Something tells me that the commie ponies are in a more perilous situation than the Navy ponies, and that even then the Navy ponies are probably not at the lighthouse.
>>183068Yeah, a mysterious
Also, of the navy ponies are at the lighthouse, they probably won't freeze to death. Heck, they could stay in there for days or even weeks. Lighthouses are cozy.
Maybe we should go save the commies.
>>183073>Yeah, a mysterious*A mysterious radio call is a classic hook for a party to divert its course
It's hard to tell which is more time sensitive. If we lose even one airpony because of the diversion I would count that as a failure. But, I don't want to miss the chance to investigate either.
In character: Posey wants to find the airponies and get paid
Out of character: saving the commies could be fun
Also, depending on what that ship was transporting, there could be treasure.
>>183095Yeah, but the radio did start making noise as we went towards the light house, so...I say we check out what the commies are doing.
Maybe we help them.
Maybe we kill them.
Either way, it sounds like there's an encounter waiting for us.
>>183095She freezes.
"Not get caught doing what?">>183095Seems like the communists are in between us and the objective. We should at least investigate on the way.

>>183101"I suppose…" she relents with a sigh.
"Some ponies just act so strangely. Can you believe one of my co-workers made a bet that I would fall in love with a zebra? Really!" Her muzzle scrunches in vexation.
>>183102"Heh heh, what? I don't suppose you have. This, colt. He's not a zebra, right?"
She stands up, and looking back towards Amber
"And don't be so closed minded. What is wrong with dating a zebra? I've never done it, to be sure, but I don't see what the problem would be."
>>183103"What, no–"Her mouth gapes open in shock.
"But, but, they're not ponies. They come from far away, they look so different, they eat strange foods, and-and they are often rude and smell bad too. I've never heard anypony say there's no problems to it before." >>183104Somewhere in the distance, a zebra raises his head as he takes a pause from the grass he's munching at his hooves. Over the sounds of a unicorn and a bap yelling at each other over Zanit knows what, he thought he heard something. Eh, must have been the wind. He returns to his snack while he waits to hear what the others are doing.

From the ether, two more creatures start to materialize, standing in front of Posey. There are tall, fat, and with arms that hang low to the ground. They assemble as if from the mist itself.
>>183352Of all the time to be struggle snuggling
>>183352>ugly bastards from beyond the voidPosey would be into this, if she weren't so bloodthirsty right now.
Are they in melee range?
>>183348Kira lets out a series of frightened expletives in her native language before drawing three arrows and wheeling around to get a better view of the enemies. She targets the centipede currently being grappled by the far more brace bat with precise shots, firing two arrows with her first draw at once, then the third arrow on her second draw.

Roll Damage
>>183348>>183356Cavaliere holds out his masterwork revolver at foreleg's length and shoots the centipede that Brie is grappling with. Because he has the Precise Shot feat, he doesn't take a -4 penalty.
[1d20+8 = (14+8) = 22]He shouts to Posey,
"You might want to ease off on the taunting until we understand what we're dealing with!"After shooting the centipede, he moves back until it's just within his first range increment.
>>183329You missed me
>>183331They're colored for me
>>183333Unlike with attacks, natural 20s don't have any special meaning with initiative. Also check'd
Terrible waste of quads>>183337A map
would be useful, if only for positioning knowledge. Did I mention Ilwinter's map designer is really cheap and easy to use?
>>183339>You want a centipede or a starfish?I want out of this buffet.
Also touching a centipede ewwwww>>183355You can combine multishot with precise shot?
>>183357Precise shot just means you don't suffer the usual -4 penalty on your attack roll when targeting an enemy engaged in melee.
>>183355>>183357"You don't get it! I have dealt with these kinds of abominations before. They will not relent until everything in every world is just as twisted as them, unless they are chased away outright. Violence is the only language that they understand."
This is MY world! No ayys welcome!
RAAAHOWThe Centipede rears upwards, and then down.
It slowly evaporates from Brie's grip, turning into a black mist that blows away in the wind
Posey's Turn
>>183357It would be better to have more precise positioning, but I'm not certain where much of the party is
The creatures are clearly targeting Posey especially, and also Silver, as the two are on opposed sides.
I fucked up again, forgive my transgressions.
>>183363Silver: "Then kill them already instead of making more of them!"
>>183364Wait, so the centipede is gone? That's what I was going to attack.
>>183367There's another centipede
What is in Posey's melee range?
>>183369One starfish. Let's say the other centipede
"Please stab it quickly, Ive seen plenty enough hentai to not want to be adjacent to,... this for too long."
Posey's unseen servant opens her back, and out pops her secret weapon: the Dread's that the demon priest created for her out of the severed arms of the diamond dogs.
They were technically supposed to be advanced to max HD, but I forgot to mod their statblocks, so whatever

>>183372Before you do, I would like to gently remind you that you are in the presence of creatures who would be very much freaked out by this display, and bluffing her way out of it would be very difficult to do.
>>183373Blah! I'll explain it later. We're fighting Lovecraftian horrors rn.
Silver's turn
>>183372GAAAH!
It recoils
>>183374>>183373And the fact that she spoke Abyssal right in front of everyone isn't a concern?
>>183375No, Im with him. You can go super saoyan when its needed
>>183376I didnt say hes making good choices, but Brie doesnt understand abysssal
>>183376>AbyssalI use Sanscrit for Infernal, like when she was petting the Yeth Hound
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/2R4GVkLys4w>>183377>super saoyanI'm only warning up
>>183376Posey's turn is over.
There's a bunch of saving throws to make though.
>>183364Kira: "I...I got one? I got one!"
>>183376Well, neither Silver nor Kira even know what that language was, so they wouldn't know that it's the language of demons or what have you.
Power Attack: Silver centers himself on his connection to the earth, and channels the strength of the world into an almighty blow to hopefully end this starfish's existence in this world. "
Leave this realm and return to your own!"
He raises his sword, and brings it down with enough might to crack and shatter the earth beneath the starfish.
Attack:
[1d20+6 = (14+6) = 20]Damage:
[2d6+20 = (6+20) = 26] Cavaliere smiles subtly as his shot blows one of the aberrations away into dust, but this lasts only a moment as he scowls when he sees Posey turn into some kind of infernal Transformer.
>>183376>And the fact that she spoke Abyssal right in front of everyone isn't a concern? It could've been an elective in high school. Sanskrit for infernal is quite suitable.
What would we use for Celestial? Ancient Celtic?Silver, Dust, please don't sleep yet. We need you.
>>183382>TransformerShe looks the same.
Well, she's got her Frightful Presence up, so she's got the fiery red aura of supernatural pain and fear, but otherwise she hasn't changed.
Dust's turn
One Starfish and one Centipede remains
>>183379Are you trying to argue "acshually it's not abyssal, it's a different language"? Because you used the lawful-aligned language to communicate with an entity explicitly described as chaotic?
>>183381Chyik yik yah!The sword slices right through the starfish, severing it in half. It starts to evaporate before it falls to the ground.
THE FUCK IS LAGGING EEEEE
>>183385>Because you used the lawful-aligned language to communicate with an entity explicitly described as chaotic?Yeah... I probably should have used Abyssal...
What language should I use to type abyssal?
>>183376Dust doesn't know wtf abyssal is. Hell, idk what the fuck abyssal is.
>>183385Dust looks around, trying to figure out what we're even dealing with. I'm gonna try to roll knowledge (religion) to see if Dust can determine anything about the nature of these creatures or their summoning. Outsiders? Undead? Cult summoned? Who knows!
[1d20+9 = (18+9) = 27]While he's trying to recognize anything, he casts bless with a short prayer to Aztarte for his allies.
Everyone but me is now getting +1 on all attacks and all saves against fear.
>>183388>Everyone but meBless includes you too. You are your own ally.
