Thus we begin the 53rd Nuts thread. There'd be more, except I've gotten lazy and won't bake until threads are ~1500 posts now.
Its an RP thread based on core D&D rules (3.5e particularly). Anyone can shitpost, comment, or play as they prefer, though making a character does require a small bit of detail.
The party is currently almost totally divided. Not on philosophical or moral grounds, they're just not in the same place at the same time. Infernius is kidnapping Trump for some reason, who was headed to check out the Sil wall, which is a concept he's only recently heard of, but will probably like.
Tracy is headed to Cardashil to stab things and (maybe) get her previous stash of knives back from.
Stix is exploring the primeval forest, intent on finding Trollestia (?), while Torcuil and Snek - when they're not attacking one another - are taking the airship to Krenshall.
Thez hasn't been seen since learning that Kefka is still (again?) alive, which she seemed most emphatically not pleased to discover.
Its mid-week, so it won't shouldn't, but probably will get hairy until later. So then, go nuts.

>>58128Trump returns to the hole to allow Fae (and Infernius not long after, as he can be seen approaching).
>>58131More and more as much as Tracy searches, she gets the feeling that though inside the city, she's still in a relatively "outside" area that doesn't get much (any?) traffic in spite of the deliberate paths. Every path is perfectly smooth and precisely level. Still, she is making progress toward the reverberating sounds of people(?).
>>58132That conversation was with gnomes that look just like these ones, but not these ones.
>>58133>this is your mindset >>58134Well, if the hole is big enough, he lets Fae through. Then he waves for Infernius to come, happy to see him
>>58134Tracy continues forward, contemplating robbing one of these buildings, but deciding she'd much rather retrieve her knives.
>>58114Sorry for my delay.
Stix looks around.
“Trollestia? Where did you go?”
He observers the acorn to see if she turned into it.
>>58138Not apparently, its an acorn about the size of a human fist.
>>58136kk
>>58137What does the road ahead look like?
Tracy begins running to progress faster, abandoning stealth.
>>58139Alright, he beckons Infernius to come through. Then he mounts Fae, and prances down the streets on her back at full gallop
>>58139"What is big bird,doggo?"
[1d20+16 = 20]>>58139He asks Fae to listen for the source of sound. Rolling her listen check
>>58144"There's a city through here.... something isn't quite right about it. There's robots prowling the streets. Very powerful, and no hiding from them. Follow me"
>>58142What he means is that while chasing the fly very noisily, he stumbled across a trio of Owl-Bears that sought to eat him, so he teleported. Don't ask me to iterate that in doge.
>>58143"I think we'll be able to get a better idea from the air. There doesn't seem to be anyone around," Fae replies.
>>58146Excellent Idea.
He flies on Fae to get a better vantage
>>58146Tracy continues running at full speed.
[1d20 = 2]>>58139Stix takes the acorn and give the place one final look.
“That’s strange.”
Roll to search to find out what she ran from.
I forgot because she never tried since then. Can Tracy still fly on her own? I just want to know that before I try it in an important moment.
Nevertheless, Tracy continues con the ground searching for any clue that could lead her to her treasures, well in her element in the urban landscape.
>>58134Oh, I thought you said it was the same gnomes
"Actually,youmayhavethedetailsalready,theshipusedtobecalledTheStrayCat."
>>58152They
look identical yes, but that's because I like the theme of having 4 shitposting gnomes on hand for dialogue
I've got 90 mins at best before I pass out. I've been dreadfully sick this past week...
Anyway, Tracy runs all the way into the city.
Does she find anything?
>>58165As Tracy plods along, attempting to get an understanding of how these streets work and how to get where she's going, very loud music starts up unmistakably from the,... we'll just call it north for the time being. There's music to the north.
[1d20+26 = 27]>>58166Spot Check from Fae towards Music
[1d20+4 = 7]>>58167Goddamn it. Spot check from Trumpaladin then
Oh shit, we're on the overboard again
>>58166Tracy impatiently speeds directly towards the music, in her warhorse form (still looking like Barney)
Also
>>58151 [1d20+16 = 23]
A fucking listen check then
>>58168>>58167>muh sidesI guess Torc explains the whole airship situation again
>>58169Y tho?
SORRY OVERBOARD >>58170No, fuck you. You can hitch a ride like all of the rest of us, and you can stop ditching us
>>58173>hitch a rideHorses don't ride things. That'd be gay.
>>58174I do wanna summon my FS soon though..
>>58178Could you answer that though? Because I've yet to fully comprehend the consequences of that bizarre """baptism""".
*runs towards sound at 500 ft/round*
>>58182She should have Feet of foot by now. I had her start training quite a while ago.
>>58183But regardless, Tracy advances towards the sound, hoping to get a glimpse of what all of the commotion is about.
>>58187Yeah, but I'm just about out of time
Well, that didn't go anywhere at all, but there was divegrass this weekend. Hope to do some more adventuring next weekend.
Goodnight, m8s.
>>58189Sorry, but what I'm gonna do is use the character's current position and method of exploration to determine how the encounters/developments progress, but I was gonna calculate that over the learly part of the week
>>58190Yeah, I hadn't expected it to be that involved, but when it was I couldn't look away, closing all kinds of windows n shit just so the 3k+ stream stopped frikkin lagging on me. I missed half of the quarter AND semi-finals cuz of bandwidth issues
>>58193Also could you just clear me up on
>>58151 >>58180 ?
>>58196I'm undecided tbh. If she
does retain her flying ability, she'll need to pull some Gurren Lagann, spiral power shit.
Otherwise, it does work when mounted (by Trump)
>>58198>she'll need to pull some Gurren Lagann, spiral power shitI get the image, but wat?

Thousands upon thousands of years ago, there was a pygmy tribe that dwelt in the lower reaches of Detroit. For Detroit was not called Detroit back then, but Chicago, and it was populated by large mice that were known to eat human flesh. Later they were all killed off due to the continental drift which caused Detroit/Chicago to sink far into the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which was called the Atlantic ocean back in those times. That is the story of how the once mighty City of Atlantis sank beneath the waves, taking with it the secrets to its really tasty barbecue sauce. But that is a story for another day.
In any event, the mice rebelled; coating themselves with strawberry Quik and rolling around in ants, they absorbed the ant venom and became all powerful ant-mice, with six legs apiece and a mighty stinger with which to thrust into the hearts of their enemies, and then abscond with ALL THE CHEESE. The Great Lord Elway did see these things, and did henceforth sell his two-story condo in Chicago, for he did realize that the real estate value was about to go down. Way down. So far down that the Mole People would be disturbed by this and rise from the ashes of once-mighty Detroit, to feast upon the souls of children on All Hallows Eve.
I forget where I was going with this exactly. Something something Denver Broncos I think. Oh yeah, soccer is forbidden, no exceptions, no immunities.
Alright, my body has exhausted its energy (I only made it this far because of the lulz), so I'm going to turn in.
>mfw shit-posting so hard that a disciple of Elway deletes a fresh bronco-pasta
>>58288Insomuch as there's a 3-hour, 80 post gap that you should be able to see a mile away (among other things), yes I suppose they are in order
>>58289Still phone posting m8, i can only see so much.
>>58290There was a shitposting session so epic that Elway himself did come down from upon Mile-high to dispense justice in the face of wanton heathenry
That session so crossed into other dimensions that it was caused to no longer exist, except in the minds of a handful of faggots who were caught in this time-paradoxical episode.
Elway did then appear and bring Football to counter the change in game, and did shout his mighty-large green-text that one letter took up the whole screen of my phone
>>58287He even deleted this gem.
It's so awesome, I feel like I don't deserve it.
>>58296I didn't even get to see that one
>saved >>58296He did? I still shows on my screen. Guess I have to refresh the page.
why does brad hate my shitty edits? >>58293She loves it, but she insisted
>>58301
It was glorious. I stayed up to shitpost in spite of thinking (erroneously) that I was working morning crew, just cuz I couldn't pry myself away
>>58301
Got it saved. Here are a few.
A few more modifications,... she wants me to run with this one
>>58303And I’m glad I did because my internet just crashed and restarted the page. Perfect timing.
Is there a way to make poisons more potent?
>>58307As in, increasing their save DCs or damage per round?
I know bigger monsters (with more constitution) have stronger poisons, but I was wondering if alchemy could decrease the lethal dose, or create new poisons themselves, was considering putting craft ranks into it.
Either way, I still want to breed giant ass monsters with increasingly deadly poison. Spider-Eaters make great mounts too. >>58309The "lethal dose" is kind of irrelevant, as even a tiny amount is considered "an application". As far as damage, the existing poisons are pretty sufficient, the best ones in particular
>>58310Tracy got hers from a hydra.
How do you acquire better ones? Do you just buy them?
>>58311If I'm feeling generous, yes
The save DC is fortitude based. Poison effects overlap for every successful applied attack (whether poison is injury or contact) except with natural poisons (usually pertaining to creature types/abilities).
Ability scores that drop to 0 indicate death, one application of some poisons do 3-4d6 in ability score damage. I'm not seeing the problem.
>>58312Okay. There was never a problem to begin with, just exploring the options.
It's also a good motivation for Tracy to help Stix hunt down some badass monsters for their poison glands and other useful body parts.
>>58313K, I just didn't want to mess with the mechanics. After looking into them, poisons are pretty solid, especially if using self-applying poison (magical) weapons. Its a relatively cheap modification/upgrade
>>58314Yeah, I wanted to make several of those once Tracy got the Poison spell.
>>58315That's actually why I crafted that heavy mace all those months ago. I wanted to make a Rod of The Viper. I still don't have the spell though, so it's just sitting in a vat of blood waiting to be finished.
Shit, too bad all those comments were deleted. I had more to say...
>>58317I still have the pictures if you need reference.
