In the far-off, northern island of Mended Horn, the party there has learned that they face an enemy they have dubbed "The Traveller." They have decided to go to an old, abandoned village there in hopes of rescuing some communist sailors.

In Baltimare, Dark Star tries to get things in order, while Virgin Flame looks for her old friend.

It was not declared

The proposed staryu pic and ettin oic would be said to occur while I was passed the fuck out and GM was opeating Brie who had the camera.

The idea is precipitated on the notion that GM would have known to have Brie take a choice oic or two in advance of the surprise round. This has not been properly adjudicated.

Я думаю, что это в лучшем случае древний демон, а в худшем — сам черный бог. Отойдите от этого подальше и позвольте военным разобраться с этим." - "Yes. It will make you lose your mind if you are near it too long. The hats help somewhat. Do not sleep near it. I think it is an ancient demon at best, or the black god itself at worst. Get away from it, and let the military handle it."

1 shot of the suicide doctor pone
1 shot of the crazy-stilts-ettin thing (cuz surprise)
1 shot of one of the starfish bitches
Would seem to be at 23/26

Or, 25/26 with the suicide picture. Either way, we have documents to very heavily reinforce the spoop that will be WELL documented (at the expense of immediate murder e,_,e) murder, so any pics not previously taken will hopefully be sufficiently validated (and maybe a bureaucrat ALSO gets stabbed)

Posey goes over to this to see that there is a single interior wall with a doorway, meaning that 80% of the area is a single, big room with a big opening for a door (the frame has since collapsed in on itself), the floor of this room is fairly rocky. The other room is maybe 20%, and has a stone floor. The outer walls are mostly preserved, and there is even a corner in the smaller room where a tiny portion of the roof remains.

What does he wish to view?

The points of interest are:

Northwest hill (to the left and behind, near the lighthouse)
Southwest hill (this was in front of the party when they came to the island)
North Bay (to the left)
South Bay (to the right)
Eastern Hill (in front)

RIP Kultainen

When Cavaliere sees the seventh photograph, he grips it such that it is bent slightly as the edges of his mouth bend in a fierce scowl. Nevertheless, he has the presence of mind to examine the other photographs to try to notice anything familiar.
Survival: [1d20+3 = (4+3) = 7]
Knowledge (Arcana): [1d20+7 = (11+7) = 18]

Later, when talking to Silver, he says, "It's a small miracle any ponies have survived from this ship at all, but they don't look like they will last much longer if we don't act immediately. This entity has murdered eighty ponies in cold blood, and as it cannot be brought to trial we must end it ourselves. It exudes a gas with unknown effects which means we should locate masks if the ship has them. I have these photographs and documents that have some helpful information."

Posey could probably tell if they're healing potions (if a drop burns her tongue, it's a healing potion), but otherwise she has no means to identify them.

"In spite of appearances I'm the sort to have written out a lengthy bit about pulling out a wire from my thieves kit, cleaned/spat out the anti-rusting oil, and with precise skills, dipped the wire in one of the potions. But then I realized that this is all spoopy shit, and who knows what an as-yet undescribed potion could do. Maybe it has to do with this Traveler in some capacity. No, for the time being I'm preferring not knowing their effects, if it means avoiding needless risk," he says, pocketing the vials.

>Identifying Potions
>In addition to the standard methods of identification, PCs can sample from each container they find to attempt to determine the nature of the liquid inside. An experienced character learns to identify potions by memory—for example, the last time she tasted a liquid that reminded her of almonds, it turned out to be a potion of cure moderate wounds.
If we've had these potions before, we should be able to recognize them.
3.5e Wealth By Level absurdly subtracts the value of all of the consumables the character is assumed to have used from their starting equipment (Pathfinder corrects this), so any lvl 5 hero is assumed to have ingested a wide variety of options.

Posey can tell if a potion is a cure potion, because cure potions burn her tongue.

The man my group is interrogating had a phone so I'm using it as a hotspot to post this. I don't think he minds he I use it to post here, well I hope not, can't really ask him now anyway. ^^

So it looks like I have internet for the coming days. Will answer your post: >>185705 tomorrow but I thought I leave some questions I had regarding bat ponies. I know I'll have to roll so my character might not know things but I'm just wondering, who's thoughts are these:
>the dreaded bat ponies whom Celestia, in her sole unwise act, extended her mercy and allowed to live.
How do bat ponies fit into this world. In a lot of fan lore bat ponies worship Luna and stuff, is this true here or is that different.

Again, I know I will need to roll religion to see what Vir knows(I'll do that later too since that part of my sheet is incomplete), I just want to know myself.

Anyway, thanks for the nice and colorful description, I like it.

While possibly suited to the OOC thread, I recommend asking chatgpt for a breakdown on bat pony culture in EaW. From my findings, the everfree Bats(Thestrals) speak 2 dialects of common and old thestrali. The government is called the Night Court, a semi-fascist body of Aristocratic families, Business groups, and Government bodies.
Also from my findings, theyre mixed in their devotion to Princess Luna versus Nightmare Moon. Theres a surprising amount of

Wait what.

In EAW, bat ponies are a race of pony indigenous to the Equestrian Southeast, which have spread across especially the eastern portion of Equestria, New Mareland, and then a set have moved across the ocean to northern Zebrica. They have historically been separate from the Equestrian pony tribes, which are migrants to the area from further north. They have their own seperate culture, they are generally nocturnal, and they have their own indigenous religion, although of course in the past, many have followed Nightmare Moon, and many now follow Luna.

Evidently they are not well integrated into Equestria. They have migrated en mass into Baltimare and the other big cities as they are often favored as laborers, especially in the night shift.

Bat Ponies tend to favor the Blackhooves faction as New Mareland has a conception of national identity that is more inclusive of bat ponies than the Hearthswarming myth of Equestria, which centers around the three races. New Mareland, likewise, has never had to deal with Bat pony seperatism, and thus does not have a negative perception of bat ponies. The leftist groups of Baltimare do not like the bat ponies so much, as bat ponies are migrants, mostly from further south, who compete with union laborers, and worst of all will work as "scabs" during strikes.

Don't take the remarks about "dreaded bat ponies" too seriously. In a now-retconned version of the lore, bat ponies were the victims of racism by the other pony races. Why are the other ponies racist against bat ponies? Because reasons. So Princess Luna had to be the upper class white girl savior of the bat pony race, because in one thousand years not a single bat pony had the talent or the will to free themselves... The developers themselves realized that this didn't quite make sense and had some unfortunate implications, so it was changed to the bat ponies segregating themselves, which makes much more sense.

The filly's back is bent upwards in the middle, the eyes are closed. The little portions of the mane that stick out from under the hood are disturbed and disheveled. The little disruptions in the snow, as well as the way the bundled tail has been disturbed, suggest that she was moved to that location from somewhere else. A narrow but sharp shadow cast by the upper body suggests a source of artificial light that is above the body, but slightly lower and off center. The photograph is in black and white and so colors can only be guessed at, but cavaliere can guess that the fur coat is likely brown, the filly's mane is a light, bright color, and the coat is a darker, medium color. Cavaliere may be skeptical of the doctor's claim that the filly was killed by violence, as there is no blood, no sign of tears or trauma, though the possibility that it exists under the thick fur coat cannot be ruled out. It would be easy to say that the frost that covers especially the edges of the jacket suggests a lack of body heat, but it's thick enough that even this is inconclusive. For all that can be known, the filly may simply be sedated. The upper left of the photo is marked "ΓД37"

Cavaliere doesn't know much about the avian-esque tracks. They certainly aren't that of a griffin, nor any kind of bird that he knows that could live that far north. It is somewhat suggestive of a flightless bird, or at the least, something very large, at least as big as a pony.

The scratches on the tree are too ambiguous to say much for sure. The first guess would be an icepick, or perhaps the horn of some creature pressed against a tree trunk, slipping and ripping the bark off of it in a horizontal pattern.

Cavaliere has heard stories of giant ponies, either as something that existed once in the past, or as something still seen by hunters and trappers in the Nova Griffonian wilderness. These stories must always be met with a grain of salt. But this... this isn't quite that. If anything, it's more like an attempt to reproduce a giant.
