The thick layer of mist that has for so long obscured all vision past a short distance begins to clear, as a breeze from the southern ocean - cool by Baltimare standards yet clearly warmed by the unfrozen sea - makes its way along the ridge line, and pushes the fog along and north. Should they look, the party would see much of the island that was obscured before.

It's a relatively simple design - no fancy mahoghany here - and in front of it are two equally simple chairs with green fabric covering them. But behind the desk is a pony, a mare with a grey-purple, more or less lilac colored thin coat, and a deep, royal blue mane. But what is disturbing about this creature is its wings, which are not close to the body but haphazardly extend, and in the case of the right wing, even extends over the table. The wings are not covered in feathers, but are instead webbed with visible bony fingers between, and covered in a kind of purple velvet. She likewise has those tall, tufted ears that twitch when Vir enters the room. Vir has heard of these things before, even if she has not likely seen one this close - the dreaded bat ponies whom Celestia, in her sole unwise act, extended her mercy and allowed to live.
