The Adventure continues
Six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where Chrysalis chose a different approach to her second attack on Equestria. The Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures thank to their dealing with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
The Eastside Tavern Gang has broken through the house and pool-house of the politician Comte Burgher. What they found has been nothing short of astonishing. Deeds for properties bought by secret societies, seditious communications, cryptic booklets, concerning academic interests, and above all else, a sex dungeon with two young colts chained up, and traumatized. With these, they found something else: two caged and chained up adolescent Changeling drones. So doing what any logically minded group of people would do when encountering caged life-force vampires, they let the things suck on them, then took them home and hugged them and loved them and squeezed them and called them 'George.'
Dark Star is coming to terms with loss in the Stallion's room of the Eastside tavern, while Iron aids him. Silver dreams of an Equestria that is no more and his long lost family (while sleeping in a fairly awkward position). Ash awaits a new dawn of service, Onyx a new life of possible employment, while Brie and Spark stay in a small room with two strange guests

>>88450"Ich bin nicht schlecht?" Asks the foal
>>88451He moves his wings a little, almost a slight buzz in contentment
>>88454"You are most welcome"
>>88461"There's still several hours. Its a bit early for that, but thanks anyway." He says with a wink.
>>88462"Ja, du ist schon. Ich,...."
he turns back to Silver.
"Could you tell him that he and his brother are adorable and wonderful and that nothing bad will ever happen to them so long as they are around us?"
>>88464"Vielen Dank" Says the little foal
>>88465"In math class, but they will be coming out in just a couple minutes if you want to see them"
>>88462Silver enjoys watching the happy changeling with him. He relays Brie's message. "Die Fledermaus sagt, dass Sie und Ihr Bruder bezaubernd und wundervoll sind und dass Ihnen nichts Schlimmes passieren wird, solange wir in der Nähe sind."
>>88466"Where would be the best place to wait?"
>>88468"Du hilfst schon"
>>88469"You can wait here, not long"
>>88467"Das ist beruhigend" Answers Kerr. He genuinely seems to be in a better mood than he was some minutes before. For a moment, the strange electric feeling stops, and he warms in only a few seconds
>>88470Silver pats the top of Kerr's head again. "Du siehst aus, als ob du jetzt in höherer Stimmung bist."
>>88471"Vielleicht" replies Kerr
>>88472The response gets a chuckle out of Silver. He doesn't break the embrace just yet, allowing Kerr to decide when he's done.
>>88470"You too," Brie says, not really understanding, but perceiving that it wasn't uncomplementary. He gently lowers down to a laying position, still draping Wesley with his wings and closes his eyes to rest, if not to sleep (who knows if he will be able to sleep, but he will need his energy regardless).
Its late for me too, and I've got planning and preparation before he goes off on a suicide diplomatic mission. Have a good night all
I think I will have to stop it right here. My dad wants me up earlier in the morning
>>88475Wesley coos and lays down with him. This isn't necessarily the best way to conserve energy, though
>>88473Kerr could go on forever, but he relents, and lets Silver stop
"Umarme mich einfach später"
>>88474"Alright, now you may see them"
>>88478"Einverstanden." Silver stands up, leaving the blanket with Kerr.
>>88479He can feel that he is sweating a little
I had another one of those fucking dreams, and this time I think I'll accept the blame for having it because I made the ill-advised decision to have a root beer float not too long before I went to bed.>>88484Ya got a chuckle out of me.
>>88486>>88488You clearly have much deeper problems than ice cream
>>88490I mean, I might. I certainly won't deny that I'm not exactly the most well-balanced of people out there.
>>88488Elaborate more on this dream
>>88484>sensible chuckle >>88496>>88486>>88485Why? It's stupid and makes no sense
>>88496Surprising you appeared at this hour.
>>88497That's the point. It is stupid and vaguely references that eminem meme about spaghetti and mothers.
The moment you make someone sweat, the mom's spaghetti meme is applicable.
>>88498I haven't been asleep, i'm tired of waking up at 6pm my time. so im gonna stay awake all day so we can start whenever everyone is ready.
>>88500Well, here's hoping the GM is ready for you. A tip would be to eat the whole fridge. It should boost your body to squeeze in more awake hours.
>>88501i'm currently ingesting caffeine
>>88502That probably won't be enough if you want to last for 16 to 24 hours. I suggest eating a lot of carbs. They should help you out. Fruits and wheat-based products are good options to snack on. Eat some rice or spaghetti if you control what you can lunch and dinner. Put spicy stuff just to put your mind on edge.
>>88496This time it was a survival horror game. The game in the dream didn't start out that way. First it was an adventure game, then there was a brief interim when it was a platformer during a dream sequence, then all of a sudden I'm looking at a little preview snippet of the next chapter in the game and it's you trying to survive against zombies or something like zombies using nothing but a fireaxe, or a pickaxe, or something of that nature. So I start the chapter, and it turns out I'm at an abandoned mine to investigate what happened to all of the miners who suddenly disappeared without a trace. It's a fairly spooky descent, there's no dangers yet but it's very atmospherically dark and there's a look of creepy ambience and it's clear they're building up for something. Then I got to the place in every survival horror game where you start to see what went wrong without actually seeing what went wrong. There was mining equipment, pickaxes, shovels, mining hats, all of it abandoned with no trace of where the miners when except for some boot prints where the miners were trying to run to the mine's exit, and tracks made by
something dragging bodies further into the mine. A bit further into the mine, and I finally saw part of what went wrong.
From a hole in the walls of the mine, there was a large, fleshy, pulsating tentacle, snaking out from the hole to a nearby corpse of a miner. The mass of flesh looked like what you would expect it to look like: exposed flesh, sinew, arteries, the works. It was in the process of absorbing the corpse into its mass, and the entire torso of the miner was engulfed by the now-bulbous end of the flesh tentacle. It was disgusting watching the thing pulse outward, and it made an unnatural sound as it did like someone wading through thick mud. Now, I don't like horror games. Outside of the few times where my mind decides that I'm an unshakable juggernaut who isn't afraid of anything, horror games make me freak right the fuck out, so when I saw it, I paused the game, put my head in my hands, and just kept telling myself over and over again "Fuck fuck fuck! I don't want to do this! Why is it a horror game!? Why!?" Then, after I had calmed myself down a little, when I picked up the controller to start the game again, I woke up.
>>88502Caffeine isn't a substitute for sleep, fgt.
>>88505>not really being in the mine trying to figure out what went wrong and fighting a tentacle monsterBetter than last dream.
>>88507I hope you have good intentions, Mr GM.
>>88508I'm glad I didn't actually get to, because despite not getting to that point, I just know there was going to be a part of the mine where the fleshy substance was covering the entirety of the walls, floor, and ceiling, and THAT would have been creepy.
>>88509I suppose your subconscious knew that too, judging by your outburst when encountering the tentace monster dragging the miner scene.
A tip for your subconscious: Imagine torching the thing with some WWI Geneva-breaking flamethrower, because the GM is basically salivating by the dream you just gave.
>>88511If the flesh on the walls is too high in moisture, it won't burn effectively
>>88512If you ever tried Cheat Engine, you can imagine hacking your damage value to one shot the tentacle with your pickaxe.>>88513As long as the tentacle boils, it should do some damage.
>>88513Flesh on the walls, water on the knee.
>>88512I was thinking of having a Flamethrower as my character's main weapon.
>>88515So you were walking through knee-high water where you couldn't see what was underneath?
>>88517Yeah, but that's only 1d4 damage at a touch range.
Then again, a few also sounds like it'dbe expensive enough to count as masterwork.
>>88519No, but I could imagine something like that in a different part of the mine.
>>88520If that's the case, I suppose the flamethrower would do similar damage, unless oil burns brighter than magic for some reason.
>>88523A flamethrower shoots a 5-foot-wide, 30-foot-long line of flame that deals 3d6 points of fire damage to all creatures and objects in its path (15 DC reflex for half). Creatures damaged by it catch fire.
>>88524It also has highly flammable tanks that are liable to explode as soon as you get a little too into it.
>>88525True, but explosions also only deal fire damage (6d6 to wearer, 3d6 splash damage).
>>88524>>88525Oh. I guess that sounds like a good weapon to wield.
Can Ash even carry such a thing? I'll have a nap. Be back in 2 or 3 hours.
Well, I've had my sleep. I am ready for this session. Who else is ready?
>>88532I'm going to have to eat dinner at some point, but I have no plans.
>>88534>>88533I hope you're ready to be asked about your backstory. While Iron aids Ash in her sorting and storing of toys, he looks up, thinking of something. He proceeds to turn to Ash. "I have been wondering. Back at the tavern you told me you were alone for a long time. Was that isolation intentional, like your fasting?"
>>88535I'm not really, but may as well just do it.Sister Ash is silent for a while before she answers
"..... I guess you could call it a spiritual journey.. There was a time during my training where I found myself alone for quite a while. Instead of rejecting loniness, I embraced it.. It's just another form of discipline.."
She pretends to be busy for a bit before she continues
".. but, I wasn't
really completely alone throughout my travels. I had the trees, the fauna, and the sprites of the forest for company; albeit, they didn't always hold conversations very well."
>>88533Still awake, gonna ingest more caffeine and carbs.
>>88537Iron nods. "I remember you just stared at that pack of wolves for a bit when we slept at the forest. Did you ask the wolves to back off or something? They were intent on hunting at first, but backed off without any issue."
>>88538The sister takes Dark Star to another building, an adjacent one looking not unlike the other two, and leads him down a front door into a white hallway. Ponies, or foals rather, exit out of a doorway. At the end of this stream of foals are the white earth pony and the green unicorn. They walk a bit more slowly, separate from the others, with the white earth pony just ahead of the green unicorn. It is like the weeks they were captive removed them from the others. Made them different. It hasn't quite bonded them either, as the two do not walk side by side or talk to each other. Indeed, they talk to no one. But it has made them closer to each other than they are to the others, literally.
>>88539"No. I was just really stressed a tired, so I asked them to leave it for some other day. They were thankfully polite enough to oblige." She says with a shrug
>>88540Dark Star walks up to them
>>88541"So you can talk with animals? I think you never told me that." Iron is a bit shocked. "So that is why you were never truly alone. It is rather strange." His lips curls to the side while putting one of the smaller toys in the small toy pile. "Did you have any family that you left behind on your journey?"
>>88542They walk, slowly, but recognize Dark Star instantly as they look up. They say nothing
>>88543"Oh, I had already left to my life at the monastary long before that. Once I left the temple, I decided I would rather complete my training in solitude. There are some things you can't learn amongst the distractions of everyday life."
I g2g
>>88544"Hey colts, i brought you guys some presents."
Dark Star rustles there manes
>>88546There's still a something uneasy in their expressions, but he gets the green one - Mint Marine, his name was - to smile. They do not immediately say anything, but after 10 seconds of cold silence, White Orchid opens with "What is it?"
>>88545Iron pokes his chin with his unarmored hoof."I see. Did other ponies distract you with banal things back at this monastery, like simple chitchat about whatever mares usually talk about? Were they the same race as you?"
Alright.
>>88547"well if i told you it wouldn't be a present would it?"
Dark Star Smiles at them
"But i assure you, you will love it."
>>88549Again, they seem silent. Like their desire to speak has been sucked out of them. But their eyes widen and their hooves inch forward. They are interested in following Dark Star
>>88550Dark Stars smile melts off his face and is replaced with a forlorn expression.
He leads them to the play room
>>88551Down the hallway, out through the door, through another door and another hallway, and into the room
>>88553White Orchid abides, going in. Mint Marine is a little slower, but does eventually respond and goes into the room
>>88548"Oh, no. They were mostly old clergy men. Paladins, Monks, Clerics, Swordsages and the like. I left because I decided it simply wasn't right for me." She says
>>88554Dark Star follows them in
>>88555"So you were raised in an all-stallion monastery?" Iron cocks his head in confusion. "How did that happen?"
>>88556Mint Marine examines the room, while White Orchid turns around to look at Dark Star, waiting on him
>>88557"... Now that you mention it. I'm not sure. That's just the mountain I ended up visiting. I was the only mare there, but they didn't seem to mind."
>>88558Dark Star goes over to the biggest chest and and beckons them over.
>>88560They come over, again, White Orchid first, then Mint Marine
>>88559Iron chuckles. "I wonder why." He thinks he knows why, not really knowing their beliefs apart from the fact that they are stallions. "You seem to be living the life. What exactly were you looking for in that monastery?"
>>88561>>88560He notices Star and the two coming colts. He tries to be as inconspicuous as possible as he sorts the toys, not wanting to scare the colts.
>>88561Dark Star flips open the lid to reveal whats inside.
>>88562"Wholeness of self." She says, a bit flatly
"I went there to learn the way of self denial. To learn how to live without some things that ponies take for granted."
>>88565"So you seek meaning in living life with as little artificial inventions as possible?" He says as a batch of big toys is separated into the big toy pile.
