Btw, when I pointed out the part about sample size, I didn't even say it was necessarily lower than koko's. It could be higher, for all we know. Gorilla's in nature may be smarter than gorillas in captivity.
That being said, the sample size for gorilla IQ is too small to have a legible average. That on top of the IQ system not being made to properly measure gorilla intelligence (Koko had been trained to perform puzzles and simple tasks like those that appear in the IQ system, so she'd be an outlier in any case), makes it difficult to measure gorilla intelligence, as they have many forms of intelligence (long term memory, spacial awareness, olfactory distinguishing, etc) that are not represented by the tests.
