Whether your last week was as nice as I'd hope it was, or whether it wasn't, we gather again for more Ponies and other assorted Shenanigans.
I popped one six minute political video in there because it's mlpol. I'm going as middle of the ground as I can. It's Thomas Sowell, so it's still a bit normie-tier-spicy. There are a pair of Fluttershy videos in here, and I stumbled on to a theme of different covers of "Welcome To The Show". I made sure to add what looked like a clip of it from the movie that I found on YouTube.
I have about two screens worth of tabs open on my main browser again already. There's a memory leak in my habits, but the browser's tabs are still at least being relatively responsive.
Regarding the Emote list, that could use some work. I just have to make time and really buckle down on it for a while, but that's been tough for me for the last couple weeks. I'm slipping in my habits a bit.
ReBoot - Now we've reunited with Bob, Bob fused with Glitch to be some kind of limited deus ex machina god-character, and Matrix and Andrea are bringing a crew of pirates, and their ship with them. I picked the last item on the list to try to help set the tone for this. I think this is the week we get to re-watch that fight scene with proper context.
ReBoot Episodes36 (v3.4.1) - Megaframe 3 January 1998 (Canada)
The
Saucy Mare arrives to a heavily damaged Mainframe, under the control of Megabyte. They are in preparation for an assault on the Principal Office and Bob gets abducted by Hexadecimal.
Cultural references: Some of the binomes in the beginning resemble the Sailor Scouts from the anime Sailor Moon. One of Megabytes officer's remarks "Those rebel scum. Will they never learn?"—a line commonly used in Star Wars media. The code that Megabyte extracts from Phong translates from ASCII to the phrase "YADDAYADDAYADDA!" – exclamation point included.
37 (v3.4.2) - Showdown 10 January 1998 (Canada)
Reunited with friends and family, Dot, AndrAIa, Mouse, Matrix and their group of binome rebels begin to invade the Principal Office, where Megabyte and his army await. Meanwhile Hexadecimal holds Bob against his will until he voluntarily does something benevolent for her. Matrix faces Megabyte alone before he escapes the system.
Cultural references: The
Saucy Mare's destruction (and the conversation between the captain and AndrAIa afterwards) is a reference to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Hex's response to Bob when he offers to heal her is taken from H.A.L. protesting his system's shutdown in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Now that that's set up
(I sure hope I got the colourshift thing to work properly) I'd like to invite you all in to the room. The pony theme for the week is going to be something quick that is at least somewhat themed. How about... the mouth pieces! I started saving the ones I saw back when I was arguing with people on the internet. I probably don't have a "complete" collection, but I've got about 20, with only one that's an edit-duplicate of another.
