RP Thread. Its D&D mixed with shitposting. Classic (flexible) rules, and more autism than you could shake a whole group of autists at, even if you did so autistically. New players area always welcome, whether continuing, one-time, or 'just shitposting'.
Welcome back to the ahem 'Bathhouse', a progressive thread that I'm sure plenty of anons wish would just fucking die already. What, its true,....
This particular beginning is heavily seasoned with enthusiasm and delight. Hot on the heels of killing a bunch of We Wuz, the party almost shattered for several reasons, both in-game and out. In spite of it all, the characters continue on their quest to do,... well,... stuff.
Trumpaladin has been gifted a quest from Lord John Elway. Infernius has been gifted a quest from the Fuhrer, Tracy wants to stab more shit, Torcuil is beginning to get clever with his use of Snek not like that you perv and Thez is thanking her lucky stars that she even exists anymore.
Torc decides to train Snek while his faggot gets artistic.
Can Snek get feats? Or no?
>>47682I'm good with it. Only one to start tho.
>>47678>Thez is thanking her lucky stars that she even exists anymoreI still kek at how ironic that sounds.
>>47682I suggest Point Blank Shot, or Exotic Weapon Proficiency.
Tracy feeds her birds once again.
>>47681 →>will be consideredMaybe I said too much... Hehe..
>>47683You know, perfectly abiding by the rules, and even at level 17, Trumpaladin is eligible for a very young Silver dragon as a cohort. At level 18, he'll be eligible for a very young Gold Dragon
>>47688I thought you had to be ebin lvl for that?
>>47688And when he's into lower epic levels, he'll be eligible for a young Gold dragon, or even a juvenile Silver Dragon
I tried drawing Mr. Snek, and I learned I can't draw a fucking gun for shit. Snek turned out pretty good though>>47685>>47683I think point blank shot would be best for Snek, especially since it opens up the way for more ranged feats.
>>47690What determines what cohorts you can attract and when?
Also, can Tracy make a profession check to open her Ranch now?
>>47689Well, the dragons I want are ones that share my alignment and these are also the ones that have the ability to shape shift, which limits it to the third (sort of tied for second) most ebin dragon (besides bullshit like the force dragon) in the entire set of dragons, and the most ebin dragon subspecies in the book. This means that the two dragon subspecies I am interested in have high modifiers.
>>47693Well, you have to have the leadership feat (and epic leadership to have leadership scores beyond level 25), and then leadership score is determined by character level plus charisma modifier and a few other modifiers, but the leadership score allows you to attract a cohort of up to a certain effective character level. You can have a cohort of up to two effective character levels lower than your current level, but never higher.
effective character level is not the same thing as hit die, since many races have features that make them more powerful or capable per hit die than others. The two lawful good dragon species have very high adjustment modifiers, so that means a pretty strict limit on the number of hit die he can have in a cohort.
A character can try to attract cohorts of specific races, classes, and alignments.
>>47695Can you attract outsiders as cohorts?
>>47696Several types of outsiders have adjustment scores so apparently yes
[1d20+16 = 23]>>47697>>47694Making Profession (animal/monster husbandry) check to open personal Monster Ranch in forest/grove.
>>47699... Does that pass?
>>47699It's not like Dimensional Anchor has a limited amount of time that it's effective or anything
>>47698I wouldn't mind having some hags, giants, or devils to help out around the place.
>>47701We'll just re-cast the spell.
Wait until all of the zombies get hungry and eat each other.
[1d6 = 1]
[11d8+14 = 56]
Please excuse my random rolling as I run some numbers
>>47702Do you have no interest in killing things?
You only get one cohort
>>47703>those shitty ass rollsDamn it
>>47704I'm not really that interested in attracting cohorts, but having NPCs to help-out around the ranch would be nice.
>>47699You will need to be explicit about what you envision, intend, and hope to affect by way of this Ranch. What is it called? The Ranch? This is not a "pass/fail" roll, this is an availability/suitability of land, resources, etc.
>>47701So very this
>>47706I hear there are mercenaries
>>47707I want her to have a small establishment in the woods, looking over a wide fenced portion of the grove which she's designated as her land. Animals she owns would be allowed to graze there.
I didn't think of a name, desu. I mostly wanted land, rather than shekels. I guess just saying "Tracy's Grazing Space: Trespassers will be stabbed on sight" was kind of my idea at first, but that feels kind of stupid in hindsight... I'll think of a name.
My primary goal was the acquisition of land and animals. The land being for her personal use primarily (ponies like having land).
>>47710Whatever pets she accumulated that she didn't feel like killing or otherwise found: they'd be allowed to live there semi-peacefully.
I thought of buying horses too, since they're not expensive.
>>47711But still, the monsters.
>>47712Land is the first step, but yes, I want monsters.
>>47713Basic/common livestock would be available more or less, as well as land for crops so as to design a fully sovereign and self-sustaining operation. Like a Shaolin Temple except more stabby.
>>47714It's good to have land, especially in a feudal system.
>>47716I said at the beginning that one of her original goals was to buy-up land to live on after she'd settled down.
Also, bring land-less in a feudal system is the epitome of cuckholdry.
I think I might want to have her investigate the far end of that grove first though. The way that Nithing was destroyed hints at some potentially annoying holy crap that I'd rather purge sooner than later.
>>47718Some potentially annoying crap you'd rather purge sooner than later?
You mean like a nest of lichs and phylacteries in the harbor?
>>47719I'll do that first.
>>47716Love that movie, btw.
*keens edges to prepare for next crawl*
>>47723I'm just saying, it really sucks that you can't Sneak Attack or Crit undead..
>>47724That's one of the biggest reasons I didn't want the concealment gone in the mummy fight... I was under the impression that you could sneak attack themAt least Sharpness as a magical sword feature works on themPerchance, do you know if undead can become exhausted?
>>47725No, they can't get tired: they don't even have Constitution scores.
[frustrates rogue noises]
>>47678>Thez is thanking her lucky stars that she even exists anymore
>>47726>>47726Just for the hell of it I decided to roll for Fae's treasure - since new NPCs are supposed to have a standard set of equipment when they join the party, and when it's a monster with a CR rating, you use the monster's treasure instead - and I ended up with a scroll that has two "waves of exhaustion" spells on it. A spell that does pretty much exactly what the Dragonne breathe weapon does
>>47729Pretty sure you don't roll starting gear for pre-existing NPCs.
>Breath weaponIt's a Sonic attack. Like that of a Howler or Yeth Hound.
>>47730She'd make an awesome cape though.
I want to level up already so Tracy can summon her servant..
>>47730You roll gear for new cohorts (though she's not a cohort)
>>47732I did the math and we have a very, very, very large number of mummies and lichs to kill before the next level
>Sonic affectEh, it doesn't say so in the entry, so I'm guessing for the purposes of whatever usually negates a sonic effect it's not one. It looks like a reference to Dragon breath weapons and lion roars, since it's a supernatural ability
>>47733Or it's not a sonic type that cannot be stopped by plugging the ears. Not mind-affecting
\r
>>47733Several creatures have roar/howl Ex abilities: they're considered to be Sonic weapons.
>>47736Okay. I don't really care what you call it. There is absolutely nothing in the entry for either one that suggests a supernatural sonic attack is anything other than a kind of breath weapon, and if it isn't, I don't give a shit, because I like the idea of a hybrid brass dragon having its own breath weapon and I don't care about pedantry for a fantasy game
>>47735>Not mind-affectingIt's a Charisma-based will save though, so it'd still effectively have the same mechanic.
It's definitely not a Breath Weapon: it'd allow a reflex save in that case.
>Covering your earsFew creatures have that ability, but I doubt any creature unable to hear the roar would be affected. It probably wouldn't affect any deaf creature, or a sonic-immune creature like a Destrachan (fucking love Destrachans btw).
>>47734Oh don't make that face
You'd get a new one in a month.
>>47738It probably would've been listed as a spell-like ability if it used any component other than Sonic, so it probably follows the basic rules of Sonic abilities:
https://dnd-wiki.org/wiki/SRD:Sonic_Attack
>>47738>It would allow a reflex save if it were a breath weaponDid you even read the entry? It says:
"Some breath weapons allow a Fortitude save or a Will save instead of a Reflex save"
>I doubt any creature unable to hear the roar would be affected. It probably wouldn't affect any deaf creature, or a sonic-immune creature like a Destrachan (fucking love Destrachans btw)All of that shit you made up. None of that is in the entry.
>>47740Did you bother to read the entry for Dragonne? It's an Su - a supernatural ability. Not an Sp or spell like ability. Like a breathe weapon.
>>47741Yeah, I'm just typing out of memory.. It is an Su ability now that I look at it.
I guess it's not far-fetched to treat it as a breath weapon, since only Dragonnes are immune to it, like every other creature with that ability. I wonder what energy it'd be based off.
>this grammar
That's a good sign that it's time for me to sleep..
>>47742Sonic is an energy type, so maybe both at the same time
>>47743I should probably sleep for once
>>47744Considering that it's will-based, it really doesn't matter if you call it a breath weapon or not. The Roar by itself is it's own ability. I just thought it'd be treated just like a howler's roar.
Sonic attacks are great. Too bad so few of them are ally exclusive. Great spread though.
>>47745>Not ally exclusiveShhh! Don't let GM find out, because I want to use this ability in the future
It's a 6 point strength and Dexterity drain for all creatures within 30 feet that fail their saving throws. If I cast Eagle's splendor on self and mount - or if she casts Eagle's splendor on herself when she levels up - then the save DC on her roar rises by another two points
>>47746It isn't though.
That's why I've never bothered to summon a Howler: it'd exhaust everyone but Tracy and Thez.
>>47747Neither the dwelf nor the pony are outsiders
>>47748Tracy is in nightmare form. Thez counts as one because of her Perfect Self class feature.
>>47749I think that was what was bannished though
>Tracy is in nightmare formCreatures with alternate forms retain the type and subtype of the original form. Do you want to be specially vulnerable to banes and various anti-evil outsider spells? Because that's the only difference it makes
>>47750I assumed she counted as one because everything else was the same, but I don't really know or care. The subtype isn't really that relevant for me.
>>47751Either way, she could always just change back into a pony if there's issues.
If I burn/blow-up a building or other lage populated area, and a bunch of NPCs die at once, do I still get XP for killing them indirectly?
>>47733>we have a very, very, very large number of mummies and lichs to kill before the next levelThen we'll just have to re-kill them faster.
Is the party going to try to smack some info out of Kang Doot before the crawl?
>>47754You'll need to supply more hypothetical context. As you have worded it, no.
>>47756It was mostly a joke to stir-up conversation.
But hypothetically, if you set fire to a building to kill an enemy inside, does that count as your kill?
>>47757Tbh, I don't really care
was just shitposting to get a reaction...
>>47756Now I have a question along those lines.
If Torc somehow set the dust on fire triggering the explosion, how much of the dungeon would that bypass?
Also, can Snek get a chameleon ring?
>>47759The dungeon is made of glassteel, so it's pretty much indestructible to any means except the ship's cannons (your meteor swarm didn't do shit to it, remember).
Remind me to pick-up the shards of material from where we entered, so Tracy can make some collector's-edition shanks.
>>47759>chameleon ringIf you manage to get one, he could wear it on his tail.
You could also just cast invisibility on him, if you wanted. Tracy could also make him a Hat of Disguise, to emulate the effect.
>>47761Snek with hat is /bestmeme/, btw.
>>47762Snek w/ hat thread when?
>>47759Chameleon rings require 13 days of Disguise Self and Invisibility to fabricate.
>>47763>whenSoon...
>>47761>ring or hatYeah, I guess a hat would be good, looks pretty good on sneks for some reason.
But I really wanted that +10 on hide checks
>>47760I know the fire won't do shit to the temple, but the same isn't quite true for everything inside.
>>47764>I really wanted that +10 on hide checksYou and me both…
He'd need it, because he's YUGE, so he takes a -8 penalty on Hide checks.
I'm not sure if he retains his monster skill points after getting class levels, but a Giant Constrictor normally has 10 ranks in Hide.
>>47766But he gets a +4 species bonus for hide checks, so I don't know if that means the -8 doesn't apply to him or what.
>>47767He get's both: -8 size penalty and +4 racial bonus.
>>47768That's not good for a rogue
>>47769Well, he's only lvl 1.
>>47769>>47770He's not even first level yet, he's level 0
>>47771But doesn't he have 13 levels in snek and probably a familiar HD bonus?
>>47772Do your creature stats really stack with your character lvls?
>>47771>level 0What does that mean, btw?
>>47772Yes and no. He's an 11HD creature, but hasn't gained sufficient experience to advance to level 1 as a Rogue. As a familiar, he gets +9 to his Natural Armor, and has a de-facto intelligence of 14. As a familiar also, he has a default HP of 1/2 Torcuil.
BTW, Torcuil gets +2 on his bluff checks.
Level 0 means that the character has begun to learn the basics of the class, and gets minimal (very) abilities of the class.
Thez for example, declared level 0 Sorcerer. Because of her Charisma bonus she can cast 1 bonus 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th level spell per day, but she only
knows one 0 level spell (Dancing Lights). So she can cast Dancing Lights a bunch of times.
In a comparable manner, Snek would have minimal initial skill points to apply (level one is (8+Int)x4, probably <1/2. Additionally he wouldn't yet be able to sneak attack, etc.
>>47773When determining character level, yes, you stack racial hit die of a monster with its character levels
>>47774I think that means snek is not yet a rogue
Definitely claiming a Silver or Gold dragon as a waifu
>>47772Do characters with PC class levels even get the bonus HD?
>>47775Is there any drawback to taking zero levels?
I might have Tracy late a 0 lvl in Sorcerer then, so she can get Mage Hand and lvl up as an Arcane Trickster.
Could Snek get a top hat with the Shadow enchantment?
>>47776Trump is still with the party yes?
"Uhm,... can I ask you something?" Thez asks, attempting nonchalance, but failing cuz Trump's sense motive is absurd. She wants something.
>>47778Both canon and ITT, I'm going with "no". I allowed it for Fae cuz otherwise she's cannon fodder, but Tracy is already more than uber.
>>47779Taking a 0 level commits the character to advancing in that level upon next level advancement, which may have its own variety of consequences.
Now for the part you're all going to like (mostly).
When it comes to skill checks, there's an optional rule I've been employing liberally without saying anything.
Any time a character is making a skill check against a DC that is -20 or more of their rank, they can opt to take a 10 on their dice roll as long as they are not engaged in combat. The idea is that the task of so simple compared to their developed skill that they could do it with their eyes closed. Tying one's shoes would be a DC1 rope use check, where its so basic that the chance of failure is nil.
>>47782"Do you,... still have that robe with all the pockets? I was thinking,... if you weren't using it,... I mean if you are using it then forget I said anything. But if you're not,... I don't know,... maybe you'd consider trading for something?"
GM, can you answer that question about the Hecatoncheires?
>>47784What's the DC for tying someone else's shoes together?
>>47783I just want to know if he'll allow it. I could always make the hat now, and enchant it later
>>47785"Yes, I believe it's on Fae's bags. I placed most of Kiynen's horde in it, so hold on while I get it and remove those items"
>>47787I think it's only armor that can have Shadow.
…But if not, I'll gladly load Tracy up with magick socks, panties, garters., etc.
>>47786Depends on the circumstances. Is one hiding under their table at a noisy tavern? Is it on a barren street while the person is busy heading somewhere or other?
>HecatoncheiresWhich part?
>>47789>not dimensionalYes they are
>>47785>excited dwelf noises
*carefully hides items in room's dresser drawers, placing books about Football and Income Tax over top to deter Tracy from rummaging*
>>47790>covering up a pony with pantiesHARAM
>>47791*Is now wondering what is going on*
>>47791>Which part?The part about the blood-forged weapons.
Is deity blood a special material for craft? Refer to:
>>47417 →I was wondering if Tracy could use Kefka's body parts to make a special weapon later on, because that monster description implied that it had properties that made it deadly to some monsters.
I thought it'd make a great tempering fluid for an awesome mace or sword.
>>47792>talks about sharing loot
>>47794Yeah, I thought about that right after I posted it.
Uh...Tracy can buy horses with some of it I guess
>>47795I'm in no hurry.
Just don't get bent out of shape if I want to take other things.
>>47793First off, they're not immune. Heca,... those things regenerate against any weapon
other than blood-forged or Good-aligned weapons. For two, those things are OP AF. I'm a little astonished that someone bothered to create them
and then make them official.
Having said, maybe but IDK. Its not something I expected to have to consider.
>>47792Several things. Currently Thez is wearing a simple monk's fighting outfit (a Gi, for the martial artists in the periphery). As a monk, she takes penalties if she wears armor or is otherwise encumbered, but an article like a robe can be utilized without penalties. For two, Thez is a knob about some things, and is planning for carrying all the material components (that she doesn't need) that she'll need as a sorcerer.
>>47797Um, okay. What's the rating on her amulet of the mighty fists, and/or does she have an extra lying around?
>>47796>If I want to take other thingsThe only reason I thought to hide it was because of the possibility that
all of it would fall in the "I take things I don't actually want just because klepto"
>>47797Since it's the blood of a Chaotic Ebil demigod, I thought it'd make for a ebin murder-mace, maybe with specific powers, if I can find the time for her to work on it.
> I'm a little astonished that someone bothered to create them and then make them official. something I expected to have to consider.Ikr. Epin-level monsters are terrifying. Some are even rank-0 deities, like Phaethons, Atropals, or Infernals: all apocalypse-tier.
>>47798The amulet is part of her belt and can't be removed, along with the amulet of non-detection. Its an heirloom item associated with mastery of her former/native Monk monastery. She doesn't have an extra, and its +5 (meaning, requiring at least a 15th level caster, and 50 days to fabricate).
>>47799Just one of those - which aren't unique creatures - could easily walk through most of the Infernal lords. Soros would get his ass handed to him for example.
>>47800It looks to me like the publications for epic-level monsters, classes and spells were mostly made for high-level campaigns that focused on insane missions, like theomachia or apocalypse-reversal, from what I've gathered. Even the existance of Abominations seems to be put in the game for "let's go kill a literal god" kind of campaigns.
>>47801Well, the challenge ratings are based off "The level that a 4-player party would theoretically need to be to vanquish". Hecs are 57th? Absurd. Thez only got where she's at because she spent an excessive amount of time soloing and not sharing xp. I can't imagine ranking
4 players to that point,
let alone past it.
>>47802It has superior multi-weapon fighting, and it has a
hundred arms. Nothing but an actual god of war, with 50 ranks in Fighter (maybe, if he's lucky) could best it in combat.
It's based off of those mythical ancient greek primordial giants who lived before the gods or even the titans: they could tear mountains in two with their strength.
>>47803It's based off of dark and elder things alright, but I don't think Greek mythology is the closest comparison
>>47803The other ebin monsters are freaky too.
An Atropal is like every abortion every woman ever had, coming back for revenge on the living. Infernals eat Balors and Pit Fiends' faces as an afternoon snack. A Phaethon is like a walking nuclear explosion.
>>47804>The Hecatoncheires were giant creatures in Greek mythology. Their name means "hundred - handed ones", and apart from a hundred hands of unfathomable strength, they also had fifty heads.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hecatoncheires
>>47804>(1)Wait, who's speaking now?
>>47803Right. Meaning, the party would pretty much have to have divine rank of their own in order to concern themselves with it, unless it was used as a Deus Ex Machina-type, story that isn't so much vanquished as it is defeated, sealed, cast into other realms, etc. As a looming (pun intended) threat, sure but as a legit fight? I say again, absurd.
>>47808According to wiki sources, they're the oldest Abominations: born of proto-deities early in the multiverse's history. They're older than most gods, unlike most other Abominations, who are usually the offspring of gods.
>>47807Nobully; it could be Lenos, it could be Anon
griffonfilly, it could be Sad Alex, Taylor, or any number of possibilities.
>>47809Again, I'm just seeing something absurd that no reasonable party could/would ever think of actually trying to kill, and if they
are I question their creativity as players and that of the GM, as well as the authenticity and legitimacy of their campaign desu.
We were talking about God-granted quests earlier; this is a
God quest.
>>47808>party would pretty much have to have divine rank of their own in order to concern themselves with itYeah. It looks like a challenge for a team of Divine Minions, with Epic Prestige classes.
>>47810>God questDo you mean God Quest as in instant-Geas, or God Quest as in "prove yourself!" ?
>>47811I mean a quest
for Gods
>>47812Ah.
Yeah, and not just rank 1-5 demigods like Kefka; actual gods.
>>47803>>47803>>47809>>47811>>47813For you:
Nyarlathotep . . . the crawling chaos . . . I am the last . . . I will tell the audient void. . . .
I do not recall distinctly when it began, but it was months ago. The general tension was horrible. To a season of political and social upheaval was added a strange and brooding apprehension of hideous physical danger; a danger widespread and all-embracing, such a danger as may be imagined only in the most terrible phantasms of the night. I recall that the people went about with pale and worried faces, and whispered warnings and prophecies which no one dared consciously repeat or acknowledge to himself that he had heard. A sense of monstrous guilt was upon the land, and out of the abysses between the stars swept chill currents that made men shiver in dark and lonely places. There was a daemoniac alteration in the sequence of the seasons—the autumn heat lingered fearsomely, and everyone felt that the world and perhaps the universe had passed from the control of known gods or forces to that of gods or forces which were unknown.
And it was then that Nyarlathotep came out of Egypt. Who he was, none could tell, but he was of the old native blood and looked like a Pharaoh. The fellahin knelt when they saw him, yet could not say why. He said he had risen up out of the blackness of twenty-seven centuries, and that he had heard messages from places not on this planet. Into the lands of civilisation came Nyarlathotep, swarthy, slender, and sinister, always buying strange instruments of glass and metal and combining them into instruments yet stranger. He spoke much of the sciences—of electricity and psychology—and gave exhibitions of power which sent his spectators away speechless, yet which swelled his fame to exceeding magnitude. Men advised one another to see Nyarlathotep, and shuddered. And where Nyarlathotep went, rest vanished; for the small hours were rent with the screams of nightmare. Never before had the screams of nightmare been such a public problem; now the wise men almost wished they could forbid sleep in the small hours, that the shrieks of cities might less horribly disturb the pale, pitying moon as it glimmered on green waters gliding under bridges, and old steeples crumbling against a sickly sky.
I remember when Nyarlathotep came to my city—the great, the old, the terrible city of unnumbered crimes. My friend had told me of him, and of the impelling fascination and allurement of his revelations, and I burned with eagerness to explore his uttermost mysteries. My friend said they were horrible and impressive beyond my most fevered imaginings; that what was thrown on a screen in the darkened room prophesied things none but Nyarlathotep dared prophesy, and that in the sputter of his sparks there was taken from men that which had never been taken before yet which shewed only in the eyes. And I heard it hinted abroad that those who knew Nyarlathotep looked on sights which others saw not.
It was in the hot autumn that I went through the night with the restless crowds to see Nyarlathotep; through the stifling night and up the endless stairs into the choking room. And shadowed on a screen, I saw hooded forms amidst ruins, and yellow evil faces peering from behind fallen monuments. And I saw the world battling against blackness; against the waves of destruction from ultimate space; whirling, churning; struggling around the dimming, cooling sun. Then the sparks played amazingly around the heads of the spectators, and hair stood up on end whilst shadows more grotesque than I can tell came out and squatted on the heads. And when I, who was colder and more scientific than the rest, mumbled a trembling protest about “imposture” and “static electricity”, Nyarlathotep drave us all out, down the dizzy stairs into the damp, hot, deserted midnight streets. I screamed aloud that I was not afraid; that I never could be afraid; and others screamed with me for solace. We sware to one another that the city was exactly the same, and still alive; and when the electric lights began to fade we cursed the company over and over again, and laughed at the queer faces we made.
I believe we felt something coming down from the greenish moon, for when we began to depend on its light we drifted into curious involuntary formations and seemed to know our destinations though we dared not think of them. Once we looked at the pavement and found the blocks loose and displaced by grass, with scarce a line of rusted metal to shew where the tramways had run. And again we saw a tram-car, lone, windowless, dilapidated, and almost on its side. When we gazed around the horizon, we could not find the third tower by the river, and noticed that the silhouette of the second tower was ragged at the top. Then we split up into narrow columns, each of which seemed drawn in a different direction. One disappeared in a narrow alley to the left, leaving only the echo of a shocking moan. Another filed down a weed-choked subway entrance, howling with a laughter that was mad. My own column was sucked toward the open country, and presently felt a chill which was not of the hot autumn; for as we stalked out on the dark moor, we beheld around us the hellish moon-glitter of evil snows. Trackless, inexplicable snows, swept asunder in one direction only, where lay a gulf all the blacker for its glittering walls. The column seemed very thin indeed as it plodded dreamily into the gulf. I lingered behind, for the black rift in the green-litten snow was frightful, and I thought I had heard the reverberations of a disquieting wail as my companions vanished; but my power to linger was slight. As if beckoned by those who had gone before, I half floated between the titanic snowdrifts, quivering and afraid, into the sightless vortex of the unimaginable.
Screamingly sentient, dumbly delirious, only the gods that were can tell. A sickened, sensitive shadow writhing in hands that are not hands, and whirled blindly past ghastly midnights of rotting creation, corpses of dead worlds with sores that were cities, charnel winds that brush the pallid stars and make them flicker low. Beyond the worlds vague ghosts of monstrous things; half-seen columns of unsanctified temples that rest on nameless rocks beneath space and reach up to dizzy vacua above the spheres of light and darkness. And through this revolting graveyard of the universe the muffled, maddening beating of drums, and thin, monotonous whine of blasphemous flutes from inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond Time; the detestable pounding and piping whereunto dance slowly, awkwardly, and absurdly the gigantic, tenebrous ultimate gods—the blind, voiceless, mindless gargoyles whose soul is Nyarlathotep.

Funny story! Apparently I was supposed to work this morning, but due to a miscommunication (rather, my lack of seeking confirmation) I got my first no-call, no-show of my whole LIFE today,.... Also I'm back for the duration (weekend).
>>47825Fug... Sorry, m8..
>>47825I can imagine how much that sucksI wish I had a job...
>>47826Its actually not a big deal. I'm on light duty or injury, and I have an absolutely spotless record otherwise (in 3 years I've called in once) and my boss knows it, and lack of communication has never even been a consideration. In fact, while I've neglected it in recent months, I used to have a monthly e-mail correspondence with my boss just because I have serious social anxiety but am full of emergent ideas, many of which have helped to improve and shape aspects of the company's position and performance. For example, I introduced him to Simon Sinek, which has had a tangible impact (I wonder if corporate and foremen might have gone to one of his seminars?) on the overview of the company. I can get away with it scot-free in this case because I'm the fukkin' man at my job
>>47822Ill give you what i cant eat.
>>47828Red pill your boss.
>>47830I'm working on it, but this is an ultra-rural community that doesn't take kindly to anyone who isn't a 3rd+ generation of the "hooplah" family.
>>47833Oh, don't even get me started, its part of my diabolical 1488 scheme. Major cities are largely lost. Its largely (only?) by fomenting the awareness
and viability (economically, socially, etc.) of smaller communities that the white race has any chance at all desu. These are communities that
its not too late to redpill on muslims (not exclusively) and who havve EVERY incentive to avoid and act against further decay of the US.
Will we be playing tonight?
Tracy feeds her birds again.
>>47838They're getting kinda big. They're about 12' sitting down, (cuz there's not much mass to the legs) and they're beginning to show coloration. One (I forget the name at the moment and I'll lose focus if I look it up, but its within the theme) is beginning to show an almost fluorescence, trending toward violet or blue.
>>47839"Who's a pretty ~birdie?"
*gently pets fluff*
They were named Sammy and Bunny.
They show the dopiest enthusiasm before Tracy even enters the room. They can't smell or "specifically" detect that its Tracy, but there's a consistency to her presentation. Preceeding Tracy's arrival would be a series of incredibly minute details that would otherwise go unnoticed to a conscious biped (read: hooman) but which animals take to readily. This is why I contest the intelligence scale wrt animals, but I digress. I do admit that there is a significant possibility that atypical stats, behavior, intelligence, etc. that is observable IRL animals might not exclusive to "player" interaction. Simply, I've always observed highly intelligent dogs, cats, etc. Having said, I have always (almost) observed them amongst exceptional individuals.
>>47834>tfw when no QT 3.14 aryan gf
>>47841So each of those birds which Tracy got for free are not only able to almost equal Fae in one on one combat, but they're magic beasts as well?
>>47843Dont even starr bro. Some of us Dont have any animal companions
And you got fae for free.
>>47841Tracy dumps out out her bag of ground elephant meat a lightly-cooked egg yolks and watches happily as they eat, with a slight blush about her cheeks.
>>47843>magicalNo. Rocs are animals. You're thinking of Giant Eagles.
GM just thinks animals are smarter than the game-makers give them credit for, and is building character in their subtle responses.
>>47844Go talk to your doggo.
>>47844A Paladin's mount is an essential feature of the class, and a Dragonne is a CR 7 with 19 strength, whereas a Roc is a CR 9 with 34 strength and is two size categories larger with corresponding increases in damage
>>47845I probably cant. The juice are blocking hitler.
>>47843Not hardly. They're dopey, clumsy, and awkward. They're a liability in combat. But they are cute, if not ginormous.
>>47842Desu, my mate is not aryan. She
is of royal, "pacific" ancestry though. Xp
>>47845>doggoThis. If I wanted to be authentic, he'd have pissed and shit on everything cuz "is he even let outside?". Mental note, have Bones check on him 3x a day, just in case.
What Infernius now has is a tiny dog that 'almost' pees its self whenever he shows up, but doesn't know how to calm down.
>>47845>Go talk to your DoggoThis. Alejandro Menendez-Alvaro needs attention
>>47846The standard mount for a paladin is a heavy warhorse: you got an upgrade. She even speaks common and as class levels.

Then see if he's worth Awakening.
>>47850Don't give animals names they can't remember. His name is Sparkle.
>>47851I dont think you understand the kikes are blocking hitlers powers i dont even know how i can still use healing magic.
>>47853>kikes are blocking hitlers powersSince when? You were able to break Thez's petrification.
>>47853>>47854They're not blocking his power, they're blocking his communication.
>>47854Gm said they were.
>>47851True, but she's still only CR10ish after features, not a match for two CR 9s
>names they can't rememberOh please. Alejandro Menendez-Alvaro is easily remembered
>>47857>not a matchIt's not a contest.
>>47855Why wouldn't they block his powers too?
>>47855When did this start?
>>47859Because I had dubs for one. For two, because Hitler is too awesome and undeniable. His blessings cannot be blocked by kikes, even if his words might be suppressed.
>>47860This started back when I was first called to speak for the Fuhrer and balked cuz mein deutsch ist schrect and cuz I don't feel I could accurately portray him as a god.

>>47873I'm not opposed to tropical Rocs. It fits their theme.
>>47872Unfortunately he's not on at all at the moment. He was on earlier today though
>>47874Wrong. Just, wrong. Rocs are cold weather animals and anything else just ain't right
>>47877>Rocs are cold weather animalsDid you read the Legend Of Sinbad? They would've lived around the Indian Ocean.
>>47878But they lived in high up mountains, which would be cold

I mean i already know that hitler wants infernuis baby dead.
>>47879Then I guess it's just magick then.
>>47881Nah, it's because the plumage if the younger animals is lighter than that of mature adults
>>47880Oh hush. He only commanded her to take a shower? Has she even showered once thus far? Hell, I should probably take a shower
>>47885You could cast Augury to get the correct interpretation.
>>47886You also have that Phylactery of faithfulness.
>>47887>>47886Atlas would need to be online for that.
>>47888Trips confirm...

>Skills: For each skill in which either the master or the familiar has ranks, use either the normal skill ranks for an animal of that type or the master’s skill ranks, whichever are better. In either case, the familiar uses its own ability modifiers. Regardless of a familiar’s total skill modifiers, some skills may remain beyond the familiar’s ability to use.So, what does this mean?
>>47930Ah, that clears it up.
Where is everyone?
>>47912I realized I haven't been applying Tracy's Int modifier to any of her Search checks.

>>47974"Excellent choice. May I ask what prompted your decision to seek formal attire?"
>>47975*looks at pony, unsure of what to say at first*
"Clothing is a signal of your position within society and your relation to it. That's why even ponies wear it sometimes. It's not that I don't want to show off what underneath"
>>47976"Isn't that what cutie marks are for?"
*Wiggles rump*
>>47977"Cutie marks are similar, but clothing also marks occasions and earned rank"
*rubs cute little pony cutie marks, which seems to have evolved slightly from a "Vampire's Kiss" appearance, to a more refined "Lord of War" Cage"
>>47976"Well me want to look nice for thez"
*blushes*
>>47979"D'aww. A suit can do that. You always want to look your best when taking the girl to the dance - or carrying her across the threshold"

>>47995"If you'd like."
>>47995>>47992"I mean, it's not like we killed four lichs two days ago and all four will respawn within a few days if they haven't already. It's not like Dimensional anchor has a limited period of time it's active, and it's not like we've got a hell of a lot more rooms to clear before we get to the center of the nest. By all means, take your time. Do your shopping now. The enemy will be grateful"
>>47997"You have point."
>>47996"Can we wait untill after invasion? Or is it urgent?"
>>47998"I guess it could wait, but we won't be able to do any further damage to the temple. No new access points if needed."
>>47998"Infernius, when this city was attacked, it was attacked by a wide number of varieties of undead with four lichs visibly leading. It was organized by someone larger, more powerful, with many underlings. Thus far in the Pyramid we have encountered Allips, varg-thingies, wraiths, and what seemed to be an independently acting mummy lord. We haven't yet encountered even the beginning of who organized this attack. But don't think for a moment their leaders are not in there.
How long do you think it will be before they realize we've penetrated their citadel - they probably already have. Do you think that maybe they are just waiting until sunset - and sun light is toxic to many undead - to lead a forary into town to terroize and kill? Do you think they may come up with the idea to set a trap for us in the pyramid? How long do you think it will be before one of them realizes that all they have to do is get a high level spell caster to cast "dispell magic" to break the dimensional anchor and teleport away from us. Unless of course,
they want to be in the harbor. Time is of the essence"
"We know who is behind attack, the kikes."

>>48005"Is this the part where I ask not what my country can do for me, but what can I do for my country?"
>>48006"That's the spirit!
Perchance do you want to wear a cloak of resistance? It can help protect you from curses and effects many of these undead have."
>>48007"Considering I don't really feel like dieing again? Sure, thanks Trump."
>>48005"Protection of the entire white race is my priority. Not just tge aryans."

"I do too...

>>48017>>48016"I sometimes really hate you both"
>>48018*hugs imagined representation of his lost comrade*
"I hate you too buddy" *sniff* "I hate you too"
>>48018Alright. Because Snek would be neither rigid nor would his body weight be localized during a "Snek strike", I'm thinking that it would be ineffective as a melee attack, but
would allow Snek to grapple as a free action upon contact.

>>48023"That gust of wind just now, it sounded loke a bitch."
>>48025"I know, I watched it happen. It was tragically comical. But then he was back alive again."

*whispers*
"Go with it."
>>48030"I heard that you bitch"

>>48043"Then why a suit? Why not rhinoplasty?"
"I'm kidding!"
>>48044"Heh good one."
*rubs muzzle*
>>48045"So what kind of suit? A duck suit? A swim suit?"
>>48046"A nice German made suit."
"Hugo BOSS"
>>48047"So a suit, or a
uniform? I understand Hugo Boss designed the nazi uniforms,...."
>>48048"Both. Um thez how do you feel about me still being Nazi?"
>>48049She shrugs. "I don't really have an opinion about it. I've been reading more of Rockwell, and I highly approve of his position thus far."
>>48050"Um thez will you teach me to read?"
>>48050"Rockwell is best."
>>48051>>48052She gasps at this, covering her mouth with both hands. "You mean,... but don't you carry around Mein Kampf? She continues to hold him, murmuring softly before saying, "Naturally."
"Thanks," she mutters softly, and not in a sarcastic or shitposting tone.
>>48055"Me tired."

"You want lay down with me?"
>>48056Her eyebrow twitches. "Do we
have to lay down tho?"
>>48057"We dont have to just lay down."
>>48058"Heeeeeee," she intones with a hint of lewdness to her voice.
Its pretty obvious where its going from there. "One quick question. Do you like me better
with scales, or without?"
>>48059"Me like you gray. It hot."
>>48060"I was more asking about texture than pallor."
>>48061"Scales did feel nice."
>>48062"Good to know," she says smiling and booping him.
>>48063*boop of opportunity*
"Thez how would you feel if me turned into earth pony?"
>>48064She mutters something about him being trans now.
"Just kidding. Seriously, I don't know. Wouldn't that limit the number and types of items at your disposal?"
>>48065"Meh it just idea me have floating around for awhile."
>>48066"You're not gonna try for Paladin Mount too are you?" she teases.

>>48097That reminds me. Part of the reason that enemies are always coming to you (the party) is because exploration has been less feasible. The Tower is slow AF, and going on foot or flying/running on air is exhausting and inefficient. Additionally, this particular set of encounters (the pyramid etc.) is a consequence of escaping Court City without burning it to the ground desu. Lastly, its my job to find a way to rob the party of any peace that I can, and I shall do my duty.

(I was greedy and asked for an ebin headband, but ebin because that's too haxx). I just never asked what the Int bonus was (+2, +4, or +6), because I've been a massive idiot and haven't been applying her Int bonus to Search checks and whatnot.
Also, how much glass did she collect? The hole in the temple is big enough for Tracy to walk through at full size, so there had to be a lot of shards.
>>48105Nope, its like safety glass, tiny pebbles. And I'm not just saying that cuz I don't want to worry about what Tracy would do with ebin glass pieces.
>>48098Well exploration should be easier now cause airship.
Actually, I think Torc is the most traveled of the party.
>>48106>I don't want to worry about what Tracy would do with ebin glass piecesGlue the pieces together to make an ebin glass sword, of course, like in Skyrim.
I guess I'll just have her blow another whole in the temple later...
*collects tiny pebbles in sack*
>>48107>airshipPrecisely. By the way, Torcuil had previously disengaged the faulty cannon from the mechanism on the ship. There's only one volley remaining though.
>>48109Oh so I could still fire volleys, okay.
How does it reload?
>>48110By turning the mechanism. The ejection, reloading, and firing of the cannons is all mechanically integrated to the hand-crank. It was designed so that a person could obliterate any aggressors without putting their drink down.
>>48111And that means we're almost out of shells...
I take it gnomes have the power to make more?
>>48108Glass hammer could be useful too though.
>>48114*meticulously gathers pebbles into one giant sack*
Also, the reason that the airship cannons are the only thing that can damage the glassteel is because A: the walls are thick AF, and B. because they fire at a much higher velocity than standard cannons or the employed magics. Glassteel is remarkably temperature-resilient, quickly diffusing any extreme irregularities.
Tl;dr You gotta use armor piercing rounds.
>>48114Axes or maces would be the easiest to make, given the size of the particles.
>>48116>you gotta use armor peircingWhat about armor peircing, that explode?

>>48117Talk to the Gnomes
>>48108It might work as a Maquahuitl
>>48116We have some Sovereign Glue, so I guess a glassteel mace or hammer could be made over the course of a couple days.
Would the
Make Whole Spell be able to fuse particles together?
Also, Since it's only half as heavy as steel, could Tracy make a Yuge-sized hammer and still wield it without penalty?
>>48118You mean like those Mayan sword-clubs?
>>48119>Make WholeGood thinking, but not in this case. The damage results in both warping and melting of the glass, in addition to being reduced to fine pieces.
>>48119I desire a glassteel claymore. I will discover da wey to make one, one day.>>48121Awww...
>>48122You need ebola to Kno de wey
>>48121Well, I'll have Tracy make the hammer first. Then I'll see if she can use that to break other chuncks off later on.

>>48130I don't believe so. I cannot imagine prioritizing repairs over destroying the phylacteries of three lichs
>>48131So the town is still destroyed?
>>48131Yeah, you would never do that
>>48132The only significant damage to the Port was at the main gate. The undead focused on attacking the ppl, not the structures.
>>48132The town is less damaged than it was in the demonic invasion since the brothel was the only area inside of the town that was firmly penetrated, and since fires were not started
Alright.
Let's just wait for Infernius.

>>48137E X T R A T H I C C

>>48139What are you thinking? e_e
>>48140.... I was estimating how many cubic feet of precious glassteel pebbles would've been dumped into the temple from a hole that was 16 by 16 ft...
>>48141I'm gonna guess, a lot of them.
Anyone want another hole for entry?
>>48142Svae it for later. I might want to target the edge of the hole, to see if bigger chunks could come off.
>>48143Yeah I was kinda thinking that too
>>48141Plenty. More than can be carried effectively by one person (or pony).
>>48145Tracy dumps the sacks off gravel in her bag of holding and saddlebags,m and makes rounds to her room as she waits for Infernius to arrive.
Oh hush, the hole isn't really that big. Tracy's faggottry is just taking the "16 feet" mention to seriously
>>48149Why you exaggerate even things like carrying capacity?
>>48150>A light load for a cauchemar is up to 612 pounds; a medium load, 613–1,224 pounds; and a heavy load, 1,225–1,840 pounds. It's the same reason why she's able to move at full speed while carrying Trumpaladin in heavy armor.
>>48153She ain't a cauchenar at at will

>>48154Let GM decide when she is and isn't.
>>48156It was already decided. Months ago. You just refuse to acknowledge it
>>48157Then why are you deleting it so incessantly?
>>48156Because you go beyond established limits incessantly
>>48159It's not your place to enforce rules of this game.
And since when is she not able to transform on her own? She's only at full-power when ridden, but she can still transform.
>>48160She's never been able to transform into a
31 strength Cauchemar on her own
>>48160>Not your place to enforce rulesIt's not your place to constantly willfully break them
>>48161Carrying capacity is not all about strength.
And regardless, that doesn't excuse you deleting things on your own accord.
>>48163>>48161Even if she were only as strong as a heavy warhorse, she could still drag 4,500 pounds.
And why do you care so much about what she can carry?
>>48164She doesn't have a literal ton of carry capacity and you are not excused for ignoring the limits previously established
>>48166>limits previously establishedWhat limits are you referring to? How were they worded?
I don't need your permission every time she does something.
>>48163Actually, that's kind of Tracy's gimmick by now
>>48164Technically, it is in a comparable manner
>>48165Wut? No.
Wait, no, that's correct.
>>48165Because it's enough that you're evidently being allowed to craft out of glass steel and a very large quantity of it at that, even though it's not a listed weapon making material
>>48170It's listed in other publications. I know it's weight and hardness.
If she's even as big as a regular horse, she'd be able to carry most of it back by herself.
>>48168It's Tracy's faggot's gimic
>>48167When there's no rules to it it ceases to be a game at all. There's no challenge or strategy or thought to it, just making up new superpowers every hour

>>48170Neither is "Mythrium", which is what Sugoito is made of,....
>>48171Its not a question of weight, its a question of volume. I suppose it could all fit in the broom closet tho.
>>48172What he means - I assume, cuz its all I'll allow - is that when in full Cauchemar form, Tracy would be able to
carry 1400lbs (including Trump), or
drag 4200 lbs (with NO carried weight).
In Heavy Warhorse form (agitated/combat) she has appropriate weight limits and such (I'll look it up later), and likewise for base pony form.
Warhorse form is like a berserk rage though, and can't be maintained for a duration.
The penalties for a heavy load are pretty extensive though
>>48175I'm not the one who's censoring other players' comments and acting like he's enforcing the rules of the game.

>>48176>Warhorse formWait, do you mean the hybrid form where she's just a blue horse, or the form where she has a regular nightmare's abilities?
>>48183How many forms does she have? As I recall:
Pony form
Flaming Warhorse form
Cauchemar form
>>48184I put 17 ranks into Control Shape so she could transform at will and have a hybrid shape. I've been operating under the assumption that it was:
>pony form>Warhorse form>Cauchemar form (nerfed stats)>Cauchemar form (complete stats)
>>48185That's way too confusing. I'm of the mind that since she's had the (((essence))) extracted from her, she loses the nerfed Cauchemar form. She can still catch fire in Warhorse form if she wants tho.
>>48185Shit, it may have been 9 ranks, let me find my sheet..
>>48186I've been treating her ability like unnatural lycanthropy thus far.

>>48188What do those ranks in Control Shape account for then?
>>48191>it doesn't conceal her normallyWhat's the difference in concealment?

>>48192Being able to still go Warhorse form.
>>48193Before, the smoke naturally occurred around her granting concealment at 5' and 10' (partial/full), but she could also blow smoke at an enemy. Now she can only blow it at the enemy (meaning, she could partially/totally conceal herself from 1-2 opponents, but not all those around her in a circumference). Unless full Cauchemar
>>48195Nightmares are really well-built monsters. They're bred for strength and vigor.
>>48196... So she can't use it to pull a Korak and shoot bolts/shurikens from concealment anymore?
>>48195Nightmare is for rough sexual
>>48197 She could if she blew at the target first. You don't have to have concealment from
everyone to do a sneak attack, just the victim.
*finishes carrying glass*
>>48198Alright. The cone lasts a round, so it should be able to work.
I'll just carry a bunch of smokebombs and drop them all over the place from now on.
>>48199Actually, that darkness kunai thing was brilliant
>>48200She can see through smoke, but the Darkness obscures even her darkvision, so it's ony good for getaway's, unless I have her take Blindfight..
Dropping an object is a free action, and smokebombs aren't expensive.
>>48201Is lighting a smokebomb a swift action or a standard action?
>>48201>Claiming more Sus when you've just been given one that stacks with and makes infinitely more effective a class ability\r
>>48202How is one lighting it?
>>48196How is this anything other than letting every single attack in all combat be a sneak attack with a free action?
>>48206Its only usable once/round. Best case scenario. she gets an additional sneak attack.
>>48207That's an additional at least one sneak attack every single round though.
The boots of the wolf only let you flank once per encounter, and the cape presumably only lets you execute the manuever when you first draw the pistols, so about once per encounter. But this is 9d6 extra damage
every single round of any encounter. 30+ additional damage every single round. For free. With no strategy, just using haxx to exploit a class feature to the etreme.
>>48208Smite evil only gives 17 damage per attack, less than half sneak attack damage. And that's limited to 4 uses a day
>>48205... shit, I didn't think of that..
How does Ponimaru light his?
>>48201On second thought, that'd look dumb and be retarded...
>>48206With a ring of Invisibility, you could Sneak Attack as many times as you wanted.
>>48209It's great for killing fiends and undead though.
Can't Sneak Attack the undead at all...
>>48207I could ask for an additional 9d6 damage on the first attack in every single round of combat... But what would be the point? You look at an enemy and *poof* they're dead. No strategy, no clever moves. No real chance of dying, being defeated and losing. No sense of accomplishment up winning. No comparing your results to people in other campaigns. Just attack an enemy, and they're dead. Why fight enemies at all?
>>48211Invisibility spell ends when you attack an enemy
>>48213>Why fight enemies at all?To steal their loot, of course.
Thieves ftw
>>48214And that's another thing. What's the point of loot if what you already have or can make yourself quickly is better than what you can steal? You lose all of the Christmas Morning excitement
>>48215Because, you know what you're getting with crafting.
The excitement is getting something you didn't even think about, but can use all the same
What happens to a party memeber's dead body when they reappear in the enteron?
E.G: Trump bleeds out and revives. Does his body *poof* into smoke just leaving gear, or does it stay there?
>>48215The good shit doesn't get made quickly. Thez has been waiting since she became hooman (ish) again to unveil her Amulet of Natural Armor. Fuggin' DAYS
>>48215>What's the point of loot if what you already have or can make yourself quickly is better than what you can steal? The thrill of stealing things, and stabbing enemies.
Also, craft takes weeks, while stabbing is a standard action. Rogues don't have magick either.
>>48219There's no thrill of stabbing or stealing if there's no challenge to it and no need for strategy
>>48217It either gets eaten by monsters, or liquidated by the rest of the party.
>>48220Quantity.
If there's no challenge, keep doing it until you've got moar shekels than you can count. Then spend the shekels on cool stuff that makes it more efficient to kill more people and steal more stuff. Acquire wealth and power.
>>48221Oh no, if the bodies stay I have an idea.
>>48222That entirely eliminates an entire pillar of the game by making combat meaningless except as money farming. Like why the hell not just lend out money at interest if that is your goal?
You're killing the fun by cheating everything
>>48217That's tricky, and its not as simple as you might think. I'd answer more fully, but no spoilers. ^_^
>>48224Don't get robbed again myah,....
>>48224I like stabbing things.

>You're killing the funYou don't have to stab if it's not any fun for you.
>>48224>Like why the hell not just lend out money at interestNobody to lend to, and I'd rather spend it on better swag.
>>48226Then why do you need haxx like free-action every-round smoke screen
>>48227What swag? All swag is combat based, but the cheats you use for combat just makes it meaningless
>>48228I'm sure there will come a point where we can spend money.
The whole Port is still almost broke btw. We still need to get back the shekels that were stolen.
>>48228>every-round smoke screenMore efficient stabbing.
