Indeed.

"Well, I gotta exercise," Vir says. "See you later."

Vir says and starts walking in quick pace towards the back, in the assumption that she'll be able to navigate her way on her own to the garden.

She feels an incoming migraine as the soreness in her throat continues.

Okay, nerfings aside, I think Posey would want to try on the sea crown now. It's probably a bad idea, but I'm really curious.

Then he can tell that there's something deeply fucked up and evil about Posey's physiology and that she's keeping a horrible secret.
In hindsight, it might have something to do with the blood vomit and convulsions from earlier.
And now that he looks at it, her chest doesn't appear to be beating like a heart, but more like it's throbbing erratically.
I think at this point you're entitled to a spot check.

There are some dead plants, a cage to help tomatoes grow upright, some proper cages in the back for… peacocks? Anyways. There’s an open area of rocks to exercise in. hehe

Vir undresses and places the bundle of cloth that is her worn cloak on the floor before stepping into the open area.

She starts to run in place. Then she courches down before jumping higha few times. Feeling her breath now and some warmth in her joints. It wasn't hard to fan the engine since she'd already exerted herself while during the dip in Delamare river. She cringes a little, remembering that she called it the Delabear river during her talk with Heather.

Soon she's on the ground again. Doing some muscle exercises like push-ups and sit-ups but a pony version of that.

After really pushing herself to the limit with those exercises, she pants in tempo with any rock song, feel the sweat pour out across her body. Do ponies sweat? Searches. Apparently, so.It washes away the amoebas on her forehead, darken her vanilla-coffee-like fur in random huge patches, and makes her the immense volume of her vine-gummy red mane stick to her neck and flatten out.

Next up is the main course. Practicing her: Protective stances against imaginary opponents, punches and kicks, flips and rolls, and heavy attacks (full body swing kicks).

This takes about an hour and a half, and after this she finds herself laying on her side panting on repeat as stomach expands and collapses.

She can channel the flashes of pain that her visions of the past brings into her training to push her slightly more, however, she doesn't do this willingly, since it increases her desire for a drink. That too can be used to further push her in her training but again, the fallout of doing so is that now whatever pride she had about not asking for is all but gone.

Blowing it up with the airship components was my original plan for what Silver would want done with it, as I don't think there's a Curse Purge Plus or anything like that that can remove the cursed aspect of the crown. I know you really want Posey to have it, but there will be more opportunities to get safer, better loot, and the crown really is just too dangerous for anyone to have. Besides, this can be a pivotal moment in Posey's development as well, realizing when to let go.

If Posey is placing it in her head, the NPCs will cumulatively either destroy the crown, or die in the attempt. It isn’t being taken as a prize in that event.

It's simple, actually: become the crown's friend. A pony who spends time with the crown could bond with it and turn it into an intelligent legacy item, with a disposition friendly to that pony.

Sadly, I haven't seen that movie so that's all I take away from that.

"I could go for some te-"

Tea? Eeh, your actin' all grown-up again. I'll have soda thank you very much," Vir hears her filly-self say.

She and a two other fillies, a pale turquoise unicorn with an even paler hay-yellow for mane and a red Pegasus filly with a mane looking like it was made entirely of carrot peels sit around a small round table. The unicorn lifts the soda can with red juicy liquid with her hooves and pours some in Vir's cup.

"Well, I can try some tea, Hope's," says the red filly.

That's pointless though. Posey didn't put on the crown because she didn't know the consequences of putting on the crown. She put it on because Posey's player knew it was cursed and knew that it was a bad idea. This was intentional. It's like in movies or TV shows where a character can't die, so they openly defy death in a deliberate act of disrespect or daring. He built this frankenstien's monster character from a thousand third party source books and made it impossible to kill, so he'll basically just dare anything in the environment to kill him, however obvious. This isn't the first time he's done it either. He did it before with the poisoned flower.

I suppose the only proper solution is to let him lose the character, let the rest of the party kill the character, and then make him make a new character using only things that are in the SRD. But it's just so aggravating.

Posey doesn't have any kind of blanket immunity to curses or item-domination; just a high will save. She's just cocky, and she doesn't value her life; she's so desperate for power so that she can finally become a master. Also, she's always wanted a magical crown of her own.
Item domination isn't even a mind-affecting attack: Posey would be vulnerable to it even before she was nerfed.

What I mean by "the game as a whole" is that Posey keeping the crown will likely lead to a whole lot of OOC conflict between you and GM pone. No one wants that to happen, it brings down the mood in the entire thread and no one wants you to get disheartened and quit because of constant arguing.

If you really want an evil crown to be Posey's phylactery, then I would like to suggest a better alternative. Silver has basically poured all of skill points into Weaponsmithing and Armorsmithing, and I'm fairly certain that would translate into knowledge in forging a crown for Posey, one befitting her nature and her design. Posey could then, as she gains power and as she goes along, corrupt it into an evil artifact attuned specifically for her. To me that sounds like a really, really cool idea for Posey.

So! Brie has ALOT to think about going into THIS 'pause'.
Silver is per his usual self (a little naive and all, but respectably so)
Kira has some solid technique, there may be a chance for collaboration on choking and things
Dust WAS gonna be on Brie's shitlist, cuz the stun-nade, but I'm waiting to see the deterministic resolution to the crown debacle. Rosey's reputation hinges.
Cavaliere seems possessed of decent technique; without knowing his specialty, he isn't a complete newb

As an unintended Olive Branch, Brie has a very similar disposition (POWER) but has entirely different means of going about it. Perhaps in the aftermath they can have a conversation over a cup of Pu'er tea

Just gonna draw back to this for a second (cuz stop me, faggits xp)
It was in the performance of the Himeru technique that Brie had to consciously remind himself "Don't kill right away!"
While innocuous, that was a falling dominoe.

Cavaliere turns to Posey, his eyes brimming with anger. He speaks tersely and with a raised voice.

"Your recklessness could have gotten us or the griffons killed. It very well injured Silver Sword here, and we are all now less prepared for the main mission because of it. Crown or not, I was close to getting these souls out of this boat, and then we could gotten rid of the crown without any injury. Clearly it was a mistake to bring you along with the unnecessary danger you put us through."

I'll ignore the whole crown fiasco. Also, don't let this scolding be taken personally. You add a lot to this game which makes life so enjoyable.

Cavaliere turns to Defiant Dust, evidently still fuming but with a more leveled tone. He rubs his head painfully.

"Zebra healing magic is renowned the world over for good reason. I would much rather that you stayed with that. Thank you for your healing arts, but if you're going to make loud noises then bring aspirin next time."

And finally he turns back to the griffons, who are still injured and must look quite afraid. "Ik verontschuldig me voor deze onaangename omstandigheden. U vond een voorwerp dat u onwel maakte in uw hoofd en we konden het niet op een rustige manier van u afhalen. Ik weet niet zeker of u zich kunt herinneren wat er is gebeurd. We zullen u zo goed mogelijk helpen en u van dit eiland afhalen, maar eerst moeten we een paar airponies helpen die ook gestrand zijn."

Cavaliere would not permit Posey to keep the crown, especially after all that's happened. It doesn't matter if she's power-hungry and doesn't value her life. He knows she's not responsible enough to take the evil artifacts. He doesn't care whether it is destroyed or not.

While I attempt to affect a veil of patience waiting for everyone/anyone to become available, allow me a short interlude to describe what happened from Brie's perspective.
Brie doesn't know spoopy magic or artifacts, but he does know value, and that's a fancy tiara. And for reasons he's not sure of Silver, Rosey, and Dust seem awfully keen to remove it. Sidelong, he whispers to Cavaliere "Hey, I'll wrap that red Griffon up, you yank the crown, yeah?" to which Cavaliere nods. Bracing to spring into action,....

Dust drops his stun grenade.
"What... the... everloving...."
"I dunno... dude"

I know it wasn't intended to go that way, and there was no malice behind it. Honestly, that's one of the most classic examples of RP tomfoolery I can think of. Its in my personal top 2
plz dont do that again, or let me get out of the AoE

There was no warning to give, it was the first round and Brie got fucked first on initiative, second on being a rogue (a whole +1 fort for 5 levels e_e), and third on his saving throw. He got +2 for his monk dip, and I gave him a +2 for earplugs (he is wearing earplugs, anticipating firearms and explosions), but even then he was doomed.

Fair enough, perhaps the party can have discussions about strats moving forward so the zeeb doesn't flashbang his comrades
I know jack all about EaW, so I'm imagining zeebs are very utilitarian "you can catch your allies in the crossfire as long as you're doing more to the enemy" style of fighting. It's not that Dust wants to hit allies, but he considers it a necessary evil, and knows he can heal them after. He's used to the same treatment. Perhaps he shall have to learn against this.

You should definitely play Equestria at War to know the source material. Unfortunately the wiki is very much out of date and has no information on Zebrica. I haven't played much in the way of zebra countries either, but I do know that their special unit is "chargers" who are a sort of warrior caste.
We have an OOC thread now which can work to tidy up discussion.

Me too. I liked the combat, personally. I liked the element that we were less fighting to kill the griffons and more to just get rid of the crown/tiara's influence. I thought it added a bit more depth, since we were making moves to try to stun, immobilize, and disarm rather than outright damage them.
