>>180816Is it the amoebas? Shit, they are striking back. Better get some alcohol to kill them.
In that Cavaliere speaks their language, I would be okay with waiting for them to main the dialogue
>>180822>Is it the amoebas? Shit, they are striking back. Better get some alcohol to kill them.Indeed.
"Well, I gotta exercise," Vir says. "See you later."
Vir says and starts walking in quick pace towards the back, in the assumption that she'll be able to navigate her way on her own to the garden.
She feels an incoming migraine as the soreness in her throat continues.
Okay, nerfings aside, I think Posey would want to try on the sea crown now. It's probably a bad idea, but I'm really curious.
Posey changes the subject from her supernatural body by motioning to put the cursed crown on her head. Does anypony object?
>>180827Silver is not
especially stoked at the idea. It would help if Posey gave him her blessing to knock the crown off her head at the first sign of trouble.
>>180813Then he can tell that there's something deeply fucked up and evil about Posey's physiology and that she's keeping a horrible secret.
In hindsight, it might have something to do with the blood vomit and convulsions from earlier.
And now that he looks at it, her chest doesn't appear to be beating like a heart, but more like it's throbbing erratically.
I think at this point you're entitled to a spot check.
>>180828Huh, that's a good idea.
Posey requests that silver use his readied action to knock it off if she becomes fully possessed.
>>180825Of course she can find it. It’s just past this door. No, that door. This one? Oh yes, this one. Thank Celestia. She opens it to find several flower beds. There are some dead plants, a cage to help tomatoes grow upright, some proper cages in the back for… peacocks? Anyways. There’s an open area of rocks to exercise in. The who area is walled off by stone.
>>180830>spot checkUnnecessary at this point, that she's trying to keep a lid on it is enough to tell him what he needs to know for now
>>180830Silver nods, and gets ready with either the flat of his sword or the grip, whichever Posey is more comfortable with.
>>180831With Cavaliere's player offline, can we use his character to translate what the red griffon says?
>>180835Brie isn't experienced at dealing with spoopy like that, so I'm retracting his proficiency bonus

No, but close enough to re-grapple if they try to level the gun
>>180839(and they did get bapped for 7 nonlethal for lewd)
>>180841
*sighs*
I'm just gonna take the Attack of Opportunity and disarm

Weapon is ranged, so Black takes a penalty on his opposition roll
>Then I saw when the Lamb broke one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, "Come!" I looked, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
Muh crown of conquest
>>180837
Posey's greed and lust for power gets the better of her.
She puts on the crown.
What are the consequences.
>>180842>nat 20Brie snaps the rifle out of Black's hooves, points it in their face, and tilts his head as if to say "Are we done?"
>>180845
Will the conqueress become the conquered?
Let's find out

Initiative
>>180847>>180849I believe this is time for Silver to bonk the crown off of Posey's head, since he was ready for this possibility
[1d20+16 = (20+16) = 36] >>180849Oh well. I guess Posey got what was coming to her.
Here's her character sheet, for reference:
https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheets/?id=2789871 >>180852>>180853With the flat of his greatsword's blade, Silver deftly
BONKs the crown off of Posey's head, causing it to bounce and clatter off of the nearest wall onto the floor.
Silver: "Okay, lesson learned, we are never doing anything that stupid ever again."
>5 posts deleted
GM is deleting his posts. It looks like he doesn't like what I just did.
GM, if you want to pause for a bit, I'm fine with that. I thought trying on the obviously-cursed item would be fun, but maybe you don't think so.
>>180857I wont be petty right now, but bruh
>>180859
What happens though? Does Possy become an NPC?
Maybe we just retcon it back to before Posey tried putting on the crown? It was kinda a stupid idea to begin with, let's be honest.
>>180861Ngl, I intended to put on the crown from the moment I first read about it.
I was going to make it a Legacy Item Familiar and everything.
>>180862My understanding was that the crown was an intelligent cursed item that had dominated its user, and that a strong willed individual could learn to master it.
It's risky, but I also thought it was really cool.
>>180831>Of course she can find it. It’s just past this door. No, that door. This one? Oh yes, this one. Thank Celestia. hehe
Vir undresses and places the bundle of cloth that is her worn cloak on the floor before stepping into the open area.
She starts to run in place. Then she courches down before jumping higha few times. Feeling her breath now and some warmth in her joints. It wasn't hard to fan the engine since she'd already exerted herself while during the dip in Delamare river. She cringes a little, remembering that she called it the Delabear river during her talk with Heather.
Soon she's on the ground again. Doing some muscle exercises like push-ups and sit-ups but a pony version of that.
After really pushing herself to the limit with those exercises, she pants in tempo with any rock song, feel the sweat pour out across her body.
Do ponies sweat? Searches. Apparently, so.It washes away the amoebas on her forehead, darken her vanilla-coffee-like fur in random huge patches, and makes her the immense volume of her vine-gummy red mane stick to her neck and flatten out.
Next up is the main course. Practicing her: Protective stances against imaginary opponents, punches and kicks, flips and rolls, and heavy attacks (full body swing kicks).
This takes about an hour and a half, and after this she finds herself laying on her side panting on repeat as stomach expands and collapses.
She can channel the flashes of pain that her visions of the past brings into her training to push her slightly more, however, she doesn't do this willingly, since it increases her desire for a drink. That too can be used to further push her in her training but again, the fallout of doing so is that now whatever pride she had about not asking for is all but gone.
>>180861Perhaps Posey can roll an insight check or something, to have the good sense to arcane whatever analysis before doing something monumentally stupid,....
>>180864You deduced this from 2 rounds of combat? No, you fired off half-cocked is what you did.
>>180867No, but I'm willing to accept that consequences of my actions, whatever they may be. It would be a fitting end for a villainous character, falling to their own greed.
>>180868Sorry GM, not trying to steal your thunder, but I'd say roll a wisdom check to not fuck shit sideways.
>>180868In fairness, what I know of Posey so far is that while reckless, they wouldn't expose themselves to an unknown effect but known mind-affecting object without at LEAST playing with it a bit, and CERTAINLY NOT BEFORE THE FIGHT IS OFFICIALLY ADJOURNED, IDEALLY WITH RED GOING "Oh, hey, what the fuck, stand down"
You mong
But we can take down the unicorn too, that's not a huge problem. Kira and Brie alone can immobilize.
>>180865https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBktYJsJq-EHeather pokes her head in
"Need anything to drink?"
She does clarify
"Water? Tea, perhaps?"
>>180870A griffin who had experience with the crown, and who was acting at the request of other griffins who also had experience with the crown, raised his rifle to shoot at and destroy the crown.
And Brie's action was to stop this from happening and threaten the griffin for doing that.
Let that sink in. Ruminate on it. Remember it. Because I will.
>>180874Noted, but the Griffon was aiming at an ostensible ally. His actions may have been - likely were - well warranted, but so were Brie's. He's supposed to keep ponies alive this time,....
>>180870So what happens now? Silver knocked it off, right?
If Post wasn't successful, she would move to stow the precious in her satchel.
>>180876I have no idea. I thought that all that needed to happen was to make it bluntly obvious that putting the crown on was a very, very, bad idea, and then people wouldn’t put the crown on. Clearly I was wrong, and people would put it on because they think it’s funny.
You all figure out what you want to have happened. I am going to sleep.
>>180875>>180876>>180877I think it's probably best that we all agree that all of what just happened didn't, that the crown is way too unsafe for anyone to wear, and Silver should keep it with him so we can blow it up with the airship components.
Im okay with rolling it alot of ways, but Silver got a nat 20, and was expressly geared for spoopiness
I'd argue that as a ready action saving the day
>>180877Sorry GM...
>You all figure out what you want to have happened.I think it's fair to seduce that Silver knocked the crown off of Posey's head as it was going to possess her.
>>180878I really, really, really do want to keep the crown. I believed this could have been a pivotal moment in Posey's character development. She wouldn't put it on again, but instead keep it for study in the hopes that she could truly wear it some day.
>>180881Blowing it up with the airship components was my original plan for what Silver would want done with it, as I don't think there's a Curse Purge Plus or anything like that that can remove the cursed aspect of the crown. I know you really want Posey to have it, but there will be more opportunities to get safer, better loot, and the crown really is just too dangerous for anyone to have. Besides, this can be a pivotal moment in Posey's development as well, realizing when to let go.
>>180881>I wanted itYes, your proclivities regarding gibs are well established. e_e
Luckily, at the least the crown can no longer be said to be on Rosey's head, if not outright in Silver's hands (which honestly is the best place right now)
>>180884I am fully in favor, OOC or IC
Of course, when you’re invulnerable, you don’t need to care about cursed items. They are just a joke. Like the poison flower Posey rubbed on herself only after he knew what it was.
If Posey is placing it in her head, the NPCs will cumulatively either destroy the crown, or die in the attempt. It isn’t being taken as a prize in that event.
>>180884>as I don't think there's a Curse Purge Plus or anything like that that can remove the cursed aspect of the crownIt's simple, actually: become the crown's friend. A pony who spends time with the crown could bond with it and turn it into an intelligent legacy item, with a disposition friendly to that pony.
>saferI promise not to put it on again. It'll be safe in Posey's bag and nobody in the party will ever have to worry about it.
"It's mine! I plucked it from the enemy! Everyone gets a cut of the treasure, and this is my cut." Posey says
"Besides, it's just so... Beautiful..."
