Honestly this thread was kind of borderline, I was considering just deleting it when I saw it, but we usually leave these kinds of threads alone if they actually start generating meaningful discussion. However there's also kind of a thin line between not censoring but also trying to maintain a basic level of quality, and threads like "fuck wammen" and "fuck naggers" and so forth tend to be pretty low-brow.

I would say maybe just try to keep in mind that this isn't 4chan and threads here have a much longer lifespan. An active thread on /pol/ lasts maybe an hour tops, and an inactive thread is usually off the board in 5-10 minutes. The occasional low-quality thread would be fine if we had that kind of speed. However, threads here tend to be up for a long time; even completely inactive threads usually take a few weeks to drop out of the catalog. So bear in mind that anything you post is probably going to be with us for quite some time. The occasional shitpost is fine, but if you want to start a serious thread it's usually worth it to put a little bit of work into the OP post.

While I believe that there should be space for basically all relevant kinds of discussion in a given community including negative ones, artificially inflating the negative tone of the cultural zeitgeist is going to have massive impact on the general wellbeing of the group. Just think of how many people take the percieved predominant views and opinions of society around them as their starting point in their reasoning process. Or notice some of that in your own life. It actually gets a bit uncomfortable to realize it and notice those thought patterns.

Anyway, this clearly goes back to the Emotion (Rhetoric) vs Logic conflict that's been going on at least since ancient Greek times. They're using a tool for control that has no restraints on it, and they're using it for evil and destructive ends.

Well, I don't think of woman as whores, and I don't think he does either, really, but I can agree with his underlining sentiment. Basically, female sexuality is to give their bodies to men in exchange for protection and care, essentially selling their bodies for power. I don't actually judge woman for this. Men's sexuality is to impregnate as many woman as possible and the ones with the best genetics for birthing and breastfeeding gets priority. One could argue that both these things are both ugly and good but I choose to just see it as an amoral sort of thing, it just is.

I actually did. I took a moment for your sake and went through why I felt the way I felt. What I came up with was that, while I haven't been perfect in my life, it really wasn't so much about me. Some was but most of it just comes from my conviction in my beliefs because they seem true.
