Amber knows who these two are. The white griffin is Helder Von Neuestadt. He claims to be a family friend of the Katerin dynasty, somehow. His father was director of art for the previous king, or something, and so is he. Nominally, anyways. The red griffin is a bit more familiar: Erich Sóbányász. He's not from around here, and plays the violin in the town orchestra, but more importantly, in the personal sessions given to the princess

What is Silver wearing?

It's difficult to move into position, because the alley is genuinely behind the restaurant, rather than to the side. The restaurant occupies a corner position on the lot, with the patio (which is to the left of the building) along the side of the road. The alley is ten or so feet wide, and is between the building and a department store.
