Welcome back to the Latest Thread of Occupied Equestria
Onyx, Spark and Brie settle down for the night in a cabin in the woods along with a set of recently rescued ponies, saved from Changeling cocoons, as well as the changelings who sought to take them captive, who are themselves locked away as captives.
In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, Iron, and now Midnight Lily do their last preparations before seeking to take on a creature smuggling operation in a port-side neighborhood

>>114263>>114264I'm not sure how it would fit in the world, but I do like the idea. Maybe Iron, Star, and Silver could form a team and dominate together?
>>114265Team fights in Arenas in DnD are usually A Great Idea.
>>114266>>114265Sadly, we either have to go to Sparta or find an illegal arena ring, since in Baltimare that kind of violence is illegal.
>>114267It's a damn shame. Ah well, we'll figure something out.
>>114261Do you mean like the “Arena” episode of Star Trek, the “Gamers of Triskelion” episode of Star Trek which prominently featured an arena, or Elder Scrolls: The Arena?
>>114264Uh.... Not entirely sure how that would work in the setting. The SDP are obviously not going to allow it, nor would the Conservatives or the Fascists. I can’t really imagine the Changelings thinking it’s a good use if time either. There has already been an underground boxing match run by the gangs, though I’m not sure if that’s quite what you had in mind. Maybe bandits in the jungles would make captives fight, or find it entertaining. Certainly I can imagine Dragons fighting in arenas, if the party ever went to the Badlands or the Dragon Isles.
Actually... I think I know....
Done with my Saturday trial prep... now I just have to go in Sunday...
>>114259Did you intend to send Silver back to the catacombs for corpse interment?
>>114270Hope it turns out satisfactory.
>>114270Eeyup. First thing tomorrow morning in-game.
Also, good luck with that trial!
Alright, we’ve now gone at least two days without activity. Let’s try to advance some action tomorrow, even if I will not be available the whole day. Don’t be afraid to post before 5 PM on weekends... it’s not like I work on weekends (even though I will be for part of tomorrow afternoon).
>>114272Good, I have something planned for that
I suppose it's gamer time.
Unicorn dances to a sick blues remix of elevator music, surrounded by staring zebras.
Even though elevators don't exist.
"Ooh! Ah! Heck yeah! Lovin' it! That how you zeebs do this, right?"
And he got beaten up and thrown out of the establishment.
>>114276Yeah. His life was a short one.
Cracked his neck and died before medical ponies could do anything.
All the zebras could think is 'Wow, ponies are so specist.'
This only marked the beginning of the civil species war between the two.
Not really tho. Is meme. I need the batponer to actually do anything noteworthy. >>114277I think Iron was last inspecting items on a cabinet or table
>>114278I know. There's not much else aside from dentist equipment there according to last post.
>inb4 finds a Playcolt mag under a clipboard >>114280Ohai. Want to caress griffon beak?
>>114281Uuuuuuh, is the griffon consenting?
>>114282Kinda sorta.
They are asking for it, after all.
>>114280Midnight and Iron are exploring the closed off area. There is an empty large rectangular room, and a smaller room with a chair and some items
>>114284>Some itemsMidnight inspects the items.
>>114285A single knife, a scalpel, and a small bowl
>>114287Small. A table, a few cabinets, stained white tile turned yellow with patches of brown and black. In the center, a reclining chair that most resembles either a dentists chair, or a hospital chair
>>114288Ah, medical.
Midnight looks around with a bit of contempt before leaving for the room Iron is in.
>>114290...
I thought he was in a different....
Ugh
>>114291>inb4 Midnight crashes on Iron's hindquarters again for this mistake.Iron shakes his head.
"We should go back to the giant machine room that burned my hoof."
>>114292"I agree, let us hope the others are having better luck."
>>114293>>114288Iron nods, then proceeds to walk back there, flashlight lighting the way.
>>114294>>114293As they walk forward, they see doorways and arches along the side of the hallway that were missed when iron decided to blink himself and walk forward in hopes of... Well, none but Iron knows what he thought he would accomplish by doing that, but they are there. Past where the door is busted, light comes through, and there are unambiguous sounds of movement
>>114295Iron, with the wisdom of a big minded native, decides to do the flashlight turn off again after hearing said movements.
He uses his ears to locate where are the sounds coming from.
[1d20 = 15]<Auditory aid is required >>114296In front of them. They come from an area that is lit from a light above, and iron can see at least two Griffins in the area of the boiler room
>>114296>>114295Robin, activate the batradar!
[1d20+5 = 19] >>114298>>114297Iron nods to himself. He looks at his surroundings, wondering what he could hit to attract the griffons to his location.
>>114298A distant movement of air that might or might not be a whisper followed by something More obviously a voice:
“Ze zijn hier! Ze klopten op de deur!”
>>114300She leans towards Iron's ear whispering as to not be heard
"There are griffons talking about something, but I cannot understand them."
>>114301Iron shakes his head.
"Me neither," he whispers back to the batty fellow. "but they sound agressive. Pretty sure they will attack us if we show ourselves."
Seeing only two griffons, he feels pretty confident in his odds.
"Are you ready for battle?"
>>114302I'm 90% sure klopten is horse, but other than that yes you are>>114303Midnight takes a deep breath
"Yes, I will do what I can."
Her knife reappears, this time in her wing.
>>114302Context kind of gives it awayThe CIA rates Dutch as the easiest language for an English speaker to learn>>114303>>114301A griffin peers into the boiler room, as a second s down the busted hallway, and a third hangs around
>>114305>>114304Iron nods, then studies the scene.
"Simple enough. We attack the one hanging around here first, then the one in the busted hallway and finally the one in the boiler room," he whispers to Midnight. "Should be easy enough as long as we take them out quickly."
>Griffin staring down hallway: “Is de deur naar de onderste gang vergrendeld en vergrendeld?”
Griffin in boiler room: “Ik hoop het. Als dat zo is, kunnen ze daar niet ontsnappen.”
>”Ik weet het niet. Ze hebben deze deur echt beschadigd. Moeten we om versterking vragen?”
“Boek zal de onderbreking niet waarderen en Maakies zou snel terug moeten zijn.”
>”Heel goed dan. Maak de kamer vrij.”
>>114307"would you like a blessing of strength or not?"
>>114310Midnight sighs and lays a hoof on his back, uttering a prayer in a language he can't recognize, before he can feel himself grow stronger.
She casts bulls strength, giving him +4 to his str score.
>>114311He inhales deeply, feeling his muscles strengthening, before looking at Midnight, determined.
"Alright, let us commence."
STR increased from 20 to 24, adding +2 to damage and chance to hit.
>>114308Seems the translate gods we are in relative clear for now. Time to wreak havoc.Who is the closest enemy currently? The one hanging around, right?
[1d20+2 = 13]>>114312>>114311The Griffin in the hallway pulls out a machete.
“Ik zie rare magische dingen in de gang! Ze zijn hier beneden!”
Distance 30 feet, roll initiative
[1d20+1 = 15]
May as well try other griffin
>>114317I will cede my turn to the casting of Bull's Strength, mainly because the squishy bat pone isn't gonna run in with just a knife.
[1d20+6 = 9]>>114315>>114318It seems like Iron would be first. The griffin charges forth with his machete, and slashes at Iron
>>114319>>114318>>114316>>114315His machete slices through air past Iron. Iron’s turn
>>114320>>114319Ey nice
Iron, thankful for the gryphon's approach, powerfully deals a power attack on the offending gryphon's beak as compensation.
[1d20+8 = 14]<No charge required now! >>114322[1d3+14 = 16]<Earth Pony + Bull Power!Iron's hoof gives a tender, sleep-inducing stroke on the offending gryphon. As in brutally punches the griffon into possible knock out. Mr Sandmare style
>>114323Iron’s hoof hits against its chest bone with a sinker “crack” slide off into his neck, sending his head up high, then the griffin falls to the ground.
The last griffin readies his sword
>>114326Darn.Well. I suppose it's his turn? Midnight's?
>>114327>>114318Griffin 2 has taken a readied action. It’s midnight’s turn
>>114328Ah good, Midnight rushes into the room.
She turns towards the griffon and begins to chant in the same language she prayed over Iron in.
Will save (DC 14) or the griffon is shaken.
Spell is Doom >>114333 (checked)
Iron contemplates the readied gryphon.
(Ambush, most likely.)
So he does the most logical thing possible: He picks up the unconscious gryphon and throws him at the other gryphon visible.
[1d20+5 = 13]<I'll hit a gryphon with another gryphon! >>114334Hmmm.... I want distinct strength and attack rolls
>>114335I need both? OK. That roll was a ranged attack roll. Here's strength.
[1d20+7 = 23]<Big Boi muscles. >>114336Iron picks up the catbird, places it over his head, grazing the arched brick ceiling, in an incredible display.
Only moments before the Griffin’s mind filled with a looming sense of dread. A foreboding sense of a looming danger. He could not have imagined that would come in the form of his fellow griffin, picked up, and cast like a rock by a pony of in-equine strength. He watches the griffin thrown forward, grace the ceiling, then plunge down on him, in where horror of what could have done this.
The griffin lands on the griffin, and both fall to the ground
>>114339Iron smiles.
"Next time, come over here, lazy catbird!"
I suppose it's the end of his turn. Let's see if his/my hunch was right.
>>114340>>114338The second griffin is knocked down - not out - but behind him is a third griffin with a redder color scheme. He looks back at Iron and midnight with narrowed eyes. Not entirely fearful, but with a tinge of anger. He has no visible weapon
“Wie stuurde je?”
>>114341Midnight turns towards the grif, her ears folding back as she lets out a quiet "eeeeeee" before her knife goes flying across the room at the griffon.
[1d20+6 = 23] >>114344The knife flies through the air, rotates, and flies into the side of the griffin into his left. He recoils in pain, and stretches the wing slightly, as the knife is lodged by the limb itself where it connects to his torso. The griffin is in pain and the other is knocked down... but neither is out
>>114345Can Iron start charging into a big ol' hug against the third red gryphon?
>>114347Alrighty! Here we go!
I'll assume the gryphon victimized by gryphon body is currently prone for this round.
Iron charges against the red menacing gryphon in order to shut his trap, for
he is the one to ask questions... later... with a possible translator if posible.
A-anyways, rolling charging full power attack.
[1d20+10 = 30]<Insert pain train joke here >>114348>>114349The griffin, for just a moment, looks back at his wing to remove the knife, not seeing the charging pony until Iron is already in his stride. He turns around to try to flee, but Iron still manages to land a solid buck, straight into his partly turned face, that possibly even breaks his beak. He falls unconscious before he even reaches the ground
>>114350Iron nods to himself.
"There we go."
He turns to the last gryphon, with a
menacing pose, 4th wall invaded by shadow and purple symbols scrolling downwards shakily.
No, this is not an intimidate roll. Just want to meme.
>>114351I mean, if Iron is looking for shadows and purple symbols to come down upon him, that can certainly be arranged
The griffin is pushing off the other griffin in an effort to get up. He looks at Iron, and says to him in a serious tone:
“Ze zullen er zijn. Ze zullen je pakken. Je kunt niet ontsnappen, zonaanbidder”
>>114352Oh really?
Iron simply walks over to the last one like in pic related.
"Sorry. I cannot understand you, but do not fret."
He raises his hoof.
"I know a language we both understand."
And
STOMP![1d20+15 = 28]<Light stomp of family friendly violence >>114352>>114351>>114350Midnight rolls her eyes at the stallion, before hearing the griffon.
She walks over before one wing reaches under the other, and with a click produces a revolver which is pointed at the griffon.
"Silence."
I on the contrary, I am intimidating
[1d20+2 = 10] ゴゴゴゴ
[1d20 = 15]>>114353The stomp vibrates through the ground and shakes the walls in a ring that’s a little bit high pitched than you’d imagine if there were solid rock underneath
>>114354Midnight does her best Monsignor Martinez
>>114358>>114354>>114353He responds
“Waar geloof je dat je ziel zal gaan als je sterft?”
>>114359"Why can you not just speak ponish? Iron, where is my knife?"
She keeps the gun aimed, but turns to look at Iron for a moment.
>>114359>>114361So melodramatic.Iron shrugs.
"Pretty sure the red gryphon has it."
He walks over to the knocked out one, and takes it out and walks back, passing it to Midnight.
>>114362I'll have you know that her kindness only extends to ponies and kirin! Griffons are the enemies of the Princesses!"Thank you Iron, were you hurt?"
Her gaze softens as she accepts the knife, looking over Iron for any wounds.
>>114362Don’t insult and belittle NPCs, especially out of character and with knowledge you only have because of metagaming. At best it means next time there will be twice as many twice as strong enemies, and really it just dampens my enthusiasm for the game
>>114364There are no wounds on Iron aside from the one sustained earlier. The griffin is looking more than a little concerned, but not entirely fearful
