In the far-off, northern island of Mended Horn, the party there has learned that they face an enemy they have dubbed "The Traveller." They have decided to go to an old, abandoned village there in hopes of rescuing some communist sailors.
In Baltimare, Dark Star tries to get things in order, while Virgin Flame looks for her old friend.

>>186822"Yes... I learned Ponish at the International school, for speaking with Equestrian refugees, and for speaking with our" She pulls her lips back in an expression of disgust
"Hippogriffian comrades..."
>>186823Silver nods. "I did not know how comfortable you were with language. Figured I would give you option of which language to speak in. Now...are you alone out here, Patient Pipette? Were there any other ponies or other creatures here before our group arrived?"
>>186820What does that mean statistically?
"I wonder if this ship could still fly....?"
>>186825A lot
>>186824"Yes. There is another here, still hiding, and the Commissar has left in a small group for the ridge."
>>186826Hmmmm. Now Silver is a little worried that Brie might have actually shot that other pony, if he panicked and tried to run. "Do you know where this other pony is hiding?"
>>186827"In the bombardier's station. We were trying to modify the radio."
>>186827Dont you worry about what Brie did
>>186828Silver nods, and heads into the bombardier's station to look for the other pony. He calls out, "Это безопасно, вы можете выйти сейчас. Мы услышали сигнал бедствия Черной Пяты." -
"It's safe, you can come out now. We heard the Black Heel's distress call."
>>186830A white maned head with grey ears pokes out of a whole near the flight engineer's station, then revealing a grey pony stallion.
Pipette says it is safe to come out in Severyanan.
>>186826Could my Dreads operate it?
Posey has her minions pick up one of the ones, one holding it steady stays behind the trigger.
>>186815Posey checks the nautical map, for any notes on it.
She takes the rafts and places them on the floating disk, believing that they could help with extraction.
She checks the survival kit and the medical kit, searching for any valuable items.
>>186831"Oh, another one."
"How many of you are there?" She asks Pipette
>>186831Silver smiles at the grey stallion, and offers him a hoof. "Как тебя зовут, друг?" -
"What is your name, friend?"
>>186832While it's in the turret, yes but with a penalty. Outside of the turret... It's a size issue.
It would also have to be removed from the turret to be taken. Not impossible by any means, but not without effort
The map is a nautical map of the Rocky Seas, although this one also goes down further towards Albion. it shows shipping lanes, as well as what seems to be a flight plan that avoids Stalliongrad and Nova Griffonia.
>>186833"I think... six, in total." She answers, unsure
>>186834"Практический взгляд" - "Practical View"
>>186835Silver: "Приятно познакомиться, Practical View. Я Silver Sword." -
"Nice to meet you, Practical View. I'm Silver Sword."Silver turns back to Pipette. "We are not only group to have heard Commissar Black Heel's distress call. Stalliongrad has sent GRU to kill all witnesses and bring Traveler - that entity that is on Kostroma - back home for study."
>>186836He comes out, and nods to Silver.
Pipette is silent for a moment, and then says
"How do you know that is what they are going to do?"
>>186804Cavaliere is also stuck in limbo, as he approaches the scene of Brie's targeting first. Is there anything there or will he go to catch up with the others?
>>186838There seems to be nothing there, but something is happening in, or on the other side of the plane
>>186839He climbs on top of the plane for a quick look around the perimeter before lowering himself in.
>>186840It would be a decent view but for the fog. Cavaliere can see the trail the plane left behind as it crash landed
>>186840Then he sees Silver with the two new ponies, including one mare who speaks Ponish
>>186837Silver: "It is GRU. They would not have sent GRU for simple rescue mission. Stalliongrad really wants to study that thing, consequences be damned, and they can not allow any potential survivors to spread stories that would make them look bad or cause international incidents. It is not good look to use eldritch extradimensional entity to forcefully spread communism."
>>186841>>186842Does he see the torpedo?
"Good evening, miss. Is this plane your shelter?"
>>186842Brie continues to surveil around the plane, content to let others determine what is gainful about the plane
>>186845For the moment, at least, it seems that Silver's plan to bargain with The Traveller has worked. No new summons have attacked.
Far off in the distance, however, is the sound of gunshots
>>186844It's in the bomb bay, should he look
She looks to him
"Sort of... Not really... Maybe, if we cannot leave."
>>186843"Oh, it's an interesting thing to study. But they couldn't want to kill us. Would they? Why would they want to silence us?"
>>186846"Im not the only one eho heard that? Gunshots?:
>>186847Yes.
But. There is a
nasty taint. Oil? Fuel?
>>186848Brie may may actually be the only one. Only Dust is outside. Well, Dust and the throng of griffins and ponies the other party members have drug along. Oh. And Mala. Mala is outside with Brie.
Mala looks up at Brie
>>186846He's more focused on the ponies.
"Study? Did you know Dr. Evening Damp?" he questions.
>>186846Shrugging, Brie attempts to crouch. And make his way toward the sound of gunshots.
"Perhaps it'll be a right fellow such as myself, with the presence of mind to not....
He thinks to.himself. pist.at the ready. Move Silently ]1d20+15]
Oh ffs [1d20+15 = (2+15) = 17]
>>186850"Yes, he was with us on the ship in the forward cargo hold before we made a break for it."
>>186852Not his... best work, but Brie makes his way down the hill. He can't see the source because of the fog, but he hears the sound again.
>>186849Brie is being negligently nonvocal, but he clearly is expecting to shoot something in the vicinity
>>186846Silver: "As I said, they do not want world to know what it is they are attempting to study. You have seen what it does, what power it wields. If it gets out that Stalliongrad is studying it for their own ends, it will not look good for them. It would cause international incidents."
>>186854He does a whistling chirp, preparing to engage. The intent is to draw attention without being obvious.
>>186856"Well...." She is about to speak, but stops. Eventually, she adds,
"It is more than Stalliongrad studying it."
>>186855>>186857The sound seems a little further away than imminent
>>186854>>186858"Unfortunately he is deceased now. His notes indicate that merely being in the general vicinity of this creature causes insanity. More than Stalliongrad? Then who else?"
>>186858"I heard gunshots over in that direction," Brie says pointing. "It might be worth investigating."
>>186858>>186860Is the direction Brie is pointing in towards the North Bay?
>>186861Cuz I know? Its over there *points*
>>186859"Oh... That is unfortunate. Several countries in the International." She tilts her head
"Should I be saying this?"
After a pause,
"You can go near it, sort of, but you can feel it. It has an aura, like an electric charge. You should not stay near it long, and do not sleep. Your dreams will be unpleasant at best."
>>186860>>186861Yes.
>>186863The griffon nods thoughtfully.
"You were a lab assistant on the Kostroma? How did you know when to evacuate?"
>>186863>>186860Silver: "It sounds as though Traveler and GRU have come into conflict. That is good for us. We have some time while they are both distracted." He returns his attention to Pipette. "Stalliongrad would still not want word of this thing to escape this island. They want to keep it secret. What better guarantee of secrecy than to permanently silence those who would have spoken of it?"
>>186863If no one else is seemingly responsive, Brie is still quite interested in the sound of gunshots.
>>186865"It sounds as though you're busy in a dialogue," Broe snaps back
>>186866>>186867Excuse us, I thought you were creeping towards their source, and outside the airplane. You would have to climb in to talk with us.
>>186864Breathing in,
"I knew better than to go to sleep. Many of us did, in the science crew. It had been giving us dreams. We thought we were more vulnerable than the rest of the crew. There was a disagreement with Science officer Light Water, and a griffin from the international contingent, and a few of his crew, who wanted to try to awaken the creature. We wanted to keep it sedated and study its powers, or disect it if possible... It was just after nightfall, when Light Water had more access to it than we... We did not lock the hold well... It seems that other ponies were affected. The ships crew. The marines. They held a sort of mutiny. But they must not have been fully conscious... we did not realize what it was doing, or how far it had gotten."
>>186865"I am not surpised, but are you sure they will not welcome us home?" She asks
"Yes, but... They trust us, right?"
>>186866crack
>>186869"Oh for goodness sake," Brie mutters, crouching. Does he need to roll a check to assess the distance?
I would like to apologize for being so scarce this evening. I have been very busy.
>>186869"Where is Light Water now? Is he still on the Kostroma? Did you know about this plane before you came here?" He pauses.
"Excuse me, I don't think I got your name.">>186871Do not fret, Friday evening is a highly competitive time slot for many.
>>186870Sure
>>186871pets ze posey>>186872"No... I think he is on the Kostroma, but he may have come to land. My name is Patient Pipette."
>>186869Silver: "I am certain they would not. That is why they sent GRU, not some regular division of marines. They are Stalliongrad's 'problem solvers', in that they are sent to cover up their mistakes, not fix them. Kira says you know where airship and Commissar are. Come with us.
We will stop Traveler, fix this mess, and keep you all safe."
>>186874She lowers her head, then looks down, then back up.
"Well... Okay... Have you spoken to the Commissar?"
>>186875Silver: "We have not seen him yet. That is where you could help by leading us to him. We are going to gather as many friendly forces as we can on this island before we make our assault upon Kostroma."
>>186873>>186874>>186875He nods with Silver's proclamation.
"You have our word, Miss Pipette. When we arrived at the village where his holdout stayed, they were under attack and we helped them, but he was missing. He might still be somewhere on this island."
>>186876"I know where he is. He will have ideas."
>>186877"Light Water... He's either on the Kostroma, or here."
>>186878Light Water isn't the commissar, is he? I believe he's the Fellow Traveler's chief spokespony.
>>186879Pipette believes that the two are
not together.
>>186873[1d20+10 = (20+10) = 30]
>>186878Silver: "Good. There is one thing I hope to do first that will take just moment, then we will be off."
Based off of the locations Pipette gave, what's closer, the Commissar or the Airponies?
>>186879Light Water's the chief scientist, Black Heel is the Commissar.
>>186871Turning to Posey, Silver asks her, "Your magic, or that scroll...could they do anything to make this fight against Traveler easier? Or perhaps make it so that GRU can not pursue us when we make our escape from this island?"
>>186879"Commissar" is Commissar Black Heel
>>186881Two sources of sound, both on the North Bay. One is a little North and to the east on the shore. The other is to the west somewhat, and north, near the center of the island on the shore. Each is around about one mile away.
>>186882The commissar unambiguously, as they are on the same hill.
>>186883Hmmm, okay then. What's closer: the Commissar, or the leviathan whale skeleton?
>>186878>>186882"Black Heel, the commissar, might be able to help us if we can find him. Have you or your friend here found anything of use left on this plane? Something that could help us navigate this fog, or destroy the entity on the Kostroma?"
>>186884The commissar still, although the whale skeleton is likely closer than the airship
>>186885"Well, there is the torpedo and explosives... We were looking at the radio, for long range communication."
>>186886"There is a torpedo? We have a radio with us."
>>186883"Oh, nevermind, its a mile away. Nothing to pay any mind to."
"We should leave soon."
>>186877Innuendo
[1d20+16 = (5+16) = 21]"You should not be so polite. We are supposed to be pirates.">>186882"It is possible." Posey replies
>>186887"Yes, this plane had several. The radio is long range and can be heard further away than short wave."
>>186889>pirates"I'm more than willing to start shooting at this point, if it will help."
Hmmmmmm...okay. The plan currently in motion:
1.) Find the Commissar, rescue him if necessary, and recruit him to the group band of creatures.
2.) Have Posey reanimate the leviathan whale skeleton, for aid against the Traveler and/or disabling the ship the GRU came here on.
3.) Find and rescue the Airponies, and assess if the airship is in a repairable state or if its engines need to be scuttled.
4.) Go to the Kostroma, kill the Traveler, use magic to send a message out across the island to the formerly-possessed ponies to return to the ship ASAP, and escape the island with as many of the defecting commies as possible.
>>186886>>186890Silver: "You have been on this plane longer than us. Do you think they can be brought with us?"
>>186892Why do we need to find the commissar?
Also, these steps need not be in order. The air ponies should come first though.
>>186891Rooty tooty point and shooty
>>186892"Not easily. The radio is in the plane and the torpedoes are heavy. The one here is stuck in the plane"
>>186889Is innuendo even a 3.5e skill? I thought it was 3rd edition only?
>>186890mild concern"It's a little risky to be on a crashed plane with enough undetonated explosives to sink a ship. To sink a ship…if we can transport one of these torpedoes, we could easily sink the Kostroma. Guaranteeing the Fellow Traveler's destruction would need us to get closer."
>>186893Every addition pair of hooves will help, and we'll need all the help we can get. The Commissar is also the most knowledgeable pony on the island both about the Kostroma and the communist forces. As for the order, the Airponies are by far the most distant of the three targets prior to the Kostroma. They should be last if we want to avoid wasting valuable daylight backtracking across the island.
>>186895Silver: "I would prefer not blowing up the Kostroma if it can be helped. It will make escaping island with everyone far more difficult."
>>186894Kira: "How heavy are they exactly? I'm a pretty strong creature, I've found..."
Silver: "Does Kostroma have long-range radio?"
>>186895"It is not the sort of creature that would die in a fire or freezing water. Destroying the ship would certainly make it easier to deal with its thralls though." Posey says, nonchalantly
"It is still risky though. There are better ways. If I could get into mid range without losing concentration and summon a flock of bats, I may be able to make most of the crew due of bleed damage, assuming they lack any evokers."
>>186898No. The airponies should be first. They are the entire purpose of this mission. Everything else is an afterthought.
>>186898"We can discuss this in transit. Which way?"
>>186898To the Nope Noodle:
"About a tonne, I think."
To Silver:
"Yes, if you can get past everything guarding it."
>>186897"Does he have ponies with him to help move something like this on hoof? If those foreign airponies are in good health, we might need to enlist their services. We might want a makeshift sled.">>186898>>186899"Are you sure heavy explosives wouldn't destroy it? I believe we should incapacitate, rather than kill, these 'thralls' as you say if this option is available to us."
>>186899The GRU and the Traveler are distracted right now, but I don't know if we'll have the time to do all of that backtracking. It's also far more likely that the Airponies will stay where they are at while the Commissar is more likely to move if we don't get to him quickly.
Silver: "Uh...let us try to avoid causing all of Kostroma crew to die of blood loss."
>>186901Kira's ears fold backwards. "Oh...that's heavy..."
Silver: "That is good to know. I do not think it will be factor before Traveler is dealt with, but good to know for later."
>>186903"Well... it's the six of us here, but there are more elsewhere. We were going to meet up with rescue forces from the mainland but... the fluffy one is skeptical of that."
>>186904Silver: "Do you know where other survivors are?"
>>186902"It crash landed from beyond the upper atmosphere, and has therefore demonstrated extreme resistance to heat and physical trauma. Mortal weaponry will likely be useless against such a creature. I hypothesize that it is likely immune to nonsupernatural attacks. I know of many similar creatures."
>>186903>The GRU and the Traveler are distracted right nowYou don't know how long that will last.
>It's also far more likely that the Airponies will stay where they are You don't know that either. What if they are being attacked right now?
>Silver: "Uh...let us try to avoid causing all of Kostroma crew to die of blood loss."Posey blinks quizzically
"Why?"
>>186906"You think it's vulnerable to magic?"
She smiles, as if she heard Posey say she believed in the tooth fairy, or some other such nonsense that adults should not believe in.
>>186905"Some were in the village by the bay... I am not sure."
>>186906>>186907"Our zebra friend is a practiced shaman and his skills might be of help. Even so, we are not well prepared."
>>186906Silver: "Because they are not our enemy; they are possessed, they have no choice in matter. They also will not come back to life if Traveler is killed, but those who are alive will be freed from its influence."
>>186907Silver: "Which village is this? There are several spread across island."
>>186910"By the bay. The uh... south bay."
>>186907>"You think it's vulnerable to magic?""Most likely." She says
She produces a flower from her spell components pouch, which begins to wither and rot in the glow of her magic until it crumbles away
"From the intel I have gathered, it is immobile. So long as it is a living thing, I should be able to rot it from the inside out, so long as I can touch it. That is my plan, anyway."
>she believed in the tooth fairy, or some other such nonsense that adults should not believe in.Literal unicorns exist in this world though.
>>186909"We cannot assume that the powers at our disposal are enough to fell it, but this is the most reliable plan I can think of."
>>186910"If minimizing casualties at the expense of risking personal harm were part of the job description, I would have charged extra. Nonlethal tactics are no my specialty. I will take your suggestions into consideration though."
>>186911Is the Whaling Village in the south bay, or is the south bay somewhere else on the island?
>>186912>If minimizing casualties at the expense of risking personal harm were part of the job description, I would have charged extra. Nonlethal tactics are no my specialty. I will take your suggestions into consideration thoughBrie forgets himself and nods involuntarily in agreeement
"I should remind you that we have a priority mission here. We can deal with these matters after we get to the downed airship."
>>186912"Black Weave. Useful on living things. But this does not live. It looks like an animal, if an animal could survive space, but..." She stops speaking
>Literal unicorns exist in this world though.Which has fuck all to do with the question of whether the entity has more or less resistance to magic
>>186913The whaling village is in the west
>>186916Hmmmmmm...potentially more hooves that could help us with this fight against the Traveler. So, in comparison to the Commissar, the leviathan whale skeleton, and the Airponies, how distant would this village in the south bay be?
>>186916"Spit it," Brie says curtly.
Intimidation [1d20+5 = (12+5) = 17]
She trailed off, Brie would hear what she stopped hersrlf from saying
>>186918Is Brie approaching the gunshots or not? He can't be in two places at once.
>>186920No, hes listening intently
>>186918She winces, and looks away
"it isn't. It's some kind of shape changing magical or energy thing."
>>186917Not terribly far from the medieval village. In between the Medieval village and the Kostroma
>>186916>But this does not live."Are you saying it is undead? I have other ways of dealing with that." She says
>if an animal could survive space"You would be surprised. There are countless living creatures dwelling beyond the void who are able to survive in the absence of atmosphere, only a few of which have been properly documented. That is a topic for another day though." She says, looking wistfully at the night sky
She pauses
"Really, the one class of creatures I do not have a reliable spell for is golems... Constructs are so difficult to destroy, and are not nearly as easy to control as the undead. I have not seen very many golems lately though."
>>186923Hmm...sounds like it's the closest target to the Kostroma. We should go there last before going to the Kostroma.
Silver smiles apologetically at the mare. "Does it have mouth, or other orifice? We could detonate grenade from inside of it."
>>186924Kira perks up a bit at the topic of discussion. "Oh, what about using a spell to dispel magic in order to kill a golem! Aren't they animated using magic? If you dispelled the magic keeping them together, wouldn't they just fall apart?"
>>186923"An Energon, perhaps? I have heard of aberrations being seeded from corrupted positive energy. If so, that might make it even more vulnerable to my blackweave...."
"But rather nasty to deal with myself..." she thinks to herself, silently >>186925>dispelYeah, I would really like to do that, but Posey is only lvl 4, and I don't get nice things at this level.
>>186925Brie tries to hide his embarrassment that Silver is trying to glean battle strategies from a civillian
>>186922Glad that is cleared up.
>>186923>>186924"Nopony really knows what it is. I would rule it out being a machine. We are no closer to finding out what weakness it has, unfortunately.">>186925"Those could be our first and second options. I would prefer more explosives than a single grenade, and getting close is alone a hazard according to the documents." He retrieves the documents he collected from the dead doctor and gives them to Miss Pipette.
"Any useful information you can glean from these?"
>>186925Posey does not respond to the dispelling quest, not willing to discuss that she still can't cast lvl 4 spells (like Animate Dead).
>>186929"We have some grenades at our disposal. We could bundle them together to combine their explosive power. Unfortunately our ability to gather resources is limited, otherwise we could make some homemade explosive devices like nail bombs. Hmmm..."
>>186923Looking at the torpedo in the plane, Silver wonders to himself: how difficult would it be to dismantle the heavy torpedo in order to acquire its warhead?
>>186930Kira merely tilts her head at the necromantic mare, and flicks her tongue.
>>186931"What are you thinking Silver? Are you thinking of using the torpedoes? Let me do you a solid and do a check to see if I, the party explosives expert, could manage."
Disable device check [1d20+12 = (12+12) = 24]
>>186927>>186924She just shakes her head
>>186925"It does. Yes."
>>186929"We know that it falling out the sky hurt it. As did it overexerting itself."
>>186931Easier than taking the entire thing, to be certain.
>>186932Is he trying to disarm it?
>>186933No, hes using that skill to see if he has the capability to even repurpose it as an explosive or whatever else.
>>186933What does this mare know of magic and monsters?
Anyway, I think this calls for some Arcana checks, to determine that it's NOT a construct
[1d20+11 = (10+11) = 21]And religion, to check if it's undead
[1d20+11 = (8+11) = 19]
>>186932>>186933>>186934Hopefully no. Silver explains his thoughts to Brie. "Could you remove torpedo warhead, and then using radio within this plane make remote detonator to attach to it? We could force it inside Traveler, detonate it remotely, and it would kill Traveler while his body would absorb force of explosion, preventing Kostroma from being destroyed as well."
>>186936"if I can have 20 minutes, yes. If we're pressed for time, maybe."
>>186934With adequate time and tools, the warhead could be removed, yes.
>>186935And what does
this mare know of a thing she's never before seen or touched, but the bolshevik mare has?
It is not a construct
It is not undead
As best as Posey can tell, anyways
>>186938Thus, can we stop asking stupid questions from the obviously ill informed mare?
>>186937>>186938Silver: "It may be worth spending time to make it. Should we stick together until it is finished, or should we move on to gather more allies while you stay and work, and then meet up at agreed-upon location later?"
>>186940"If you can make a case why the two explosive charges we already have aren't going to cut it, I'll be happy to take this fucking thing apart." E,_,e
>>186939Posey or Pipette?
>>186933"If it can be hurt, it can be killed. We just need more energy.">>186932"Careful," Cavaliere warns quietly.
"If there's a misstep none of us would be around long enough to know it.">>186940"It might be wise to move most of our group away from here for the time being, if we're disassembling the torpedo."How heavy are the explosive charges we already have?
>>186942I meant Pipette, she aint gonna know creature types and whther we can blow it up from the inside
>>186938Well, if it's not undead, and it's not a construct, all the other available creature types (outsider, aberration, magical beast, dragon, elemental, etc; with the exception of Deathless which is basically just "good undead") should count as living things for the sake of spells (except for anti life shell, which is weird) and effects. I'm just checking for the sake of tactics and planning how to destroy it.
Posey pauses to consider her plan
"If it is either undead or a construct, I should know when I see it. Until then, I remain confident in my entropy-based attacks."
>>186944She is the only creature alive and present who has seen and studied it firsthand.
>>186945"That might injure or incapacitate it. We can't be sure whether it will kill it. Having as many contingencies as we can afford is our best option."
>>186944Bold of you to assume.
No, it's because of how Posey is asking the questions. Posey asks questions, but then asserts knowing more than the one she's asking. It's like you know something is X, and then person asks "Is it Y?" and you say "No," then they say "You're wrong. It's Y, and not X." Like what are you supposed to do with that? You just say "k" and let them think what they think
>>186943"Quite a bit more energy. I... we fear it's been around for significantly longer than just roaming around the Lunar Sphere. We are not the first to try to kill it, if you will. If that is so, that means it is harder to kill than may be appreciated. But that does mean it may placed in a state of tupor where it is more or less harmless."
>>186943Only a few pounds.
>>186943>carefulBrie makes a mental note to hire someone expendable who he can shoot for having the foolishness to think that they are performing a service by 'reminding' him to be careful around the deadly explosives.
Brie glances at Garv and smiles briefly
>>186947Silver: "It perhaps also just means that those who tried before us were not creative enough. I do not know what realm it came from was like, but in this realm, everything can and eventually must die. While here, it has to abide by laws of
this universe. And no matter how thick its hide is, I have yet to meet creature whose insides are as hard as their outsides."
>>186949"That is our latest hypothesis. That is being subject to limitations and constraints that it is unfamiliar with."
>>186947"I'm afraid tupor is not enough. This thing has killed, and it will kill again if given a chance in the future. Also I don't trust any political entity to keep it isolated and inert. We have enough explosives already to knock out a tank. We could use more to be sure, but I believe that will destroy the Kostroma.">>186948Sense motive:

>>186951Brie is really trying to be nice, and is not saying some adversarial things
>>186951"Even a ship may be harder to kill than you think. And I think that thing may be killing right now."
>>186950Silver: "I could believe it. Hearing it speak through possessed ponies, it clearly lacks knowledge on basic laws of this universe. It has much knowledge about this world, but what knowledge it lacks is weakness we could exploit."
>>186946"Even eternal archons are still subject to the rot of the blackweave. I see your point though. I just cannot fathom a more reliable way to kill a creature that survived impact from the upper atmosphere."
>>186947"I cannot confidently say that it will stay dead after it is killed, I know from experience that some things refuse to stay buried, but so long as I rot its entire body into oblivion it should stay quiet for long enough to become someone else's problem."
>>186950"Entropy and decay are ironclad laws of this realm. Beachgoers from beyond the void are not always aware of the limitations of mortality and the forward arrow of time when they cross over to our world, and thus the majority of them perish, with their alien physiology not suitable this cruel existence. It is the only reason why they have not completely taken over this plane already."
>>186954"Indeed. It seemed uncertain what death even is. Intend to professionally give it a first hoof experience, as a welcome to this plane." she says
She puffs out her chest
"Death is my arcane thesis afterall."
>>186953"Good point. Time to go." Posey says, turning to leave
>>186954"Lead the way to the airship, Kira."
>>186958"Let's meet the commissar before we leave. Leading him to the crashed airship is a dubious idea and we should keep him close around here."
>>186958We're going to the Commissar and the leviathan whale skeleton on the way, though. Since they're on the way, we'll lose no time going to them.
Also, we need to hear from Brie where he'd like to meet up with the party again after he's finished with the torpedo warhead.
>>186959"I strongly disagree. The airponies are our priority. They could be under attack as we speak, or enthralled by the Traveller. The fight with the Traveller is an act of charity; we should not delay our actual mission for it."
>>186960Uhm, Silver needs to explain why they need the warhead first
>>186962He already explained his idea: the party is going to pair it with a remote detonator and detonate it from inside the Traveler.
>>186941Silver: "It is far better safe than sorry to have it. Besides, I thought you liked explosives."
>>186961Silver: "It will still take us time to travel to airponies regardless. Best we tackle these objectives in most efficient way possible to cover as much ground in as little time as we can."
Oh ffs.
>>186960Youre not allowed to do the talking anymore, you suck ass at posting quickly
>>186961I should not be agreeing eith you as much as I do
>>186959Can we please? With the going?
>>186965Dude, it's 11 P.M., I'm not going to be right on the money with every post at this time.
>>186964"I much more prefer to not spend whatever amount of time relegating myself from everything else going on. You're asking me to step out of gameplay, I'm saying give me a good reason," Brie replies, not even bothering to thinly veil the 4th wall break
>>186965Yes, let's go but leave Pipette, the captives, and the griffons here.
>>186967Silver: "Gameplay? Anyways, look, it would be of tremendous help to us, especially if we end up having to use explosive charges we have before we face off against Traveler. If we need it, then good, if it turns out we do not, then you get to keep warhead for yourself."
>>186969"That seems a bridge we can cross after we tend to the marines and the airship," Brie is near growling
>>186970Silver: "By that point we will already be close to going to Kostroma."
>>186968That means we would have to come back to collect them.
>>186971We would have to come back for Brie and the explosive regardless. The airship is the one confidential aspect of our mission and letting a Stalliongrad scientist near it is inadvisable.
>>186971How do you want to do this? Do you want me to explain why "no" in character or out? Cuz right now, Silver is nominating himself for idiot of the year, in Brie's mind.
>Uatchit
The cow mutters, her pin spinging to life again. She nonchalantly remounts, and speeds off
>>186971Let me put this into perspective.
I get that you/Silver thinks that repurposing the torpedo is a good idea. Brie DOESNT.
Brie holds out his hooves in a shrug gesture, as though to indicate that there is no vompelling argument for him to fuck off from everything to playbwith this torpedo, under the assumption that if a compelling case WERR made he could ALWAYS go back, and assume that we're ready to go toward the maines
>>186977What's your plan?
>>186978"My plan is to wait until we have a better idea what we're up against, as well as having addressed our primary mission objectives. You knob."
>>186979Okay then, you're now the plan maker and party leader.
>>186977I agree with this plan, but that means we have to take everypony with us.
>>186980Brie shrugs, but wastes not a moment.
"Garv, flank out, shoot anything that moves. Silver, you're on Ms Kubana, she has marines to locate. Rosie? Uh... I trust you to do the magic thing. Dust... keep an eye on her, but conserve your energy; we're likely to gather more injured before this is over," he takes a moment to reload the 3 shots from earlier.
"Any questions?"
Brie snaps his hoof to indicate this isnt an idle question
>>186982Fine, let's do it. Survival roll to watch out for enemies and to track the marines.
[1d20+11 = (12+11) = 23]
"Ill be the eyes in the sky. If I call out, its cuz surprise or stealth is no longer the priority."
If theres no further questions, Brie will resume his arial vantage, spot checking as he do
>>186968Fug, I missed this
"It's risky either way. If we keep them with us, it's a liability. If we leave then somewhere, its also a liability. Can Pipette be trusted to keep an eye on zombie ponies on a leash?"
>>186987"One of us would have to stay behind to ensure they are kept safe. If you would like, I can do that."
>>186988"Pardon me, but I dont agree with leaving ANYpony behind, given the circumstances. If Pipette can monitor the thralls, we can likrly proceed with caution.
>>186989"That would be an unnecessary risk for her, whether the threat comes from the Fellow Traveler or the GRU," he insists.
Also Pipette is right there.
>>186990"Miss, I'm going to be perfectly honest with you. None of our survival is assured at this point, and as you are specifically qualified to testify, we are dealing with something that defies comprehension. We have these," Brie gestures "Collected thralls of this Traveler, unable to be left to their own devices, but also unable to be left unattended to. We will keep you safe to ourbdying breath (bluff check), can you hold the line for us?" Brie asks, holding up the end of the daisy chain rope.
>>186991[1d20+5 = (16+5) = 21]
>>186990Brie will attempt a little eye-play with Garv. What he will attempt to communicate through facial gesture and body language is that in that the Traveler likes dominating a geoup, it might behoove to have a group on hand to maybe distract it with.
Finally, Brie will take a long, deep breathe before turning to Silver.
"I really don't line the idea of spending any time on this thing, but you may be correct, and it may be the thing that gives us an edge. Fuck me," Brie paces nervously. You've never seen him do that. "Fine. I dont like it, but I'd rather have a hugeton explosive and not need it, than need a hugeton explosive and not have it," Brie says, returning command to Silver
>>186994"Go, I'll follow the gunshots," and Brie begins to take a 20 on the torpedo
yes, Im sidelining Brie u fucks >_<
This better be good
theres an l16 cow otw if I need retribution
"Fucksake move, Soldier!" Brie barks, not moving his eyes from the prize
>>186991>>186993Cavaliere narrows his eyes with a side glance.
He turns back to the mare.
"Miss, you might be partly responsible for this situation, but that's not our concern at the moment. Even if it threatens our chances of getting off this island alive, we will do our best to keep you and the prisoners safe, because that is our duty."The griffon gives the mare his derringer and ten rounds of ammunition. He discreetly points to her, points to his eyes, and points at Brie.
>>186999
"Ive got a .38 I wont be using for a moment. No serials either!"
Staring at the torpedo, Brie has a moment of reflection. He thinks about where he ginds himself, the situation he's in what with the Traveler and all this madness. He thinks about these ponies and griffon he is cavorting with. So much of this seems off to him. But he banishes such thoughts from his mind, pulls off his mask so he can breathe better, closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath.
"Centipede," he mutters, before he starts going to town. His last interactive moment will be for him to not even bother to address anypony, but simply to call out: "I trust I dont need to emphasize how important it is that I'm not disturbed?"
>>187012It wasnt what I planned either, but it sounds good, an it will be likely faster. ^_~
>>187013If this derails a plan, it can be undone, but ngl, the party could prolly do with a stint without (ahem) my shit
>>187012I fell asleep around midnight. Sorry.
>>187008"A .38 would be better for self-defense. Thank you, Brie." He then leaves the batpony alone. If Brie gives the .38 to Pipette then he will keep the derringer and its ammunition.
>>187019It is suppressed, with a filter attached,... probably only 6 rounds of supression left in it.
"Oh, here," he says absentmindedly shifting to allow access to certain pockets.
He tosses out 2 6-round reloaders

We're all good now, though. Everything's settled.
"Go on then, ye bastard," Brie quips, slightly revealing 'his' accent, but wiping a frenly tear he'll never admit to
>>187023Silver smiles at Brie, and gives him a nod. "Thank you, my friend. We will see you soon."
Now just gotta wait for GM pone to get on. Also maybe at least one other player.
I'm confused. What is the issue at hand?
>>187025It was late, something was said that just caused me to give up. Things have been sorted, apologies have been made, we're all good now.
Especially now that it's the morning and I'm feeling a lot better, I see the point that you're making about going to the Airponies first, and it's a good point. I hope though you can see the point that I made about time being a factor as well.
>>187026"Yes, yes, quit being a fag about it and shoo," Brie says, "Youre distracting me, and these are high explosives. Get k. Then,"
Xp <3
>>186939Okay, first of all, why are you a fun-vampire? Why do you shit on other people having fun? The party has come upon a new area that has things to explore, and it has an NPC that they can interact with. At least one player actually does want to explore and interact with that NPC, and to furthermore, consider options for next moves coming from that NPC. Okay, you don't want to interact with the NPC and you don't give a shit about the bomber. Great. Good for you. You only care for combat or whatever, we get it. Can you sit quietly while other people actually try to play the game rather than say shit like this post. Jesus Christ. And this bitching is
always out of character. Just play your character or don't, and stop bitching that Silver is actually trying to, you know, play.
Second, Jesus Fucking Christ,
you know I make new threads on the odd millenial posts. You know this. You have been told "stop making large numbers of sequential one line posts, all it does is walk up the numbers." And yet we have this
>>186991>>186992>>186993>>186994>>186995>>186996>>186997Seven posts in a row, all immediately before 187000 which are basically
guaranteeing I'm not getting the 187000. Why can't you just accept that everyone else is asleep? Why can't you wait a minute before posting so that instead of making three posts because you think of something new, you only make the one post?
Oh, will you look at this. >>187000 was actually your post, which was just a wasted "noted" which you actually deleted, as was 187001 and like six posts after the millennial post. What the fuck is your issue?
>>187029>fun vampireNot my intention. But a legit criticism.
The ponies in question have established backgrounds. Silver - for example - is ex military iirc. But no offense to his player, but he doesnt display the decisiveness one might intuit from ex military. There may be reasons for this, it hasnt been explored yet.
I'll grant that that post - among many - have crossed a line, thats party to why I wanna chill for a minute.
You are correct
>The postsThe first one makes perfect sense, the second was a skill check because he lied to her face, and the third was a follow up
4 is where I decided to let go and let you guys have fun, 5 was a follow up to that, and 6/7 was where I hoped aomeone was still online
I didnt know you wanted the digit, I'd have accommodated if I had
>>187030My issue is, I'm impulsive with a poor recognition of boundaries. I very often make posts I 'think' are a good idea, only to realize "No, that was actually a really douche thing to post", moments/hours later.
>>187037
Sorry, I think in hieroglyphics
I think we can resolve the rest in OOC, and the party can fuck off and maybe save some marines :3
>>186594>Perhaps you'd like the report?"Thanks for the offer but nah, I'm as dumb as bricks. I probably wouldn't be able to make much sense of it," Virgin said. "Just give me you're expert opinion on who you think is most likely to have done it and I'll ask them for it back."
>>187036Thank you, but let's focus on GM
>>187029I was careless and inconsiderate. No parsing of words. This is largely why I'm offering to extract myself for a duration.
So, are we going to get the airponies?
Posey packs up her loot and readies to go.
Let me backtrack so I can tell what is going on.
Posey hears fragments of the conversation Silver has with Pipette, before deciding to heed Silver's insistence to find this new pony.
Posey approaches Pipette.
"The Commissar, Black Heel was it? Are you certain that he is of sound mind? Has he not been taken by the Traveller already?" she inquires
"And you say that he may help us defeat it?"
She pauses
"Special Forces have arrived on this island, and seem to have labelled sailors of the Kostroma deserters. Perhaps Black Heel can speak to them, if he has not already been enthralled. The Special Forces complicate my our efforts to escape this island safely, whether or not The Traveller is defeated, so it is a matter that I hope we could help each other with."
Cavaliere does a quick search of the aircraft, as he hasn't looked through it like the others have.
