Amber considers her actions for a moment. She could probably stir it around with the excuse of really wanting a bite, but it would be a bad look regardless. Instead she blows off the excess spice, with hopefully enough bonding to the sauce to accomplish her purpose.

What a beautiful dish! Amber almost wishes she could taste its horror, as a way of testing herself and deriving schadenfreude from the fact an icky stallion will suffer the same fate. That's normal, right?

With the hard part done, she waits for Mustard to come back, which should be soon.

Kira's finding it hard to believe that anyone could resist the call of the knobs. While the plastic ones look fancy and modern, the wooden ones feel just a tad bit more natural if not for the varnish that's been applied to them. She looks to Neela to get her opinion.

The Kaftar moves back into the candlelit room. Posey can see that pews have been removed, the floor is wooden with carpet, and there are paintings and items on the walls. But Posey isn't paying attention to that. The Kaftar looks directly at Posey, and allows the other to close the door.

"You are the pony who asked for Agire. Why do you speak his name?"

"We make an appeal to the other side by offering them a life in exchange for Agire. Depending on the result of our appeal, we may be blessed with a miracle, through which he could return to us." Posey says
Posey opens her satchel and flips through her grimoire, stopping at a page that roughly illustrates the process.
"I'm sure you're familiar with the concept, being a seasoned priest yourself."
She continues
"To do this, it will take some cooperation. Appealing to a higher power for rewards of this magnitude isn't simple, it would require divination, and guidance, the sort of the priestly variety. I myself have a suitable candidate that we could use for the ceremony, but I'll need your assistance, and your approval, to carry it out."

He walks past Posey in a half circle that seems almost predatory or threatening, but with his head visibly locked forward and down as he walks through the dim yellow light of the converted building, it is more likely he is thinking.

"Agire was willing to meet with the outsiders. He was willing to converse with other faiths. No. He loved to meet with the outsiders. No, he wasn't in favor of integration, but he did join that... Society... And it killed him..." He looks to Posey holding his head below his shoulders, such that he is looking up towards her. It doesn't make him look smaller, but more like a cat ready to pounce.

"But Agire was indeed wise. He did trust in the Angel. And he trusted in The Society. I know of no way to bring him back..." Now he looks away, even lifting a paw as if unable to look at Posey. "But I have to take that chance... To get him back." And then his head turns back to Posey, and with a sniffle "Yes. I will take your... offer..."

>>175378
Her section is not equally crowded. The booths along the wall are full, the tables are not. It appears that the interlopers have gone to a booth that was just freshly cleaned - at least hopefully it is cleaned - and was the lone open booth in her section. Hard to say if this is "too" crowded. The tables are far from full.

>"Yes. I will take your... offer..."
Posey nods respectfully
"I appreciate your willingness to trust me, after everything that's happening."
She continues
"Appealing to the other side is no simple task. Even after exhausting all of my own powers, I have only a one in four chance of succeeding; but together, we could raise our chances."
Posey then explains her plans for the ritual.
She explains that she has a "prisoner of war" (Sasha), a diamond dog, that she's willing to offer for the ritual. She assures the priest that it's unlikely that anypony will come looking for her, because nopony knew she was here in the first place.
Since the ceremony involves sacrificing a creature, it needs to be done in secret, but the chance of success increases if it can be done in front of ten followers and on an altar. If the priest can offer Posey any assistance in bringing the sacrifice into the city unnoticed, she says it would be much appreciated.

Finally, Posey inquires if Di Bin Milyaketan is willing to assist her with spellcasting to increase chance of success. I feel it's safe to assume he has Cleric levels, because his presumed successor was affiliated with the Society Of Bones, and was therefore likely a Cleric capable of casting Necromancy spells. She inquires the scale of his powers (what level spells he can cast), with the presumption that he's unable to raise the dead. If Di Bin Milyaketan is unwilling or unable to assist Posey with spellcasting... Well, she could try to seduce Baka to help her out.

I'll stop here, GM, because I just want to point out that although I mentioned Guidance Of The Avatar in my rough draft, it is a Web archive spell and is considered by some to be kind of cheap (+20 circumstance bonus to any skill check), so I get it if you don't want to include it in your game.
The plan without Guidance Of The Avatar is to buy a scroll of Imbue With Spell Ability and give it to Di Bin Milyaketan, and have him imbue Posey with the spells Sacrificial Skill (1st) and Lore Of The Gods (2nd). Posey intends to sell the scrolls she never uses alongside the rings she can't wear to afford this.

Posey is trying to hit a DC 35 Religion check, which could call a Lilitu and have it cast Raise Dead. The DC 40 check for Limited Wish is pretty much unaffordable without the spell mentioned above.
