>>5628>>5630There are two goals that guide our actions - to kill the Terrasque, and to convert this planet's inhabitants to the one true Football. Though at first these may seem to be disparate and separate goals, the latter actually feeds into the former, as clerical knowledge gained, and the power of devoted followers, can be weaponized for use against the Terrasqu, and Elway is more likely to let us prevail if we first spread His word. But besides the religious aspect, we also need to create seige weapons, or draft an army, for use against our many opponents. To these seperate ends, we must build a stadium - to worship and train the common folk in Football; establish a monastic order - to be missionaries travelling the planet, to teach peasants in the arts (including the art of turning adamantium into ammunition), and perhaps even to fight in our battles; improve the resources of the current forge - so that it may be able to create the Trebuchets (can we make cannons?) that can slay larger foes; and create a headquarters for the peasantry to organize much of this on their own. Remember that Port Barry is, above all, a port. It can import laborers, skilled and unskilled, any materials necessary, and export missionaries
>>5631I'm totally digging where your head is at right now. ^_^
Oh and yes, the forge is sufficient to develop seige engines, trebuchets, ballistae, etc.
>>5634Ballistae do WAY more damage, but with less range.
>>5633>>5634>>5632Trumpaladin's first stage is to use his perception to judge the most pure and worthy of the unconverted peasants. These, he converts with his showing of Superbowl XXXII and Elway's Helicopter tackle. these shall become his first monks and establish the monastic order of Mile High. This monstatic order will have several functions. Most will begin the missionary process of converting the entire population of Port Barry to Football. Some will assume the role of educators at the Port Barry Parochial School, which may need to be constructed. They shall train the citizenry in every essential art. And some will board the next ship out to far off lands to spread the word of Football
>>5635>>5634>>5633>BallistaeThis would be an insanely useful tool. Essentially a giant crossbow, having three or so of these with teams, and with Adamantium tipped bolts, would be able to fell - or at least damage - larger and stronger opponents
Also, cannons have better range than ballistae tho less then trebuchet, do comparable damage to a trebuchet, but also have significant damage reduction-negation (with the potential of using explosive rounds ^_~)
>>5636Okay, what you're describing, I have only 2 comments.
1st, it will take time, I mean you're not going to immediately convert a bunch of people in a few minutes, it might take a day or so, then time to train, etc. As for the feasibility and quality of the idea, i have only one thing to say, which is my second point:
Football.
>>5638No matter, he has time. Assuming the treasury is secured - and that is the most important step, because he really will need that 120,000 shekels as the down payment for this program - Trump starts a public function - a rally, if you will - where he gives a speech about everything his group has accomplished thus far, and how they will bring jobs, jobs, jobs to the lower class citizens of Port Barry when the manufacturing of weapons begins. But while speaking about how he will make Port Barry Safe gain, Work Again, and Great Again, he mentions Football.
The purpose of this rally is two fold - to instill trust for the group in the citizens of Port Barry, but more importantly, to look for those six or so people who will approach him to talk about football. They, he will convert. And they in turn shall become monks, who will hep find other monks
>>5636>>5635BUT
Can a ballistae launch a 90kg projectile 300m with a counterweight?
>>5641Have no fear. Once we begin tithing - admittedly a little ways down the road - we'll have the funds to create all of the siege weapons
>>5642Is a panzerkampfwagen a seige engine? Also question for the GM, can my staff of trans-mutilation revert thing to a past point
like cooked meat to raw meat, rust into iron, or unbake a cake?
>>5643I'll be back tonight, about 5pm est
And I wont forget music
>>5639Dude, with that idea you're going to get more than six people. I'm just sayin'.
>>5641No, a trebuchet is clearly the staple option for war machines. Having said, a well-rounded operation would include all 3 mentioned as well as others.
>>5643Yes, but no. The thing is, 'transmutation' is just a name. Its ability to transmute outside objects (polymorph) has been expended. I should/will call it something less grandiose in the future, as the name is a little misleading.
>>5644Copy that, I'll have some new bread by then. Take it easy.
Also a note about panzerkampfwagen;
Given the technological sophistication of the time, the best you're going to be able to craft for now is a Da Vinci-style tank, though further development is limited only by ingenuity, crafting skill (Thez knows a guy) and the subsequent die rolls.
>>5645Those six are just to help start the process of finding the rest.
>>5643It may be wise to begin the construction of a library in Port Barry to contain magical knowledge
>>5648>1 post by this IDWho is this newcomer?
just kiddingOkay, so of those who are receptive, you're looking to form an ace-team. Very Trump of you, I get it. Also the library isn't a bad idea. While that is the purpose of the library in the tower, there is no harm in having more resources.
Incidentally, at this point only Lenos has actually read the manual, so the party is still kinda at his 'mercy'.
Also, I rate the stadium as only costing about 50,000 bits (equal to a standard castle), so you have more resources than you might expect, and that's without converting the gems into coin.
>tfw this thread doesn't appear on the overboard or homepage, so I missed discussion
>>5651Don't worry, its all been clarification, illustration, and discussion. I'll bake nu in a few hours
>decided to try something different from chaotic neutral THOT shenanigans>try being neutral evil>try to be all peaceful 'n shieet, and be diplomatic with the ants>was hoping to try and pull off the "voice of reason" feat>They like foosball>4cc is basically virtual foosball>thought we'd find common ground>didn't>just end up looking like an idiot>look out of character>reveal aversion to demonic practices, with no reward>lose soccer ball trophy made out of whore's ass>get a bunch of shitty roll on top of itThis is what I get for trying to have a shred of originality...
>>5642>*humps leg* >>5653It's okay, I tried to negotiate with them, then go around then, and then kill them with Football - none of which worked
>>5653Don't feel bad, you were trying to reason with an elitist insect who's entire position was based on inheritance and groundless authoritarianism. You'll have much better success with other factions, I assure you.
And actually, you may find that the remaining ants didn't care much for her either and are glad she's a smudge >>5654Oh, you could have easily killed the others with Football, but note that aside from trying to prevent you from entering the Queen's chamber, none of them rushed in to assist.
>>5655Are there remaining ants? Do they still appreciate non-deadly foosball?
>>5652Please also put the quick rundown of recent developments in the next thread.
>>5657Of course, who would want to lose their head cuz they lost at foosball??
>>5658Gladly
>>5660Can I befriend these ants through common interest? With the Queen gone, they're under threat of losing all of their edge and developing thorax vaginas: I will teach them sustainable ways to substitute their lost edge.
Also, can I increase stats or develop new feats in the traning room? I want to practice throwing MY new kunai knives.
>>5661Yes and yes. You haven't met him yet, but you will find the newly presiding Myrmarch to be far more reasonable and diplomatic (not in a pussy sense, but in a 'interested in the hive developing beyond a queen (though there's that nasty issue of breeding) sense') and interested in cultivating relations with the surrounding cultures and factions.
Also, that's precisely what the training area is for.
>>5662*stealths off to go have a diplomatic chat with the new Myrmarch about
virtual divegrass and whatnot, bringing hide for crafting*
Also, do I have access to crafting arcane weapons yet?
>>5663There are a number of books on the subject, and you can certainly research to increase your skill. Plz note though, you're starting from scratch (skill level 1, developing upward). You have the option of developing your own skill or appealing to more skilled crafts-ponies.
>>5663Do I get feedback from the Myrmarch?
Does crafting masks and
soccer balls count as experience?
>>5665As basic crafts, yes. Crafting magic items is more intensive, requiring not least a proficiency with magic. ^_~
>>5665Also
>responseYou can and will, but in the paraphrased words:
"For now, I think its best that we leave the Ant Hive to the Ants."
>>5666idk if an Earth pony suddenly showing interest in crafting magic items is in character atm... Maybe I'll find a way to get Lenos to make me one later.
What does the Myrmarch think of my
Truncated icosahedrons?
>>5668As for crafting, it certainly won't be as easy as it would be for a unicorn, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. Still, if you're looking for immediate results, Lenos is a good option.
"Also I know a guy!" Thez is up BTW.
Music dude here for a quick check in,
Do we want music music, or ambient noise?
*stealths off to training room, to grind kunai throwing*
>won't be as easy as it would be for a unicorn
D-do Earth ponies have any unique quirks? Can I perform wildform feats, or something of the like?
>>5671I'm not picky. My mix is more adventure-themed, but whatever works.
>>5672Earth ponies would naturally have a greater capacity for Strength and Constitution, but there is no prohibition on development (that I can think of).
Likewise Unicorns would be Intelligence and Wisdom, while Pegusai would be Dexterity and Charisma.
>is grinding with kunai
So.. how do I acquire new skills and martial disciplines?
>>5674Well here's the thing. Aside from my earlier indication of "largely/moderately skilled", your skills are as yet undefined. As a 12th (maybe 13th, I haven't crunched the numbers yet from last night) level rogue, you have LOTS (rogues get the most skill points FYI). Additionally, there is the topic of feats which amount to 'special moves/techniques', which you also have several of. Depending on your (and not just your) preference I can summarize/detail the specifics, or if you have the time and are bored I can direct you to my personal favorite resource on the matter:
https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Skills_by_Typehttps://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Feats >>5606I pick up the greatsword. And ask thez about it.
>>5675Alright... (I've never RP before, and can't really make heads or tails of this). I prefer to keep things mostly ambiguous at this point though, because I'm really learning as I go...
As for racial abilities and limitations, I'm not sure about Tracy... There is no real established "pony" race, among role-playing games; and a lot of w00t's Tracy pics on DB are labelled "semi-anthro" because of her flexibility of movement.. Overall, she's a meme-OC with an inconsistent design. I welcomed the chance to turn into a mount, partly because I could just play as the 'Awakened Horse' species, which was why I didn't triple-wield at any time during that play. The problems also come up with character evolution. Horse aren't exactly given very much specificity, when it comes to getting stronger over time, although but beyond level 6 they're geared to evolve into unicorns or pegasi, BUT I DON'T WANT THAT because it's horseshit. Long term, I was hoping to write-up a unique class for character development based on ghost rider and the book of revelations, having her being corrupted through wicked feats, insanity, and demonic possession (like she does in the books) for the sake of unlocking monstrous evolution pathlines, but I'm still totally new to this stuff....
Also, you said that ponimaru's body would be reconstructed, but his mental state wouldn't automatically recover: any chance I could take advantage of his PTSD and threaten him into making me a ninja scroll
*continues kunai throwing practice*
>>5678If you inspect the thread,
You will notice the rapier is mine thot.
also here's some ambience cause I wasn't able to make a playlist today:

I'll find some shit for any bosses tonight
>>5680*drops rapier*
