far behind Trump and Tracy are the Generals ooc?
Bug sounds decrease (but never cease) as along the path there appear to be edifices. Nothing particularly well-refined, but sticks tied to sticks, and the occasional hanging-mass (moss, sticks, and,... stuff?).
>>27832>how far behind are the GeneralsI am not sure.

>>27843You know, ferns and trees and brush and shit. Its the edge of a swamp, with moss and lots of overgrown-greenery.
Brown is bog
praise be, Blue is current location. Its more lit than previous areas (less tree overgrowth). With Tracy and Trump's gradual and elevated approach (no contact with ground means uber-silent) they are able to determine that this is a(the) troll encampment. A central fire cooks otherwise spoiled meat, spare weapons (crude javelins and throwing axes and clubs) adorn a rack nearby, sounds of other trolls can be heard from further on.
>>27846Communicate to Fae
"Troll encampment located. Southwest of swamp in marshy area. Assume battle formations when ground permits. Tight, because expecting melee opponents rather than ranged, mounted, or artillery. Prepare ranged weapons. Some of the trolls appear to be out of the camp, so please keep an eye out for possible attack"
[1d20 = 5]>>27846Tracy focuses her senses to determine how many trolls there are (what do I roll to count?)
[1d20 = 11]
Trumpaladin does spot check for number and location of trolls

>>27881>commandlol no Fae is a Magical Beast (non-dragon), and that thing easily overwhelms her hit dice.

Tracy takes advantage of her fly speed to circle around the edge of the bog to get out of the beast's line of sight.

Idk why you want to waste time by following the path and then end up in the Dragon's shooting range, when you have the opportunity to make a surprise attack and still end up in the same place in front of the dragon.
You don't charge dragons head-on.
>lay on handsSave it for the men. This thing is going to cover the whole swamp in acid, and it'll suck if their bodies melt.
