>>179166Tin Hat goes back, and comes back hiding some object under a veil
"I understand you could use a weapon? Well, there are weapons out there that are very carefully crafted, taking many, many hours from the finest armorers, and coming from a long tradition spanning back thousands of years. They are the embodiment of the civilizations that made them, and all of their mastery and technique. To be used, the holder the holder must be trained for years, perhaps since foalhood. It requires the utmost skill. And when it is used, it delivers its blow with extreme efficiency and precision, cutting holes in its target with precision.
And sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, you just need something to
fucking die."
He lifts the veil and shows off a weapon. It looks to be a shotgun, with a square back, a long tube on the bottom, a hoofguard with lines of holes on the top, metal between, a sling, and metal bands to accept large bayonet beneath.
"The Auto-8. A bird hunting shotgun, modified by a military armorer to accept 3 more rounds of ammunition, a hoofguard, a longer tube, and fits a big, fuck-off sword beneath. It will accept 12 gauge and slugs only. Anything weaker and it won't cycle."
He hoofs it over to Mala, who examines it
"Th-thank you...?"
Mala goes about trying to replace the bayonet with the short sword Brie gave him.
>>179168>And sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, you just need something to fucking dieThis mindset is the logical conclusion of d&d HP logic where it takes three magazines to kill some monsters.
>>179168Silver: "Heh, now
that is weapon for you, Mala! Thank you, Tin Hat, I know he will put it to excellent use. I know it is lot already, but I have but one more request to increase chance of successful mission; combat stimulants. During War, soldiers would take methamphetamine tablets to stave off fatigue and maintain energy during bitterly cold winter nights or on long marches. If we had some on hoof, we could distribute them to navy ponies to ensure they will have energy to survive cold and make their escape from island."
"Does anycreature need armor?"
>>179171Mala smiles, taking a look at the new weapon
Tin Hat:
"Yes, I think we can requision that."
>>179172"I already have armor. It doesn't look good, but it assists me well with my magic."
>>179172Kira: "I'm good already. I know this studded leather armor isn't the best in the world, but it lets me move around freely and doesn't impact my ability to use a bow."
Silver continues to examine the weapon given to Mala. "This really is beautiful firearm. I had heard of these existing but have not yet had pleasure of seeing one until now."
>>179165Sex isn't real numbnuts, it's all storks. Sex was a lie made up by women to longhouse men.>>179172Dust simply shakes his head no, he'll put on his armor when they get closer.
>>179173Well, the party includes a griffin, a zebra, and a lamia. Toss in the gnoll and the party has similar demographics to London.
>>179174"Well, alright then."
>>179175He shrugs
"Alright"
Picking up the Auto-8, Silver can immediately feel the imperfections in the design. It's heavy. The free-floating barrel means that both the tube and the hoof guard have to be held in place by steel stints, and the bayonet is below the tube, giving it a bit of an angle when stabbing. The entire design would work better on a pump-action shot gun.
And yet, the reasoning is obvious. A quadruped like Mala can't effectively move and use a pump action. But he
can move and shoot an automatic.
The whole thing would be brutal as a club or as a glave.
>>179176"You need anything besides healing kits?" He asks the zebbruh
>>179178The zebra thinks for a moment
"Are there anny potions you can spare?
They would make the mission easier to bear."
>>179178>Toss in the gnoll and the party has similar demographics to London.I think the Gnoll is the most quintessentially London character.
>"You need anything besides healing kits?" He asks the zebbruh"Healing Belts are good. I don't use them because of my mama allergy though."
"Wands are always useful, particularly Lesser Vigor."
>>179179Potions are overpriced. You're better off using scrolls or wands.
>>179178Silver gives the shotgun back to Mala. "You are starting to look lot like me, Mala, with your swords, shotgun, and flak jacket."
Kira is still curious about the explodey arrow things.
>>179179Looking back and tilting his head
"Perhaps. What
kind of potions?"
>>179180>the Gnoll is the most quintessentially London charactergaspMy gnoll isn't from London!
>>179184"Healing, buffs, cures, or boons
Anything to help recover the balloon."
"Oh, and a hoof full of grenades. Fragmentation and smoke."
>>179187Mala smiles and wags his tail, then tilts his head
"Really?"
Tin Hat sighs
"I think
something could be done with that."
>>179187"Healing was recommended" He says
>>179188Silver pets the adorable gnoll's head. "Really."
somehow, Brie is eating a pulled-pork bbq sammich
"Mmmm, mmm mmmmmm, mmmmmm mmmmmmm."
(Oh, you're good, I'm in no hurry.)
>>179184>What kind of potions?"Conviction. Guidance Of The Avatar. Fleetfoot. Eagle's Splendor. Enlarge Pony...... Shocking Grasp."
Okay, I know you all were fighting or joking or whatever earlier, but it may actually make sense if the party had a designated leader, or at least, somepony to handle out the items
>>179192>Conviction. Guidance Of The Avatar. Fleetfoot. Eagle's Splendor. Enlarge Pony...... Shocking GraspMaybe
>Enlarge PonyThis one specifically is peak "I am curious to see what you do with it"
>>179190Mala smiles
>>179191Both Silver and Kira look over at the bat eating what is clearly a meat sandwich, and both in unison go, "Mmmm, that looks good." Both then look blankly at each other after in an awkward staredown as Kira replies first.
Kira: "...what?"
Silver: "What?"
>>179194D'awwwwwwwwwww. Also, it seems Silver has unintentionally made himself a sort of leader of the party.
>>179196Meta, it makes sense. We have a diverse group, and the greatest common denominator is what we should try to structure around. Afaik, that's Silver, who OOC Brie would at the very least, negotiate with and try to reason with in a conflict, and otherwise be willing to take direction from
>>179193"I requested grenades."
>>179194>Enlarge Pony>This one specifically is peak "I am curious to see what you do with it"Really? You didn't question why Posey would want to drink a bottle of Shocking Grasp?
Enlarge Person is a good buff.
>it may actually make sense if the party had a designated leaderI wasn't joking. It streamlines things to have a decisionist.
I nominate Silver, because his player has been playing for the longest.
Also, he's higher level than the rest of us, which means that we can benefit from commander auras.
https://www.realmshelps.net/adventuring/combat/morale.shtmlDoes Silver have a Commander Aura selected?
>>179198I've never heard of it and the post was not marked as being from Posey. Honestly I thought it was Defiant Dust who asked based on the ID.
>he's higher levelNo he isn't
>>179196It isn't in my items list, but if GM approves, then Brie somehow has a smol cup of smoked pulled pork
>>179198>He's higher levelHas a sad nao
>No he isn'tHas a sad for Silver nao
>>179199I thought silver was lvl 6. Maybe I am mistaken.
>>179201we're lvl 6,... oh gawd, dont tell me u don't know
>>179202I was told that we start at lvl 5. I started at lvl 3 due to XP costs in character creation.
Have I been wrong all this time? I would really like to be lvl 5.
>>179192>Enlarge PonyTags: Artist:ncmares, macro
>>179199It didn't rhyme, therefore it wasn't me. I just wanted a fee healing potions for Dust to use if spell slots run thin or the party has to split he can give some while he's not with them.
>>179203There may be details to your specific character I am unaware of, and I'm sorry if I gave a false impression. I was told Brie is level 6, with all details considered
>>179203When the game first started, all of the player characters were level 5. A lot has happened since then, so now we're level 6.
>>179197>>179198I suppose unless we get input from the other characters to the contrary (Cavaliere, Dust), Silver would serve as party leader, at least for this quest.
>>179200Hmm...that will be have to be kept in mind...
Can you all post with names so I don't have to spend time guessing who posted what and sometimes get it wrong?
>>179207I want to hear from Garv and Tenebrous on acquisition before moving on.
>>179207Well, at least that means
Posey can benefit from a commander aura....
I would be thankful that lower level characters level up more quickly, but idk how that works out in games without XP.
>I suppose unless we get input from the other characters to the contrary (Cavaliere, Dust), Silver would serve as party leader, at least for this quest. That's alright. The goal is pretty straightforward, anyway.
>>179211>namesWill do.
>>179211Not to be critical. But the site didnt used to void the Name field between uses
Prolly just me, cuz its staying. K done
>>179211The name field clears for me the second I switch tabs. I'll try to be better about checking
>>179188Assuming nopony else wanted grenades, we're gonna need a tally to divvy up by
>>179149OMG TAKES THE RADIO, SCORE
"So I guess it's my turn. I and this unicorn speak for the grenades as far as anyone has indicated, so I/we'll be taking those. I also requisitioned 2 healing/medical kits, 2 flares, and 2 MREs" [1d20+1 = (6+1) = 7] Bluff
(he did not in fact ask for 2 mres, that idea occurred on the plane)
He says this, nonchalantly taking possession of the entire box of 9mm
