Thus we begin the 53rd Nuts thread. There'd be more, except I've gotten lazy and won't bake until threads are ~1500 posts now.
Its an RP thread based on core D&D rules (3.5e particularly). Anyone can shitpost, comment, or play as they prefer, though making a character does require a small bit of detail.
The party is currently almost totally divided. Not on philosophical or moral grounds, they're just not in the same place at the same time. Infernius is kidnapping Trump for some reason, who was headed to check out the Sil wall, which is a concept he's only recently heard of, but will probably like.
Tracy is headed to Cardashil to stab things and (maybe) get her previous stash of knives back from.
Stix is exploring the primeval forest, intent on finding Trollestia (?), while Torcuil and Snek - when they're not attacking one another - are taking the airship to Krenshall.
Thez hasn't been seen since learning that Kefka is still (again?) alive, which she seemed most emphatically not pleased to discover.
Its mid-week, so it won't shouldn't, but probably will get hairy until later. So then, go nuts.
Tracy spits out dirt and curses.
"Well if I can't sing, what music do you like?"
>"I thought you'd never ask"Suddenly, Mr. Snek is wearing sunglasses and a hat that Torc finds somewhat familiar.
He also now has a speaker playing:

Tracy wanders back towards the grove to check out on howto set up her barbed wire.
>>56805This is for me throwing salt in Tracy's transit to Cardashil isn't it?
>>56805We can buy livestock, right?
>>56806Well, I assumed Cardashil was a no-go until this weekend.
>>56806>>56807More like Cardashit... I'll leave now>>56808Well that was
unexpected
>>56810"Why are you taking me? What is going on?"
>>56811*flies to the sil wall*
>>56812Trumpaladin thinks he understands now
>>56807Well maybe not as late as the weekend, but I have to revamp Cardashil if that's where Tracy is headed, since its been a minute since the last time "I thought Tracy/party was going to Cardashil".
Xp
>>56814Can Tracy go buy livestock for her ranch in the meantime?
>>56816Great.
After Tracy finishes buying her barbed wire, she returns to the port.
>>56817*Setting up her wire
Stix wanders back into the forest. This time, hoping to avoid suspicious looking trees that may be home to various killer creatures.
>>56819Avoid the ones with converging sequences of trails
There should be a cottage next to the ranch.. Outta build one.
Tracy carefully checks on her jar to see if the hoof-eating soccerball is still alive.
>>56820Aware that following small footprints got him into trouble last time, he curbs his natural curiosity and stays on a path to what he believes is where Trumpaladin said there was a grove.
>>56822Its stuck to the side of the jar, but otherwise fine
>>56823With that thought in mind, Stix notices that the various spiralling trails which surround the tree come from only 3 of the cardinal directions, and that beyond the tree, there appears to be an almost (almost) absence of any natural foot-traffic. In the distance he can see a sweeping plain, with a small body of water weaving its way through the grass.
>>56824Naturally, the plain would be a good place to check out.
But could he make it around the tree without possibly alerting anything?
will this need a roll?
>>56826"Uh.... Okay. We need Fae to..."
[1d20+21 = 25][hard-working mudpony noises]
"I'm glad I have this magick hand, or this barbed wire would be insufferable."
>>56824Sleight of Hand to slip a tiny sandwich into the jar before it notices.
>>56827*lands*
"Fae to do what?"
*goes over to a tree*
*goes*
>>56828I.. idk if that succeeded..
>>56830You rolled for that?
>>56831>9 WisYep...
>tfw you open the jar already knowing that there's a mimic inside
[1d20 = 8]>>56825Stix tries to sneak around the tree to get to the clearing.
[1d20 = 10]>>56828I'm at a loss. What is to be gained by putting in a sandwich unnotices vs. putting in a sandwich noticed?
>>56833
>>56834Mostly, to not get snapped at.
Before he can move 3 feet, Stix is suddenly surrounded by Gibbers, who tear at him from all sides until he's a dilapidated corpse.
I'm kidding, carry on past the tree.
>>56836 I wouldn’t have been surprised... hehe Stix makes it to the clearing and takes a look around.
>>56835Tracy is there, trying to feed her captive without getting glued again.
>>56837Not to the clearing yet, but well on the way.
>>56838This is good. I like this. It happens.
https://youtu.be/2vjPBrBU-TMBGM cuz. I'm still analyzing this song. There's a nugget in there I haven't dislodged,....
>>56840Tracy checks to see if the creature is still conscious
>>56841*if it has regained consciousness
>>56840Stix thought it was the clearing, but was only fantasizing he had made it. Strange, but I guess it wasn’t the first time he could swear his dream was real.
He continues to sneak...
I have no idea what I’m doing half the time, sorry
[1d20 = 15]>>56843Fuck! Why do I always click the subject box?
>>56843None of us do Xp
>lol
>>56842>>56841"You still alive there, little guy?" Tracy implores after placing the snack in the jar
[1d20 = 14]>>56840By the way, that is some satanic/demon possession type stuff in that video... that ain’t right.
>>56847>can’t operate shitREEEEEE
>>56846Upon inspection, Tracy can see that its rather stuck. It seems to have adhered to the bottom corner of the jar, and while it did a decent job of eating the sammich, its still kinda fixed. They really should learn to restrict their glue-secretions.
Torc and Snek's journey in a nutshell
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=basofea2UEs>>>/test/
>>56847I can see how it could be interpreted that way, but I see it differently. I see it as the divide between child-like sensibilities and modern expectation and socialization, resulting in (per the lyrics) an individual who is torn between two extremes.
>>56849They can't undo their own glue?
Tracy gives the creature another sandwich, since Elway knows how long it's been since it last ate.
>>56850I want to see the adventures of Torc and Snek as a tv series.
>>56851 Or torn apart in the sense of the mind breaking due to those mind control tactics Hollywood uses to train actors to get into character better which can form split personalities. Conspiracy stuff...

>>56880Cardishore isn't that far away, is it?
Also, where is everybody going?
Is it Cardishore or Cardashil?
>>56881Cardishore is as far from Sparintenar as it is from Port Barry, and directly along the path. The destination, I think? is Gatesil or Greensil. With Greensil being a more direct path from Krenshall. Probably the most logical thing to do would be to head to Krenshall and try to meet up with Torcuil and try to take the much faster airship, but just going there is another possibility.
Infernius wants to capm along the road for some reason... Trumpaladin would have kept going until reaching Cardishore (hopefully before midnight) set up a room there, then gone all day the next day (because the sils are very far away)
>>56884He could just call his horse if he wants to get there faster.

I want those daggers back...
I want to raise gorgons on my farm.
>>56908We should raise oni.
>>56853You may have a point. To a degree its an indictment of of the mentality of society and the mentality that is being forced on the younger generations, and the coping methods that are both resorted to and in many ways conditioned to utilize. In a way, it resonates with the concerns I have for the over-saturation of dopamine-producing experiences and devices. Social media addiction translates to other forms of addiction quite readily, and considering the degree of maturation that is stunted by reliance on such devices and things (and I say that, having devoted the first 20 years to emergent video game consoles) the general message of the song (and the coreography of the video) makes sense in that context.
>>56915>choreography I know they did direct it... but it still looks like someone said: run around like a madman and we will make bucket loads of money.
the part where she messed with her eye was no accident... tin hat intensifies
>>56914>OniThose are basically the same as ogre mages: Not exactly livestock.
>>56917Lets run a eugenics programme for true aryan ogres.
>>56917Then again, neither are gorgons.
They're cool as fuck though. Maybe they can be crossbred with cattle to breed a more docile species for commercial use.
>>56918Now that's an idea.
>>56919When you say cattle what do you mean?
>>56920U-ugh.. Um.. Domestic/Dire cattle?
>>56921We need some hecks to.
>>56922Gorgons are basically the Hecks of D&D.
I want giant goats too.
>>56923Id like some cocatrices.
>>56924Was just going to mention those.
The entire estate can be divided into sections based on element.
The gorgons and cockatrices can go in the rock farm.
>>56925We need a fire section.
>>56925Are there any monsters that use gas?
>>56926I want firebreathing, screaming, fiendish goats/sheep.
I'll use Infuego as a stud.
*dresses up goat in bightly-colored bedazzled purple pimp hat, leopard-spotted pimp jacket, and a whole bunch of gold chains and other swag*
>>56928You had me at firebreating goat.
>>56927Plenty.
They should have a farm aesthetic though.
Gorgons look like cows, cockatrices look like chickens, and so on.
>>56931See
>>56919A gorgon is basically a bull with stone skin.
>>56932I was thinking medusa tier gorgons.
>>56933Those are just called "Medusas": They're a race of monstrous humanoids.
>>56932I see now. I misread that as goron at first.
>>56937It's 78 degrees inside my apartment
[complaints about barbed wire being more difficult to handle than you'd think]
>>56916No doubt, and I'm not dismissing the inevitable (((influence))) in the video, though the assertion that its not coreographed is false, as there have been repeat performances. Addtly, the girls in question clearly has dance and gymnastics training.
Having said, and having poured over the music, lyrics, and imagery, it strikes me that song pertains to suicide.
>>56917Ehhhh, not quite, but agreed; not livestock
>>56919They're better than oni
>>56928>firebreathing goatThat's almost exactly what he is
>>56940Yeah, I know it was directed... just looks like it wasn’t. It’s just that weird interpretative dance/new age stuff.
and “suicide” is something Hollywood knows a great deal about... *upgrading from tin foil hat to full body suit*
>>56941Fun fact, the duration of the song is 3:33, and the album is called 1000 Forms of Fear

>>56943I can see that I am outclassed, a sporting victory
>>56944>huehue le cheese jokeIt's been a slow day today...
>>56945Yes... now I just have to obtain said armor of the mighty crusaders against the phoenix.
>>56947Looks like this one doesn’t, but they have smaller ones that do. These guys are nuts.
>>56948>GM makes note to determine the characteristics of tinfoil armor for future use
>>56949Aluminum was more expensive than any metal in medieval times. It was almost unheard of.
It's actually pretty recently that humans have had the capacity to refine it, and now it's so cheap it's often thrown away.
I imagine it's be really light, but not that hard at all, and it blocks mind-affecting/enchantment affects when it directly covers the head.
>>56950It might also help reflect laser attacks. Shiny stuff seems to work most of the time.
>>56950>rarityMeh. Off the cuff, I would rate it as having greater hardness than wood (but less than steel obv), and significantly lighter. Basically, I'm seeing it as being diet Mythril, except with mind-shielding
Tracy goes looking for lumber to build a small shack in the grove.
>>56953*chops down tree and drags it*
*builds cottage at the edge of the woods*
>>56954>>56955Uhm,... the process is a bit more complicated than that. You're welcome to build a cottage but you might want to talk to Slovenia, as a log cabin is rather resource consumptive (
A tree?) whereas a tree that is properly milled might suit the purpose (it will still take more than one tree). Also, chopping down a tree and THEN building a cabin is also resource (time) consumptive.
>>56956What I had in mind was really a makeshift box-thing to store wire-coils and materials; not a shelter of any kind.
I guess that could wait though.
>>56957A toolshed? That's fine
>>56958Yeah, a temporary one.
I was just bored tbh. Would have her train/craft, but she's away from the tower.
>>56959Actually, fug it, she was last training for Fleet of Foot.
Tracy runs around in circles in the meadow, trying to figure out how to turn on a dime.
[1d20 = 20]
*hunts some animals*
>>56961You have the most curious timing for 20s
>>56963Any 20 is a good 20 though.
>>56941Quick follow up, I was right. The song Chandelier was written in the aftermath of a period where she lost a partner to an accident and descended into a period of serious drug and alcoholism from which she almost took her life, having penned a suicide note.
>>56949Would that be light or almost non-existent?
>>56967Matters how thin it is.
Paper-thin armor is worse than leather.
>>56967Still working on it. Quarter-inch thick aluminum obviously kicks the crap out of leather as far as protection, and isn't terribly encumbering. Also, I should point out that sorcerers aren't subject to the same armor restrictions wizards are.
I want a glass chainshirt.
>>56969>Also, I should point out that sorcerers aren't subject to the same armor restrictions wizards are.WHAT
>>56971>Armor of any type interferes with a sorcerer’s gestures, which can cause his spells with somatic components to fail.Wrong
>>56971Strike that, simple
weapons only, but still no armor.

>>56988Well why didn’t you say so? You are a true friend of Israel and a good ally. You will go far in life this way.
>>56974What are you looking for exactly? I mean, is he literally hunting game or something, or is he looking for wildlife to put on the ranch?
>>56975And without too much fuss, Stix is able to maneuver his way around the tree and beyond. Wait, didn't he already make it past the tree? Didn't he make the field with the creek?

>>56990>>56840I thought you said I didn’t. Oh well.

>>56992Hmmmm. Curses, I'm going to have to look for it now.
In any case, yes. Stix has progressed beyond the forest into a large and open grassland, with a small creek running through it. In the distance, he can see the beginnings of a quaint and secluded grove. Oh, and apparently Tracy can be seen running in circles in the distance.
>>56994<ahem> Is he looking to hunt something, or is he looking for something to stick on the ranch?>>56999Twice
>>57001To stick on the ranch
>>56997I’m sure you can round it to 66 million and 6 hundred thousand. I’m sure many died fleeing to the oasis that was the USSR. Many a friendly face there, lots of family.

>>57014What now?
>>57010Technically, the grove is just beyond Stix' position. I only make that correction to indicate greater distance, not that traveling will be any bother.
>>57024A coconut? Sure! A bowling ball? Myeh,....
>>57025“Indeed. Just got to make some steps to getting used to it.”
Stix pauses for a while, pondering if it would be safe to ask her a question.
“I hope you don’t mind me asking, but do you remember how you got here?”
>>57027"I woke up in a room."
[1d20 = 18]>>57027>A bowling ball? Myeh,….You underestimate Torc's power...
Anyway, Torc tries to summon a coconut above Snek's head for his basic misunderstanding of common games.

From Stix' direction, this led to the edge of the clearing with the creek. This clearing is approx. the size of a football field. Beyond
that is the grove where Tracy was chasing her tail, which I notice now Stix "walked to" in

>>57052He and Tracy agreed to work together because metafaggotry.
>>57052Why the contention? Tracy and Infernius have both spoken of having a ranch. Perhaps not to one another (in meta), but that doesn't preclude him from seeking an animal.

>>57059The board or the game?
>>57063Care to unpack that a bit? The terse responses suggest that you don't, but I'm interested to hear your reasoning and analysis.
Stix sits down and contemplates why the grove is here, why he felt like he needed to come here, who is Trollestia, and why is the blue horse so good at being scary?
>>57066Nothing to be scared of from the horse
>>57066>why he felt like he needed to come hereWe all feel like if we just go to some far off grove, when we get there, what we've been looking for will be there. We all make that mistake.
>Who is TrollestiaI guess you'll never know
>Why is the blue horse so good at being scaryA product of your own mind, no more
>>57066Literally, because early in the game Tracy wanted to wander and explore. The gnarly tree came first, then the meadow, and then the grove, cuz I wanted Tracy to feel free and happy(?) for a moment

*Grows to full size and makes self comfy in the grass*
"Putting up fences and building sheds.
Oh, and I got bitten by a rock. It's sleeping now though."
>>57084"Sounds like you've been having more excitement than me. I haven't built any sheds or been bitten by any rocks.
Wanna take us to a hotel room in Sarintenar or Cardishore?"
>>57086"Do they even have hotels there? I'm comfy as is, but I'll take you anywhere if you need it."

>>57096*more cheerful sounds*
>>57096I would've asked her what she was thinking about after that, but Tracy flew.
But yeah, it's always unnerving when the enemy just comes back after clearly being kill, especially because that entails that killing him again may just result in the same outcome.

Alright. So Torcuil and Snek arrive at Krenshall,... there's really not much I can add to the antics they've shown so far. Do carry on.
Infernius on the other hand, carefully(?) approaches the dog he finds himself facing (hunting?). As he approaches, the dog wags its tail nervously, sniffing around, but doesn't run or attempt to flee. He gets closer and closer, with encouraging gestures and body language, and upon getting close enough he jumps to grab the dog.
Unfortunately, the dog disappears, and reappears a few feet away, wagging its tail much more vigorously.
Tracy and Trump get to the outskirts of Cardashil, the expansive and long lines ever-present. Those in the lines are as diverse, colorful, and over-the-top as you might expect from a group of talent seeking leeches. Did I say leeches? I meant bitches.
So license aside, Tracy has left the grove, yes?
>>57153Besides the Dome, what other structures are visible? Surely there must be more than the Thunder Dome?

Tracy can wear barding, right?
>>57214And I never got the confirmation: do ponies count as humanoids, monstrous humanoids, or magical beasts?
>>57215I think GM was leaning toward humanoid.
>>57216They don't really look humanoid though.
>>57217Right? I don’t know the official distinction between the types, but I would guess magical beast based on its name.
>>57218Magical beast makes more sense.
The typing also makes up for not having proper hands.
>>57219Just looked it up on the D&D wiki:
Magical beasts are similar to animals but can have Intelligence scores higher than 2. Magical beasts usually have supernatural or extraordinary abilities, but sometimes are merely bizarre in appearance or habits.
>>57220Magical beasts are also more dangerous in battle than animals by default: their base attack bonus is always equal to their total hit dice + class level (if any), while an animal's is only 3/4 that.
Another difference is that animals are always neutral: because they're neutral, they're also considered to be less dangerous, because they'll just run without any strong motivation to fight. I noticed that most creatures that have neutral alignment generally have lower CRs than you'd expect for their hit dice and abilities (although they usually have a higher level adjustment), which is probably why no animal is ranked above 10 CR, regardless of its hit dice.
Only magical beasts have Supernatural abilities, but most animals have extraordinary abilities or special attacks.
>>57221Infernius should polymorph himself into an actual Minotaur, at the expense of some intelligence.
>>57221Here is a question:
Could an earth pony use class spells? Is that a power all characters have or only if it makes sense to have magical abilities?
>>57222Also, checked. Infernius must obey now.
>>57223Class spells are practices learned through the class itself: they're not limited by race, unless otherwise specified in the class description. Humans are even less magical than earth ponies (who are just as magical as unicorns or pegasi imo), and they still cast spells easily.
>>57225Our characters need to team up sometime then, because one of my spells can entangle enemies in plants. This can cause the enemy, if they fail to escape, to be helpless, which can be sneak attacked by rouge characters.
>>57226Rangers are the best hunters and trappers, and rogues are the best at exploiting moments of weakness.
>>57227And Sorcerers are best at fucking with physics.
>Mach 4 tank shell
>>57228Nah, Wizards are when it comes to physics itself, under normal SRD rules. Sorcerers have less expensive spellcasting, and can more easily cast their favorite spells.
Sorcerors are pretty limited in their casting ability, and don't get any of the bonus feats or skills that wizards do, and being Char-based instead of Int-based, they normally don't have the same skill points (particularly knowledge-based ones) that a wizard could for epic-level spellcasting that spits in the eye of physics, and also for crafting machinery and constructs. Given the resources and time, a wizard can do pretty much anything.
The benefit to being a sorcerer is simple starting age, and the ability to cast known spells without preparation, and not having to buy and carry around a shitload of materials and focus objects (which all cost money). They also are better at multiclassing in classes like archmage or eldritch knight once they've decided the handful of spells they like the most and applied the feats to buff them, and even better if sorcerer is the favored class for their race. At the same time, they aren't royally fucked if someone sunders their spellbook, like a wizard would be. Also, Sorcerers get to start at adult age, while wizards are always old men.
All in all, wizards have the most magical potential, but sorcerers have the most convenient magic.
>>57229Don't forget the fact the sorcerers can actually use weapons, so they aren't
completely if they can't use magic for some reason.
Luckily Torc has high INT anyway
>>57230Well, their base attack bonus is only half their hit dice for humanoids and fey, so they usually don't land hits very well.
Battle-sorcerers would usually take martial weapon proficiency at early level, and then level up as eldritch knight to get more hit point, and apply still-feats to their favorite spells to use them in closer combat or with armor.
Did you ever take exotic weapon proficiency in those guns btw?
>>57230I wish my character's mental stats rolled out a bit higher.. At least her Dex turned out fine, which was lucky, but I'll have little chance to exploit any of those epic-level blackguard feats.
>>57231There's a difference between "Well shit, I only have proficiency with 3 weapons, and I don't have a single one." And "Yeah, I don't do the best with this sword but at least I can use it if need be."
>>57232What's Tracy's CON score, cause I think Torc's is a bit too high for a cave wizard.
>>57233Tracy rolled 11 Con. I kind of thought she'd be a bit more resilient than a cave NEET..
>>57234...
I don't like that
>>57235Well, she's a little thin for an Earth pony.
>>57239From over top of him
>>57214Tracy has been wearing barding ever since
>>57215Why again?
>>57222Why again?
>>57226Uhm, if a creature is helpless, you don't sneak attack it, you perform a coup de grace and kill it outright.
>>57241*ruffles horse fur*
>>57242Coup de attaque furtive
>>57242>why for poniesSo I can figure out which bane weapons to make, among other reasons.
>why for InferniusHe said he wanted moar Str.
Monstrous humanoids have base higher attack bonus too.
Does barding have the same encumbrance rules as armor, in terms of dexterity penalties?
>>57153>>57243"Infernius said the brown ones were okay to kill, right?"
>>57245>dex penaltiesPrecisely
>InferniusI suppose that makes a certain sense,... but he's already absurdly strong
>>57248>Absurdly strongNot absurd enough.
Also, if you could change yourself into a creature that looks exactly like you but has higher physical stats, why wouldn't you?
>>57242I just read in the D&D wiki that rogues get to sneak attack the enemy, everyone else can coup de grace
>>57250*gestures over to long line of diversity*
>>57252"I don't think that's what GM meant by "colorful." Different colors of clothing, not different shades of brown"
>>57249>assuming>>57251That's retarded. Why does everyone else kill with a successful attack, when a rogue technically doesn't?
>>57251Dealing a coup de grace provokes an attack of opportunity. A Sneak Attack is a regular attack during times that the enemy has been deprived of their dexterity bonus, caught off guard, flat-footed, unaware, etc.
It doesn't say that rogues can't.
>>57254*shrugs*
The option to sneak attack doesn’t leave you open for the coup de grace’s penalty of enemies get attack of opportunity? I don’t know D&D, so I can’t answer for sure.
>>57254No, they get to kill. It's just that they deal one hell of a lot more damage, almost insuring the thing will die, and if it doesn't, it deals a hell of a lot more damage on a successful fort save
>>57258*shrugs*
Still seems retarded. I'd go for the instant kill w/ an AoO any day.
>>57259Coup de grace is not an instant kill. It's damage, and then the enemy must make a fortitude save with the DC being the damage done, or it dies. Because a Rogue does like six times as much damage, they have a much higher chance of actually killing the thing
[1d20 = 12]
Rolling to develop the Vanguard Feint (strike) maneuver.
>>57261Dude, fucking stop this cancer. It was awful when Infernius started it, and it's not any better when you continue it
>>57261WTF is the Vanguard Feint. I'm showing a vanguard as a class, is it a class ability?
>>57263It's from the same set as the Thousand Swords Bulwark (Army of One); a first level maneuver.
In a standard action, you can use Intimidate instead of Bluff to feint an attack. Roll your target's save as you would with Intimidate.
>>57265I'm not familiar with how learning maneuvers work, desu...
>>57262I want moar abilities tho...
>>57266Wouldn’t it take several months of training normally?
Hey, GM, why not limit these sorts of things to be learned in some kind of temple or training hall in some cities? That way no one can instantly gain new powers on you and it gives reasons to travel when players are bored.
>>57268Good point, desu....
>>57269And you wouldn’t just roll to get it. You will have to talk to the monks and go on some kind of mini-quest to gain the power. Like go into the sacred cave to find the answers inside of you (by that I mean wait until you fight a shadow version of yourself). It would spice things up in my opinion.

>>57277At least you can actually wear armor
and have a hit die that isn't d4
>>57278How come you never cast any abjurations on yourself on battle? A lot of those spells are better than any armor.

No, it's my shit that I forget about. Also, GM when you get on I have a question about Mystic Theurge.
>>57280Sometimes i think you should prepare your spells like a wizard, so you'll actually remember them.

>>57321Again, Stix wouldn’t know. He was only told to be careful when speaking to her and never has sex.
>>57321It was Aldebaran whiskey, since we're spoiling possible shenanigens
>>57322Holy shit, someone who is deliberately

>>57315I, personally, prefer nightmares in every way, desu.
A nightmare isn't as fast as unicorn, but it's abilities are better for basic utility.
Then again, I prefer Blackguard aesthetics, so I guess we have differing tastes. I just like the image of a fiery horse using its phantom abilities to slip through the ranks so that its rider can go straight to the boss and flank him because concealment.
>>57322Advice: If Trollestia suggests drinks, I would recommend a cocktail of ammonia and bleach.
>>57323What's that supposed to mean?
>>57323>>57322*claps in approval*
>>57325You may suggest it, but Stix wouldn’t have access to any.

>>57325Which part? The whiskey or the metafagging?
>>57329Umm... can you give me some kind of comparison? It sounds like a lot, but I have no idea if that is big or crazy big.
>>57324Shit, if I weren't a pony, I'd totally want a nightmare like Targaraene.
>>57324There's frankly pretty good merit to both. A nightmare is more mobile, which for a Warrior is probably the more important quality because mobility is by far the warrior's greatest weakness.
I was hoping to have both, like two cars. So when you assume that it's actually pretty awesome

She can be talked down, but it's not so easy as to take for granted
>>57341I still don't get how a Good Domain Cleric would be allowed to use innocent creatures as stunt-doubles and be a rapist on top of that.

>>57347>Maybe Infernius can turn you into Leslie and the potion can be given backWe agreed to never speak about that
>>57347So very this. Trollestia as a character was designed to allow GM to effectively emote "Are you sure that's what you want to do?"
>>57347>is exactly what Tracy's faggot didThere was no other way to handle that in character. Good riddance she's gone, because Tracy would just be trying to kill her at every chance.

I think I might just go back to being CN for now.
>>57353Another forest, I guess.
Tracy's been prowling around the place in case she ever decides to show her face again.

>>57360Please don't say True Neutral, that's boring
>>57365True Nuetral is the most evil of all alignments
>>57362>>57365Nah, I've just been feeling pretty whitepilled when it comes to story development recently. Up until this point, I haven't really gotten to reap the benefits of playing an ebil character, and all I've really done is smash mindless skeletons while fighting for the good guys. If Chaotic Good characters are allowed to skullfuck their enemies, use innocents as bait for escape, eat people's eyeball, and be rapists, even in the context of clergy, I may as well just be neutral so that I'm not affected by affects that target ebil creatures.
I wanted to be ebil so I could steal and murder and imagine the screaming, begging faces of the weaklings I'd get to kill mercilessly, but it looks like I'll never get to do any of those things, so I'll just say I'm neutral.
>>57367>use innocents as bait for escapeI'm still regretting that.
Not the innocent thing, more the not letting you kill Troll
>>57262Fuck you dude, ideas aren't going to hurt anything.

I'm actually kind of jelly, because I never got a chance to do something that horrible.

Trump, stop reee-in like a 12 year old that didn’t get the Xbox 1 for his birthday. Ask politely to have him change the way he is playing and suggest an alternate way of achieving what he wants.

I'm just metaposting because I'm bored and lonely today...
Tracy feeds her mimic and pours a bit of alcohol on the side of the jar (with her magick hand) so it can move a bit.
>>57615>>57614Yeah I get it, but it seems as soon as I say "Welp, my character sheet is finally done" someone says "Well did you consider ___?"
>>57618Eh, it's better than getting to a big fight and GM says "Alight, subtract 4 from that... and you miss"
Does this mean Snek needs it too?
>>57619Meh, I don't think brad or Infernius ever took proficiency in their weapons, so it wouldn't hurt to say you trained to use it offscreen.
>>57620He could get it on his next class level or hit dice, but idk.
>>576213.5e has something of an "automatic" proficiency system, where characters automatically get blanket skill with appropriate weapons (whether explicit or allowed, like Infernius with his claymore). Additional proficiencies can be purchased with feats (but who wants to do that?!).
>>57623Ah, I'd assumed Tracy gained her proficiency with her spiked chain during that three-week period she trained with in in her dungeon.
>tfw no sekrit dungeon to hoard stolen loot
>>57625She did, I don't like the proficiency system in 3.5e tbh
>>57623>blanket skillWhat exactly does that mean/cover?
Tracy is already proficient in all simple and martial weapons via class, as well as with every kind of crossbow, armor and shield. Is she proficient in kunai knives by now?
>>57626I guess they just didn't want casters taking weapons that would go to the Fighters.
>>57627Take Thez for example, she's auto-proficient in all monk weapons. She's also proficient in most types of armor, but never uses cuz monks are awesomer when in no armor.
If she were to come across a weapon she wanted to use that she wasn't proficient in (doubtful, unarmed monk damage is uber) she'd just take the penalty rather than wasting(imo) a feat
>kunaiSure
>>57629 how does one learn the proficiencies of a tulpa? Hehe

>>57630I'm not sure I understand the question
>>57629What kind of weapon is her saw-thing?
>>57632Well, how do you test what she is good at? If it is an imaginary-ish thing, couldn’t the proficiency be anything? This is theoretical and I’m being silly when asking this, of course.
>>57635The weapons and proficiency system - in spite of my reservations - is pretty exhaustive, where all weapons are either explicitly included in source material or fall into existing categories (a 2x4 is a club for example, even if not expressly designated)
I'd hate to advance shit without Brad's faggot, but can Tracy get a better look at the environment around her while she waits for Brad to wake up under her butt?
Last I knew, it was a single-file, airplane security line leading into a portal to who knows where.
>>57635You can do anything in imagination land.
>>57637I was trying to poke a little fun at you by saying that the tulpa could technically be any class with its proficiency because by technicality, the thing can be molded to desire. So how do you know monk type class as opposed to a wizard? Again, just poking a little fun, not trying to be serious.
>>57640That's a little tricky. In a technical sense, Thez existed as an unspecified and largely indeterminate entity long before being personified as a D&D character, yet it was through D&D that she
was personified, by core rules and all. Her development and evolution was story-driven, so its just a matter of the rules that apply to her at various stages. She wasn't initially a monk for example, she started out as an edge-lord fighter. Her character back-story is a parallel of a variety of significant experiences that I've had, and her personality reflects those experiences (both mine and her's).
And, if you count the 0 level in Sorcerer, she's got levels in 5 classes (fighter, monk, horizon walker, shadowdancer, and sorcerer) but monk is where the bulk of her experience and ability remains.
>>57638And fuck, I wish I'd come back here sooner.
I'd forgotten how frustrated I was back then at losing those blades. Should've never parted with them, that was totally out of character.
>>57609Stix could get his pet-thing pretty soon.
Something cool, like a legendary tiger.
>>57641I thought she discarded her Fighter levels?

The city its self is an expansively tall wall apparently of a stucco-type of material. No one in line is talking to one another, and they all wear various expressions of neither trusting nor particularly giving a shit about anyone else in line. On the occasion that conversation does occur, its mostly grand-standing and ego about who is "better" or is "the next big star". The entitlement and pride is palpable.

>>57676Do you mean a character backstory? I'm all for it, but I also agree on not hesitating if you feel like it. Most of Thez' backstory hasn't been mentioned, cuz I prefer it be through dialogue.

>>57689Okay, what does the entrance look like? Is it like the lines to get into a terminal at an airport, or what?
>>57689Tracy attempts to cut through the stone wall.
>>57689How many guards are visible on the exterior of the structure and at the entrance?
>>57694This, but not
that many. They're clearly there to moderate entrants, there's not nearly enough to expel intruders (in fact, they don't look like they'd be any good at that, not that anyone has wanted to attack Cardishore cuz y?)
>>57695Does Tracy have a set of clothes that look like any of theirs? Also What is the response to "to whom do I do file the report?"
>>57695Even if we wanted to go in, there's only one entrance.
Was Tracy able to cut the stone?
>>57697>"Want to bluff your way in?"
>>57696"Through there," a guard says pointing to the line.
>>57697Is she just walking up to the wall in front of everyone, and gouging it with the blades?

Or not, if we can just advance.
Tracy makes sure her sword is in cane form.
>>57701Then yes, the blades neatly slice through the stucco-mix, which is not actually stone but more of a concrete made of a paste and sand.
Also, while no one is immediately around, Tracy can see that the majority of the entrants to Cardishore are coming from the east, which is the direction of the Sil wall.

And of course the dog would eat the bacon, raw OR cooked. Where did he get bacon, that he was carrying around? No matter.
As far as Torcuil, he's established a bit of a rapport with the gnomes (in that he's not sussed about talking like they do), so his dialogue could transition to a more meta exchange of information (I'm not opposed to continuing the role-playing dialogue tho). I say this, cuz I could easily give a spiel that would answer all questions, but I'm enjoying the gnomes.

>>57743"Because I'm sure

>>57741“Excellent. He told me to come here to get a better idea of where I am and possibly what I should try to do here, if you have the time. I hear talk of many threats in this land and I am not sure if I will know how to combat them, or even find my way around this world to be of any use against them.”
>>57742Not immediately, they're in a relatively quiet section of the city, though the murmurings of activity reverberate through the compound, which is not precisely a dome but more of a curving wall that appears to be a dome surrounding the city. The tallest buildings compliment the wall such that from the ground outside it seems a solid structure but is open-air. Sunlight beams down upon the pavement, which shows not the slightest bit of debris or dirt (out of place, that is).

Tracy needs some spooky rainbow stockings.
What kind of item works in the form of socks?
>>57803Trump and Tracy,... er Big Bird and El Juapo find that Cardashil is a very large and rather modern (to the impression of their respective faggots) styled city. There is a degree of artistry to the architecture and aesthetics, except in a contemporary sense. The buildings are very utilitarian and have a distinct overall sense of planning to them, as adjacent buildings display a comparable style. There are sections that grow increasingly fine, and the buildings are increasingly smaller in those areas. There doesn't seem to be many people in this area, and there are smaller and larger paths available.

>>57809Certainly, and the smaller - as far as residence is concerned - the more ornate, distinct, or artistic. It gives the impression that the higher one's status in the city, the more private and luxurious the accommodations.

Stix looks at the squirrel. It takes him a second to realize that he isn’t getting an answer.
“Well, I guess I have to be going now. It was nice meeting you.”
Stix gets up and studies his map to see how to get out of here.

Imagine it being like a really long tuning fork, so dense that whatever it was brought to bear against kinda just collapses, breaks, or dents.
>>57944What is like a really long tuning fork? The proboscis of dalek thing?
>>57945No, Sugoito. The break-stick. An attack is using it like a sword. A sunder is using it almost like a harmonic device

"That mailbox recognized us as 'Intruders' right away.. I don't like the sound of that..." Torcuil and Snek are still with the gnomes as I recall, detailing the situation with the cannon.
Tracy and Trump continue to explore the city, attempting to find any sign of people. The concrete structures reverberate sound throughout the area, making it difficult to pinpoint the location of the commotion. Fae is standing by at the entrance to the city, while Infernius is rapidly making his way on Uatchit, along with doge who *blink* showed up on the fly. "Big bird-things. LIke bear. Very growl."

>>58119"Er,Ihavethedimensions,butIcouldgobacktotheairshiptomakeaschematic."
>>58122So, I take it's not possible to assess if anyone is in the building or not?
Tracy gives up on robbery and heads closer to the sound of the commotion, in stealth.
>>58123"Airshipyousay.Isitgnome-craft?"
>>58121Well, "opening the whole" was an action that was attempted to be slid through as lip service during the 4cc, but it isn't quite that easy. Since Tracy is intent on peeping, I'm assuming that's what's happening.
>>58125Whether that Cunt helps or not Trumpaladin goes back to the hole

>>58128Trump returns to the hole to allow Fae (and Infernius not long after, as he can be seen approaching).
>>58131More and more as much as Tracy searches, she gets the feeling that though inside the city, she's still in a relatively "outside" area that doesn't get much (any?) traffic in spite of the deliberate paths. Every path is perfectly smooth and precisely level. Still, she is making progress toward the reverberating sounds of people(?).
>>58132That conversation was with gnomes that look just like these ones, but not these ones.

Thousands upon thousands of years ago, there was a pygmy tribe that dwelt in the lower reaches of Detroit. For Detroit was not called Detroit back then, but Chicago, and it was populated by large mice that were known to eat human flesh. Later they were all killed off due to the continental drift which caused Detroit/Chicago to sink far into the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which was called the Atlantic ocean back in those times. That is the story of how the once mighty City of Atlantis sank beneath the waves, taking with it the secrets to its really tasty barbecue sauce. But that is a story for another day.
In any event, the mice rebelled; coating themselves with strawberry Quik and rolling around in ants, they absorbed the ant venom and became all powerful ant-mice, with six legs apiece and a mighty stinger with which to thrust into the hearts of their enemies, and then abscond with ALL THE CHEESE. The Great Lord Elway did see these things, and did henceforth sell his two-story condo in Chicago, for he did realize that the real estate value was about to go down. Way down. So far down that the Mole People would be disturbed by this and rise from the ashes of once-mighty Detroit, to feast upon the souls of children on All Hallows Eve.
I forget where I was going with this exactly. Something something Denver Broncos I think. Oh yeah, soccer is forbidden, no exceptions, no immunities.

>>58303And I’m glad I did because my internet just crashed and restarted the page. Perfect timing.
Is there a way to make poisons more potent?
>>58307More potent than what?
>>58307As in, increasing their save DCs or damage per round?
I know bigger monsters (with more constitution) have stronger poisons, but I was wondering if alchemy could decrease the lethal dose, or create new poisons themselves, was considering putting craft ranks into it.
Either way, I still want to breed giant ass monsters with increasingly deadly poison. Spider-Eaters make great mounts too.
>>58309The "lethal dose" is kind of irrelevant, as even a tiny amount is considered "an application". As far as damage, the existing poisons are pretty sufficient, the best ones in particular
>>58310Tracy got hers from a hydra.
How do you acquire better ones? Do you just buy them?
>>58311If I'm feeling generous, yes
The save DC is fortitude based. Poison effects overlap for every successful applied attack (whether poison is injury or contact) except with natural poisons (usually pertaining to creature types/abilities).
Ability scores that drop to 0 indicate death, one application of some poisons do 3-4d6 in ability score damage. I'm not seeing the problem.
>>58312Okay. There was never a problem to begin with, just exploring the options.
It's also a good motivation for Tracy to help Stix hunt down some badass monsters for their poison glands and other useful body parts.
>>58313K, I just didn't want to mess with the mechanics. After looking into them, poisons are pretty solid, especially if using self-applying poison (magical) weapons. Its a relatively cheap modification/upgrade
>>58314Yeah, I wanted to make several of those once Tracy got the Poison spell.
>>58315That's actually why I crafted that heavy mace all those months ago. I wanted to make a Rod of The Viper. I still don't have the spell though, so it's just sitting in a vat of blood waiting to be finished.
Shit, too bad all those comments were deleted. I had more to say...
>>58317I still have the pictures if you need reference.
>>58318Assuming you meant from last night and more wasn’t said will I was gone
>>58319From last night, but it's not that important.
>>58320TBH, last night was as adequate a representation (in terms of the chaotic and antithetical nature to how the game normally is) of a Crimson Skies event as I could hope to depict ITT. In Crimson Skies, everyone either hides out in certain buildings where the game mechanics doesn't allow attacking players, or its a free-for-all pvp slaughterhouse with no respawn.
In a shitposting sense, that's kind of what last night was
>>58321I see.
Not sure why it was all deleted though.
>>58292>apparently Torc's faggot was excluded though

>>58331>Have a good dayNo.
>>58325From a pure religious stand point, baptism is just a symbol of obedience to an order. Blasphemy against the order should be enough in the real world to renounce a baptism by symbology, which can be anything from simply says you don’t believe it to taking the god in question’s place as deity.

I want a more permanent, independent change. And I'm willing to go to great lengths to attain it. It's my character's primary goal from now on.
>>58337>Tracy's motivation: I want powerActually, this makes sense to me because of Tracy as a character.

What was just deleted just now?
>everyone actually wanted it
Oh, okay...
So, what I can gather from the bits and peices of Tracy's backstory is: she has been a victem of circumstance, a.k.a. things out of her control
Biggest thing I've got off the top of my head is the thing I don't remember what exactly happened, sue me that didn't allow her to have foals.
Tracy hasn't always held the power in her life, and now she's in a place where she can gain powers she never thought possible, and she wants them for one simple reason:
So she can feel in control of what happens to her
>>58380>And thus she needs Etherealness and six gorrillion items
>>58380That's a very interesting way of putting it. Concept adopted and noted for future reference.
>>58381At least my character
has something that she's striving for. Your character seems content pretending to be mayor of the Port than actually trying to become something greater than he is.
My character's goal is to complete the development of her power and become a real ghost-pony. Before you start bitching about what that entails, think of what you want instead.
>>58379And why the fuck were so many of Infernius's and my comments deleted? Did we hit a trigger or some shit?
>>58381Really m8?
>>58384Yeah, Trump is
Exluding Stix one of two character's motives I don't fully understand...
Then again, I'm sure most of you would say the same thing about Torc.
>>58386Whats Infernuis's motivations?
>>58384>Your character seems content pretending to be mayor of the Port than actually trying to become something greater than he isWhat's wrong with that exactly? Is Applejack a terrible character because she is content to serve her family on the farm? Besides, I'd have him assume the roll of actual mayor if it weren't for the fact that Infernius would protest
>>58386Yes really. And I sincerely have no understanding of Torcuil's motivations. All I know is that he likes artillery and is really fucking grouchy and anti-social all of the time
>>58386Stix has that memory loss thing, and it seems so far that he's trying to rediscover who he is and what he's capable of.
Torc is an interesting guy. His interest in gnomes, engineering and artifice in general is a very wizardly theme. Wizards are iconically characters who try to make discoveries and break new frontiers in science and magick. I think his behavior thus far has been appropriate And fun, although he hasn't shown very much strange ambition for things that her really, personally wants (this is coming from a thief; excuse my greed-oriented philosophy). Torc is a helpful and fun character, and I really do like him. Torc/Snek dialog is great too.
>>58388No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying don't insufferably rant on about other PCs ambitions when you could focus on your own.
>>58390>>58390Okay, I'm just protesting as I always do about your constant grabbing for everything and attempts to break the game
Nothing new in the West
>>58387Infernuis was ridiculed and tortured for what he believed in in the last life, now he's found a place when not only do people not attack him for his beliefs, but he may be able to convert some.

>>58391>Break the gameWho are you to say when a game is "broken"? There are always greater obstacles.
Infernius and Torc can cast all of their spells without preparation or materials, and we still manage to have fun with things anyway, what I want to attain over time pales in comparison to that, so I don't see how that could possibly "break" the game.

Okay, this has been bothering me for a while..
I hear Brad's faggot complaining about being "underpowered" all of the time, but if he wanted to deal more damage, why didn't he just take Extra Turning (or at least train for it)? In every battle, I see him saving his turning slots instead of using them for Divine Might for extra Char damage, and half the time he never even uses them later on (I mean, he's already got an inhuman amount of charisma). With Extra Turning, he could use his Charisma for his attack rolls more often without worrying about running out or why-ever he keeps saving his turning slots like they're more valuable than Smite Ebil.
I mean, Paladins (and Blackguards) who prioritize Charisma have the most possible damage per hit in an attack roll of any of the martial classes after level 6 when they spend their turning slots: that's why they have the alignment restrictions and uber-strict code of conduct. The likelihood that the party would suddenly encounter an army of zombies is pretty nil, so I don't see why he keeps saving his turning slots.
>>58447>>58446>>58445>>58442Wouldn't this be better in its own thread?

>>58454What is the color scheme for these drawings? I want to see what I can do with color editing (which I suck at).
>>58454Thez is shorter and thiccccer.
Shes half elf and half dwarf.
>>58455The first pic is outdated, and would require a bit too much explanation. The second image is a gross simplification of something in between that and this
It will take me a couple hours to come up with a satisfactory sketch, and I won't be able to start on it today
>>58459Well, I could use the practice on these drawings, even if you don’t want them. I will use my own color choice if you don’t suggest anything, but I just wanted to know so I get your character’s color scheme right.
>>58460Hair, skin, eyes, the rest is classic martial-arts type garb (greys and blacks n sheeit).
Colors are approximations not definitions
>>58460Here's a pic I found that I use as something of a visual reference, except with the indicated color palette. Would b gold accents on rope and bracers.
>>58444It's also why I wish Tracy's Char we're higher, but she's not going to get the chance to increase her cloak any time soon..
>>58462Is that pale lavender supposed to be her skin?
>>58467Blackguard rebuke/command ability is actually pretty useless unless you've got huge Charisma for Divine Might, or you're a fallen. I misinterpreted her stats when I took the class.. BGs have access to a lot of insane pist-epic feats, but all of those require Char above 20..
I get a buffed-up cohort in two levels and a Sneak attack in one though, so I'm content with what I've got. Not taking any more than 5 levels though.
>>57324I keep trying to re-make that pic, but I can never get the colors right..
>>58456Although I can picture her pretty easily, I find it frustrating that I cannot find even one picture of a dwelf on the entire internet.
Looks like race-mixing of that particular variety is uncommon in fantasy land.
