>>179725Silver steps forwards to physically stop this pony in his tracks. He's currently not being aggressive, but him talking to himself combined with his complete lack of awareness is too odd for Silver to excuse.
>>179726Those eyes are odd. However, many other details would imply that he is a live pony, such as his breathing (which is irregular and like he is out of breath) his visible shaking and body tremors, and especially, a small cut on his nose, which appears to have recently bled and then clotted.
Most likely, this is
Equus Amicus, more specifically
Equus Amicus Cthonous - An Earth Pony
There are no imperfections immediately revealing it to be an avatar. If this is a disguised changeling, dragon, or other creature, it's a decent immitation.
Except in behavior. It's terrible in acting like a pony.
>>179729CrashIt physically runs right into Silver
[1d20+4 = (19+4) = 23] >>179730As he gets close, I should get a readied attack with my halberd before he reaches us. I threaten a 10 ft radius circle with my polearm.

Brie's ascendant spot check was pertaining to looking for significant landmarks, points of interest and - didnt think I had to spell this one out - potential threats.
Unknown ponies,... well golly, those classify as potential threats. So why Brie didnt notice the pony from his elevated position, let alone have the chance to signal the party is probably a lapse in judgement we can iron out.
Having said, I am already in bed, I made a point of expressly and emphatically asking for advance notice before official gameplaybwas starting, I THOUGHT this was just ro and socializing, goodnight
>>179735Sorry, a lot of it is likely my bad. We can hold off until everyone's back and active.
>>179735>So why Brie didnt notice the pony from his elevated position, let alone have the chance to signal the party is probably a lapse in judgement we can iron out.Probably had to do with the fog limiting visibility.
>>179735Yes. He took a look at the beach. And then left the beach and everyone else. Then while everyone else was still at the beach a minute later, it came into field of view, explicitly stated as first being seen at the 300 foot end range of field of view. Brie probably could have seen it after that, but did not roll.
In any case, it's on pause until tomorrow
>>179734Silver Fluff Stands Strong>>179731I'll withhold adjudicating the success of this until after everypony else has come into the thread

I look forward to turn-based mode
>>179631I am replying late but please know that no matter what happens, someone out there loves you and wants you to keep fighting. Never lose hope. Be prepared but don't give up; think of how Jim (Mister Metokur) has an unknown disease putting him in extreme agony, with many of his audience assuming at times he had died, and how he keeps coming back to bring joy to his viewers.I know you're probably sick of people going "I'm sorry," but if we had known about this situation I'm sure things would have been more accommodating. Like DM mentioned, there's a tacit assumption that the campaign and its world will just keep going indefinitely, though that runs into the risk of author (in this case player) existence failure. With the direction the world is going, and our youth giving way to a stronger understanding of our mortality, I agree that the campaign should be at least a little bit faster than its overall average. It's very hard to build up progression when the average in-game day takes more than an irl month, with eating, working, traveling, socializing, trysts, not to mention long dream sequences, all being extremely detailed. I personally have enjoyed the casual pace, but I do agree it needs to pick up and some things will have to be compromised.I should give my two cents regarding Posey's place within the campaign, but don't assume my opinion is worth any more than that. There are two extremes players have taken regarding their characters' roles in the campaign. (You), Posey's player, occupy one extreme, where Posey is the single plot driver that makes things happen, has goals she subordinates the world toward and who is designed to be powerful. My character Amber is on the complete opposite end. I saw the world the DM came up with and wanted to create a character that typified an everymare, even one with many disadvantages. She is experiencing the multiple tumultuous trends society is undergoing in this society: she is forced to give up farming for urban life to sustain herself, she is forced to either overwork herself or sacrifice her innocence in order to have mere subsistence, she is deracinated from community and is trying to find it again, she is experiencing all the positives and negatives of the dissolution of social life, she has to navigate all the pitfalls of love, etc. My philosophy when playing Amber is to "go with the flow" and have her react realistically toward changing surroundings rather than trying to change the surroundings herself.
She is definitely overleveled for such a passive archetype (despite having a low perform skill and a glut of skill points in less useful skills), and she'll soon be properly ready for real adventure but I am quite happy with her story and I think others are too. All the other PCs are somewhere in the middle; they aren't quite as passive as Amber is and their choices have had far-reaching effects on the city of Baltimare, but neither are they gearing towards becoming an all-dominating physical goddess like Posey. (You) brought up E6 and other low-level campaign house rules, and how it would be incompatible with Posey's concept, and that was a perfect point. I cannot speak for the DM, but if he created the campaign today with his current vision, it probably would have that sort of level cap with PCs starting at level 1 or at most level 3. As it is, all PCs have started at level 5 (a typical start for a fantasy adventure) but leveling too far past that would lose the campaign's groundedness and would induce power creep, which he explicitly wanted to avoid. He simply arbitrarily froze leveling and we all would be level 5 even now if you hadn't repeatedly insisted on progression. I'm grateful that you kept leveling from being delayed forever.Given the DM's liking towards dialectics, maybe he can figure out a solution to this. I rambled on for a bit but to tell you the truth I don't think that Posey in her current state fits conventional DnD party dynamics, not because of evil goals but because she overpowers every specialized class despite being a generalist at technically level 3. Her design is incredible and most players here are in awe of the in-depth knowledge needed to create her, but she breaks the party system. She's not the first character to do this, since I veto'd Amber's involvement in this quest as she'd realistically be useless with no combat experience. A solution for Posey would be to have her own faster-paced and higher-stakes quests, just as Amber's activities are slower-paced with "boring" (but not for me) conversations, with occasional interactions with the main party in either a cooperative or adversarial role. The main downside is that it splits the DM's attention and slows down the campaign overall.>>179641Awwww…but, maybe? Who knows what the future holds?
>>179649Oh Silver would have some interesting bloodlines alright.
>>179679>generous feminine endowmentsawooga
Pls commission art of Posey>>179727Cavaliere moves to assist Silver. Assuming the party is in a relatively close cluster (a map would be helpful), he is able to close the distance. He attempts to grapple and restrain the Stalliongradian pony to prevent him from attacking the others.. He incurs an attack of opportunity while doing so.
"You need to stand still!"[1d20 = 5] Alright, who is here?
The scene is on the rocky beach 30 feet wide in front of the cliff. An intruder was noticed trotting along the beach approaching from the left.
We have a pony approaching and physically crashing into Silver
It seems that Silver has resisted the charge and has presumably knocked the intruder down prone
Posey has attacked (or declared an attack) with her Halberd
And Garv is trying to grapple it... with not great odds
>>179756raises hoofSilver can hardly believe he managed to resist the pony's charge, he feels likely stronger than even he is. Pushing back with all his might, he throws the mystery pony to the ground and steps on him, using his body weight to keep him from moving. "
Cyrillic, friend, do you speak it? Or are you just babbling madly to yourself?"
>>179737>>179713Silver looks over at Posey and Dust, and speaks Ponish to them. "Can either of you tell if he is communicating with some other entity using magic? Or is he just speaking nonsense to himself? He has mentioned 'commissar' more than once."
>>179759If Brie's intent is to hide, his best bet is probably the top of the sea stack. The sea stack is basically a giant column of rock that protrudes outwards from the ocean just a few feet beyond the beach. It's located to the left of the party and actually closer to where the intruder is coming from. Brie could sit atop it. He could also just hide on top of the cliff, but because it angles upwards, he could be visible. He could also just hide behind Silver, Mala, Posey, or whomever
Pic related isn't
quite what the beach looks like, but it's far from completely inaccurate either.
>>179760I meant I as a player am here but hiding
>>179756>>179758Is Silver grappling him? Can Cavaliere attempt another grapple roll?
"All good plans…." he mutters quietly.

>>179768I know we might want to question this guy, but Posey has a different outlook on warfare..
And also, she really wants to test her new polearm.
[1d10+8 = (4+8) = 12] (doubled)
This is assuming a +1 enhancement bonus (like all magic weapons do). I haven't used this polearm before, so idk what else it does.
>>179768>I seeI'm ready to play, under all the constrictions I ranted about this morning ^_~
>>17976924 damage, unless the electricity from the polearm adds more.
>>179775Yes, we know, you're raring to go.
>>179758Dust shakes his head
"I believe this pony his cursed,
Or just so scared his heart is about to burst.
His rambles seem directed to himself
And his sanity seems left on the shelf."
Just to be sure this isn't some pony god though, knowledge (religion) check.
[1d20+9 = (16+9) = 25] >>179769Okay, where are you getting a +8 and "(doubled)" from?
I'm guessing that's a +5 strength bonus on double handed. Your character sheet says 17 strength. And unless she's applying a spell of some kind (which is not stated) I can't fathom why it would be doubled
>>179772I really don't have time to read every rant by everyone. It's hard to deal with this many players and IRL matters.
>>179775Unless you're using a spell to boost that number - No. She's not doing 24 damage on a single 6 dice roll without there being something special going on.
>>179776Posey hasn't killed anyone in almost 24 hours, in character. Pls try to understand.
>>179779>Okay, where are you getting a +8 and "(doubled)" from?Enhancement bonus + Str + halberd readied against a charge.
Polearms and spears do double damage when readied vs charging enemies, because if you run into them you impaled yourself on them.
>>179781Did Posey magically trade places with Silver Sword?
And here I thought spellcasters were glass tanks
>>179785It depends on whether she's within 10 feet of Silver and stallion in front of him. She declared her action, and although I disagree with it she does get the hit if within range. Ultimately up to you.
This is why maps are important >>179785Okay, I don't really care if I hit or not. If Posey wasn't in the right position, just ignore the attack. If not, I'll just join the grapple next round.
Pretty obvious that this mob is gonna get mobbed. Also pretty obvious that players who tried to declare actions were not taken in correct context. Something to consider.
Posey’s attack hits and does 12 points of damage, which does
not down it.
>>179787It’s a 30 foot wide beach that extends indefinitely in front and behind. Does that need a map? Is it going to be updated every single turn by every player?

Sure, its a 16. All the things.
