In the far-off, northern island of Mended Horn, the party there has learned that they face an enemy they have dubbed "The Traveller." They have decided to go to an old, abandoned village there in hopes of rescuing some communist sailors.
In Baltimare, Dark Star tries to get things in order, while Virgin Flame looks for her old friend.

I'm really not set to any particular outcome; we could do either or split and do both. Brie in CHARACTER thinks we should kill the traveler now, but now it comes down to what everyone wants to do including GM, who I could imagine BOTH wanting and not wanting to split the party in this way.
Let's just go to the ship. If we travel again, we'll practically be guaranteeing more encounters with the summons, and we don't benefit from fighting summons at all. The marines can wait an extra hour for us to storm the ship.
Anyways, Kira knows how important stopping the Traveler is, that's why she wants to go off on her own to find the missing marines and complete the objective. She's not the best suited for combat, but she's perfectly suited both for tracking down the marines and avoiding encounters using survival and stealth.

The urgency has increased, yes, but that may be as much a thematic thing of 'mounting tension' and uncertainty of the 'best' course of action, weighed versus obligation and morality of completing the mission and THEN handling business.

It's nice of him but there has been plenty of indication that all aspects of this quest have urgency. If we collectively ignore that then we deserve to reap the consequences. Take the encounter outside of the village. We delayed ourselves so the monsters were on top of us by the time we noticed.

Appreciated. When gaming in person or even over voice chat, you can use your body language or voice to pffer subtle cues and indications, which arent possible online in the standard form. This is why a little railroading is okay in this context. More than anything, I dont want any effort to go to waste if possible, especially over mixed signals (ffs, that fucking goat).

Do you think the communist reinforcements that are landing on the island are going to sit around and wait for that hour? More to the point, once the Traveller is defeated, do you think they will have anything left to do except kill the party and kill the airmen?

What do you want? At first, you were listing numbers of admittedly pretty decent random encounters to fight just because you wanted to fight. Then your character deliberately provoked the Traveller into hostility when he wasn't initially hostile, and then furthermore you've provoked multiple new summons within combat. Then you asked if your character could be in more danger. And now you complain that there are too many encounters and they are too pointless. What do you want? You complain the combat is too easy. You complain the combat is too hard. You complain it is too easy immediately after saying it is too hard immediately after saying it is too easy. You want combat that has no relevance to the story but as soon as there are less than a handful of fights that serve the story it's too much combat and the story needs to be shorter. Likewise on the loot, you say that the magic items belonging to the party are suited for level 12, and then every character that has been around for a year has so many magic weapons they are literally giving them away. Then you say that too many enemies are not dropping loot. Then you don't care much when enemies that have pockets and wallets to raid have money and various items on them. What do you want? Would you rather we eliminated that damned cursed crown, we eliminated the agreed upon pay out, we eliminated any possibility of magic items in safes on the ship or artifacts in the research bay, or of rescued NPCs or their families paying out rewards, or of taking pictures of the Traveller and leveraging them for more money - basically if we took every single reward and completely replaced it with dice rolls from standardized tables for gold pieces and gems. Would you prefer it if we did that? What do you want? No seriously, what do you want? You're like a cat that wants to be let outside. Then come back inside. Then let back outside. I was thinking that Kira would use her survival skill to track down the marines specifically, rather than going to a specific landmark. We don't know that the marines are there or somewhere else, and while I do have a plan for how to keep the Defense Intelligence Agency busy, I don't think the planned distraction would work forever.

Of the thralls, Sea Stone is in the best condition. Then another three have partly non-lethal damage, and two are probably still unconscious. Then from the recent set, both have only non-lethal damage, but Kira tried to squeeze one of them. These are likely still in bad shape, though they should recover more quickly.
Then of course there are the two non-converted ponies, plus two more unconscious.

She goes past the desk, her left hoof eventually coming in contact with the lower shelf of the left most bookshelf. She pretends there is nothing wrong, and turns in place, turning around and then sitting down at her desk, never moving her eyes from Vir. But when she sits down, she scrunches, and her ears go down, as if the act of sitting down has suddenly made things worse. Maybe it has, as she is almost trapped in this room, the door still open.

She just said she intended to meet them back at the Kostroma to fight The Traveller.

That was not my intent. The whole point of this operation was to help fight The Traveller.

I'll roll for it if I have to, but we haven't been rolling all this time so I didn't think it was necessary.
