Welcome back to the Latest Thread of Occupied Equestria
Onyx, Spark and Brie settle down for the night in a cabin in the woods along with a set of recently rescued ponies, saved from Changeling cocoons, as well as the changelings who sought to take them captive, who are themselves locked away as captives.
In Baltimare, Silver, Dark Star, Iron, and now Midnight Lily do their last preparations before seeking to take on a creature smuggling operation in a port-side neighborhood

>>112956>>112958I suppose.
I hope he's not in turmoil as to how the quest is going.>>112959Ah ha! See guys? I knew something was off!
Of course, good luck.
>>113009If Midnight not here, then I must await my opportunity.
Sorry Sir Ancapon The First. >>113028>>113029Hey guys. How's it going?
>>113030Ready to play whenever Midnight arrives. We gonna make griffon be nice.
>>113032His Majesty Sir AnCap LXIX is here. I believe my last action was
>>112887 >>113031Is this y'all pony your new OC?
>>113033>>113032Alright....
Iron Midnight leave from the loading bay, going past the door to the right, the ramp down to the left, and the door in front and to the left, closing instead to go down a ramp that leads into a small tunnel going straight ahead. It has a flat concrete surface, brick walls, and an arched ceiling,l. It looks wide enough for a cart to just barely maneuver, and precedes straight from the loading bay has be hundred feet or more, illuminated by spaced incandescent electrical lights that just barely light the brick hallway. This goes past a door, and into a room that bulges out. The room has a drain on the floor, and a number of steel cylinders four or five feet in diameter that have knobs and seem to be done kind of machine. In the hallway is a metal cart with a big open rectangle that was found to contain articles of white clothing when Iron inspected it. The sounds of the machines can be hear long before the two arrive, and hides the sounds of a griffin who approaches from the left, from a different, smaller hall
>>113038That’s Harmony Star. She is one of two mascots for HarmonyCon, the replacement for Nightmare Nights after that convention closed. She’s adorable, the honorary Element of Texas, and has a surprisingly large amount of art, so I post her a lot
>>113038Don't think so. Probably.
If he did that, it would've been Skies >>113040She does indeed look adorable, you'll get no argument from me.
>>113033>>113032Anyways.... declare actions. I think Iron wants to hide behind the cart
>>113044Correct.
Midnight's action is in the one you linked
>>113044>>113045What he said, Midnight is just looking lost.
Which is easy, considering she is.
>>113045>>113033Alright... as Midnight has chosen to be found...
The griffin comes out slowly. She wears some kind of white cover on her front, but is otherwise unclothed, and has white feathers with black ends, and a soft but dull lion coat on her main body. She is fairly small, yet still as big as Midnight as Griffins tend to be. She is at first kind of lazy in her approach, but when she sees Midnight, she reacts with fear, throwing her wings over her beak and widening her eyes
“Qui es-tu? Qu'est ce que tu fais en bas?!”
>>113049"E-excuse me? I am sorry but I cannot understand you..."
>>113049I'm surprised I can even understand her without translation. Romantic Languages FTW.Iron, while behind the cart, swivels his ears.
(She is a guard, indeed.)
Can he see the griffin?
>>113050Roll for luckShe tacks a step back
“Comment êtes-vous entrés?”
>>113051He can if he looks around to the right. (I mean, he can do it from the left, she’s just more likely to see him). Her attention is focused on Midnight. He would see the description given in
>>113049 >>113052"I cannot understand you, do you speak ponish?"
Luck I guess
[1d20 = 14] >>113053“Small amount. Who... are you”
>>113052Iron decides to peek from the right, seeing her clothing.
(I think I should take off these clothes. It will look bad.)
Would that make noise?
>>113055It’s a simple worker’s garment. It looks like it protects from spills.
Roll die to remove silently
>>113054Midnight nods, as if she's used to speaking with creatures who don't speak much ponish.
"Am Midnight. Was chased, saw open door to run in."
>>113059"Sorry, could you help me leave? Scared of ponies who chase me"
Diplomacy check to see if the griffon will help.
[1d20+12 = 20] >>113059Nice.
Iron awaits in a pouncing maneuver in case things go awry.
(If Midnight calls me out, then I should be safe to come out without her being panicked over stolen clothes.)
>>113060She speaks in heavy accent and with words often delayed
“Where did you come from?”
>>113062"Am visiting for business. Stay out too late. Cannot find place to stay."
>>113063“You cannot be here... the closest exit is...”
She thinks for a moment, then points back the way she came
“That way”
>>113064"Can you escort me? Afraid bad ponies are waiting."
>>113065She still looks stunned that a random pony somehow wondered in
“It is... back this way”
She points with a claw back through the way she came
>>113066"No help?"
Midnight cocks her head, looking with big eyes.
>>113067“Is this way”
She points a claw, and angles her body that direction
>>113068Midnight flares her wings as if to signal Iron to wait, and begins to walk towards the area the griffon pointed to.
"Fine."
>>113070The griffin goes ahead in front of Midnight, but looks back to watch her occasionally
“This way”
She goes forward, and leads into a room with a couple other carts and folded clothing, then a ramp going up to the first level off to the right then turning right again. This goes out a big door into what must be the first floor. The hallway goes each way, and has a couple big doors branching off. The walls are painted white, the floor is a number of 1 foot by 1 foot square tiles that are a brownish black in color
“This way” she says again, taking a left
>>113071She continues to follow, praying to Luna that this will end well.
>>113072Just a little further, and there is a hallway off to their right. This one goes forward, past a couple more doors, and ends in an expanded area that seems like an entrance foyer or waiting area
“This is the exit” she says
She goes forward
“Not sure if locked...”
>>113073Midnight steps forward and tests the door.
>>113072>>113073Since they went away, Iron feels it's a good time to redress himself as a worker.
>>113074The griffin herself checks the door. It does not budge. Midnight checks if next, and sure enough, it is locked
“I... do not have key” the griffin says awkwardly
>>113075Thus Iron puts on a garment of his own
>>113077He steps out, wondering what he should do.
(Go to Midnight, or keep exploring?)
Some part of him points out they should not separate more than the group already is, so he retraces the griffin and Midnight's steps to the best of his ability.
>>113077"That is fine, I can just stay here."
Midnight simply sits next to the door, and decides to make small talk.
"What is this place?"
[1d20+12 = 17] diplomacy to hopefully make the griffon a bit more friendly.
>>113078Step forward, step forward, step forward... it’s a room with a few baskets of clothing and towels, and two carts. Two potential exits
>>113079“This is... our place that we live.... I will have to contact a guard to unlock the door”
>>113080Loading bay, possibly.Iron peeks around for any trace of the griffon-bat combo.
(They could not have gone so far.)
>>113080"Alright... Do you have a name?"
>>113081No pony there
This is a new room, a little left/east of the direction they came from>>113082“I am... Joan Plumeblanche”
>>113083"It is nice to meet you, thank you for escorting me"
>>113083Ohok.Iron steps forth, exploring the room he stumbled into, particularly the clothing and towels.
>>113085It is an inelegantly constructed room. The walls are naked brick of a variety with a distinct brown and yellow hue. The floor is bare concrete, and the most complication comes from a single vent that blows in warmer air, and electric lights with naked cables. Inside the room there are a couple bins, containing mostly folded cloths, and a couple tables with clothes on them. Clothes are mostly simple woven, although there are some fancier coats and robes (probably wool), which are hung up on a rack. Towels are undyed white cotton.
>>113084She’s looks back, then down, then back to her
“What is... your name”
>>113086Iron's mind lights up.
(This is the place where they store their export, possibly. I might be getting somewhere here.)
He inspects the fancier coats and robes first, seeing if they have some sort of signature or otherwise tag where it says who made the clothes.
(If only I had somepony who knew if they'd seen the clothes before...)
>>113086"Midnight. May I ask what you do here?"
>>113088“I am... house servant...”
Joan now sounds like Celestia from
https://youtu.be/NKRa7vor63c>>113087Place names. Whitebell, Skyfall, Nouvelle Aquellia
>>113089Hm. What could that mean? Clothes brand or actual Griffonia places? Sadly, Iron is a dumbell, so he'd have to do some 'borrowing'.Iron nods to himself.
(This seems like useful information.)
He glances around for any sort of reliable and quiet method for carrying around folded clothes.
Technically, Iron can probably take those boxes without issue, but it's going to look conspicuous. >>113090Aside from the carts, there are no options besides carrying them on hangers or over his back. Maybe in a cotton bag, but this would unfold and possibly wrinkle them
>>113094He decides to try carrying them on his back the available fancy clothes, for he believes they are the easiest to recognize for searching who and where they are going.
>>113089"Ah, I see."
Midnight heavily considers trying to get away from the griffon, but isn't sure if it's the best idea.
>>113096He can do that, it’s just the opposite of inconspicuous. The color constraints strongly against his grey coat and white workers garments
>>113097“I should... maybe find a guard to unlock the door” Joan says
>>113099"I will stay here"
Midnight gives a smile, as if she isn't gonna run off the moment she's alone.
>>113099Iron shakes his head.
(I should avoid damaging the garments.)
He glances at one of the carts.
(Perhaps they are the best option. Might as well take some of the more simple clothing, too.)
And with that, he starts packing one of the carts with the available fancy clothing plus some of the simpler clothes.
>>113100“Oh, okay”
She walks off, down the hallway they came from
>>113101This risks unfolding the clothes
But frankly is do that to formal clothes too, so Iron might >>113102Midnight quickly trots down the hall she came from, unless that's the way the griffon went.
>>113106Hey hey! In my defense....
I'm fucking retarded, SHIT
>>113103You can....
He can try to place them down carefully in an empty cart
>>113104Joan goes down the hall and turns right, which Midnight has the spacial awareness to know us the opposite direction they came from, and leads the griffin in the direction of the hostel/fort building
If Midnight chooses to leave quickly, she may need to move silently
>>113111Moment of truth, then.
Iron inspects the carts before starting the packing process.
>considering my options intensifies>>113111 (checked)
Midnight waits a moment before slowly walking down the hall, turning back toward where she came.
>>113115She able to wait in spot, then go into the hallway. It seems empty. Down the left are many doors, surely one of which is the one she care from
>>113114They seem functional. One has clothes in it, the other is empty
>>113117He inspects the one with clothes first, from capacity to the tag they could have.
>>113118It contains a moderate amount of clothes that are of simple design, and several colors. At least some of the fancy clothes on the rack could fit in it without overflowing
>>113120I sure hope this is actually useful for the mission.Iron decides that not all fancy clothing should be extracted, for they would both disrupt their operations while allowing some of it be shipped off to their destination to see which are the ones accepting the clothes.
(Hard evidence of clothing presence. This should be worthy of taking out.)
>>113117Rolling int to remember the door....
[1d20+1 = 4] >>113122It’s that first one, with the big red trim
>>113121Alright, Iron presumably does so
>>113124After doing so, he checks the door where the carts should go out.
>>113126There is a ramp that snakes around going up
>>113128In any case, Iron goes to inspect it.
Does it lead outside? Are there any other exits that could lead directly outside in the room he's in?
>>113129It goes up to a door on what presumably is the first level
>>113131Hm.
Sounds like it's scouting time.
Iron attempts to open the door.
>>113124This should end terribly; Midnight opens the door
>>113133This opens into a hallway. It looks like a main hallway, with white painted walls and brown-black square tile floors
>>113135This opens into a dark room, which has some cabinets, steel stoves, an oven in the back, a few sinks, and just a couple pots out
>>113139He walks along said hallway, figuring out if he can find a safe and close exit to take out the clothes.
(Will Skies know how to hide a cart full of clothes? I hope so.)
>>113140It’s probably the most public place of this building. There are doors, but nothing obviously leads to an exit
>>113142Crud
At least he's not going to cause an uproar due to his costume, then.
He decides to check the doors at his disposal since he lost himself in this maze of a building.
>>112877Sorry it took me so long to wake up.
Back reading now >>113154Hey, no need to apologize to me. Just happy to see you.
>>113159He was here an hour ago, at least. No idea where else he'd be.
>>113160i hope he's doing alright. he did say he was on a trip for the weekend.
Alright, who is or will be here tonight?
>>113165I'm here, just playing some No More Room in Hell to pass the time.
