Ambergriff wonders her way through the bog at night, looking for safety. Silver leads a heroic assault on the infiltrators before they can destroy the city. Both will have to wake soon...
Hopefully Spark's line will continue soon as well.
>>167881The waffle produces a streak of syrup along the plate. The orange juice is fine, more or less. To Dark Star's left, he sees the familiar azure white mare, with a black jacket that's overly large, walk past. She turns though, and looks back to Dark Star, then pulls out a chair and sits across from him. She still looks uncertain.
>>167882"Orange juice is Good"
I say smiling at her, I then order Her some food too
I begin eating my waffles
>>167883She smiles at Dark Star, takes a cup of tea, and nibbles on a bit of pineapple.
Waffles are always good.
>>167884Dark Star ears twitch slightly as he eats his toast
>>167885D'awwww
"Plans for today?" Blue Skies asks, still nibbling on the same piece of fruit
>>167886"Figuring out how to get us out of this mess."
Dark Star says in a hushed tone while looking down at his toast
"I think i also have classes later to go to."
>>167887She lowers her head and lays her chin on the table next to the plate, lowering her ears.
>>167889She moves her eyes and ears up.
"The same, the Golden Sun" She answers. "It's not a pleasant situation to be in."
>>167890"It'll Be ok i promise, We'll make it through this"
Dark Star Pets her
>>167891pony is petShe closes her eyes, moves her ears back, and smiles.
After a few seconds, she raises her head up, smiling.
"Thanks, Darkie."
>>167892He smiles back at her
"No problem."
He finishes his toast and orange juice
>>167893Blue Skies nibbles on a piece of toast and finishes her tea. And soon, Dark Star is done with his breakfast.
>>167864>suggestions or ideasWell, I would really like to fight something. I'm painfully low-level, and I want to learn to raise the dead asap so I don't have to be embarrassed by awkward conversations in front of other necromancers.
If a bunch of necromancers were slain in a crackdown a week ago, their research/equipment might still be sitting in a vault somewhere. I think I'd like to raid/infiltrate a police vault and help myself to some contraband.
If not that, visiting the lairs of said mages would be interesting, to look for leftovers. Maybe I could visit the still living mages and build up contacts.
Also, I backread some of the old threads, and I read the party already investigated some necromancer's lair before. If you still have the maps to that place, I think it would be cool to check it out if there's anything left to see there.
If that fails, I would like to see if I could requisition a job as a freelance Necrologist and maybe make some shekels doing actual legitimate work.
Whatever it is, I want a challenge/encounter. I'm eager to flex my powers and level up.
>>167861"Anyway, enough about me. What's the scale of your powers? I'm interested in what the mages of this continent have to offer."
>>167899Take your time. It's pbp. I'll be lurking.
Looking at my options, it's feasible for me to gain Animate Dead as a lvl 2 spell with my Apprentice feat, although I would have to give up one of my Dread Necromancer spells if I also want Desecrate... I think it's worth it:; I don't know if I have the patience to wait until lvl 8 to raise the dead.
>>167864>suggestions or ideasMaybe something to lead Rosie to the rest of the party, although it looks like you had something else in mind, so do as you will.
>>167921That's super cuteI'm sorry, I'll be a little less available and responsive than normal over the next two weeks, although a session may still be possible
You can talk about directions at least
>>167922>talk about directionsI want to investigate the lairs and potentially collect the bodies of all of the other necromancers that were slain in the recent purge.
I also want to investigate their histories and capabilities, possibly appraising what level thru might be.
And based on their total level, calculate their value based on Neogi slave prices and CR treasure value, butcher their bodies, stitch them into a horrific frankenstein turducken amalgam, and ritualistically roast after soaking it in wine to summon a titanic demon to launch an assault on the office that carried out the purge, so that we can take revenge while also distracting them so we can steal back any confiscated equipment. That's just an idea though.
Alive, if this zebra Sorceress was capable of animating the dead, she could be worth between 4800 and 6400 gp (minimum 1600) on the Neogi slave market. If she's in good condition, her corpse could be worth at least a third of that in terms of ceremonial/intrinsic gp value, at least according to certain sources, which would make her 1/3 of enough of a meal for Dalmosh. That's relevant if your cool with an absurdly chaotic shitpost in your setting though, which I kind of doubt."Say... Your wine cellar... How much would you say your collection is worth?"
That's just a shitpost idea I had though. I would still like to investigate the lairs of other necromancers and talk with NPCs, or just go looking for undead to control or a faction I can fight for my mission.
I would also like to finish the conversation with Licorice Lament, so I can see what his powers are and what the League has been doing in Equestria so far. Maybe he might have a quest for me.
I took your words on my character sheet into consideration, and I decided that I could probably cut both Cerebrosis and Mother Cyst feats.
I also realized that through bloodline rules I could technically qualify for leadership at ECL 3, and since you said you were more comfortable with NPC characters than an expanded spell list I could get to work on my cohorts.
Caligo would be a Diplomacy/Bluff based Nightstalker. I thought it would be cool to make him a lawyer or a barrister that could assist with social skills in the city.
Thresher will be a Crusader. His job is mostly just to kill things, especially any meddling paladins or clerics that might get in the way of the Black Crusade.
Since they'd be cohorts, I would know exactly what level to make them and get to work right away.
>>167861"And so, my mellow Lord Of Lamentation, what might your association with the League be? I'm as interested with the old worlders as you are of Mageholders." Posie inquires, looking the mage up and down as he sips his wine, which doesn't appear to have turned to ash and piss in his mouth
"You don't appear to be quite dead yet... Unless you're particularly good at hiding it. My vampiric heritage makes me one of the more fortunate ones among the Necropolis, but it still has quite the upkeep upkeep." Posie says, fluffing her gorgeous mane and abundant snowy chest floof
"I've heard that being alive had its benefits for blood magic, benefits that are the envy of even the mightiest liches, although, I didn't quite get the privilege to explore them while I was alive..." Rosie continues, gritting her teeth somewhat
"To take such great risks as to stay in touch with Magehold under these conditions, I would suppose that you are greatly committed to the arts. What would you say your specialty is?"
>>167923I'm still a bit indisposed, but a session or at least dialogue may be possible sometime

>>167924The slave market in Baltimare works a bit differently than in Neogi
>>167926I am not part of this thread/session but I just wanted to chip in and say.....
click
>>167926>thru*They
I meant they. I wanted to know how powerful they were.
>That could workI'll hop to it then.
>The slave market in Baltimare works a bit differently than in NeogiThat's fair.
Although, as a necromancer, acquiring creatures/corpses is going to be a thing I might want to do, and I would like a price formula to know if I'll be trying to find them using Wanderer's Diplomacy.
>>167943A feat, particularly the Canny Merchant feature of it:
>Canny Merchant: You can make a Diplomacy check to track down an item that is normally too expensive to be purchased in the town or settlement where you are currently located. The DC of this check is 10 + (the item's gp cost minus the community's gp limit, divided by 1,000). If this check succeeds, you learn of a merchant who can supply the item to you. You must still purchase it as normal.https://dnd.arkalseif.info/feats/players-handbook-ii--80/wanderers-diplomacy--3087/Baltimare looks like a metropolis-sized settlement, but the things that Posie would want to buy are likely to be illegal or otherwise hard to find, so I decided to make my cohort a mercantile type to make resources easier to track down.
So, does this party do any roleplay in between quests?
>>167949I don't recall, but I don't see any reason why that couldn't happen.
>>167950My character might not meet with the party for a long time at this rate, so I don't really know what to do right now.
>>167950What your character like anyway? Prior thread tell me you're a Wizard or Sorcerer. That's not that different from mine.
>>167949Oh yes, but characters have to be in proximity of each other which might be inconvenient. If two or more players are active the DM might be able to make anything work.
>>167953Looks like this party splits up more often than I expected.
What's your current quest?
>>167952I am not very good at these sorts of games, so I tend to lose what little characterization I think up. I tried to be a more eccentric character that had a shot glass he took everywhere he went and insisted it was important. I ended up forgetting about that after a while.
Then I sort of got separated from every single other character by accident and now I am fighting alongside wolf tribals against changelings.
>>167955Not very good, you say? From the looks of it, you've been playing for a long time now. No need to be modest.
>got separated from every single other character by accidentMaybe we'll meet someday. I'll make up a reason for Posie not to kill you.
>>167956I have been around a long time, but I haven't played all that much. I never catch the GM at a good time. Still, it is a fun time. I am still looking forward to seeing how the religious wolf storyline plays out. They have religious stories and prophecies that seem to both be true and coincidental.
>>167954I'll be finishing up my dream sequence pretty soon, the sky's the limit after that.
>>167958I don't need sleep, but I considered specking into oneiromancy anyway, just for dream sequences. Equestria has a dream realm, so dream magic might be fun.
Just to explain my absence, I'm still out on vacation right now. I'm thinking of things for Posie and friends to do
I don't think I want to make my cohorts this early in the game... Managing one character is hard enough, and I haven't had even one encounter yet. I'd rather wait until I get to level six like normal.
Soon.
Maybe Saturday or Sunday
>>168078Do you have a time in mind? Weekends are difficult for me.
I still don't have a complete character sheet, but I'm interested in seeing how the plot will develop.
Are we doing this tomorrow?
