>>519 I wasn;t paying attention, but my parents were watching some show in the background, so it had to be at least 15~20 minutes. I was doing it to kill time.
>>>/mlpol/64575 → Torso is definitely a lot better but the lower section of the back legs should be longer than the thighs so you can raise the hocks. Should also be a little bigger. Also they should be spread out a bit to give her a stable looking stance. she looks like somepony could tip her over while shes sleeping standing up. She is supposed to be showing her junk as well so all the more reason to spread her legs apart. The front legs could be a tiny bit bigger but the proportions are good. Where the shoulder connects to the chest should move like a half millimeter up and to the left. It should be in front of the chest not to the side of it.
The ears look like human ears and the hair ends weirdly halfway up the back of her head I would fix that. If she is looking at her hooves then the ears and hair would sill be in a drastically different orientation. Also her torso would be covering most of her head if that was the case.
>>>/mlpol/64355 → Hocks are the weird backwards elbow looking joints on the hind legs.
>>635 Thanks anon, i will take it into account, will be working on it in the next couple hours..I did not draw the ears as i didn't have enough space on my tiny notepad, the connection between the shoulder and chests confuses me a little but ill find a way to make it.
>>649 Ok so the head is better but still too small. The eyes are too small and too high, and the chin looks a little chubby near the neck so I would push that up. The part where the ear connects to the neck near is wrong; the line should go behind the ear not in front of the ear. Ear starts too high up also. The hind legs look like cylinders pretty much which isn't how the show design looks. The sketch of the hind leg to the right shows that it is basically a long cone shape that slightly curves. Butt's fore-cheek also goes all the way up to the tail, and the belly you drew that connects into the back hind leg looks weird. It should be round, following the circle you were supposed to draw as an underlay. It ends at about the same spot though.
It also doesn't look like you are properly construction your chest using two circles that are the same size. The butt isn't bigger than the chest unless you are going for extreme foreshortening which the show doesn't do. The front leg's shoulder should be on the chest and in front of it, not to the right side of it.
There's more I could say but you should really just do quicker sketches until you have the proportions and anatomy down, kind of like I'm doing in the redline.
>>704 For this one's head, it is still too small, same problem with the eyes and chin, and there would not be two nostrils showing. The ear looks better, but it starts too low now.
Again work on the underlay for the chest because not doing is making your neck and back look weird. The arm is too short, and it kind of looks off balance so I added another arm. The lower part of the hind legs still have the same cylinder shape problem, and the one sticking in the air could probably be changed. Ponies in the show don't usually bend their knees that way so it looks unnatural. If her knee was bent I added the faint blue line to show what it would probably look like. The belly covers where the leg on the viewer's right connects to the torso.
>>775 I'll look into it and try again! Maybe it's better if I practice the different parts alone, I'm kind of busy with work as of late but I'll make time, thanks anon!
>thread been up for five days >only 44 pics All you tryhards need to get some confidence. It's not gonna get any better unless you keep doing it. Everyone draw the most autistic thing they can think up in no more than 10 minutes. Take only 30 seconds if you want.
>>808 Practicing different parts on the own isn't as good as doing them all together because the hard part is getting the correct proportions relative to different parts of anatomy. Just learn the system and perfect it. Two small overlapping circles for chest and one giant circle for head. Look at guides for leg anatomy (there are already basic joint and orientation guides in the threads that show proportions), although legs are easy enough to do by just observing references imo. There's also guides for height like how the pony is 3 heads high standing normally (at least that's what the guides say. I've never tested and not sure I'd trust a guide written by a brony but that's a minor detail). The only part I actually would recommend drawing on its own repeatedly for practice is the head. That's because the rest of the anatomy is based around the size of the head, and it takes the longest anyways.

>>1823 The method is to keep sharting out awful pics until you eventually get okay at it. Don't sweat quality, just keep mass-producing autism. I made ~pics during the /sp/ raid alone (pic): although I'd never even tried digital (or even regular) art for that matter. Then, I realized I really enjoyed doing it.
>>1821 You have quite the dedication, that will take you far. Yet if you want to get better, start studying the pony, take a close look at their lines and how they work.

I took a zebra and turned it into this over the course of several requests. I'm no artist, but it was a fun way to spend a night drinking on /mlp/. Supposed to be some dude zebra-fied too, so that just made it more fun. Nothing like defiling OCs to pass the time.
>>2454 I was poking around the CYOA thread a while ago because there was literally nothing else going on on the board. Someone ""'accidentally""" posted the zebra, and well, I was really bored. Then Anons just kept requesting more bits and pieces.
>>5203 I was always kind of amazed that you had the patience for such detailed oekaki work. Makes me think there's some potential.Oh, and how is Mixed Nuts? I kind of always wanted to join.
>>5217 Really this. The key to getting good at drawing is to keep practicing and not stopping. If you do someting six gorillion times, you're bound to get decent at it. Also, study the techniques and continue to try new things. The more you explore, the more you'll understand how to make better drawings. If you're not good at something, practice it until you understand it.
>>5220 Thanks! I wasn't sure what to do with the background, so I just made a Gradient. >>5246 Really? I was going for sunset-themed colours, and I used MLPFIM background stallion(Because most main male equine characters in the show look like shit) screencaps as reference material for the eyes and face.
>>5250 It's the aesthetic of the solid red with the violet and gold trimming. The Taoist cutie mark seals the theme too. Reminds me of some of the rugs my grandmother brought back from China (pic not related, but you get the feel). It's pretty good though.
>>5251 >>5252 Thanks! His name is Sunrise Stardust. I'd planned to write him as the protagonist of an actually-good and lesbian-free Fallout Equestria fic better than the original. I was thinking Leader of the Black Stars, an equestrian nationalist group that breaks out of its unicorn-only Stable, and begins to violently rebuild the waste one obliterated raider camp and constructed settlement at a time.
Tried developing a new art style so I can actually draw on my computer using my Wacom I bought 2 years ago but never used it much. Here's some attempt at me drawing my character from SWTOR using the said art style.
>>16708 I was actually considering I'd draw my and my friends characters as ponies, just for fun and giggles and to see how well I'd fare doing something new.
