Classic Tabletop D&D (3.5e mostly)
New players welcome, most especially our recent pony addition
Its always some level of nuts in this thread, and this moment does not disappoint.
All kinds of things have happened, the result of which is that with over a week passing in meat-space the party is still right where they left off at.
Tracy is venturing to the mountains with her floofy-faced, hutungous birbs in an oversided wagon, hoping to give them a chance to have a moment with their biological father.
Trump, for some reason, is quite butt-hurt by this. What? Its true,....
Thez is enjoying the first decent night's sleep in over a week, Infernius contemplates (((genocide))) (does it work in that context? I mean he's contemplating their genocide of course), and Torcuil learns that Death is a pretty cool chick with a morbid sense of humor in an absurd job that you wouldn't think is a job, but its literally a job. So yeah, next time he wants to hit her up, just blow ur brains out or something.
Last thread got to over 1800 posts <trumpet fanfare> but that shit is impossible on mobile and cumbersome at best otherwise so,....

>>54952M8, I find that hard to believe.
Setting up a hijacking is a lot easier to pull-off and conceal than a targeted missile strike.
>>54955Some one should make a thread
>>54957Do it. I don't have a computer atm.
>>54958Though, it doesn't take much to make a thread. Let me find an OP pic.
Done.
New rule: next time you see something interesting and think "someone should make a thread for this", just do it immediately.

*arrives at Sparta after 5 mins of indecisive circling*
Tracy disguises herself as a Spartan and wanders around, just because her faggot feels like it.
Do I roll disguise ahead of time?
How often does a character/creature gain an ability point?
>>54970I've only allocated 3 points (all dex), I can put another one in then.
Now, Dex, Int, or Char...
>>54971All of Tracy's mental stats started out low, but I kind of want to go full-Dex to get Blinding Speed..
Decisions, decisions...
>>54972Wis is kind of a lost cause though, isn't it? Sure there's the BG spells, but I'm going to take that Domain feat, so that she can use her Insanity lvl for Spells.
All of Tracy's mental stats, rolled out pretty low form the get-go. She doesn't really have anything but Dex..
>>54974>>54975What are your guy's stats, maybe I can help
>>54977Uh, I'd suggest strength or dexterity

>tfw no Earth-pony Str >>54979How the fuck did you get 21 base strength?
Nevermind, I don't want to know at this point.
I'd suggest str or dex
so you don't have that negative modifier >>54979We need to polymorph Infernius into a real Minotaur, so he can have even more Str and Con. He'd be more effective as a monstrous humanoid too.
>>54981>>54979It should be Wis.
His spells ate dead-easy to resist as he is.
>>54984At least you didn't roll a negative stat.
>>54987I don't have my stats in front of me, but IIRC
>9 str>14 Dex>16 int>11 con>11 Wis>18 chaI think Con could be 12 but I'd have to check
>>54989How does it change? Sleeves?
>>54983Especially since Monstrous humanoids have base attack bonus's equal to their total hit dice.
>>54983Even more strength you say?
If a being is polymorphed to have wings it can fly, correct?
>>54993Yes. Even more Str.
He'd lose like 2 more Int though (total brainlet), but the fact that the new shape would have lower Int is what'd make the change permanent, with the Polymorph Any Object spell.
>>54995Stop trying to spread your bullshit to other players
>>54994Yeah, but you can't just Add shit to a creature, you can only turn it into something else. And only changes between creatures already similar can be permanent.
>>54997And would it change stats?
>>54997*creatures or objects
Also, polymorph spells can't grant Su or spell-like abilities.
I read on a blog you can change a creature's race/species entirely with a carefully-worded Wish, but it's more than likely to go haywire if you try to turn it into a creature more useful than it already is.
>>54998Should be the base stats of the new form. I'd use the base stat-modifiers for monstrous humanoids and fey. There isn't much else, because it's simply inadvisable change a creature into a non-humanoid shape, unless you're trying to attack it by simulating the affects of Baleful Polymorph.
>>55001It'd only be useful in a permanent sense for changes into less intelligent creatures that way. You could turn a shrew into a manticore for only a week, but the inverse is permanent, primarily because the manticore had more Intelligence.
That's why it isn't generally used in attempt to morph characters.
>>55003So how would I give something wings?
Should I get the redbull to do it?
>>55004What do you want to give wings?
>>55006Snek is an object; you could probably graft some Wings of Flying onto him, if not just cast Fly on him whenever you need to.
>>55010
I’m going to nod my head and appear to understand what this is about.
*nods head*
>>55013I deleted the following because I thought it was poorly-worded and possibly misleading. May as well repost:
How to craft your own Maud Pie
Step One: Cract an oversized Maud Statue
>carved a large stone statue of a heavy warhorse out of high-quality granite>Be sure to decorate your Maud, with features of the pony in question>Enchant statue over the course of 15 days to craft a Stone Horse (destrier)>Though unintelligent, maud is a fully-functioning stone creature, capable of restoring her health by eating gems and mineralsStep 2: Animate your Maud
>Cast Animate Objects on your Maud and afflict her with Permanency, to allow her to move freely even when her ability to move as an item is not active>Your Maud is now treated as a construct of large size and Neutral Alignment with 4 hit dice, and is capable of making powerful Trample attacks>Being a former inanimate object, Maud's personality may seem bland to those who don't know her wellStep 3 Shrink and harden Maud down to fun size
>Use the Hardening spell to increase Maud's density>Since Maud is composed of mineral substances, her body will shrink down to pony size (medium), but will still be just as heavy and tough as rockStep 4: Awaken her
>Your Maud can be transformed into a Heavy Warhorse (medium size), with the Stone To Flesh spell. Conventional magick works on her, and she can be healed by using the same healing spells you'd use on a normal horse, since she is treated as a living creature of the Animal subtype>In animal state, enchant her over the course of 24 hours with the Awaken spell>This spell will transform Maud into a sentient talking "animal" (magical beast), increasing her charisma and intelligence levelsStep 5: Make a Wish
>As with all Epic golems, Maud must be Wished to life to attain her maximum potential>With a well-worded wish, combine the various enchantments that you've placed on Maud to turn her into a unique, sapient being with super-scored abilities>Your Maud is now her own, independent creature, with herculean Strength, tough-as-rock natural armorStats:
>18 Str>13 Dex>17 Con>3d6 Int (depending on how well your Awakening worked)>13 Wis>6 +1d3 Char (again, Awaken)Maud's Int, Char, and Wis could be higher, depending on how much XP is spent in giving her Intelligence (as an item) through the Wish......
Aaaaand, I'm done typing out this bullshit for now. I was just looking through the meta to teach myself stuff, and I used that as an exercise. It still seems like I don't know what the Tartarus I'm doing though.
>>55015Meh, it's still incomplete.
You'd still need a high-level Cleric or Druid with enough knowledge ranks to give her the physical and mental abilities of the real Maud.
Maud is one of the strongest, fastest and smartest ponies in all of Equestria. I was mostly just looking to see how non-epic spells could be combined to create more powerful creatures.
>>55016I mean, I just threw-in the Wish at the end to stitch together the bullshit.
Creating a proper Maud would be a project for an epic level divine spellcaster.
>>55018That's because of the knowledge ranks.
Through the
Life seed. Casters with enough ranks in knowledge of Religion or Nature can give greater-than-humanoid sentience and life to any creature/object. Such epic seeds would be necessary to create a truly living, breathing, growing creature made of stone, that couldn't just be robbed of it's enchantments.
This Maud, in her prototype form is merely an awakened warhorse that likes eating rocks
Arcane magick is great for creating things too though. No epic-level golem can be enchanted without a proper Wish.
The process of creating an artifact-tier Maud-golem would be better off as a Ritual with multiple different types of spellcasters contributing 9th lvl spell slots.
>>54947Uhm I can state from technical knowledge and experience that yes, a jet-fire
could compromise the structural integrity of steel beams. Having said, the building would
not pancake into its own profile in that event, and - just saying - it was Tesla tech anyway.

>>55023Just more college monotony. Other than that, I’m fine.
>>55025Computer science. Is that a good choice?
>>55026I have no reference of comparison, though its a solid choice with how technology is evolving.
>>55027The problem I’m facing with this type of degree is that I seem to be largely self taught. They give me a programming problem, give a tip or two on how it is solved, then sit back and watch until I finish and the cycle repeats. It gets frustrating as it feels I could get an equal education if I taught myself over the resources available online, most of which is free. But companies don’t want you unless you got that pretty piece of paper. I hope to start my own business someday as well in order to keep (((corporate))) from telling me what to do 24/7.
>>55028Yeah, don't get me started on the pretty piece of paper. Well, I know of individuals who would study additional courses while taking their regular classes, and then would challenge those additional courses without attending a single class. If the material is largely self-taught, then there might be ways of utilizing your own specialties and proclivities to accelerate your schooling?

>>55030And how goes that? Up to your neck in blue pills?
[1d20+14 = 15]>>54968Rolling a disguise check, because why not.
Applying all relevant modifiers
Tracy disguises herself as one of the Spartans, just to see how things work around here.
>>55032I was almost hoping that would happen...
Tracy walks around Spartintar, believing herself to be totally disguised, but not realizing that her bushy, blue tail is sticking out for all to see.
[confident infiltrator noises]
>>55032Oh it totally worked. Tracy feels completely and totally satisfied with her disguise.
>>55034Kek, you're on the same page
Are there any stables in Spartintar?
>>55036No. There are only tanks. There is ample parking for tanks, as well as showrooms and dealerships for tanks.
Yes, there is a stable. I bet you want a mini-tank now don't you? Maybe a 2-person tank? Perhaps a tank-wagon?
Ha ha, no tanks.
>>55037Getting my hopes up like that... [disgruntled, greedy thief noises]
Tracy walks up towards the stables, on two legs, in a spartan uniform, with her tail wagging confidently.

Rolling for even more street preaching. Because what else is he to do than to spread the glory of Football?
How many subjects can you make a Diplomacy check on at once?
>>55040Depends on the circumstance. Y?
>>55040How many subjects can listen to the same speech?
>>55041Just wondering for the sake of future reference.
Diplomacy is one of the few skills Tracy has in all of her classes. I didn't realize it could be used to sway a mob.
Does the same thing apply to Bluff and other Charisma-based checks?
Maybe I should put that last point in Char, seeing as how Intimidate and Diplomacy are two of the few skills she has in each class.
>>55043C-can I gain skill points that way..?
*wants things*>>55045That's not how skill points work, and you're probably better off specializing in the things you do well that no one else can rather than trying to do the only thing my character does well but would do better regardless
>>55046Yeah, but Paladins don't make bonds easily with chaotic/ebil NPCs or other thugs, and I want to make friends with badasses to join the Wild Hunt.
I'm not really intending to put skill points in that atm, but I'm really just confused as to the practical difference between Diplomacy, Perform, and Bluff as of now.
Tracy's faggot has yet to given up on ogre-diplomacy. Imma' take another crack at it asap. >>55047It was already explained to you that Tracy does not speak the language
>>55048I'll figure something out when I get there.
>>55048People have learned to communicate with different languages before since ancient times. That’s how people learned other languages before Rosetta Stone software.
>>55049Or it'll go down just like last time
>>55050Oh yeah, she's just going to learn an entirely new language in two days
>>55053I'll say to you what i have said so many many times to Torcuil: "go talk to your waifu"
Tracy is heading towards the stablles, since brad is busy with a speech or something.
>>55055He's mostly just occupying his time until Renquist and Baz are available
>>55056I'm actually not familiar with the song
How the hell did this tide pod thing even become a meme in the first place?
