This begins yet another edition of the Game thread, this time extra sweet 'cuz Norfilly won't stop being so damn cute.
The party has successfully felled the Terrasque, removed the head from the Nerd, watched as George Soros got his fool head blown off and was BTFO yet again (how WILL he live down the infamy?) and now ventures off to collect sticks, or build telescopes, or whatever it is they plan to do now that there's a new thread that isn't over 1.1k posts.
There is now an official bath-house, and characters seem quite taken by it both in spite of and to troll any detractors who would otherwise throw salt in our fun.
This is an ongoing RPG thread geared toward D&D-esque adventuring, shitposting, funposting, bantz, shitposting, funposting, and murder.

The way I see it, if an Emperor or King of Kings has died, that leaves a vacuum that has to be filled by something. Much room to expand our influence. Much room to expand Port Barry's influence. So if there were a large number of cities that had agreed to pledge tribute, be protectorates or vassals of the Emperor, I'm imagining that if there is a new leader in the Court city - one who expects less than half the former tribute and doesn't kill wantonly - it'll be all the same to them. Many cities, most cities perhaps, will become more independent. New Tyrants, new Pirate lords. We'll have to kill them eventually to free this realm. But if we can go into the Court City, show that we are the ones who killed Kefka, maybe they'll let us in, maybe we'll have to fight off a council. I don't know. But if we take that city, we'll command far more respect across this realm. Many cities will agree to open up their gates to our missionaries and tradesmen. Many will want to become vassals. This is besides the possible vast wealth and Knowledge that might exist in that city.
So I say we try to take that city as soon as possible. Before a new government is well organized.
Inferius, help me in leading a small army of Port Barry to the Court city. Two small armies. Torucil, if you can repeat that nuke feat, or provide artillery, that would also be very helpful. Tracy, you have lots of skills, and the exact way you could help would need more information.

I was thinking to just train them one at a time with the Handle Animal skill, buy them, or Intimidate them. The goal isn't nearly as much to gain cohorts as it is to fill the world with more intelligent, magical horses or monsters.
I actually had the skeleton of this idea a while ago, before Tracy even actually transformed; when I read on some fansite that nightmares were created unnaturally by subjecting Pegasi to gruesome, dark rituals that corrupted their blood and caused them to cast away their noble nature and become their own breed in Shadowfell. Nightmares were one of my favorite creatures even before I played this game (I'd never played D&D before, but I was always interested in fantasy monsters), so I gladly sprang at the opportunity to turn Tracy into one (she already has most of the behavioral characteristics anyway); I'm glad GM gave me the chance to play her as one, especially since it fits so well with the Ghost rider Theme.

The Paladin rules don't per se forbid having evil aligned cohorts, but it does require all relations with such to be justified by necessity. I have no idea about mounts.
But story wise, that is essentially the reason. Holy hell it would look bad if Trumpaladin had a mount who was going around murdering random people. Also it would be bad.
