In the far-off, northern island of Mended Horn, the party there has learned that they face an enemy they have dubbed "The Traveller." They have decided to go to an old, abandoned village there in hopes of rescuing some communist sailors.

In Baltimare, Dark Star tries to get things in order, while Virgin Flame looks for her old friend.

Then Posey could run across the entire diameter of the island in 15 minutes.
There's a pillar-shaped mountain in the middle of it that indicates where the center of the island is, and the setting sun pretty easily indicates where the West is.

Is it really that hard to get back to the whale skeleton?

Aside from cheeky banter, Brie is all business. Lacey is as well, but she's far more flirtatious/seductive/glamorous. 100% decent at all times, the only ponies who knows she wears white cotton panties are the adversaries she has fought, performing sort of acrobatic kick/stunt. And one bat in particular knows that in spite of her otherwise diplomatic/negotiator proclivity, she gets very aroused when she's fighting, not unlike Ms. Oonnatop from Goldeneye

Brie thinks for a moment. If you arent asking permission/consent, what do you call it other than struggle-snuggling?
Its like the term 'molest' which literally and historically meant to "annoy", and it's only in the last 40 years that it was adopted to assume a connotation pf sexual transgression.
But Brie digressess, even in his interior monologues.
"Very well. If by your scent you can determine when we are nearing the marines, let out a whistle. I will attempt to shadow you until then. I prefer the overhead vantage, but our adversaries and the situation entirely has defied my expectations on several occasions, and I'm feeling far more inclined to err on the side of caution.

What Brie is suggesting is, when we're nearing a threat range, is a window-wiper pattern, where he sneaky sneaks back and forth anywhere 5rom 5-20 in front of Kira. Its not something I really care about, I'm just trying to draw engagement to the thread XD

In front of, and to the left of the party, is a large hill, the hill that was in front of them when they first came to the island, in the southwest of the island, though surely a small string of hilly islands and sea stacks continues further south, the great "mended horn." Over a thousand feet tall, presumably, and covered in still-green grass with frequent patches of bare rocks, it extends upwards into a low level-cloud that has come in from the south, so that while where the party is, as well as much of the base of the hill is more or less clear, the summit of the hill is densely foggy.

Looking over, there is a small, irregular rut exposing clay and rock, which though still leaving a mark in the hillside, has since grown partly over. It runs around the edge of a smashed and shattered low-stone wall, ending in a small stone hut at the base of the hill which has collapsed on the side facing away from the party.

Past this and up the hill is the smell. The smell of pony that Kira smells caried on the southern, salty wind.

Meanwhile, back in Trottingham.
A curious sight greets the assembled travelers gathered at the Trottingham airport. As the various ponies mill about wating for their respective transports, an inordinately large fly carrying a brilliantly red-maned cow flies up to the main building before landing near the door. The cow, her expression blank and her eyes covered by thick dark sunglasses, betrays nothing and displays a degree of nonchalance as she dismounts the fly.
<Uatchit
She says, causing the fly to reduce in a spectacle of sparkling magical effect to a small gold and jewel encrusted pin resembling a fuzzy little bumble-bee pinned to her worn and tattered duster coat. On her hip is a goddamn hand cannon, and she walks into the travel office.

Kira can see that the tail is attached to a butt. A periwinkle (light grey-blue) butt, with something like a... beaker? Cutie mark. And in front of that, is a mare in a coat that looks back, wearing corrective lenses, a foil cap with a tied but still messy blue mane flowing out from under it, and wearing rubber shoes with a white coat. She looks frightened. Her front hooves are on the ground, while her rear hooves are still on the aluminum floor of the aircraft. She turns around and tries to move. The prey friend is getting away!

Kira leans over, and whispers in Posey's ear. "Uh, Posey? I think she's from the Kostroma. Also, this is a crashed airplane, not an airship."

>>186770
Kira then nods at the mare. "Yeah, but we don't know where he is though. We found some of your friends holed up in an abandoned village being attacked by some Abomination. They should be just outside with the rest of our group. They have the same kind of funny foil hat that you have!"

It's not a matter of darkness. The mare is outside of the plane and Posey is inside and above her. Where the Mare is has light. Posey can't see very effectively behind the mare because of the angle of the plane's tilt meaning that the doorway and the ceiling are in the way of Posey's field of view.

"I, uh, no?" She looks back towards Posey with her red wine eyes. I do not know this 'Shoal Water'. Monster? The uh, the same monsters, or are there more?" She tilts her head. "Torch this aeroplane? Why? Uh. Okay..."

Posey moves to see where the mare is looking.
>Shoal Water
>Torch this aeroplane? Why? Uh. Okay
Can we pretend I didn't just say that? I thought this was the airship we were looking for...

Kira shakes her head sadly. "Just some soldiers who were with him. I don't know if they know what happened to him. One of the possessed ponies we managed to capture looked a bit like an officer, though. Maybe that's him? I don't know how many officer-like ponies were with you guys on the ship."

>>186773
Kira smelled the scent of pony, but it looks like the scent was from this mare.

Posey would basically have to cross the width of the fuselage (not very far at all) and exit the vehicle on the opposite side she entered. None of it is hard but it means leaving the vehicle.

How do you confuse a fixed wing, four engine aircraft with a giant blimp?

A combination of reading the past 200 posts at either 11:00PM, or 7:00 AM.

Posey realizes that this isn't one of the ponies that she's looking for, and decides to search/loot the cabin, starting with the area that the mare was staring at.
"What tore off these doors?" She asks
>You are not them, are you?
"We are... Oh, what is the politically correct term these days? Swashbuckling treasure hunters? I still prefer to say dread pirates."

Kira: "Oh, that's good! I didn't catch all that was said because it was in Severyanan, but from what Silver said after it sounds like his distress call was picked up by some group called the Defense Intelligence Agency, but then their acronym is 'GRU' apparently which doesn't make any sense since none of those letters are in 'Defense Intelligence Agency'. Anyways, apparently they're here to kill everyone on the island and take that thing you guys had on the Kostroma back to the mainland."
