Set six years after season 6, Occupied Equestria presents an alternative history where Chrysalis chose a different approach to her second attack on Equestria. The Changelings have conquered half of Equestria, while a former Equestrian colony - soured to Princess Twilight's notion of harmony with all creatures thank to their dealing with griffins - Invaded and took the other half. In Baltimare and the Equestrian Southeast, the magic of friendship has weakened, as Communists, Changeling infiltrators, Fascists, gangs, and corrupt creepy politicians threaten the city. This role play is based in large part upon the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron 4, and uses D&d 3.5e mechanics.
Silver is learning about foreign pony cultures, Dark Star is preparing to put on a play for the children of the Saint Prancis Orphanage, Onyx has received several possible missions from the government, Brie is buying clothing, presumably for a long journey. Ash and Iron are leaving the office of a now enraged gangster... or not.

>>92733>>92730"They are gone. Maybe to get something to eat. Now what?"
>>92733Silver makes a half-turn towards the source of the sound, expecting...well, to be honest, he's not sure what he's expecting. Hopefully nothing, or his ears playing tricks on him. After all, sudden, spontaneous singing in a place like this normally means trouble. Might actually explain why Ponyville used to get destroyed every week or so...
>>92738"Ok, but remember not to draw attention to our little friends. If they freak out, then we are in a bit of trouble."
I open the next door and look through.
>>92743
The action does not change tho. Iron still goes for the chain and rattles it.
>>92739Seems to be from the quarry, behind Silver. Well, behind the direction he was facing previously. Male voice, more than a little off. A little guttural, possibly drunk
"You'll come a Walzing Muletilda, you scoundrel, with me">>92742Did he open the bathroom door?
>>92745"RAWR!" It's pissed
>>92746I mean the door to the next car.
>>92746Assuming Iron has the chain on him, he simply walks out, looking at the tiger while doing so.
(I'll probably ask the mare to unbuckle my armor and shield. Damn tigers are no joke.)
>>92747Which direction? To the front or to the back?
>>92748Were it so easy. Roll
[1d20 = 3]>>92749Uh, sure. Here's hoping a good number rolls or else Iron becomes tiger food.
>>92750Heyo! Time for new character! What is the party missing currently?
>>92751A rogue. Wait. Brie came back. Uh
>>92746Silver relaxes upon this realization, and the utterance of the familiar song title. "Новый Мареландер. Конечно. Probably off-duty and enjoying his time off."
With that fear abated, he turns to the blocked off hole for the task ahead. One by one, he wraps a telekinetic sheath around those boulders that he is capable of moving, and pulls them out of the pile. He makes sure to keep out of the tunnel itself to avoid being potentially crushed by a sudden cave-in.
>>92749The front I believe, because going back would go back to where we came.
>>92751We're missing a Cleric or some other kind of healer, I do believe.
>>92751>>92755Yeah, a healer could be useful
>>927522 Fighters, a ranger, a rogue and a sorcerer as far as I can remember. Maybe either a bard or a psion.
>>92755Oh right. That. I'll go for cleric pony then.
>>92752Be sure to make Iron die. I can take the emotional push.
Poor pony. He never knew how to deal with society. >>92753"Up jumped the swagmare, sprang into the Billabong. You'll never take me alive says he..."The voice is able to inflect the tonal change from the joyful tone of the previous verse to the sad tone of the final verse. Despite that, it's definitely a freaky voice. Scrathy, breaking at points, but it does sound sort of intoxicated.
The little rocks are removed one by one, but there's still quite a chore to remove all of them
>>92754towards teh front is the car they just came from
>>92758I'm officially lost as to how this train works. Just take us to the next car.
>>92758What strange names, he wonders to himself, as he works to remove the rocks one-by-one, sweating from the strain this use of magic is putting on him. He hopes the stallion is enjoying himself, whoever it is.
Silver stops after a few minutes, almost collapsing from exertion. "Phew...Магия это тяжелая работа." He looks at what he's managed to do so far, if he's created a sizable opening for air or at least gotten part of the way there.
>>92761"
And his ghost may be heard as you pass by that Billabong. You'll come a Walzing Muletilda with me"
Limbs fling by Silver. Somepony definitely
tried to hit Silver from behind, but lost their footing
>>92766Another day, another drunk pony mistaking Silver as a dirty Red. Not the first time this has happened, but it's certainly one of the rare times in which Silver isn't also drunk. And also the first time this has happened in a quarry.
As if somepony flipped a switch, Silver forgets the strain on his body. He steps forward away from his would-be attacker and turns towards him. He also gets into a defensive stance, in case he tries throwing another punch in Silver's direction. "What in fuck?"
>>92766After some thought, I have come up with a simple unicorn mare cleric. However, I have no clue what deity she should follow. I was thinking to go with Celestia, where healing and sun are her domains. Simple "Treat ponies nice. If they're not nice, they get a fireball thrown at them" kind of belief. Unsure if this Celestia would allow making those decisions. If she cannot have Celestia as her deity, then I'll just make her a good-aligned cleric. Not sure if lawful or chaotic yet.
You know what I found out while playing Equestria at War? Silver looks almost exactly like Duke Haygle.
>>92771Isn't he the wrong color?
>>92772They're pretty damn similar. White/
really light grey coat, silvery/age grey mane, blue eyes.
[4d6 = 14][4d6 = 14][4d6 = 19]>>92770>>92772Well, I'll roll stats here just in case I get Silver-worthy attributes.
Also a test to see if I can remember how to do it to begin with.
>>92775>>92774Aw, that's some meh skills.
I'm not feeling it at the moment. Maybe in an hour I can do more.
More than anything I wanted to see how Silver would handle the situation with Skies, but it looks like it's going to be a long while before we see that
>>92778Alright then, see you in an hour or so I suppose.
I suppose the first step is seeing if Blue would even speak with Silver after he does this job. I'm so far behind on what's been going on, I'm not sure if she would or if she'd just shoot him on sight. All I know is that Iron is about to get mauled by a tiger, Spark and Onyx are on the train with the 'lings and I think Brie is with them, and Star is...somewhere. >>92780Star is currently with Skies acting all romantic-like.
Pretty sure she won't shoot you. More like saying 'Old pony needed a mare after losing her first to bandits. He is such a warrior. I hope Star would let me fuck him again to bear his children' or something along those lines. >>92785Other one looked headache-inducing. Have a more
hopefully compiled version.

Well, I'll be going to bed now. I feel sleepier than usual. Have a good night. If Iron lives, you'll get to see what punishment he can make for Skies. If Iron dies, I'd like to know if the cleric mare is good for this world.
>>92790She's right there across from Dark Star
>>92780Are you still here?
>>92769Behind Silver appears a pale green pegasus, wet from being in the lake. At least, the coat appears pale green. It has an almost pickled appearance, like the green hue of the coat itself has been washed away. On his head is a tan cattleman's hat, strapped onto the head by a thin strip of leather. This hat as well appears to have faded from a darker brown. the grey mane drips down and sheds water. But his face... the lips themselves appears somewhat swollen and pickled, save for an area on the right where the lips appear missing entirely. The nose likewise appears swollen and bleached. His right eye is enitrely white, with the pupil missing, and the left eye is green with a cataract. He's wearing a tan uniform, and darker pants. He has a gun slung over his shoulder, but he's not using it. And the stench... It's like dead fish
>>92793"Что, черт возьми!?" Okay, not a drunk New Marelander soldier. A drowned New Marelander zombie soldier. That is definitely more along the lines of what Silver expect when he thought "trouble". A telekinetic sheath forms around the hilt of his greatsword, as Silver readies himself for battle.
I'm guessing I need to roll for initiative? >>92796Silver wins, if that was not obvious
[1d20+3 = 19]>>92798Eeyup."Я отправлю тебя обратно в могилу!"
Power Attack, +5: Silver unsheathes his greatsword and unleashes a mighty swing to his right. "YAAAAAHHHHH!"
>>92799Looks like a landed hit. What's the damage roll?
[1d20+5 = 14][2d20 = 20]>>92801Silver's Sword cuts into the creature, into organs that seem to themselves be decayed and pickled. But it lets out a guttural cry, and attacks Silver
What's his AC?
[1d8+5 = 13]>>92803You know what, I think i can guess what lands and what doesn't. A hoof hits a rock and Silver dodges the bit, but one hoof hits him squarely in the neck
>>92809Indeed. In that case, let's continue."HRRK!" The lake ghast's hoof tears through Silver's neck, taking a chunk of his flesh with it. Silver holds a forehoof to the new wound, choking on a curse yet-to-be uttered. Nothing critically vital was hit however, and his unconscious utters a prayer to his lucky stars for that.
His magic remains stalwart despite the strike to his throat, and takes another swing to the left with his greatsword, focusing less on raw power and more on just getting the hit in.
>>92810>>92811Silver's sword barely penetrated through it's thick, leathered hide, but it does, doing still more damage
[1d20+3 = 11][2d20 = 17]>>92813>>92813The old wrinkly soldier is damaged, and now wears the scars and wounds Silver has inflicted upon it. But it isn't out
yet >>92814It looks as if none of his claws pierce Silver's armor
This is why creatures in the SRD generally need to be buffed [1d20+8 = 13]>>92815To be fair, when that ghast hits, it hits hard.Silver is starting to enjoy this armor he had bought. Wordlessly, he makes what he hopes is his final strike, aimed near the wounds he had inflicted with his first swing.
[1d20+3 = 9][2d20 = 19]>>92816His hopes crash and deflect against the soldier's hide like his hopes of growing old with a loving family
It attacks yet again
[1d8+5 = 12]>>92817As if getting de ja vu, it makes a nearly identical attack to its previous partially successful one
[1d20+8 = 11]>>92818Another chunk of flesh, blood, and sinew is torn from Silver's neck, making him seriously question his ability to speak or breathe after this encounter. Well, if his mind wasn't occupied with the red-hot pain that is under normal circumstances known as his throat.
He swings again, now desperate to bring this lake ghast its much-needed peace.
[1d20+3 = 5][2d20 = 13]>>92819If Silver has any real regrets in his life, they'd probably come to his mind about now
[1d20+8 = 22]>>92821Even as Silver dodges and blocks this round of the ghast's attacks, he sends up a silent prayer to whoever is listening to help him at least make it through this one battle. He'll help ponies, he'll try to be a better pony than he is, he'll do everything to make it up to Blue for what he did. If only they'll guide his sword, and bring peace to this tortured soul.
He swings again.
>>92822If he can't bring peace to his own soul, perhaps he can bring peace to that before him which was once a pony. It's limbs shatter, a leg falls off, and the things remains in a single piece only hanging by its spinal cord. It's brown uniform is in tatters. His cattlemare's hat remains fastened to his head, however. He'll go no more walzing muletilda
>>92824It's finally over...His breath comes in short, pained gasps for air, and his hoof is the only thing keeping him from bleeding out onto the quarry floor. Crimson red flows down his neck and foreleg, staining the collar and hoof cuff of his olive-drab uniform, and dripping down onto the cold stone below him. The ghast did a number on him in that encounter. Wasting no time, should there be any more hiding underneath the surface of the water, he quickly grabs the pony's rifle
probably a Rose Type-E, since that's a New Marelander soldier and looks through what remains of the pony's possessions. He'd bold his breath to avoid smelling the rotting fish aroma of the lake ghast, but he is finding it hard enough to breathe as is.
>>92791"Did you have any plans for tonight?"
>>92826"Silver claimed he would be done with his own mission aroun 5 PM, but otherwise, no."
>>92825Most of his possessions are damaged. He does have a gun, though it isn't quite a rifle, and a dog tag, as well as a knife, a water container, two campaign medals, and a set of binoculars. And one piece of paper that happened to be rolled up in the water container...
[1d20+5 = 24]>>92827Silver isn't in a state at this moment where he can examine these objects, so he simply takes them all to avoid wasting more time. He offers only a quick, worried glance to the water before making his way back up to the top of the quarry.
Heal: After having suffered the small trip with his injured throat, he sits down and brings out his medical kit, using it and the supplies inside to stop the bleeding and bandage the wound.
>>92828The water's a little disturbed. Hopefully from the same lake ghast. He is able to bandage himself, and stop the bleeding
[1d8+1 = 6]>>92829With the wound dressed, he downs a potion of Cure Light Wounds to help it heal. He also takes the time to read whatever is on the piece of paper, dog tag, and medals, look at the other objects he acquired for any signs of serious damage, and give the firearm an examination.
>>92830The piece of paper:
"To all of you, the fighting mares of the 19th, I want to congratulate you on your courage and vigor. After months of almost stale fighting in the brutal jungles of the South, we have broken the back of the Equestrian military. Victory now is nothing less than inevitable. After a half of a millennium of domination, the population of New Mareland has firmly and resolutely declared its independence against its puppet masters, and survived the tests against its sovereignty. The 19th Infantry will have the honor of eliminating the last resistance, and likely have the honor of accepting the final surrender before the
buggers our comrades in arms. One final battle is all that remains. I am honored to lead you, and Godspeed.
- General Ironwood"
Dog Tag - Private Green Basin, 19th Infantry Division
Campaign Medal, Sicameon Campaign. Mintoaurian Campaign. Defense of the Homeland, New South Bales
The water bottle is fine. The Binoculars.... well, they at least need the fluid that seeped inside removed. The gun looks to be a very ugly submachine gun of some sort
>>92827"We Should Go to one of the carnivals tonight."
>>92833"yea i thought it would be a good time."
>>92834"I've never been to a carnival"
>>92835"You'll love it. the roller coasters are Awesome."
>>92836"Are you familiar with them?"
>>92837"yea i rode a roller coaster a few times as a colt. it's what i imagine flying is like."
>>92838She leans over and pats him on the head
"You poor flightless pony"
