Torcuil has spent the last spent the last hour at a fever pitch of activity, grabbing books, discarding them, shuffling papers, analyzing diagrams,... he knows he's on the verge of something, and something big. Tracy continues to try and vie for Trump's attention with a variety of methods. Let's not forget that Trump is a 6'2" human, and Tracy is,... what, 3'6" standing upright? Thez has fallen asleep in her zombie-bath, and dusk approaches.

The game is currently in 'Cinematic' mode, where there are no direct threats or concerns other than players cause. Meaning, players are welcome to explore, bant, and even beat the piss out of one another without incurring any consequences leading up to the next segment of actual play.

K, so here's where game mechanics come into play. Trump is going to be inherently stronger than Tracy, but Tracy is inherently faster/more-agile than Trump. So, while Trump is successful at warding her off and keeping her from removing his armor, he is not able to prevent her from putting her hooves all over him.

Pic related is an abstract, but I see Trump having Field Plate. Field Plate is only 1 ac off Full Plate, but its much shinier (its Parade Armor). Its still fully functional, but all the embellishments (engraving, gems, hilights, etc.) make it slightly less effective. Good news is, aside from your face you're covered.

Yes, I did not advance the fight past that point either graphically or by explanation because I felt the fight was coming to a head. I didn't know it would be a result of Torcuil's success, but I knew that it was getting to be a moot point. Zombies are kind of a 'testing the waters' sorta foe and make for good testing of new/inspired game mechanics. ^_^

Sun sets on the player's (and character's, but that involves some convoluted philosophical discourse that we haven't gotten,... anyway) first night in... this place. A million ambient bugs weeee and rrerrrerrrrerrrrerrr and all manner of anomatopia their insect calls throughout the night. The moob (it was supposed to be moon but I'm going with it) casts a pale shadow over the overgrown clearing, and the crystalline structure the players find themselves in. Torcuil is almost mad with idea after idea. If his analysis is correct (it is) then has revolutionary effects on the basic usage of magic. At the same time, in the (((wrong))) hands,...
