/MLPOL/ Movie Night
We like movie nights on Fridays. These movie nights are usually prefaced with a Pre-Stream event before we watch a movie or two, which is then normally followed by several episodes of Ponies.
Registering an account on the streaming sites we go to is not required.
The Pre-Stream for the Movie Night usually starts at 7:00pm EST.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl is the normal room for the Pre-Stream.
The Movie Night proper usually starts at around 8:00pm or 8:30pm EST.
Location varies depending on various factors.
Last full Movie Night thread: >>34962
Previous improvised Movie Night thread:
>>349623 →
This new thread was made almost entirely because the change of OP image to something that was not a theatre screen, or anything that implied watching a movie was bugging me. We hit the bump limit on the second movie night thread, so someone quickly made a new thread so that the Movie Night announcement could be at the top of the catalogue.
Also, I fucked up the link to the last full Movie Night thread. It should be
>>316007 →. I'm not sure how that mistake happened.
The Pre-Stream room will be opened at 7pm, and the pre-stream will begin once people start to arrive. That's 30 minutes from now.
To go with the MILF theme of last week, the Pony of the Week this week is Button's Mom, Cream Heart. MILFposting is encouraged.
>>350058I whole heartedly approve.
>>350059>Trying to contain excitement
Currently continuing the movie night with Totally Legit Recap episodes while I try to fuck around with OBS and get something running on Pon3.Stream.
The Pre-Stream + Main Stream night seemed to go well. I never did get Pon3Stream working right I think the problem is on their end but we watched a bunch of the Totally Legit Recap playlist. We ended the night on the Season 8 finale about Cozy Glow. I don't know off the top of my head how much time is left on the playlist, but I doubt it'll be much more than an hour and a bit.
If I can get Streaming from my computer to a third party streaming site to work properly, then I can pull up movies, but I can't guarantee that. If people can figure out how I can point CyTube to my computer's files as a direct download link, or if they know of any way on the internet that I can make a direct link work, that'd be great. Otherwise, all I can hope for is that someone who has a better understanding of how to stream comes around again.
See you horsefuckers next week!
>>350079Goodnight Flappy. Thanks for the stream.
Alright, so I think I've got the technical side of Pon3.Stream running on my end. Last Friday, it just wouldn't work for some reason. I'm still not sure why. I assume it was a problem on Pon3.Stream's end, since all I did to test it today was click the "Go Live" button on my streaming program.
I was able to stream video from my computer to Pon3.Stream, and watch it simultaneously in a browser that was tuned to the stream channel.
With luck, we'll watch through our normal hour-and-a-bit of pre-stream content, and then a movie or two before it's time for a few episodes of Ponies Proper.
If the regular movie streamer is absent again this week, then just know that we'll be ending a bit early, since I usually can't stay up late enough for the full stream length.
Pony of the week is Cozy Glow.
Major animation for the Pre-Stream will be "The Folly Of Celestia" by FOB Equestria.
After approximately 1h 15m of the Pre-Stream, we will continue the rest of the Totally Legit Recap playlist. We'll start with the Season 8 finale, starring Cozy Glow.
If the Stream group wants, I'll then aim to stream stuff on Pon3.Stream and send the stream to the CyTube room, so we can keep shitposting with our expanded emotes.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylPre-Stream will start when people arrive.
Sorry, it completely slipped my mind but I am at EFNW this week and will be absent from movie night again. Next week we should be back to our regular schedule. Sorry about the late notice.
>>350468>EFNWWe still have meatspace conventions going on?! God-damn. Now that I have money and can afford to travel a bit, I've been itching to go to one.
See you next week. Post some of the Pony Merch you picked up after you're done.
>>350470This is my haul so far.
Out of curiosity, is anyone joining the movie nights only on pon3.stream? We could probably easily plug it in to CyTube if we want to have access to more chat options.
>>350795If it works, don't fix it.
More work for the host, negligible advantage.
>>350795Sounds like a great idea.
Movie is still TBA, but just letting everyone know that I am back and will be resuming hosting duties for movie night, unless anyone strenuously objects. Unless I hear something different, I'm just going to assume that Flappy will be doing his pre-show and we will switch over to my stream for movies and whatnot whenever he wraps things up.
Also: I haven't really been paying attention to the programs during my absence, so I'm curious where we're at with the pony episodes. If you guys have continued to watch the series we can start wherever you left off; otherwise I'm just going to continue with the Japanese dub from my last stream I will have to check the previous threads because I forgot where we left off.
>>351025The Pre-Stream will continue this week as normal.
There was some difficulty with getting Pon3.Stream to work right a week or two ago. I'm reasonably confident the problem was on their end, since I used the same settings and got a test stream to work. Last week, we ended up watching a puppet/comedy show after the MLP stuff.
I don't have the later seasons of MLP in an offline copy, so we didn't watch episodes. (I just don't know which version of the season to download from yayponies, since I don't really understand the differences. Analysis paralysis is a bit of a problem for me.) We've watched through the whole "Totally Legit Recap" series in order over a couple of weeks, and that's run out.
ETA for the beginning of the Pre-Stream is a bit over half an hour. See you horsefuckers soon.
>>351025>I'm curious where we're at with the pony episodesI think the last episode we watched was the one with the stupid fucking breezies, during the first stream where you weren't here.
>>351034>Breezie episodeOh, right. I used a link to ponytube or something like that to play the episode.
>>351034Alright, I'll start up after the breezy episode then. I think that was only one batch ahead of where we were. That should put us at Eps 17-20 of S4 for tonight.
>>351031>I just don't know which version of the season to download from yayponies, since I don't really understand the differences. Analysis paralysis is a bit of a problem for meIf it helps, the ones I have are the iTunes Raw US version, which is just the episodes in 1080p without anything extra added. I don't know what the Scootaloo Remastered version is, the TV Rips I imagine are just ripped directly from TV broadcasts
probably nostalgic for people who originally watched it on The Hub. The Color Corrected by ZR version is (I think) just the episodes in HD with the saturation cranked up past eleven, which I guess is fine if you like your cartoons to give you insulin shock but personally I think it looks a bit weird. If you are okay with the versions of the episodes we were watching when we first watched through the series in English, go with the iTunes Raw.
Pony of the week for this week is Maud Pie.
The pre-stream will have about an hour and twenty minutes of content. The major content of this week's stream is a documentary on SoGreatAndPowerful. I've also placed a new SGaP-style PMV right after it.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylStream will start after arrivals show up.
Alrighty, here is the full program for the evening:
Merrie Melodies: Don't Know What You're Doin! (1931)
Our Gang: Moan and Groan Inc (19...30 I think)
Strangers on a Train (1951)
An Alfred Hitchcock classic. Not affiliated with Hitch's cock.
HOEERERSDSSS
In Glorious TohoScope™
Eps 17-20
>>351043Program will commence following Flappy's stream.
SGaP Documentary is on now.
>>351043"Strangers on a Train" is a fable about avoiding verbal contracts so you don't get taken advantage of or have misunderstandings. Whether it's giving money for a divorce or agreeing to do each others' murders, always have it in writing.
>>351070I never kill anyone without a written contract that has been signed and notarized.
>>351070Would get hors lawyer and contract pone for all contract needs.
While we're still a ways off, I wanted to take a quick opinion poll and see how you guys feel about something I've been contemplating. Once S4 wraps up, we are officially out of moon-rune pone episodes, since no further seasons appear to have been dubbed into Japanese. I'm probably going to see if I can find another foreign-language dub of the show we can watch, and if all else fails we can watch the remaining seasons in English, but when S4 concludes I was thinking of making a slight change to the program and I wanted to see how you guys felt about it.
Instead of watching 4 MLP episodes per evening, I was thinking of cutting it down to 2 pony episodes, and 2 episodes of something else, probably something else animated. At one point, someone proposed we watch the old Samurai Jack series, which I would be 100% on board with since I loved those and haven't seen them in years. Powerpuff Girls had occurred to me as an option as well, and I also have a large collection of anime and quite a few other things we could look at.
I wanted to get you guys' thoughts on the subject. Should we continue watching all-pony for now, or would you be amenable to doing a pony + some other cartoon?
>>351263>I was thinking of cutting it down to 2 pony episodes, and 2 episodes of something else, probably something else animated.It sounds good to me to introduce variety. I don't know about the samurai, but I'm willing to watch.
>>351263Sounds like a good idea to me.
Tonight's Schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Love a Parade
Our Gang: Shivering Shakespeare
Sphere (1998)The prequel to Cube.
マイリトルポニー~トモダチは魔法 ~ KAWAII PONY DESU ~ S4 eps 21-24
Presumably we will start around the usual time, following Flappy's preshow. Hope to see everypone there.
>>351638>The prequel to Cube.KEK
>>351638>SphereNoice. I'll do my best to be early.
Putting the playlist together now. Show will start in about half an hour.
I'm going to be dipping out after the pre-stream to meet up with some of the guys from work, so I'll at least miss a few hours of the rest of the stream.
Since I'll be dipping out, I'm thinking of trying to give mod privileges for the CyTube room to either Occult or Elway.
Pony of the week is CommieHoers.
>>351263I'm happy to watch non-pony content along with Pony content. Maybe even watching some Equestria Girls stuff, too. I always thought the reason we were watching random movies that were usually old and not the current popular thing was to avoid the deeper internet Intellectual Property bots.
Samurai Jack is a good pick. I still haven't gotten around to watching the new season yet. I'd also like to suggest the 1997 Berserk series, because it's largely about the bonds of friendship, and hope. I also have a modest collection of fan content for Berserk similar to my MLP stash. One of those things was a telling of Berserk's story using all available video media that could be found, from the 1997 animation, to the 2012 movies, to the 2016 adaptation (when necessary), to the videogames, and I don't know if he added fan animations to it.
The one thing that I would like to push for here is that no matter what we keep Pony as our primary anchor here. I worry a bit that without that core theme, this will just be a generic movie stream that'll lose it's identity. Getting more pony content in general (and fan-made pony stuff in particular) was part of what motivated me to start the pre-stream. Another thing was that I often have a hard time sticking around and staying awake to the end of the streams when they go really late.
>>351643>Since I'll be dipping out, I'm thinking of trying to give mod privileges for the CyTube room to either Occult or Elway.Occult is probably the better choice for that since I don't really know anything about how cytube works.
>>351644>I always thought the reason we were watching random movies that were usually old and not the current popular thing was to avoid the deeper internet Intellectual Property bots.That actually hadn't even occurred to me, but we might actually be benefitting from that. I usually just show the kinds of movies I like, which tend to be old classics and pre-2015 stuff. There's been very few recent movies I've had any interest in seeing, I think the last thing I paid to see in theaters was Joker.
>The one thing that I would like to push for here is that no matter what we keep Pony as our primary anchor here. I worry a bit that without that core theme, this will just be a generic movie stream that'll lose it's identity.I'm in favor of this. I think the pony content is a good anchor, I'm mostly just trying to add a little variety so we don't start to burn out watching the same FiM episodes over and over. EqG had occurred to me too, I think there was a whole series made that I've never watched. There is also apparently a second batch of G1 episodes that we didn't see because I didn't know they existed, as well as a G3 cartoon we could check out. The new G5 series might be worth doing as well. I also have a bunch of anime and random cartoons we can add to the list for the non-pony part.
Winning ideas in the stream chat so far: Twilight getting drunk and changing everyone to look like G1, and the shenanigans to undo it.
>She can't undo it because she isn't drunk like before, so they're stuck like that. (Ending 1)
>She undoes it, but turns everyone to earth ponies. (Ending 2)
>She gets drunk again to try to get in the right frame of mind to undo it.
>The same, but paired with Starlight Glimmer
>Then Starlight says "Let's go back in time!"
>And goes back too far to the time of the laser raptors
>And they fuck up the timeline and have to fix it.
>But they are once again too drunk to remember what they did.
Next time, they try this, but with a dedicated Tard Wrangler who tries to keep them on task
[19:55:14] I imagine either Celestia as the Tard Wrangler or someone like Fluttershy
Celestia is used to dealing with a Twilight that's young and not super-smart yet, and Fluttershy has the vibe that she'd try to gently keep people on track and otherwise be unobtrusive, which is important for channeling creativity
[19:56:31] Celestia might have the issue of triggering Twilight's hero worship
Fluttershy trying to babysit her drunk friends would be pretty funny. like that episode where she had to babysit the CMC, but it's a bunch of foul-mouthed drunk adults instead
[19:58:42] soapone: johnelwaynigger: it wouldn't bother her, because of how often she is around animals talking about fucking
A relatively unedited idea worth preserving, I think.
Everyponer, the stream continues at Cytube:
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Main stream has moved to JoshWho
https://www.joshwhotv.com/live/1/_60a86255e9759/1You can also watch in cytube if you want, that seems to be where the main chat is
>>351654
I have an hour and thirteen minutes in the playlist for this week.
Pony of the week is Shining Armor / Gleaming Shield.
What ended up happening last week? It looks like there was a fair bit of shuffling around.
Wow, it's surprisingly hard to find solo Shining pics.
>>352202What we basically came up with is that going forward, I'm just going to use JoshWho for the movie stream since their service tends to be a little more reliable than Pon3. However, we are going to just pipe the stream into cytube and use that for viewing/chatting since it's a superior shitposting environment, and doesn't require people to create a login to participate in chat. So basically, we won't have to switch rooms anymore; you can run your stream, and when you're finished we add my stream to the playlist and I run through our usual program.
Anyway, I'm still getting things together, but I should have the program for tonight's movie stream up in a minute.
Apologies for the lack of a full 5 images. I've been trying to have 5 images on announcement posts, but I'm a bit lacking in organization of my image folders today.
Stream can begin:
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Alrighty, here is tonight's program:
Loony Tunes: Ride Him Bosko
Our Gang: The First Seven Years
The Three Amigos (1986)Chevy Chase is perhaps the most underrated comedian of the 20th century.
マイリトルポニー~トモダチは魔法 ~ KAWAII PONY DESU ~ Tonight will sadly be the final episodes of Nipponyos, as the Japs only dubbed them through season 4. We will be watching episodes 25 and 26 of S4, which are the last two episodes of the season.
Samurai JackEpisodes 1 and 2. Figured I'd start SJ this week since we only have 2 pony eps tonight anyway.
Flappy's stream should be wrapping up at around 5:30 and then we will begin. The entire stream will be taking place in cytube tonight, here is the link again:
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
I have the playlist ready to go now. We should have a good variety of music and some short animations and shitpost videos. The highlights of this week include a special album. Do you remember the AcoustiMandoBrony songs? Kindness, Loyalty, et cetera? Well, one of the artists is going by "RE:MAKE" now, and ended up finishing the set of songs. I was waiting forever for the rest of that song series to be released, so I grouped them all up in the pre-stream.
Here's the link to the playlist for your own bookmarks:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kRFWkOfUtzrn5RypmAHG8rTQtOma4ZDpYPony Of The Week this week is Cheerilee.
As to why I nearly always post SFW images for the Pony Of The Week, it's because I often download a bunch more images just before making these posts, and I store my SFW images and NSFW images in different parts of my computer.
The Pre-Stream will begin in approximately 30 minutes from now.
Evening all, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Bosko in Person
Our Gang: When the Wind Blows
Suicide Circle (2002)
Korean movie, someone recommended it a couple of times.
Pony Tiem
Back to English pones for now. We will be watching S5 eps 1 and 2.
Samurai Jack
Episodes 2 and 3
We will once again be using the cytube room for everything, so the movie stream will begin once Flappy's playlist concludes.
Thanks everyone. Goodnight!
I nominate "Project Grizzly" which is about a giga-chad who builds a special armor suit to get up close and personal with grizzly bears.
I nominate Real Steel, a cool movie about boxers and robots.
>>350055I Nominate Jin Roh it's an animated movie about if the axis won ww2
I nominate Hotel Transylvania because it's the last day before spookymonth, it's a cutesy childfriendly thing like MLP, and while I have a lot of serious films I'd like to recommend they just doesn't seem very appropriate for a spooky season bronytard intewnet fwen movie night. If you want something serious though and not Halloweeny since it's technically just spooky season and not spukmonth I'd nominate Under Sandet/This Land of Mine which is about young German POW's forced to clear mines off the coast of Denmark after WW2 under the supervision of a much older more experienced Allied sergeant.
I nominate myself to be early to catch the movie from the very beginning.
I have an hour of Music ready to go. I can add some animations to the end of this playlist later if the room wants.
The Pre-Stream room is open, and we are ready to go. Your spot is ready.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylPony of the Week is Photo Finish.
Hello all, sorry about the late notice. Here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Mountain Men
Our Gang: Bear Shooters
Ravenous (1999)
MLP: S5 e03 and 04
Samurai Jack: eps 5 and 6
Stream will be in the cytube room as soon as Flappy's playlist concludes.
I was late again but at least I've got my pone doze. Thanks.
I nominate Disneyland–Mars and Beyond (1957)
For pre-movie cartoons, I nominate Swing You Sinners. Bimbo's Initiation and Minnie the Moocher would also be good picks for October.
Afternoon, gents. Tonight's movie schedule is:
Swing, You Sinners! (1930)
Our Gang: A Tough Winter
Disneyland - Mars and Beyond (1957)Suggestion from
>>353484 . Since this feature is only 52 minutes long, there will also be a short surprise feature in between Mars & Beyond and the pony segment.
My Little PonyS5 eps 5 and 6.
Samurai JackEps VII and VIII

There are some videos / albums / animation series' that I want to put in that could take the time for the pre-stream to over an hour. I'm thinking of a particular audio drama that I stumbled on this week that's mostly 35-45 minute episodes. What's the thread's verdict on putting those longer things in as the mainstay of the pre-stream before the movie? It could be like when we were watching the Anthologies in place of one of the two movies.
What up, chumps and chumpettes. As usual I'm a late sleeper and running behind schedule, but movie night will proceed on time and under budget. Programming will be announced shortly.
If no one objects, I think I'm going to show a bit more of the Dark Eye playthrough, and I will try to find a reasonably spoopy movie.
Things have started, but the stream is still in the early stages. Lots of promise, but the real meat of the Pre-Stream for this week is still to come.
MLPOL Presents: Nightmare Spoopy Night, Episode 2
Bimbo's Initiation (1931)
The Dark Eye (1995) Episode 2: Annabel Lee (short poem), The Cask of Amontillado (part 2), The Telltale Heart (part 1)
Due to time constraints I'm going to hold off on the Our Gang shorts for October in favor of showing The Dark Eye. This is a judgement call on my part; TDE is a brilliant little-known game that I think everyone should experience, but it's extremely difficult to install and run on modern machines. I remember there were some people who were trying to install it on my recommendation a couple of years ago and they couldn't get it to work. Anyway, unless there's a huge public outcry about it, I'm going to run The Dark Eye for spooptober, and we'll resume with Our Gang next month.
Nosferatu the First Vampyre (1979)
To kill the goth kids, you must first kill the original goth kid.
My Spooky Little Pony
The ghost of Lauren Faust rises from the grave to bring you these terrifying tales of terror: S5, episodes 7 and 8.
Samurai Jack-O-Lantern
Episodes IX and X. The Roman numerals make it extra-spooky.
Program will commence as soon as Flappy's very frightening pre-stream wraps up. WoooOOoOoOOOoOooOooOoooh....
Putting this week's pre-stream playlist together now. Haven't picked a Pony Of The Week yet.
>>354154These dubs say the pony of the week is Bulk Biceps.
Movie list will be up shortly.

https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Here is tonight's very spooky program:
Minnie the Moocher (1932)
The Dark Eye (1995) Episode 3: The Telltale Heart (part 2), The Masque of the Red Death, Berenice (part 1)
Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932)
Starring Bela Lugosi. Bears almost no resemblance to the Poe story but is still a fun movie.
My Terrifyingly Small Pony (666 AD)
S5 eps 9 and 10
Samurai Jack of the Damned
Eps XI and XII
Program will commence at the stroke of the witching hour, or the conclusion of Flappy's playlist; whichever comes first.
Stream will start soon. In related news, I should get back in to the habit of putting the playlists together on a day other than Friday.
Pony of the week is anything spooky!
Stream Room is open.
Maybe we should have another stream closer to Spook Night so I can put a different playlist together.
Either way, come and gather round so we can all have a good time.
Pony theme here is "Halloween Costumes".

STREAM NIGHT IS RUNNING
MOVE QUICKLY TO STAY AHEAD AND STAY ALIVE
Today I watched "on Western front no news" aka PoV of a young student, aka black pilled forest gump. Very sad movie that showcases the tragedy of war and people involved in it. I recommend watching it at your leisure. You don't watch this movie. You live through it. Through every body turned to shreds and every comrade lost. It mesmerises you to the point of feeling great emotional pain for other people.
>>355020Just out of curiosity, are you talking about "All Quiet on the Western Front?" Because that was also a novel, and the novel is good too.
If you don't mind watching something >Fr*nch, I recommend Les Tontons flingueurs.

>>355231That makes the jew angle even more obvious. Nice! I wish the UK had its own funny language like foreign places or the simlish brits speak in Age of Empires.
I hear Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance in Slovenia was called Invisible Horse Rider, Weekend At Bernie's was called This Dead Person Is Very Alive in Spanish, and Boogie Nights was called His Powerful Device Makes Him Famous in China. That last one sounds like the title of a shit youtube storytime animation/chinese comic dub/shitty anime recap that somehow has 2 million views.
Most ironic of all, Lost In Translation's name was lost in translation when they decided to call it Lost On Tokyo in Spain.
>>355355>I wish the UK had its own funny language like foreign places

I think Spain is just a little ahead tho. Kamehameha was called V I T A L W A V E or some bullshit at some point.
>>355381Always wondered how they'd translate Kamehameha in other languages. The pun "Total Destruction Wave/Turtle Destruction Wave" works in english, in japanese the joke is that Kamehameha sounds like the Hawaiian god Kamehameha.

I think I may have found a viable English subtitled version of The Tonton Flingers, but I have to check it to make sure it plays correctly. Assuming it works, our movie for tonight will be:
The Tonton Flingers (1963 or something I think)
Something something France, something something we surrender.
In the event that this movie is not playable, I have another surprise backup feature queued.
And either way, we will finish up the evening with:
MLP
S5, eps 16 and 17.
Samurai Jack
Eps 17 and 18.
Program will commence at the usual time, following Flappy's stream. Hope to see you all there.
Pre-Stream will be a bit late tonight. I'm getting a bit held up.
Power outage. Posting from phone now. I'll call it a night unless I get power back soon.
I watched the /mlp/ anniversary stream on cytu.be and have stuck around for the afterparty stream but it kinda sucks because among the few regulars are:
A gaynigger/niggerfaggot
A halfnigger racemixing faggot
A tranny turned femboy
A spic
A pedo who says they aren't
A fillyfiddler
A supposed IRL-horse-fucker
A bipolar lesbodyke
Some of the other regulars are cool but there's too many degenerates there. Why don't we have our own notfag 24/7 cytu.be room?
>>355799Average 4chan meetup.
>>355799I think it accurately reflects the state of the fandom at this point, especially on 4trans.
Bronydom has always been an all-inclusive group that would embrace just about anybody. Now that the fandom is nearly dead and 90% of those with any sort of normalcy have moved on to greener pastures, we're left with the dregs of the dregs. I've noticed that /mlp/ has become significantly more degenerate in the past few years and only seems to accelerate it's death spiral even more every year.
Things like nigger shit, troon shit, blatant pedophilia and zoophilia, etc., have come to be openly tolerated by many anons there and the janny trannies that quietly encourage it all.
>>355800This.
>>355802I still use it, tbh.
>inb4 just use /mlpol/Well, I use this place a lot too, but I also like reading fresh greentext and saving cute mare pics to my folders, in abundance.
>>355807>I also like reading fresh greentext and saving cute mare pics to my foldersUnderstandable. If you're patient enough to sift through the trash to find gems, then more power to you.
I, too, am hopelessly addicted the dopamine-oxytocin rush of seeing a cute mare and then saving said cute mare.
I love mares.
So, uh, have you guys watched "The Last Unicorn" yet?
>>355911I haven't, but I'd like to.
>>355911I saw it back in middle school.
>>355911I saw it in the mlp anniversary afterparty stream.
>>355911We've watched a few times I think, but I don't think anyone will complain about watching it again.
Sure, what the hell; it's a good movie. Tonight's movie will be:
The Last Unicorn (1982)I'll have the rest of the schedule up in a couple of hours.
>>355950Apparently I wasn't signed in, but this is me.
Anthology 7.20 came out a little while ago, so I'm making that the bulk of what we'll be watching tonight, after the traditional music stuff that we normally start the stream nights on. I'm also putting on one video that I saw today about how abjectly retarded many people in the public here, but I'm willing to skip past it if the room finds it too irrelevant or un-fun.
Pony of the week is Screwball.
>>355950For whatever it's worth, I haven't seen The Last Unicorn yet. I think I vaguely heard a plot summary or discussion about it, but I don't have any mental images that get conjured up when I hear that title.
Here is tonight's full schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Bosko's Picture Show
Our Gang: School's Out
The Last Unicorn (1982)
My Little Pony
S5 eps 18 and 19
Samurai Jack
Eps 19 and 20
Program will start as usual at the end of Flappy's stream.
Room is open. We'll start once we have a few active users in there.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl>>355799I left the CyTube room unlocked the first time, and I came back to find dozens of hours of Chinese propaganda videos queued up on repeat. It was also empty when I came back to it.
What I think this means is that vandalism is too likely, and that there wouldn't be enough interest to keep the room populated at all times. Is the afterparty stream still going? I thought they said they were going to close the room after only 3 days.
I can see about making a separate 24/7 room for general horsefuckery shenanigans, but I'd prefer keeping my main room dedicated to this movie night. I can make and manage multiple rooms with my CyTube account.
Aaand That's a wrap for the week!
Thanks again to Elway for running the second half of the stream.
See you all same time next week.
I nominate "A Boy and his Dog"
Happy post-Thanksgiving, gents. Here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies:
Our Gang:
A Boy and his Dog (1975)Suggested by
>>356088MLP:S5 eps 20 and 21
Samurai JackEpisodes 21 and 22
Stream will begin as usual after Flappy's concludes; same bat time, same bat channel. Hope to see you all there.
I'm a little late on the stream tonight. Sorry about that.
You know the drill, the room is open, and festivities will start when we have a good handful of people there. Looking forwards to chatting with you soon.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylPony of the Week is some slides of a barely-sorted clop folder.
>>356152>>356154Thank you both for everything.
I found a cytu.be room, how long has it been dead and can I become a mod of it so I can queue shit?
https://cytu.be/r/mlpol_party_room
Hi guys, Flappy here. Movie night will start a bit late. I got my car today and have been running around for a while. I'll be ready for movie night shortly
Hey all I’m really sorry for the late notice, but something came up and I can’t show a movie tonight. I will be back next week.
>>356293Noted. I'll see what I can whip up.
>>356293Thanks for dropping by to give us an update.
ANNOUNCEMENT - I'll be livestreaming the movie stuff tonight as well.
Terry Pratchett - Hogfather [2006]
For our primary feature, I picked something Christmas-y. Also, it's Terry Pratchett's stuff. I have high expectations for this.
Miniature Horse Adventures
We'll be watching two episodes from Season 3. Too Many Pinkie Pies [S03E03], and One Bad Apple [S03E04].
Surprise Anime
Then, we have two episodes of a surprise anime. I think this would be a good submission for the regular nights once we've run through Samurai Jack. You'll really see why once we see the second episode. I'm putting in Episode 1 to establish the setting and characters, followed by Episode 9, because that one has a specific scene I think was funny.
For future movies I nominate:
Nope by Jordan Peele
Violent Night
Fatman
Silent Night, Bloody Night
Will you play 'Gay Niggers from Outer Space' next time?
It's the only movie that my autistic grandson likes and he just loves your streams.
It would mean a lot.
>>356329Playing news clips is a bit over kill dontcha think?
>>356333Yeah, but the little rascal just keeps hollering about how he wants to watch the gay niggers with all the cool Internet guys here. He really looks up to y'all.
He's still grounded because he missed the last 'stream' and just kept screaming and kicking the walls because of it. I don't even know what a snowpity is; he just kept screaming and crying about it for almost an hour!
Please, can't you watch the movie for Jason?
>>356335Are you trolling here, or are you serious? I'm actually not sure. Depending on how old your grandson is, I'm not sure these streams are entirely appropriate for a child to watch. Not really for the movies that we see, but for the chat. Even in this thread, I just slap porn on my announcement posts sometimes. I've even sometimes put some explicit music in the pre-streams.
I've heard of the movie before and don't think I'd mind watching it. From what I understand, it's a very cheesy and cheaply made science fiction movie. Cheaply made in the sense that they use a LOT of tin foil in the construction of their sets. I don't know if the movie contains any nudity or what the plot is.
For the record, I only streamed last week because Elway was out of commission for Life reasons. I don't mind streaming again, it just might get to be a bit much to the Pre-Stream and the main movie night all together. I sometimes have a hard time staying up to the end of the movie night for scheduling and time zone reasons.
This week, I'm assuming that Elway will be back as usual unless I hear otherwise. I'll try to get something ready so we have a smoother transition from the YouTube stream to the livestream this time just in case. I like how Elway has the animated background and lounge music as a transition, and how his media program plays through the playlist like it's supposed to. I think I need to tinker with mine a bit more before I can get it to work. I'm using MPC-HC right now, and I might check to see if I can substitute WinAmp in there or something.
>>356380>nu-fagThe autistic britbong's name is Jason.
>>356380Jason just turned twenty last month. He can watch adult content as long as he's well behaved. It usually isn't a problem as long as the stuff doesn't "inspire" him. I let him watch the angry clown movie and he got so mad the next time I took away his laptop that he hit me in the head with his "uno hole" or something and it almost knocked me down. He kept screaming "you get what you frigging deserve!"
He's not allowed to watch that movie anymore.
Thankfully the gay niggers haven't inspired him to do anything inappropriate yet. LOL!
He's been terribly upset because of the midterms lately, but the gay nigger movie always makes him laugh and y'all have been such a good influence on him. It means so much and I don't know what Jason would do without you lovely young men as mentors.
Thank you.
>>356384>Jason just turned twenty last month.I see. For some reason, anytime I hear "grandchild", my brain imagines a kid no older than 12.
>>356392You are genuinely retarded aren't you?
>>356392It's okay. I guess it's just how most people see things, even here. I just spot in from time to time make sure Jason isn't getting sucked into something crazy. Yes, he's older than one might expect, but he really can't help it.
He's a good boy with a disability and he just loves it so much here. He talks about all the time and show me all the memes from so often. It makes him so happy that he almost seem "normal".
I really hope you can watch that movie with him. He really thinks the world of you guys. I was mortified about his internet history at first, but I see how accepted he feels here and I just hate to seem cut off.
>>356392>>356393Cultural connotations.
"Father" sounds fancier than "Dad" for better or worse, while "Baby" and "Daddy" sound too much like a sex thing thanks to those fucking degenerate jews raping our language.
>>356395No thanks, brit gg. I'd rather continue using your language like I use ur womenz.
>>356400You will never be white
>>356401Damn it, Jason. I taught you better than to take obvious bait. A more appropriate response would be:
>using your language like I use ur womenzPoorly and not at all irl.
>>356401>>356402Language evolves over time. Think of it like white genetics with immigration.
>>356412So, our language will degenerate into spicoid garbage if we don't control it?
Based Nigel keeping things pure, unlike your ancestors.
To manage expectations, I haven't managed to get a copy of the Gay Niggers in Outer Space movie yet. I'll quickly see if I can find a copy of it after I get home from work, but I make no promises on it being streamed tonight. The next backup plan after that is grabbing those other Terry Pratchett movies from that mega link and watching those. If I somehow can't get the download done in time, then I can put something together like last week.
That's all assuming that Elway is going to be busy or indisposed again this week. Otherwise, the Pre-Stream should go on as usual.
>>356438Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. It's even on YouTube! No wonder I wasn't finding any torrents on PirateBay!
That'll be a really easy add on a technical level. It's logistically simple, since I can do this without needing to co-ordinate with Elway. That it's only half an hour makes it easy to fit in the schedule, too.
I'll put it at the end of the normal pre-stream, and we can watch this before the main movie.
The room is open, and the stream will start once we have a good crowd going.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylI'm trying to get things ready for the second part of the night where I might need to stream, but the technical details are probably best discussed in the stream chat.
The Pony Of The Week for this week is Nasapone.
With no word from Elway, I'm going to be doing the streaming again. The selections for the night are as follows:
Highlander 1 [30th Anniversary Edition] [1986]
It involves swordfights between immortals in the modern day, or so I've heard. Also, it's an 80's movie.
Exploring Tiny Equines
Two more episodes from Season 3. Magic Duel [S03E05] and Sleepless in Ponyville [S03E06]
Ghost Stories [2000]
The surprise anime from last week, we'll be watching episodes 2 and 3.
>>356448Well it looks like my ISP or some connection from them has fucked up so probably means I can't come back on. Hope you enjoy the rest of Highlander though.
There can be only one!
I've got the Pre-Stream Playlist set up, and now I'm prepping a Stream playlist in case Elway is going to be out of commission again.
As usual, we'll start the Pre-Stream at 7pm EST, or whenever we have 4-ish people in the room.
Ponies of the week will be various odds and ends ponies.
Evening gents, here are tonight's selections:
Merrie Melodies: Buddy's Day Out
Our Gang: Love Business
Bubba Ho-Tep (2002)
My Little Pony
S5 Episodes 22 & 23
Samurai Jack
Episodes 23 & 24
Program will commence following Flappy's stream, same bat time, same bat channel. Hope to see you all there.
>>356546Welcome back!
I'll save a playlist for the next time you need me to cover for you. I've got the rest of the Highlander movies that I want to get to at some point.
>>356547Awesome, thanks again for handling it last week.
The Sonic Boom episode "The Biggest Fan" parodies Chris-Chan.
Can that be shown on movie night some day?
>>356550I've seen a couple of those episodes. The show is surprisingly decent. I wouldn't mind watching through that show some time.
>>356550Oh I remember that episode, a really good one it is
>>356551As someone who watched it through, it is pretty good.
I stumbled across All Levels At Once's content earlier today, so I'm putting his MLP stuff, which is his The Pony Way [2012] album plus one or two other songs by him. I also mixed in a couple of songs by other artists. No animations this week as a result. I assume Elway will be here to do the main stream, but I believe I have a backup playlist prepared in case I need to step in and do the movie night portion of the stream myself.
I think I'll try making the stream night visible on the main page instead of leaving it unlisted. With luck, that'll mean more lively chats.
As usual, the pre-stream will start once the room populates.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylPony Theme of the week is Kirins
Movie list will be up in just a sec, still throwing stuff together
Movie Tiem! Since it's Christmas in a couple of days, tonight's program will be slightly different.
Here are tonight's selections:
Merrie Melodies: Got to Sing a Torch Song
Couldn't find an appropriate Christmas cartoon so we'll just be doing a regular short.
Mickey's Christmas Carol (1983)
I've elected to show this in place of the Little Rascals shorts tonight. Tis the season.
Die Hard (1988)
Bruce Willis maintains that this is a Christmas movie and I agree with him.
My Festive Pony
In lieu of our usual cartoon segment, we will be watching the G3 Twinkle Wish Adventure special + The Best Gift Ever, which evens out to roughly the length of our usual cartoon segment. FiM and Samurai Jack episodes will resume next week.
>>356740Wow it's Friday again, I forgot till you posted something
>>356741I've got news for ya, buddy. Friday's here AGAIN!!
As I haven't heard anything that would make me change my mind, I'll be running the pre-stream again starting in about 45 minutes. I'm making this early post so that people casually scrolling the front page of /mlpol/ and the /overboard/ will see it.
As our good friend Canada has so astutely pointed out, Friday is indeed upon us once again. Here is tonight's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Buddy's Beer Song
Our Gang: Little Daddy
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)
The thrilling action-adventure thriller that, along with Stephen King's "Christine," later inspired the Disney-Pixar classic "Cars."
Horse and Samurai Segment:
-MLP S5 eps 24 and 25
-Samurai Jack eps 27 and 28
Hope to see you all there.
...And it is now time to open up the room. As usual, we'll be watching some YT pony music, PMVs, some animations, etc. The feature of the night will be a playthrough of Moonrise: A Symphonic Metal Opera with lyrics on the screen.
The Pony Theme of the week is Flying. However you gotta do it.
>>356908It's ducking happening! There's pones an' frens!
That's a wrap for this year, folks!
>>356907I recognize that red robot horse from something. Who is that?
>>356957Neat. I recalled seeing him in a few other pieces of art and was wondering what he was from.
Hey guys. I'm booked tonight, so I won't be able to host. Occult has the permissions to run the room. If something is needed from me, I'll be checking the thread now and then throughout the day.
If anyone has suggestions for the prestream I'll load them in.
>>357147Can you play Taxi Driver?
>>357148That's a good idea, I was thinking of stuff that's easy to load up on cytube.
If you know a youtube link or somesuch sure thing.
This weekend is /mare/con
https://cytu.be/r/mareconOpening just started
The Pre-Stream for the Movie Night usually starts at 7:00pm EST.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylRoom is open whenever anyone wants to join in.
Hey everyone, I'm running a bit late again and didn't see Flappy's notice until just now, but it looks like Occult got the usual prestream going. I'll have a movie schedule up in just a few minutes.
Alrighty, here's tonight's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Sittin' on a Backyard Fence
Our Gang: Bargain Days
Taxi Driver (1977)Suggested by
>>357148Ponies, Ponies, PoniesS5 Ep 26, S6 E1

Bonus: Flapper mares
Thank you for movie night! I have a recommendation, after we complete Samurai Jack and Ghost Stories let's watch the old cartoon Redwall.
Can we watch Brave Heart? Mel Gibson is based and rides a hoers.
Excuse my lateness. I'm putting a playlist together right now.
Ready and waiting to go.
As usual, the prestream, with music, animations, and other videos from YouTube will be how we start off, then a little over an hour after we start the pre-stream will be when we start the movies.
Pony Theme of the week is Guardsmares.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Movie schedule will be up momentarily.
>>357392I don't have a copy ready to go, but we can do it next week probably.
Alright, here is tonight's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: How do I Know it's Sunday
The Little Rascals: Fly My Kite
The Boondock Saints (1999)
My Little Pony
S2 Eps 2-3
Samurai Jack
Eps 31 and 32
Flappy's stream will be starting once more people show up, the movies will begin once that concludes. Hope to see you all there.
Goodnight. And for the record, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. And the only way to disprove that in my eyes is to live in a ted shed and find happiness there. If the authorities don't evict you from there first.
>>357398Make your friends the light, anon. Then you don't even have to wait around for the end of the tunnel. We will be here for you.
>>357399What fucking friends.
Last time I checked, my only friends were a worthless NEET who I spent a year trying to help be an adult while living in a car, and someone else who has a university education and can't manage to settle down either.
>>357400Then network out. You probably won't find much better with us, but it's a start.
>>357401Don't talk to me like I'm not probably older than you, fucknugget. How's driving cross country, making ten different discord handles and identities, joining a dozen forums, making plans and meetups, and straight up doxing myself on a regular basis sound to you? Is that "networking" enough?
>>357402Sorry for not mindreading. But in all honesty, I am not trying to talk down to you or anything. I want you to not feel like shit. If you feel like you have hit a dead end, then that mindspace is going to keep you from feeling better. I know we have some anons that own their own small businesses around if you are looking for tips or maybe even work if you are interested in that. If not, I'm not trying to pressure you or pretend that I know the magic solution to your troubles.
>>357398Ah, glad to see you're alive. Alcohol is one of the inventions as a cure all for everything. Both good, bad and strange.
When a person is spread out too thin usually mounting a defense or expansion is nigh on impossible. Too thick there is a solid ever continual achieving, yet solely concentrated on a singular target.
There is the path that is not too thin nor too thick and it's just right. Any approximation nearing that is good enough.
The subconscious unless taught and grows, repeats and obsesses. When confronted with a conundrum it'll try making do with the easiest yet wrong answer. Because that's a flawed answer it'll continue to obsess over it.
The answer boils down to everything and the cards delt with what was known then. The subconscious needs direction that's its purpose. Otherwise it'll go around trying to go provide a direction and like a spinning top keep spinning around changing direction.
It can do all sorts of things, the consciousness has one real job technically two.
First is to experience stuff.
Second is to provide conundrums.
If the subconscious has no conundrums then 'lack of conundrums' is a conundrum so it'll make problems so it'll work on them.
The subconscious wants to play what if games, the more brutal they are the better. It's specialized for certain types of work. The moment exhaustion creeps in is the point where the subconscious is most excited to do your bidding, because it is then a person can kick over the near complete sand castle really twisting in the metaphorical knife providing two bigger conundrums.
Anyway it's all fun and games no matter the 'fun' or 'games'.
>>357406First off, ENGLISH. Second, what part of homeless, financial destitution and burning hatred for everyone in my life doesn't qualify as conundrum-worthy?
I made the pre-stream longer this week mostly by accident. The result is that I'll try to start it earlier than usual. As has become habit, we'll start off with a good chunk of music, then there will be small animations and PMVs to space things out.
I've also added a partial radio play to the next few weeks of the pre-stream. Different voice actors and even added sound effects and music. I haven't seen the videos in full, so I don't remember if we get visuals to go with it.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylI'll be ready to start the stream as soon as a few people come by.
Pony theme of the week is WindWaker style.
Alrighty, here's tonight's program:

Sequel to last week's feature.
My Diminutive Equine
S6 Eps 3-4
Samurai Jacques
Eps 33 and 34
Program will commence following Flappy's pre-stream. Hope to see you all there.
After Braveheart could we watch The Guardians of Altomare? It's widely considered the best Pokemon movie and is still regularly rescreened in Japan even 20 years after release.
>>350055Let us see what OP has.
Alrighty folks, it's that time again. Here is tonight's program:
Merrie Melodies: Haven't Got a Hat

The story of how based Mel Gibson defeated the Jews of England and saved England from the English
Smol Pony Hour

Future Samurai Hour
Eps 35 & 36
We haven't heard anything from Flappy yet, but presumably he will be doing his usual prestream. Movie program will begin as usual once that wraps up. Hope to see everyone there.
>>357687Eh...probably we could. I have a couple of other movies I wanted to show first, but I can add that one to the queue if you like.
Also if anyone is interested, I made a recording of a couple of those pony-themed waiting room animations I put together. There were a couple of people last week who requested them.

>>357896Very comfy. Didn't expect it to be so comfy, in fact. Kitchen Nightmares is primo kino.
I think I'll just advertise this just in case it ends up being a regular thing too -- the ancient /mlpol/ party room on cytube is in use for miscellaneous videos and music for each other. No restrictions on it, except common video posting courtesy. I think I'll be there nightly with music while I game and stuff, just in case anyone pops in and wants to share in the fun.
https://cytu.be/r/mlpol_party_room
>>357890>>357896>>357923I'm sorry I closed the playlist yesterday leaving you guys hanging.
The theme of the week is "Terrifying Decisions" ie: images that show something happening that will have terrifying results somehow.
Room is open now. We'll start shortly.
On the menu for this half of the stream tonight I copied one of the "Best Brony Music of January 2022" playlists, that Abraham Lincoln Rageaholic video mentioned last week, and two shorter pieces of music just as a palette cleanser from the longer video.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Movie schedule will be up shortly.
Here is tonight's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Cartoonist's Nightmare
Little Rascals: Dog is Dogs
Grosse Point Blank (1997)
The point is actually not as gross as the title would lead you to believe.
Tiny Collectible Horses
S6 Eps 8 & 9
Samurai Jack
Eps 37 & 38
Program will commence following Flappy's prestream as usual. Hope to see you all there.
Also, Twilight has made the terrifying decision to become a banana
Putting the playlist together now. Will have to shitpost worse than last week to get the Pony / Pony theme of the week.
Here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Hollywood Capers
Little Rascals: Readin' and Writin'
A Scanner Darkly (2006)
Incredibly Tiny Equine Creatures Which Can Be Owned By (You)
S6 Eps 10 and 11
Japanese Guy With an American Name Who is Also a Samurai in the Future
Eps 39 and 40
Program will commence following Flappy's prestream, around the usual time.
Regarding the emotes we have in the chatroom, I'm thinking that that database could use a bit of work.
If you can think of some sort of emotes we should have images for to express things, then I'll see what I can do when I do maintenance on that. Post your suggestions and requests in the thread.
Can you play the original Planet of the Apes? It features a hoers.
>>358596>emote suggestionsWe need moar Leslie, she's a cutie horse.
>>358713I think we watched it a year or so ago, but I wouldn't mind seeing it again.
The way CyTube does emotes is with hotlinks. That's part of why I put PonerPics's thumbnails as the suggested way to get images in the chat, since those use "our" site and they're thumbnails, which minimizes server strain (I hope). I'll quickly try to find some of those leslie images on
For emotes, I didn't mean just more pictures to post, but rather tools for communicating something. Honestly, I think I need to purge a lot of the less relevant images so that it's easier to find the relevant ones. We've got some broken links, too that I need to prune.
The playlist is ready to go, and I found a YouTube source for The Tick so we can continue watching that.
Leslie is going to be the Pony Of The Week, and I'm working on the emotes now.
Here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Gold Diggers of '49
Our Gang: Free Eats
Rebel Without A Cause (1955)
A poignant film about urban decay, inspired by Kid Rock's seminal album "Devil Without a Cause" and featuring the fabulous acting of a man who would later go on to make a fortune selling microwavable breakfast sausages.

The Tick
Season 1 Episode 6 - The Big Leagues - The Tick and Arthur are invited to join the League of Superheroes. Captain Liberty, jealous that she wasn't chosen, hires a top notch lawyer with the help of Batmanuel to sue The League. Unknown to either The Tick, Arthur, Batmanuel, or Captain Liberty, her lawyer is actually the Champion, the racist and misogynistic leader of The League of Superheroes. The Tick and Arthur soon figure out that The League is more of club when they won't spring into action against minor crimes, so they renounce their memberships and leave. The pair then help Captain Liberty by exposing the Champion's true identity in front of the entire law firm which results in the League opening a new group without the Champion.

Pony theme of the week is "injury", as I had a little emergency room adventure last week due to work. I'll be back on Monday, but it still feels like a major life event just happened.
I can hang out in the room early, but I should wait until the normal time
7pm Eastern before starting the playlist. That means that I'll have an open playlist until then for watching whatever until the Pre-Stream starts. If you want to mention this stream in some of your other Pony chatrooms to get a bit more movement in the chat, feel free to do so.
I've also got a different video I'd like to experiment with after the movie and Smarmara are done, if anyone's still interested in being up after that.

After some newer names have been showing up in the chatroom over the last couple of weeks, the idea of working on the emotes list for the newfriends came up.
I've only done a very quick skim of the emotes list and pruned a small handful of the less relevant images. What sorts of pruning do people think needs to be done to the emotes list, if any?
I started with Occult's list and have just been making small additions here and there, pruning broken links, and renaming some emotes to group them properly in the list. As far as grouping and organization of the emotes list goes, there's a bunch of work left to do on that front, but how heavy/light I should go on "sanitizing" the emote list for newer people is something I'm not sure about.
The goal here is to maintain the /MLPOL/ culture and the room's generally censorship free state while still growing the Watch Party / Movie Night population.

I was asking more along the lines of how the Movie Night regulars wanted the character of the Emotes in. The room is called /MLPOL/ WATCH PARTY, or something to that effect, so friendship windmill silliness is implied. I was wondering if the fact that it's on the front page of the emote responses would scare too many internet wanderers out of the room, whether that would attract censorious or otherwise nefarious attention to the room, and whether anyone in the room gave a fuck about it.
Also, there are some outright pornographic images in the emote list with little relevance for group conversation, and I don't know if I need to care whether the cytube owner gives a fuck.
Are those emote tags from other chatrooms that you're requesting I add to the current emote list? I just checked, and at the very least, "qt" and "bitch" do not have entries in the list, and did not have entries at the time of your posting.
Regardless, I did give the emote list a quick once-over to check for things like dead links, images that are practically never used, and images that might be better renamed so as to sort them out in the list better. There are a ton of different kinds of changes I could make, so I'm trying to really limit the scope of what I try to do when I'm opening the hood there.

They see him as crazy and immediately attempt an intervention. When he tries to leave, Arthur is forcibly taken to a psychiatric hospital. Tonight is special. We have the season finale of The Tick tonight. I also found a new pony music artist with four songs out so far, which are in the playlist, and I've also put in more non-pony content this week than I expected. I'll weigh the pony content more heavily in future streams.

Just saying.
>>361128There was another Mel Gibson movie that's relatively recent. We could watch that at some point.
I've decided that the show we'll watch in the Pre-Stream will be ReBoot, and that we'll give the animated version of The Tick a rest for now, as we just finished a Tick series.
Also, I just found out that we just passed the one year anniversary of these pre-streams a week or two ago, so I'm making that the theme this week.
We watched the first two episodes of the animated version of The Tick and the first two episodes of ReBoot last week, but I'll give ReBoot it's "official" introduction in this post.
This is the description from the playlist:
- - - - -
ReBoot is a Canadian computer-animated TV series that originally aired on YTV from 1994 to 2001. It was produced by Vancouver-based Mainframe Entertainment, Alliance Communications and BLT Productions. The animated series was created by Gavin Blair, Ian Pearson, Phil Mitchell, and John Grace, with the visuals designed by Brendan McCarthy after an initial attempt by Ian Gibson. It was one of the world's first CGI television series.
The series follows the adventures of a Guardian named Bob and his companions Enzo and Dot Matrix as they work to keep the computer system of Mainframe safe from the viruses and other threats.
A reimagined, live-action/CGI-animated series, ReBoot: The Guardian Code, was announced in 2015,[6] and the first ten episodes debuted on Netflix worldwide (excluding Canada) on March 30, 2018.[7] YTV aired all twenty episodes from June 4 to July 5, 2018.
The series follows the adventures of a Guardian named Bob and his companions Enzo and Dot Matrix as they work to keep the computer system of Mainframe safe from the viruses known as Megabyte and Hexadecimal. The setting is in the inner world of a computer system known by its inhabitants as Mainframe. It was deliberately chosen due to technological constraints at the time, as the fictional computer world allowed for blocky looking models and mechanical animation.[8]
A recurring plot thread is when the User loads a game, an electrical violet cube lowers onto part of the city. Anyone trapped inside becomes NPCs and have the chance to stop the User. If the User wins, the area is destroyed and the residents reduced to leech like creatures called Nulls.

Hello, everyone! After another week, we have another movie night.
We'll be watching our usual mix of MLP music, animations, and a few other odds and ends in the pre-stream as well as episodes five and six of season one of ReBoot. I've done something unusual and put an entire album from a single artist in the rotation for the night to try that out. We'll see how same-y it is, and how much we want to balance that out with variety.
Image themes of the week are prison, dog, and sick, based on the episode summaries. I remember the prison episode being from the perspective of the guard, while the user is one of the prisoners, and it'll be more sci-fi than the prison images I was able to grab, but they'll do.
See you soon!

>>361611Whoops, spoke too soon. There's the link.
>>361613>>361614Was a fun stream
How did people find the format for the stream last night?
Specifically, putting an entire small album from one artist in the playlist. I'm thinking that I ideally want to avoid having too long a stretch of the same style of music. Albums can be great at taking the listener through a nuanced and enriching conceptual journey and all that stuff, but I'm aiming for a more casual kind of experience that doesn't require paying that close attention in order to get the most out of it.
Adding a bunch of songs just from one artist's page would be convenient, but I have a vague sense that it would limit things or change the character of the playlists too much.
>>361642>How did people find the format for the stream last night? I liked it. although i missed half of it.

The pre-stream will start probably fifteen to thirty minutes later than usual tonight. Work went late this week.
Lads and Gents, we present to you a
somewhat late stream night once again! We've still got a variety of songs and animations for you all. I found an animation channel that does cutesy stuff, and there was a 4 part series of "Ask Frigid Drift" videos, so I thought I'd toss those in.
After the MLP stuff, we have our ReBoot episodes, followed by Elway's movie selection.
The total playlist length did come to 1hr 50m when I put it together. Due to time constraints tonight, I thought it best to just go with the first "complete" feeling playlist I could come up with and not edit for time. I do try to put some structure into these playlists.
I spent all week doing flood relief work, making tons of sandbags, moving them, and building the walls. I'd prefer to use that as the theme of the week, but, again, time constraints.

I'll see if I can co-ordinate with Occult over matrix, but I'm limited to my phone right now.
>>362382Okay, I'm home now and getting stuff together. I assume we'll either have a random stream night or we'll find some long-form content on YT. My backup hosted stream hasn't been checked on in months, and the time to work out the kinks and get it up and running probably isn't when I'm running two hours behind schedule.
I'll just slap a music compilation in there for now and post something here when I have something a bit more substantial.

>>362393You're a champ for getting _something_ playing on the stream.

For posterity's sake, I'll mention that we DID get a full playlist on there, which I saved a copy of on the CyTube playlist management tool. The show of the night was the first two episodes of Shadow Raiders, made by the same people who made ReBoot, but this would have been made a few seasons in to ReBoot, so we got to see better animation technology at play.
I just want to keep posting the episode summaries for ReBoot, and didn't have the time or mental bandwidth to do that on the fly. The movie of the night was Empire of Dust. That's the documentary where the "It's all so tiresome" meme (picture attached) came from.
The YT link I tried using for Empire of Dust was muted during the music montages, but we're lucky enough to have another champ who found a good link for Empire of Dust that had all the audio where it's supposed to be. I'm sorry I don't remember who to credit for that.

For this week, I'm going to try to put together some Fluttershy-centric music and videos for the pre-stream. There's a risk that we won't have a good flow of moods in the content for the evening, but we'll see when we get there. I can slap a music playlist in there to replace that stuff if we decide that that's an issue.
I'm putting the playlist together now, and it turns out we're still a couple episodes away from the finale of Season One. One regular episode, which you're going to like since it's basically the writers complaining about the network censorship they have to deal with, and a two-parter finale.
That means that this Fluttershy-themed week will be a bit lighter on the Fluttershy content than I expected. I'll still try to get the total playlist length down to about an hour and forty-five minutes. (One hour plus two episodes.)
Alrighty folks, I'm back this week.
Here is the movie schedule for tonight. Also, since we've been doing the Our Gang shorts for awhile now and there are still a fuckton of them to get through, I thought it might be fun to take a break and watch a different show for a bit. I have another old classic series that I thought would be fun to watch, so I've scheduled that for tonight. If we like it, we can keep watching; otherwise we can just go back to Our Gang.
Merrie Melodies: Porky's Road Race

Eps 9 and 10 (finale)
Also, we'll be finishing up Samurai Jack tonight. I'll actually be out of town for the next 2 or 3 weeks, so while I may try to pop into the stream I will not have access to my movie collection or streaming software and thus will not be able to show movies, so you guys will have to fend for yourselves for a bit. I was thinking Flappy could finish showing Ghost Hunters in the interim since there was a plan to do that anyway. When I come back, I have an anime I thought would be fun to show, we'll see what everyone thinks of it.
Also, requesting that pic 2 be made into a reaction image for the chat.
Also, program will commence following Flappy's pre-stream as usual. Hope to see you all there.
Total playlist time is just under two hours, and that was a lot of trimming. It works out to under an hour of Fluttershy content plus a bit over an hour of ReBoot.
As this is a Fluttershy themed thread, I tried to keep the focus on her as a character, showing clips from the show, and go a bit lighter on the music and PMVs. Including everything would take way too much time.
There's a Fluttershy Thread that's up over here

Thank you Flappy and Elway for hosting movie night! I especially loved the showing of the entire Samurai Jack series. For those who missed it, it's the most based animated series ever produced and is definitely worth watching.
Hello everybody Dr- I mean OccultFacade here, movie night will continue.
For this Friday Feature line up is:
Short length feature: Popeye Vs Sinbad
Colorful archive footage of Popeye from Samurai Jack going back in time like the Terminator to eliminate the threat of some fatguy.
12 Angry Men (colorized and may be missing footage)
PSA on why talking to people is a dangerous activity for the communities, and how people regularly tend to fail somehow. Also anger, but in AI color.
MLP:FiM >No Hooves?! The Second Movie.
It's like Ponies, but worse! Using the power of memetic music ponies disguised as >No Hooves discover all >No Hooves may actually have hooves...
The directors cut had them be out of costume for the entire movie sadly that is lost to multiple fires and rain damage all that's left is the costumed version.
unless someone finds a better movie on the JewTube
>>363019Thanks a lot for taking over the streaming tonight. I see some stuff happened in the cytube room to gather the links.
Good news: I found an online archive of Ghost Stories, so we can still get those episodes in. We were on episodes 6 and 7 for tonight. Episode 5 was the one with the evil rabbit thing.
With these bits of good news, I'd say tonight's event is off to a magnificent start.
Another Friday, another curated Movie Night! I've got just under 2 hours of stuff, including the ReBoot episodes. Considering that they'll replace the Samurai Jack stuff, I think we're okay for time.
Trying to figure out a way to get a live "here's how long your playlist is right now" counter to look at while I'm building the playlist is something that would probably help with this. Maybe I'll start building playlists ahead of time so they're more finely tuned or something.
The room is open, and we're at the starting line!

The ReBoot Episodes
14 (v2.1) - "Infected" - 31 August 1995 (Canada)
Megabyte interferes with the scheduled upgrade, infiltrates the Core.
Game: none, but Dot does a neat Sigourney Weaver imitation.
Disguised as an upgrade, Megabyte enters Mainframe's core control chamber. He badly hurts Phong and initiates an Erase Command that almost destroys the System, only to be thwarted by Bob exploiting his greed. Hexidecimal hints at a surprising connection to Megabyte.
Cultural references: Megabyte uses a self-destruct command and a pose emulating the film Predator, while Dot's use of an Exo-Skeleton may refer to Ellen Ripley in Aliens. When Dot attempts to crush Megabyte with a mechanical exoskeleton, a shot of his head is shown where his eyes dim in a way similar to the way the Terminator is destroyed in The Terminator.
15 (v2.2) - "High Code" - 7 September 1995 (Canada)
A code master comes looking for a master who has left the guild.
Game: Wild West Locomotive
A Codemaster, Lens the Reaper, wreaks havoc in Mainframe while looking to challenge the legendary Codemaster Talon who took refuge in the system. Phong and Bob assure him that there is no one in Mainframe called Talon. Enzo discovers that Old Man Pearson is Talon, and has to convince him to come out of hiding—while Bob tricks Lens into a Game with the hope of nullifying them both to save the System. In the end, Lens is moved by the Mainframers' honorable willingness to die for each other.
Cultural references: The title refers to High Noon. The Game references the real-life Canadian town of Spuzzum. As Enzo travels to see Old Man Pearson, he sings the theme song to "Batman". The weapon of choice of a Codemaster, the Gibson coil pike, is a reference to William Gibson, author of Neuromancer. The number on the train, 9502, reflects that this was the second episode produced in the 1995 season.

ReBoot Episodes(v2.3) 16 "When Games Collide" - 14 September 1995 (Canada)
Megabyte steals energy from a game cube. The user sends in another game cube which merges with the first to form an out-of-control game.
Game: Chromebots, Basic Combat, Dinosaurs
Cultural references: The gateway command is identical in shape and function to the gateway from the contemporary Stargate movie.(v2.4) 17 "Bad Bob" - 21 September 1995 (Canada)
Megabyte attacks the Principal Office. His theft of the core energy messes up the game cube.
Game: Mad Max (Road Warrior)
Cultural references: Many of the events during the game "Road Warrior" are taken directly from the Mad Max films, as well as characters, vehicles and landscape. The Number One character appears to be wearing a Star Trek uniform and has similar facial features and speech to Commander Riker from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Upon seeing part of Mainframe's core corrupted, a binome exclaims "Maniacs! They blew it up! – a reference to Planet of the Apes. When Bob crashes his car, a binome references This Island Earth by asking if he is having trouble with his interocitor. She also references Jefferies tubes, suggesting that he flushes out the Daniels tubes. Kelly Daniels was the show's Director of Technical Operations. Enzo says he based his aircart design on an X-MP/48. The User's car is almost identical to the Batmobile from the late 1980s/early 1990s Batman movie series.

ReBoot Episodes(v2.5) 18 -
Painted Windows - 2 November 1995 (Canada)
Hexadecimal accesses the system's Paint program, and Mainframe is her canvas. She soon begins to wreak havoc, causing a communications blackout, and melting all forms of transport, and glitch.
Cultural references:
Renditions of several famous artworks appear throughout this episode, including "The Thinker", "The Creation of Adam" and Edvard Munch's "The Scream". Hexadecimal's monologue near the beginning of the episode is in reference to Night Gallery. At the end of the episode, Mike's line "Mother! What have you done?" is a reference to Norman Bates.(v2.6) 19 -
AndrAIa - 9 November 1995 (Canada)
Enzo is depressed because he feels lonely. During an underwater game, he befriends a game sprite named AndrAIa. When the game is won, he discovers she attached a back-up copy of herself to his icon so they can remain together.
Cultural references:
A Jean-Luc Picard-styled binome appears near the start of the episode, dressed in a Starfleet uniform; the binome repeatedly says "make it so" and "engage" and later asks for "tea, Earl Grey". Another binome has a bad hairpiece and speaks in pauses in an exaggerated impersonation of Captain Kirk. During Bob's lecture on how to survive in a Game, he sees a binome with "i ♥ U" written on her eyelids, a reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark. The "AI" in AndrAIa's name stands for artificial intelligence. When the game cube is falling, one of the binomes escaping the diner is Waldo. When the User is nearing the city of Atlantis in the game cube, statues of King Ghidorah can clearly be seen. The game at the beginning of the episode is the same game as the first episode. This episode has the second foreshadowing of a future injury of Enzo's. Bob uses Homer Simpson's famous catchphrase "d'oh".Ghost Stories Episodes10 -

Hey everyone, I have returned from the abyss. Unless there are strenuous objections, I was planning to resume the usual schedule for movie night.
I haven't finished putting a program together yet, but before I do I wanted to confirm that you guys were still watching Ghost Stories. According to the schedule for last week that Flappy posted you've watched through ep 11. I have the whole series and I was thinking I could just do eps 12 and 13 as the cartoon segment tonight, but if you guys watched extra episodes and managed to finish it while I was gone, I have some other anime I can show.
>>363996Hooray! Welcome back.
>>363996Hi Elway! Glad to have you back.
That'll be just fine.
I'm still getting up from a nap that went longer than I intended, so I'll be another 15-ish minutes making the playlist.
>>363998>>363997Thanks! it's good to be back.
And without further ado, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies - Porky's Romance
The Honeymooners - Funny MoneyTrue Romance (1993)Equines:S7 Eps 8 and 9
Spirits:Eps 12 and 13
Friday Fun-Time is on it's way now.
This week has a
four-part storyline that's going to change the tone of the show a lot, and I think it'd be a mistake to cut them. I'm spacing them out with some stuff. We could probably cut the latter two episodes if people want. I'll just double check that it's not a cliffhanger on episode 2.

ReBoot Episodes(v2.7.1) 21 -
Nullzilla - 27 December 1995 (Canada)
A giant monster made of Nulls attacks mainframe. The main characters, including the newly-added AndrAIa, are picked to defend the city.
Cultural references:
Phong dresses up the group in Power Ranger-like uniforms, and their vehicles form a giant robot and battle the monster. The office in which Phong readies the team to combat Hex is similar to that seen on Tracy Island of Thunderbirds, as are the chutes through which the team travels to the vehicle hangar. When the heroes combat Hex, they appear as parodies of both Power Rangers and Voltron, and fight in a parody of the Mega Zord formed by a similar command to Voltron's "Go Voltron Force!" phrase. The Web Creature that attacks Hex and later Megabyte, turns them black, similar to how the Symbiote succeeded in changing Spider-Man before later becoming Venom. The code F.A.B. is a reference to a radio acknowledgment for the Thunderbirds as well as an acronym for Fully Acknowledged and Briefed.(2.7.2) 21 -
Gigabyte - 27 December 1995 (Canada)
An energy-absorbing virus named Gigabyte attacks the city. Hack & Slash and a returning Mouse join forces against the virus.
Cultural references:
When asked what its purpose is, Gigabyte replies, "I am become Gigabyte, destroyer of systems," alluding to Vishnu in the Bhagavad-Gita. When Gigabyte corners Bob and Dot in an alley he scrapes the wall with his claw, similar to Freddy Krueger. A binome who has his energy absorbed by Gigabyte is based on Indiana Jones. Bob's special body armor is based on Solid Snake's protective gear. The controller Mouse uses to contain the tear is extremely similar to a PlayStation controller.(v2.7.3) 22 -
Trust No-One - 25 January 1996 (Canada)
Mainframe citizens are mysteriously disappearing, including Dot and Al's waiter. Phong hires two CGI Special Agents, Fax Modem and Data Nully to investigate the disappearances, along with Bob and Mouse. They Discover the now enlarged invader Identified as a creature from the Web. The implications of the situation get a lot worse when the guardians become aware.
Cultural references:
When the waiter from Al's is taking out the trash, he says "Garbage In, Garbage Out," a common saying in the field of computer science. The two agents parody agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully from The X-Files. Data Nully is voiced by Gillian Anderson, the same actress who played Dana Scully. CGI is an allusion to the American FBI and also to Computer-Generated Imagery, used to produce computer-generated but realistic imagery such as in ReBoot.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

>>364361The age of fire is ending, and now comes the age of vacuum. They're preparing as we speak.
Welcome again, Lads and Gents, to your regularly scheduled stream night.
In the early part of the pre-stream, I've popped in a 12 minute stand-up comedy sketch, a video that's hard to explain, and Clipper Anon's "The Founding of /mlp/" as voiced by 15.ai, TalkNet, and DeltaVox.
After Bob, Mainframe's Guardian protecting the city from the devastation of the Games, got F'd by Megabyte and Hexadecimal and sent to 'the Web' (read: a lovecraftian hellscape beyond understanding), it's up to Enzo. The kid / little brother character who, while he has some experience in Games, he is only a guardian cadet. And that, only about an hour before Bob got sent off. His keytool that he inheirited, Glitch, is the one the Megabyte crushed, so it's broken. Time to establish the new status quo.
Pony Theme of the week: Calcium Cavalry
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ReBoot Episodes(v3.1.1) -
To Mend and Defend[b] - 20 August 1997 (Canada)
Dot is now the Commander of the Principal Office and with Bob gone, Enzo must prove himself as a Guardian while Megabyte and Hexadecimal attack the Principal Office.
Cultural references: A CPU (Convertible Pursuit Unit) pilot says, "Well, ya heard the little lady. Single file. Proceed heading 1138. Stay frosty," referring to THX 1138, an early George Lucas movie as well as Aliens. A similar line was uttered by Bob in The Tearing. When Hexadecimal is preparing to fire again, she says, "Say hello to my little friend," a reference to Scarface. The game in this episode is clearly modelled on the Evil Dead film series, or the computer game which followed. Upon rebooting Enzo becomes a take on Michael Jackson in Thriller and Dot becomes a take on cult-TV horror show host Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (Cassandra Peterson). Additionally, The Addams Family motif plays briefly after her reboot. The user is based on Ash (Bruce Campbell) in the Evil Dead movies, specifically Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, which is further alluded to when the user, having been "killed" and turned into a zombie, exclaims "I'm dead before dawn!" (referring to Evil Dead II). The chief of police being interviewed on TV is Marge Olmstead-Gunderson from the movie Fargo. At one point in the episode, Dot asks what kind of "sick creature" would take pleasure in playing a violent game like the one they are in, at which point she and Enzo break the fourth wall and glare accusingly at the viewer.
(v3.1.2) - [b]Between A Raccoon & A Hard Place[b] - 27 August 1997 (Canada)
Confidence in Enzo's skills begin to diminish due to efforts by Megabyte, who is easily seizing sectors. To prove himself as a capable Guardian, he and AndrAIa enter a game in order to win it without Dot's help.
Cultural references: After deleting the outspoken binome in the nullified sector (which is dressed in a Next Generation-style Starfleet uniform), Megabyte says that resistance is futile, an allusion to the Borg of Star Trek. Also, before being deleted, the binome declared, "we are sick of running in fear. A line must be drawn here." This is a parody of a speech Jean-Luc Picard gave in the movie Star Trek: First Contact. Enzo reboots in the game cube into a character who is dressed like, and sounds like, Elmer Fudd. The User's raccoon character is a cross between Sonic the Hedgehog and The Road Runner; many of the gags used during the game are characteristic of Road Runner cartoons. The raccoon's name, Rocky Raccoon, is a reference to a song off The Beatles' White Album. One of the binomes returned to normal after they win the game looks like Sailor Moon.
Ghost Stories Episodes
Here's a little preview for our wrap-up section.
14 - [b]Cold Dark Space - 10 November 1997
A frenzied man finds himself trapped in a nightmarish hospital room. Surrounded by the dead from his past, it appears he's lost in a limbo world between life and death. We discover this is all the delusion of an astronaut adrift in space with his dead co-pilots as company.
15 - [b]Green-Eyed Monster[b] - 17 November 1997
A jealous husband becomes a green-eyed monster when he finds his wife giving undue attention to their backyard tree — the very tree from which her ex-boyfriend committed suicide.
>>364360>vacuumposting>I'm glad that it's becoming a thing nowNot funny.
I recently stumbled across a video talking about dark and disturbing media, and it both reminded me of one film and introduced me to another. What would you guys think of the film The Plague Dogs? The theatrical version is shorter as it cuts a part out, but the youtube upload is the full extended version.
And speaking of the film, Snitter is voiced by John Hurt, who also played Hazel from Watership Down, and Winston Smith from the 1984 adaptation of...1984. So, this is a roundabout way of asking, what about Watership Down? Have we seen it for movie night before?
>>364535We've actually already watched both The Plague Dogs and Watership Down, but I'd be good to watch either of them again.
>>364558Damn, late to the party. And here I was, thinking it was niche enough. I'm just uncultured.
>>364559I went back through the old threads and it looks like the last time we watched either of those movies was January of 2021. Since it's been awhile and we've rewatched plenty of other things, I'm thinking it would be fun to do Watership Down again, so I'll go ahead and preemptively schedule that for tomorrow.
>>364565Well in that case thank you.
Hi guys. The day went later than expected, so the pre-stream will be late. I still have some stuff to do before I can sit down.
I may skip out on getting the episode summaries prepped before starting the stream.
Real quick, and real dirty, we have a pre-stream of some "X reacts to MLP songs" video and a ten minute animation titled "A Different View Of History". Two songs later, and we're in to the next two episodes of ReBoot.
These next two episodes are the second half of the current story arc. Things change. Massively. No episode summaries in this post so the stream can be gotten to quickly. This is the kind of thing you'll likely want to be here for. I'll post the actual YT links later.
Points to whomest-ever(?) can guess where these images came from.
I got a bit of a late start today as well, movie schedule will be up momentarily.
Well shit. I was actually looking forward to the palate cleansers/memes/songs on Friday. Any plans to get around this? Locally hosted videos downloaded by Elway perhaps?
>>364583Ah, you're watching that ghost stories. Hehe, yeah that was fun. Maybe one day when I'm less of a loner and can join in and be a poner ^^
>>364738Well... shit.
I'll see what I can do in the meantime. Pony content may be a bit light for the pre-stream portion if I can't get it working, but Ghost Stories is available on another website that I've streamed from before.
Due to the YouTube outage, and in recognition of Canada Day being tomorrow, I'm putting on some episodes of the Red Green show, a show that was on TV from 1991 to 2006. I haven't seen it in years, but I'm expecting good vibes and a generally relaxed atmosphere.
I'll work on getting Internet Archive copies of the ReBoot episodes up while Red Green is playing.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylRoom is open and the video is running. I'm operating it like it's cable rather than a curated and organized playlist this week because things are a bit weird.
I had the playlist pre-made this week, too.
Movie schedule will be up in just a moment.
Der Ghosten:
Eps 18, 19 and 20
There are only 3 episodes of Ghost Stories left, so I figure we can just go ahead and finish it tonight. Hopefully we shouldn't run late. We'll start a new anime next week.
We have a playlist up and running. Turns out both shows were available on the Internet Archive.
The next episodes of ReBoot are going to continue growing past the censorship a bit.
Happy Thursday, everyone!
As of this comment, adding YouTube videos to the CyTube list still doesn't work. We're currently on track for another several episodes of Internet Archive shows.
Normal CyTube definitely won't work. It might be possible to try to borrow the server that was set up for /mlp/con, but I'll have to wait on a reply to the messages I just sent.
>>364962Twifag gave the go-ahead for this weekend! Glory to Twifag!
I doubt this server will remain up in the long term, so we still need to think about what we're going to do without being able to add YouTube links in the medium term until YouTube pulls it's head out of it's ass. Assuming it ever does.
>>364962>>364963I hate Harold with a passion but Red Green was pretty kino otherwise. I am okay with using Internet Archive. In fact, I could even provide films/shows with a sockpuppet. I can't promise they'll stay up for long though, I uploaded stuff awhile before and they were struck down.
I'm sure the debate on what mediums can be played on Cytube has already happened before, but would it be possible for the movie night room to have stuff like bandcamp/audio file links for musical intermissions, and so forth? If youtube's going kaput that means we all gotta put our heads together and consider all the options we can for entertainment/curation. Even changing sites for hosting/sharing.
>>364965Just download whatever from youtube (yt-dlp) and upload it somewhere else. If its pony then upload it to pony.tube as it works fine with cytube.
>>364966Well yeah, I just don't know what specific video sites in the same vein as youtube are compatible with Cytube. I know webms from this site don't work (without plugins implemented into the channel I think?), nor do bitchute links. Just trying to get our ducks in a row for the long haul.
>>364966That's going to be a really awkward workaround, but barely doable.
I'm trying to build these playlists to have a good balance of longer stuff to shorter stuff, energetic stuff to calm stuff, et cetera. YouTube lets me save playlists, add new things, drag and drop easily to rearrange, and then add the whole playlist in one operation. Having to switch away would be somewhat annoying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll be putting the playlist originally intended for last week in for this week.
Seems like CyTube has access to the API this week. We'll still be using the other CyTube room this week since Twifag and I agreed on it. I'm assuming we might get some new viewers to our weekly get-together if I put it on there.
I don't know about adding the old Emote list to Twifag's server. I didn't ask him about the windmills. I also don't have the right plugins for posting images directly to the chatroom. Hmm... We might end up using the regular CyTube server after all if the lack of emotes is an issue. Maybe I can get a copy of the Convention Emotes to put in our room for this week.
>>364977>We might end up using the regular CyTube server after all if the lack of emotes is an issue.Don't think having all the same emotes is that important.
Evening gents, it's that time again. Here is tonight's program:
Merrie Melodies - The Case of the Stuttering Pig
The Honeymooners - The Sleepwalker
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou (2004)
A fine film by the illustrious Wes Anderson, beloved of smarmy hipsters everywhere.
Hros:
S7, eps 16 and 17
Animu:
Charlotte, eps 1 and 2
We'll be starting a new anime this week. It's one I watched a few years ago and greatly enjoyed, hopefully you guys will like it.
Not sure what Flappy has planned exactly what with the cytube issues and all, it sounds like we might be using a different room this week, but there shouldn't be any issues doing the movie portion as usual one way or the other. Hope to see you all there, wherever that may be exactly.
We continue on with our regularly scheduled program. Hopefully the emote list issue isn't going to be a problem. I'll just copy the normal emote list over, broken links and windmills and all.
It was Canada Day weekend last week, so I only found out about the /mlp/con after all the events except for the closing ceremonies. Therefore, I'm going to add the Pony Antithology 2023 to the stream this week, so we can all see it. If everyone in the room except for me already saw the thing, then we can skip it and get right to the movies.
Pony of the Week is Celestia being cute.
ReBoot Episodes30 (v3.2.3) - Number 7 - 1 October 1997 (Canada)
Entering a game, Matrix and AndrAIa find themselves back in Mainframe where Bob and Dot mistake Matrix and Andrea who are Rebooted into Megabyte and Hexadecimal, trying to find the mysterious number 1.
Cultural references:
The entire episode is a reference to the cult series The Prisoner. In the golf game cube at the end of the episode, Matrix and AndrAIa's opponents are a tiger, a sombrero, and a shark, a reference to famous golf pros Tiger Woods, Lee Travino, and Greg Norman. The tiger also bears a resemblance to Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes. Little Enzo's words, "there can be only one," is a reference to the film Highlander, and the image of Matrix after he is hit by the golf ball blob is another reference to The Prisoner, in which Number 6 is incapacitated by Rover (a weather balloon), thereafter to be dragged back to his villa. In addition, Phong has coffee delivered to him by a "9" sprite and asks him "How is your back, 9?" in reference to the last nine holes of a golf game. The song "Here Comes the Judge" by Pigmeat Markham is sung during the trial.31 (v3.2.4) - The Episode with No Name- 8 October 1997 (Canada)
Matrix and AndrAIa arrive in a system with a ports to the net making Mainframe that much closer. The Guardians however... are infected by a supervirus named Daemon, but Turbo, the Leader of the Guardians though infected is fighting it. He explains the only hope of defeating Daemon lies in Bob's protocol. Matrix must find Bob not only to return him home, but to save the net.
Cultural references:
Four Imperial stormtroopers are clearly seen walking through the streets of the desert town; and one is seen in the bar, which is a parody of a Star Wars cantina, though the scene (and a large part of the episode) are parodies of various Spaghetti Westerns. At one point when Matrix jumps, the sound effects and slow-mo are reminiscent of The Six Million Dollar Man. The search engine's vehicle says IMAX on the side. When Matrix runs off, chasing the thief, AndrAIa shouts after him, "stay frosty, Sparky," a reference to both Aliens and an earlier episode where Bob says something similar. While in the bar, Matrix has his gun target all the patrons and initiate "Death Blossom mode", taken from the movie The Last Starfighter.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With that all out of the way, come on in to the new room for this week. We can swap to the old room during the night if there's an issue.

>>364979Swapping from Ghost Stories to Charlotte makes sense. After ReBoot's done, that slot will be taken up by Berserk (1997). A bit of a change of tone.
If the Antithology 2023 is a bit too much for time, I'm fine with dropping that and watching it on my own.
Since the CyTube issue seems to be worked out, we can swap back to the normal room to get access to the "post image links in the chat to see the images" function/script. I haven't gotten that set up on the server that's going to be shut down in a day or two, because I don't know if it's worth the hassle.
For the time being, we'll use the new room and see where the night takes us.
Dropping an hour long Antithology into the list on a whim was too much. We'll watch that some other day.
>>364992The numbers are the tabs I have open in the windows
Hey poners, what are we watching tonight? And Flappy, did you get through a hundred or so tabs just yet?
And now back for the rundown of the evening, to be held at the usual spot. It's starting to feel comfy, huh?
ReBoot Episodes32 (v3.3.1) - "Return of the Crimson Binome" 15 October 1997 (Canada)
When Matrix and AndrAIa find that Captain Capacitor's crew are being held in the portal system due to a new law enforced by the guardians. They attempt a prison break-in to free them to use their ship to return to Mainframe, and find a Web Surfer named Ray Tracer who agrees to help them. Matrix grows jealous of him when he flirts with AndrAIa.
Notes: This was the last episode shown in Britain due to concerns that the show's themes were becoming more mature.
33 (v3.3.2) - "The Edge of Beyond" 22 October 1997 (Canada)
With Ray Tracer and Captain Capacitor and his crew, Matrix and AndrAIa enter the Web to find Bob and to return to Mainframe. They find themselves with a new goal after AndrAIa gets bitten by a Web Creature.
Cultural references: Ray Tracer was named in a contest; the winning name came from Motorola, and Ray's icon symbol sometimes resembles the Motorola logo. (At other times, it is a stylized wave.) The language the Web Riders speak sounds similar to a low-speed dial-up modem. When AndrAIa first encounters the web creature, it seems to emerge from an egg that looks very similar to the way the eggs in the Alien franchise hatch.

>>365175Schedule will be up in just one moment.
>>365175No, sadly I did not. I'm getting better at not opening more, at least. Compartmentalizing the various trains of thought such that I can tolerate getting rid of it forever.
A bunch of them are videos or songs I was scouting for this night. Some of those turn in to entries in the storage playlist I use, but I'm using those to link to the artist themselves. They usually have an average anywhere from 3-7 up to 15. But I don't want to risk dedicating a big chunk of the night to an untested variable. It might be the kind of genre that gets boring after five minutes, and it thus good only in short bursts, or as a spacer.
Every time I look at a tab I see this data, and a dozen more layers besides. Then the analysis paralysis kicks in.
Alrighty folks, here is tonight's movie program:
Merrie Melodies: Little Red Walking Hood
The Honeymooners: Better Living Through TV
The Usual Suspects (1995)
May actually contain previously unseen suspects.
Horoes:
S7 Eps 18 and 19
Animu:

>>365179Just wanna bump to thank you for last night's extended afterparty and for bearing with my sudden reignited passion for AshaLogos.
If time permits, anons, then on Friday we will set aside time for watching his series,
Conspiracy? Our Subverted History - a series which goes in loving depth about ancient Indo-Aryan history. We only watched part 1 last night - which is mostly a preamble with scattered pieces of evidence that Egypt, Sumer, Mesopotamia, India, Japan and others have pieces of white ancestry biologically. If nobody else attends but the same that did last night, we will be starting on part 2, but if we get a lot of eyes on it, we'll happily rewatch part 1.
Welcome again, fellow horsefuckers, to yet another night of pony-themed YouTube videos, a movie, and an assortment of other video media to keep your spirits up.
Pony Theme of the week is Jargon Scott's stuff.
ReBoot Episodes34 (v3.3.3) - Web Riders On The Storm 29 October 1997 (Canada)
The crew of the Saucy Mare encounter Web Riders, beings living in the web, who are not happy with their arrival in the Web. The crew must fight them off and time is running out for AndrAia.
Cultural references: The episode's title is a pun on The Doors' song "Riders on the Storm."
35 (v3.3.4) - Mousetrap 5 November 1997 (Canada)
With Bob and a portal found, the Saucy Mare prepares to return to Mainframe, but Mouse has set traps that make the trip more difficult than expected.
Cultural references: The "wriggles" that the surfer eats is possibly a lampoon of 'gagh', a Klingon food (from the Star Trek series) that also "wriggles all the way down". After the surfer eats it a web rider says, "You are a warrior, you have honour!", typical of something a Klingon would say. Matrix, in a conversation with Bob says "I've done – questionable things" with the same pause that Roy Batty takes when he says the same thing in Blade Runner.

>>365505Whoops. I had my VPN on.
On a side note, basically all the organization for the event happens inside the thread, so if anyone has feedback regarding the format, feel free to chime in. I'm assuming a time budget on my side of approximately one hour of Pony, two episodes of one show, then we move to the movie, shorts, 2 pony episodes, and two episodes of something else. As far as I can tell, we just fell in to this structure.
Anyone interested in The Adventures of Mark Twain for a movie on movienight at some point?
>>365678That sounds good to me, I've seen some clips of it before and it certainly looks like quite the experience.
Whether your last week was as nice as I'd hope it was, or whether it wasn't, we gather again for more Ponies and other assorted Shenanigans.
I popped one six minute political video in there because it's mlpol. I'm going as middle of the ground as I can. It's Thomas Sowell, so it's still a bit normie-tier-spicy. There are a pair of Fluttershy videos in here, and I stumbled on to a theme of different covers of "Welcome To The Show". I made sure to add what looked like a clip of it from the movie that I found on YouTube.
I have about two screens worth of tabs open on my main browser again already. There's a memory leak in my habits, but the browser's tabs are still at least being relatively responsive.
Regarding the Emote list, that could use some work. I just have to make time and really buckle down on it for a while, but that's been tough for me for the last couple weeks. I'm slipping in my habits a bit.
ReBoot - Now we've reunited with Bob, Bob fused with Glitch to be some kind of limited deus ex machina god-character, and Matrix and Andrea are bringing a crew of pirates, and their ship with them. I picked the last item on the list to try to help set the tone for this. I think this is the week we get to re-watch that fight scene with proper context.
ReBoot Episodes36 (v3.4.1) - Megaframe 3 January 1998 (Canada)
The
Saucy Mare arrives to a heavily damaged Mainframe, under the control of Megabyte. They are in preparation for an assault on the Principal Office and Bob gets abducted by Hexadecimal.
Cultural references: Some of the binomes in the beginning resemble the Sailor Scouts from the anime Sailor Moon. One of Megabytes officer's remarks "Those rebel scum. Will they never learn?"—a line commonly used in Star Wars media. The code that Megabyte extracts from Phong translates from ASCII to the phrase "YADDAYADDAYADDA!" – exclamation point included.
37 (v3.4.2) - Showdown 10 January 1998 (Canada)
Reunited with friends and family, Dot, AndrAIa, Mouse, Matrix and their group of binome rebels begin to invade the Principal Office, where Megabyte and his army await. Meanwhile Hexadecimal holds Bob against his will until he voluntarily does something benevolent for her. Matrix faces Megabyte alone before he escapes the system.
Cultural references: The
Saucy Mare's destruction (and the conversation between the captain and AndrAIa afterwards) is a reference to Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Hex's response to Bob when he offers to heal her is taken from H.A.L. protesting his system's shutdown in 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Now that that's set up
(I sure hope I got the colourshift thing to work properly) I'd like to invite you all in to the room. The pony theme for the week is going to be something quick that is at least somewhat themed. How about... the mouth pieces! I started saving the ones I saw back when I was arguing with people on the internet. I probably don't have a "complete" collection, but I've got about 20, with only one that's an edit-duplicate of another.

Sorry for the late notice, here is tonight's program:
Merrie Melodies: The Woods are Full of Cuckoo]/s]s
The Honeymooners: Brother Ralph
Idiocracy (2006)
The fictional movie that feels more like a documentary.

>>365698I haven't seen that movie in a long time. I've seen it at least twice, but I wonder how it'll feel watching it this time.
If anyone wants to follow up with another afterparty, I'll be online all night, officially starting at 8PM EST, i.e. two hours from now. I'm happy to let the chat pick via poll/request what to play. We can watch more of Asha Logos' series on Aryan history, Our Subverted History; we can share game content, such as the classic Let's Play God Hand by Kung-Fu Jesus or the extra-detailed alternative LP done by mkob; we could get a real movie going by watching Night on the Galactic Railroad, or a little rerun of Idiocracy for those who missed it last night; we can talk it out ^^
>>365711Oops, might need a link for yeh.

I think I fixed the image embed filter not being able to do "jpeg" images correctly.
So, it has come to this. Another night of merriment and Ponies. When the inevitable is something fun, I think that's something to celebrate.
I'm popping some videos of people playing music to farm animals (including horses!), Some skit videos from Scootertrix Studios that I'm sure you're going to love, BGM's new song that he just released an hour or two ago, a couple of skits / scene rewrites / concept trailers that use 15.ai voices, and the regular mix of music and ReBoot episodes.
I think we're going to have a good time tonight.
In ReBoot news, we sadly lost the
Saucy Mare F for the Saucy Mare last week in a gambit to retake the Principal Office. Thank goodness it worked. We watched that major fight scene where Matrix kicked Megabyte's ass and sent him into a monster-infested lovecraftian hell. The issue for the rest of the story arc, which is the rest of this season, is that the system itself is very damaged. That's bad. Shit gets a little weird. We might see a return of someone from Matrix's past. Also keep your eyes open for visual references. This is from back when you could do those in a public project without worrying too much about legal issues.
Pony Theme Of The Week is Fluttershy and Panic, because I saw a couple images of that on the PonerPics front page.
ReBoot Episodes38 (v3.4.3)
System Crash - 17 January 1998 (Canada)
Megabyte is sent to The Web and Mainframe begins to crash. The Instability causes tears that allow saved User avatars from games of previous episodes to leak into the city and attack. While the protagonists fend them off, Bob tries to save the system by entering the core.
Cultural references: Four binomes are dressed up as KISS. Another five are dressed and act like the girls of Sailor Moon. Fax Modem and Data Nully (the parodies of Fox Mulder and Dana Scully) appear, Modem is witnessed looking at two signs, one saying "B.C." and the other "L.A." (lampooning David Duchovny moving The X-Files production from Vancouver to Los Angeles). A binome wearing a fedora is chased by a giant 8-ball, just like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Bob goes into the Core in order to save Mainframe and is exposed to radiation. When Megabyte tells him there is nothing he can do, Bob replies with "I don't believe in the no-win scenario", a reference to Captain Kirk's line in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Afterwards, he asks: "System... out of danger?", another reference to Star Trek II, in which Spock asks, "Ship... out of danger?" after having exposed himself to radiation to save the Enterprise.
39 (v3.4.4)
End Prog - 24 January 1998 (Canada)
A game cube threatens to push the crashing Mainframe over the edge. The User restores the system, and everything returns to a functional state, effectively returning it to what it was before the war, with a few exceptions. A five minute musical summary of the episodes Web World Wars to End Prog plays beginning after the credits start to roll.
Cultural references: Lieutenant Chauncy, on being cured by the User of Megabyte's infection, exclaims "Oh Great Norton's Ghost!", a reference to disk-recovery guru Peter Norton and the popular Norton Utilities software suite.
The musical is performed to the tune of Gilbert and Sullivan's "Major-General's Song".

Hey all, just letting everyone know that I will be away on horse-related business this weekend, and as such will not be available to screen films. You'll have to make do without me, I'm afraid. We will return to our usual format next week.
>>366233F. Your sacrifice for the hoers will not be in vain. Praise be to Football.
In that case, what will we watch tomorrow night? We could watch the one movie mentioned a few weeks ago, Night on the Galactic Railroad, as it is on youtube. We could watch Redacted, a movie length season of SCP related short films. We could focus on non-movie content such as let's plays or editorial videos. Any suggestions, frens?
>>366233Thanks for calling ahead, Elway.
>>366237Before thinking about putting non-movie content on, I think it would be nice to have an idea of how much time the non-movie content in the second half of the stream takes up.
Outside of the two pony episodes, do we mind if the rest of the content is pony related?
The easiest thing to do would be to plug the movie and extra content into the playlist via internet archive. It's worked before.
I have a two hour black and white video from an anticommunist society that I've been meaning to watch. It just might be a bit long for a serious subject during shenanigans night.
Regardless, we have options. I'll keep an eye on the thread tonight for suggestions.
It might be an idea to put two movies in with some episodes of something in between as a spacer. Fewer choices to make and simpler organization.
>>366259I personally just like finding and being shown new stuff, poni or not. I'm not opposed to watching the black and white film. I'm just one guy though -- were it up to me, I'd be subjecting you to nearly five hours of a little cat person with a light bulb questioning his existence.
Poor Niko. Poor, poor Niko...
I'm making an extra-long playlist and add some more Red Green episodes. I picked randomly from a "top ten episodes" list I found somewhere, I'll try doing that again. Then I have a movie in mind, if I can manage to find a copy.
Theme of the week is bondage because it is REAL easy to get lost on the "video selection" process, making any deadline always feel
tight.
I've got almost half an hour of non-pony stuff, if I remember right. Right now I have a few episodes of the Red Green show after the normal pre-stream. I wasn't able to find a copy of the movie I wanted to show this week, so I think the best thing to do might be to try to actually livestream a movie from my computer. Then again, I know of a couple of YouTube videos that would fit our time requirements...
Bottom of the line: The back end of the night still needs a little work.
This season of ReBoot was actually aired as two movies. I think it may have been for pacing reasons. I'll keep the tab open to add new episodes if the pacing is off and people are in to that. The movies may have just been chopped into four 22 minute episodes without regard for pacing, but we'll find out.
ReBoot Episodes40 (v4.1.1) Daemon Rising 18 - November 2001 (Canada)
The forces of Daemon have infected most of the net, and begin to invade Mainframe. Hexadecimal seals the system but at a certain cost.
Cultural references: The game in this episode is a parody of both James Bond and Austin Powers films. Matrix is loaded as Dr. Evil and Enzo as Mini-Me. The UPC on the back of the DVD case Phong gives to Enzo is the actual UPC for the original Season 4 DVD release of ReBoot.
41 (v4.1.2) Cross Nodes - 18 November 2001 (Canada)
Daemon continues to plan in order to retrieve Bob, who could help her infect the entire net. Matrix comes across a fully infected Turbo, and Hexadecimal experiences a certain change.
Cultural references: The Stargate-style Gateway Command from "When Games Collide" is shown again. Also, Dot's father bears several similarities to the character Dr. Jackson in the Stargate movie and TV show, such as having theories about life off-world. Mike the TV sings a parody of a gospel song, while dressed up as James Brown in a scene borrowed from Blues Brothers 2000. The user in the game bears a strong resemblance to Brendan Fraser as he appears in the film The Mummy. Even the game itself is about mummies. The game's description also makes reference to Tomb Raider and upon Rebooting, Dot is disappointed she doesn't have "A pair of .45s" referencing to that game's protagonist Lara Croft. Phong makes reference to Otacon from Metal Gear when Dot does not respond.

Pony Theme of the week is Crossovers, because. Just because.
This is the last two episodes of the first movie, Daemon Rising.
ReBoot Episodes42 (v4.1.3) -
What's Love Got To Do With It? - 18 November 2001 (Canada)
Matrix and Mouse plan to stop Daemon after AndrAIa is infected by her. Meanwhile, Dot tries to get Hexadecimal to bring back her father. Bob attempts to cure Turbo but his code doesn't work.
Cultural references: Bob flashbacks to his tutor Dixon Green, a reference to police show Dixon of Dock Green. Daemon slows down Matrix's bullet, referencing bullet time in The Matrix. Matrix was in a fighting game where he won a Hell in a Cell Match, he later goes on to the ring ropes and yells "AndrAIa" parodying Rocky Balboa's cry to his girlfriend Adrian at the end of the first Rocky movie.
43 (v4.1.4) -
Sacrifice - 18 November 2001 (Canada)
With Matrix, AndrAIa and Mouse converted, Daemon travels to Mainframe herself to complete her plans. Enzo finds himself the only one who can turn the tide, until Hexadecimal gets power from Mainframes core.
Cultural references: Daemon is revealed to be a cron virus, and everything she infected will self-destruct at a scheduled time. In a Unix system, the cron process runs regularly scheduled tasks.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I got a recommendation for Stepbrothers. Based on the trailer I saw, it looks like it might be very funny. Can another Anon check out the trailer or a couple of clips to see if it's the kind of movie that would fit well into the movie night?
>>366476I've seen it as a lad with my family in the theatre and I had a giggle. It might be rich in Jewish humor but I remember it being a bit of wholesome fun.
Welcome, frens, to the weekly Movie Night. We might think about getting another title when we have to remake the thread, since we have so many things other than "a movie" going on.
It's wonderful that there's still a bunch of new stuff coming out every week. I even found out about another album from HeyLasFas from 2014 that I found out about a little while ago. I'll try making an album a full week's playlist one of these days.
There's an hour an a half of pre-stream content, roughly, so I'll go ahead and start it.
Pony of the week is... Celestia.
In ReBoot news, we've finished with the Daemon storyline, and we're starting to deal with the two (2) Bobs here. That's a thing now. And there's no horrific disaster happening for once, the characters can focus on interacting with each other like earlier in the show. Lower-stakes vibes is a good tonal shift to have once in a while.
ReBoot Episodes44 (v4.2.1) -
My Two Bobs - 25 November 2001 (Canada)
With the Daemon threat gone, a second Bob appears in Mainframe, leaving Dot with a difficult decision as to which one to marry. Meanwhile Matrix and "New Bob" deal with a game as "Glitch Bob" questions if he is in fact a copy.
Cultural references: The beginning is somewhat similar to the classic series The Brady Bunch. The game is a parody of the Pokémon games, with the player being a parody of a Dragon Ball Z character. When Matrix goes to attack the user Bob shouts out, "stop trying to hit him and hit him." This is a reference to the Matrix. The Pokémon style game they are playing is called "Pantsu Hebi X", a potentially R-rated title as it literally translates to "Underwear (or trouser) Snake X" in Japanese.
45 (v4.2.2) -
Life's A Glitch - 25 November 2001 (Canada)
'Glitch-Bob' thinks about separating Glitch from himself to return to his normal self. Matrix, AndrAIa, Enzo, Phong, and "New Bob" deal with a game that has a familiar User.
Cultural references: Hack and Slash are ReBooted into two soda/soft drink cans called "POKE" and "PEEK", two commands used in the BASIC programming language. In addition, Hack and Slash are red and blue cans of soda. Poke (a word similar to Coke) is on the red can, while Peek (in reference to Pepsi) is on the blue can. Phong reboots into a container of Yogurt, and he speaks in the sentence structure and voice of Yoda, or more specifically, of Yogurt, the Yoda parody character from Spaceballs. There is also a reference to Star Trek – when Glitch-Bob is trying to remove Glitch from himself he steps into a teleporter from Star Trek. Prior to this, on his first attempt to separate himself and Glitch, Bob uses what looks like the telepods from The Fly. As he steps in, Bob assumes the same pose as Jeff Goldblum in the film. When his final attempt fails and he is frozen, Bob assumes the pose of Han Solo frozen in carbonite. There are other Star Wars references, with little Enzo pod racing and big Enzo's doll looking like Darth Vader, as well as the "Use the sauce" line.

Starting a new series tonight. I find this show comfy af, not sure how this group will respond to it. Hopefully you will all enjoy.
One more week, and with this we wrap up the episodes of ReBoot. Major spoilers in here, so I apologize for all the black all over the episode descriptions. There are three more videos that are a kind of documentary on the series and how they made it. For internet culture relevance, this is the documentary where the "for kids" phrase with air quotes comes from. I'd like to put them in, but only one of them is five minutes. The others are twenty to thirty-ish minutes, and that's too long for the timeline we've got right now.
I know that next week I announced that we'd watch the '97 Berserk, but I'd like to float an idea. It's 14 and a half hours of video content in chunks ranging from around an hour and a half to the less than 10 hours of content in the 25 episode '97 series in 22 minute chunks. This is the -Berserk Redux-, and it is a project one person made that compiles as complete a telling of the Berserk story possible using all available sources of video berserk media. There are clips from the '97 series, the 2016/17 series, the videogames, and the movies. Compiled into story arcs. I have downloaded these from a site like dailymotion, but I have not watched them yet. I might be able to pipe them into the room, but that would depend on them still being up.
Since a chunk of this is just whatever new stuff I've stumbled on to, you're getting a few comedy skits from a channel I watched three short videos of. Harry Potter, but with insane scripting.
It's already a bit past seven, so the pony theme is... Daybreaker, to go off of Celestia from last week.
ReBoot Episodes46 (v4.2.3) -
Null-Bot Of The Bride - 25 November 2001 (Canada)
With "Glitch-Bob" incapacitated in the Supercomputer, Dot decides to marry the new Bob, but as "Glitch-Bob" regains his health and original form, the new arrival is revealed to be a disguised Megabyte.Cultural references: The episode title and the events surrounding the wedding preparations recall the Father of the Bride films, both the originals and the Steve Martin remakes.
47 (v4.2.4) -
Crouching Binome, Hidden Virus - 25 November 2001 (Canada)
With Megabyte now a shape-shifting Trojan horse virus, Bob, Dot and the others attempt to track him down and capture him. However, Megabyte tricks them and seizes control of the Principal Office, and swears revenge in the form of a Predatory Hunt. The series concluded with a cliffhanger ending. In 2008, Rainmaker attempted a continuation via the web-comic "Paradigms Lost" written by Jeffrey Campbell, but it remains uncanonical to the series proper.
Cultural references: Mike the TV (a disguised Megabyte trying to incite panic) asks the rhetorical question "Is that really your pussy, Mrs. Slocombe?!". This is in reference to the BBC television series Are You Being Served?, in which the character Mrs. Slocombe owns a cat that she always refers to as her pussy. The scene in which two binomes drive over a bridge and send members of the "neo-virals" flying is a parody of the scene in The Blues Brothers, in which the brothers drove over a bridge and disrupted a neo-Nazi demonstration. As well, the license plate of their car reads BDR 529, that being the license plate number of the Blues Brothers' car. The last police unit at the bridge has the ID A12, a reference to police TV series Adam-12. The title is a pun on the Chow Yun Fat film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The "Gateway Command" design is from Stargate. "Don't you love it when a plan comes together?" was a catchphrase from The A-Team.

Chat with you soon!
I'm getting the playlist together now. I've found Berserk '97 on Internet Archive. We will be watching the dub, since this is one of maybe 3 animes of the era where the dub is actually pretty good.
I also made a thread on /mlp/ for the stream, so we might get some additional people in the chat tonight.
Stream is up and running. Something's coming up for me IRL, so I have to be away from my keyboard for a while. Stream Night Start post will happen in a bit.
The early stuff is just a show music video on a vinyl record.
The short of it is that I made a thread on /mlp/ to invite them over, so we might have more people in the chatroom this week.
Here is the movie schedule for tonight:
Merrie Melodies: Now That Summer is Gone
The Honeymooners: The Man From Space
Outside Providence (1999)
Hroeiess:S8 Eps 7 and 8
Amnimue:Barakamon Eps 3 and 4
Also, since Flappy forgot to put it in his post, here is the link to the cytube:
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylMovie program will begin when pre-stream concludes.
I made a thread on /mlp/ to try to invite more people, so I'm putting a half hour of show music ahead of the normal stream time, just in case people hop in early.
This is the week where we'll be starting Berserk. For those who haven't watched the 97 series, the movies, the Berserk Redux thing, or who haven't read the manga, you're in for a treat. This is a very significant series. There are plenty of video essays discussing this (which I've made an effort to archive), but the very short bulletpoints are that the music, character, and the _weight_ behind the violence is fantastic. The first episode starts "in media res", and then the rest of the '97 series is a flashback arc. This anime run covers the introduction to Berserk.
You would be well served to not spoil yourself on Berserk if you haven't read or watched it yet. It's not the worst thing ever, but you'd be robbing yourself of incredible experiences.
Berserk Episodes1 -
The Black SwordsmanA girl is being assaulted in a bar when Guts walks in. He kills all the assailants but one and orders him to tell his master, the Baron, that the Black Swordsman is coming. Guts later finds and kills the Baron, and removes a demonic relic called a Behelit from around his neck. Soon after, Guts remembers the events in his past of when he fought the knight Bazuso.2 -
The Band of the HawkIn a flashback, Guts remembers when as a mercenary he killed the knight Bazuso. Later he encounters the group who would change his destiny: the Band of the Hawk. Corkus attempts to rob Guts and Griffith sends Casca to help him, but Guts defeats her. Guts then challenges Griffith, who grievously wounds him. Griffith orders Casca to lie with Guts during his convalescence. When Guts recovers days later, Griffith asks the swordsman to join his group but again he challenges Griffith to a sword fight.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hello, hi, how're you doing on this fine Friday?
The weather's getting really cold in the morning and really hot during the day. It's that time of year. Y'know what's better than the weather? Pony.
This week, we've got 100% pony content
(because I added that first before my spacer stuff and decided to try it out again). No shorts this time to space things out. Highlights include Brony Polka, but replaced with the original songs, a duet of songs titled “Flight” and “Flightless”, Electric Wings made an animation to go with Mare Vs. Machine, and I just found out that Deavas86 made a Brony Metal Medley 2, to pair with Bronyfied's original Brony Metal Medley.
Pony of the Week is Bulk Biceps / Snowflake.
In the Berserk section, we get to see Guts fighting Griffith, Guts being
really hardcore in a way that I've never really seen done elsewhere.
Berserk Episodes3 - First BattleGriffith defeats Guts, and makes him a member of the Band of the Hawk – an alliance between the philosopher and the berserker. The Hawks go on a midnight raid and Griffith chooses Guts for the most important position of rear guard; Guts succeeds and the band hails him as a hero.4 - The Hand of GodGuts settles in with the Band of the Hawk, and Griffith shows him his Behelit. Guts remembers his childhood, being raised by his adoptive father and mentor Gambino. The young Guts was forced to kill Gambino when he tried to kill the boy he blamed for his wife's death. Three years pass and the Band of the Hawk grow in power and numbers.https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylSee you soon!
Does anyone know what's going on with "replay bot"? I didn't add a bot to the room. I suspect it's just there as clumsy telemetry, so if it doesn't have a clear or useful purpose, I think I'll try to kick it.

New Scootertrix Studios video ahoy!
Ponies Vs The French. The other big headline for tonight, is what looks like a twelve-minute documentary on what happened to Mister Davie/Davey. I don't know if this is from someone in the fandom or not. Outside of that, we've got the regular smattering of Pony music and a few non-pony items to break things up.
I'm still putting the finishing touches on it, but the room has an album running in it right now.

The Berserk Episodes this week will be Episodes 6, 7, and 8, since we watched 5 last week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 6 -
Zodd The ImmortalGuts leads his men to raid a castle under Chuder occupation, but his men are wiped out by Nosferatu Zodd the Immortal, a fearsome giant warrior. Guts enters the castle keep and engages Zodd in battle. When Guts manages to stab him, Zodd transforms into his 300-year-old demon form. Zodd nearly kills Guts before Griffith and a group of Hawks comes to his aid, but they are ineffective. When Zodd is about to kill Griffith he sees the Behelit and ceases his attack. He then sprouts wings and flies off, telling Guts that should Griffith's dream die, it will be his doom.Episode 7 -
The Sword MasterThough he and Guts are still injured from their encounter with Nosferatu Zodd, Griffith uses it to get closer to the King and his daughter Charlotte. Guts and some of the Hawks feel that Griffith is pulling away from them.Episode 8 -
ConspiracyGriffith and Guts continue to have success in battle and Griffith is made a count. The king's brother, General Julius, is furious about this as he and Minister Foss plot Griffith's murder with a poison arrow during an upcoming hunt.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, just to let everyone know, I will be away next week and will not be able to show movies. Our regular program will resume the following week.
This might be the wrong place for this, but how were we going to co-ordinate for Mare Fair? I can't find "The Discord". I do have a discord account, but I'm just not in the room.
>>367172Old fashion and well done. Thanks.
Yes that's right Movie night is still on this week sort of.
I mentioned this in the Mare Fair thread, but my travel plans fell through and I wasn't able to make it to Florida. It looks like Occult has picked up the slack for the week and has something planned, and I have no intention of stepping on his toes since I announced already that I wouldn't be available. However, I'm just letting people know that I will also technically be available to stream this week if needed. Since it's an off-week and it sounds like several of our usual crowd won't be here I don't intend to try and do the regular program, but I do have some fun comfy stuff I could potentially run if anyone is interested.
>>367265If anybody shows up the stage is all yours if you want.
There are a couple of neat animations talking about Mare Fair. I'm sorry, Elway and anyone else who wasn't able to come, but they're pretty good, so I'm putting them in.
>>367715>Quality contents featuring MaresI don't see the problem.
>>367715No objections whatsoever, if anything I'd like to absorb what I missed vicariously.
Also, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Have You Got Any Castles?
The Honeymooners: The Babysitter
Galaxy Quest (1999)Requested by...someone, I forget who. In any case it's a fun movie.
Maresmaresmaresmaresmaresmares:S8, eps 13 and 14
Anime Tiddies:Barakamon eps 9 and 10
After this week, we only have two more episodes of Barakamon left. Since we're getting into spoopy season, I have a Halloween-themed anime we can watch next. I will also see if I can find some fun spoopy movies to show for the next few weeks.
Mare Fair was last week, Thanksgiving Weekend is this week. Let's kick it off.
Between the Mare Fair animations made for the convention (one to promote the event, one to open the event), AcidFangs' Re-Animated version of Cupcakes HD, another Dawn Somewhere animation, a new Cinemare Sins video, and more animations and micro animation projects, more than usual in the pre-movie Stream is animation as opposed to music. All this content feels kind of triumphant, doesn't it?
Mares are, of course, the emphasized theme this week, so it's only pony content this week. No non-mlp related videos or EQG songs, that's the goal.
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 9 -
AssassinationDuring the hunt, Griffith and Charlotte grow close before the former is shot in the chest with a poisoned arrow. Luckily, Griffith's Behelit takes the arrow and he survives unscathed. Griffith deduces Julius to be the culprit and recruits Guts to secretly kill the noble.Episode 10 -
NoblemanGuts assassinates Julius, but is emotionally scarred when forced to kill Julius' son Adonis to conceal the deed. Later, he hears Griffith tell Charlotte that he would consider a true friend to be his equal, someone with his own dreams and who follows his own path. Guts realises that although he is close to Griffith, he is not his friend.Episode 11 -
Battle EngagementGriffith and the Hawks lead the march into battle against the Blue Whale Knights. Casca has a fever, and after fighting with Adon Coborlwitz she falls unconscious off a cliff, Guts goes after her. They are washed downriver, and Guts finds a cave where he must keep Casca warm with his body.I hope those titles aren't too spoiler-y. This is a series that rewards learning things when you're supposed to learn them.
>>367721>I will also see if I can find some fun spoopy movies to show for the next few weeks.<Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. It's an absolutele gorgeous film with an actually decent dub.<Blood: The Last Vampire. Another super high-quality classic. Has more of a grounded real world feel than VampHunterD's cyberpunk fantasy western post-apocalypse feel.
>>367733I actually have Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, maybe we can do that one next week.
We're in to Spooky Month now, and getting closer to Nightmare Night (also Halloween). In respect for that, we'll be having a slightly spooky themed night. Not full-on spooky. More like spoopy. In line with that, Flutterbat shall be tonight's theme.
The MLP Anniversary Stream is going on now, and they're on Season 7, Episode 19 as I type this. I'm not sure if we want to cancel anything or reorganize, but I guess you have two different vibes and streams to watch if you want.
In Berserk, we've got a great scene in the last episode. The Campire/Bonfire of Dreams. You might have heard of the concept of a bonfire like in Dark Souls. This is where the Dark Souls creator got the idea. It's also got one of the best examples of character writing I've seen, right after that scene.
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 12 -
Two PeopleGuts tends to Casca but she still resents him. She tells her story of how Griffith helped her save herself from being raped, and give her a choice in life so she followed him. She watched him pragmatically go with a pederast lord to earn money to create his army and fulfill his dream. When Guts came, she knew that she would not be Griffith's chosen friend.Episode 13 -
Suicidal ActAdon Coborlwitz and his Blue Whale Knights find Guts and Casca. Though completely outnumbered, Guts tells Casca to run and stays to fight. Some men go after Casca, catching her and holding her down in order to rape her. Guts continues fighting.Episode 14 -
Campfire Of DreamsCasca defeats her attackers, and she and Guts end up back at the camp. Guts and Casca share a tender moment, where Guts explains that everyone in the camp has a dream but all he has is his sword, causing Casca to think he's leaving.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey all, movie schedule will be up in just a moment.
Here is tonight's schedule:
Looney Tunes: Porky's Party
The Honeymooners: The $99,000 Answer
Friday the 13th (1980)
Since today is literally Friday the 13th + it's October, this felt appropriate.
Horseeeeee
S8 15 and 16
Animeeeeee
Barakamon eps 11 and 12 (final episodes)
Hi guys,
It seems I fell asleep sometime during the credits of the movie and didn't wake up again until the next morning. The chatroom makes it seem like something was decided in the group. Can I get an update on that situation?
I'm sorry I missed the finale of the anime. Almost every episode felt like the ending scene of a heartwarming movie, so I've got to go see how this show pushed the bar for comfy.
I seem to be having some trouble getting CyTube up. The pre-stream will depend on how this gets resolved.
>>368377I got that worked out. I was messing with my browser settings a little while ago, and I think I found what went weird with that.
Spooky Month, The Next Part
There's a theme in these. Lots of glowing eyes, spooky faces, villain focus, and general lack of friendliness in the thumbnails.
Highlights of this week include a fanfic reading, and all four parts so far of PrinceWhateverer's
Destabilize album. The fanfic is Pony Tales, a Grimdark/Tragedy/Horror fic.
The Hundred-Year War arc in Berserk is wrapping up. Griffith keeps impressing people. Some people don't like that. Guts is a badass again. You'll see plenty of “animation”, but just remember the incredible quality of the soundtrackof the show to take your mind off it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 15 -
The Decisive BattleGriffith volunteers the Hawks to reclaim the impregnable Fortress of Doldrey from a Chuder governor named Gennon and the Purple Rhino Knights in his service. Guts learns that Griffith's unsavory history was with Gennon when he was a noble. The Hawks begin their assault before pulling back. Their boats are burned and there is nowhere to retreat to as the Chuder army leaves the fortress in pursuit.Episode 16 -
The ConquerorThe retreat was a ruse and Casca takes the fortress, defeating Adon and the few remaining guards. Guts fights with the Rhino Knights' command Boscogn before his sword breaks, only to gain a sword that was provided by Zodd from a great distance. Guts uses the sword to kill Boscogn while Griffith kills a wounded Gennon to assure the Hawks' victory.Episode 17 -
Moment of GloryThe Hawks' reclaiming of Doldrey marks the end of the Hundred-Year War between Midland and Chuder. The King holds a ball for the mercenaries in their honor. The Queen, Charlotte's stepmother and Julius's secret lover, hatches a scheme with Foss to poison Griffith during the banquet. However, before the event, Foss receives a disturbing letter. During the toast, Griffith falls to the floor.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

>>368469>VISIBLE EXCITEMENT
The Big Spooktime. Or at least as close as we can get on the Friday this year.
It was really nice that we got a Friday the 13th this October.
I've got some Nightmare Night themed stuff, obviously. Only four-ish versions of the Nightmare Night song. I thought that I'd found more stuff like comic dubs and appropriate fanfiction readings, but I guess that'll have to wait for format experimentation later.
In MLP news, I assume we're watching some MLP episodes. I found a pack of the best halloween episodes from the MLP official channel, so that's an option for later. If people have Nightmare Night themed stuff they want to watch, bring the links.
In Berserk news, Griffith is playing the game of courtly bullshit. Turns out he's pretty good at that, too. I'm sure things will go just fine from this point onwards.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 18 -
Tombstone of FlamesThe Queen and the conspirators believe they succeeded in poisoning Griffith and that he is dead. However, while they are celebrating, their room is locked and the tower is engulfed in flames. Griffith is still alive and watches them burn, having forced Foss to aid him by kidnapping his daughter. Griffith has again used Guts to remove his competition. Guts decides to leave and tells a pleading Casca that he does not want to be caught up in Griffith's dream anymore.Episode 19 -
PartingAs Guts leaves, he is challenged by Griffith and manages to defeat him and earn his freedom. However, Guts' departure affects Griffith psychologically and he spends a night of passion with Charlotte in a lapse of judgement. When Griffith leaves the next morning, he is apprehended and arrested by the guards.Episode 20 -
The SparkA year has passed and Guts is living with Godo, a swordsmith, and his granddaughter Erica. Guts learns that the Band of the Hawk are now wanted outlaws and Casca is their captain. Guts goes to them and finds them battling foreign mercenaries.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Room is ready. Actual playlist will start at some point.
Hi guys. For tonight, I'll put on a Spikey Wikey Guest Mix that was on PoniesAtDawn's channel, followed by Moonrise: A Symphonic Metal Opera. That one's a lyric video rather than a still image.
I'll get the Berserk section put together right after this, I just wanted to make sure there was something in the channel.
Berserk Episodes
Episode 21 - Confession
Guts helps the Hawks drive off the mercenaries. Casca has a plan to rescue Griffith from the Tower of Rebirth where he is being held. Casca blames Guts for Griffith's problems, but realizes it is not his fault. They make love and Guts asks her to go away with him after the rescue.
Episode 22 - The Infiltration
Casca and Guts go into the dungeon under the Tower of Rebirth to rescue Griffith, finding him mute, crippled and horribly disfigured from a year of seemingly endless torture. Meanwhile, the members of the Hawk are slaughtered at their camp by monsters led by a green fairy.
Episode 23 - Eve of the Feast
Back at the camp, everyone is forlorn because of Griffith's terrible condition. The Raiders ask Guts to take them along with him. Casca feels she must take care of Griffith, and tells Guts to leave. Delirious and horrified at what he has been reduced to, Griffith takes off in a wagon and crashes into the river. He finds his Behelit and unintentionally activates it, taking everyone present to the Astral Realm.
We've got some major spoilery stuff happening here, so I'll cover it.
>>368716>>368718>>368720For the record (You) are all awesome people. Thank you.
And thank you everybody. It wouldn't be the same without you.
Here's a recommendation: Tremors.
One of my faves.
>>368757>TremorsIf I'm not mistaken, that movie was already streamed.
>>368766>>368757Technically it was already streamed, but we can do it again. We've done repeats before.
>>368777Huh, apparently Tremors was one of the movies shown on the very first night I took over doing the movie streams. Weirdly nostalgic.
A third of the way in to November, and the chill is starting to pick up, isn't it? Thankfully, we have the cure to at least some of the chill right here, so step right up, my dudes.
I thought I'd go back to trying some slightly more organized themed nights. I've been listening to some of Woodlore's stuff this week, and I've really taken a liking to a few of his songs. The more energetic songs are country songs, if you want to get some dance emote thumbnails ready to post ahead of time. In respect of that, I'm nominating Trouble Shoes as the Pony of the Week.
In Berserk, we're finally finishing up the episode run of the ‘97 series. Prepare yourself. I've heard that it's good to watch the first episode again after this, since the whole series here was technically a flashback arc, and just a prologue to the story. There's a bunch of other stuff to watch. There are the out-takes, a full abridged series from one of the guys who would later form team four star, and a few songs on YouTube. After the out-takes, I think we'll watch something else for a season.
What sort of show would you like to see next? What sort of mood are you looking for?
Berserk EpisodesEpisode 24 -
EclipseThe four archdemons of the God Hand awake and inform Griffith that he has been chosen to be their final member. For his baptism, Griffith must offer his friends as a sacrifice to the God Hand's Apostles. Griffith is shown visions of his past to convince him that the lives of his men are trivial in regard to the fulfillment of his dream. Guts climbs a mountain of flesh to try and stop Griffith from becoming a demon, but Griffith accepts the God Hand's offer. The entire Band of Hawk are branded as sacrificial offerings for the unborn child of darkness, Griffith.Episode 25 -
Perpetual TimeThe Apostles assume their true forms and commence the Eclipse feasting by devouring those branded as offerings. Griffith is reborn as the fifth God Hand, Femto, and rapes Casca in front of Guts. Guts is forced to cut off his left forearm to stop his former friend while his right eye is gouged out. A post-credits scene shows Guts in the physical world with his wounds healed as he leaves Godo's house to exact his revenge on Griffith and the Apostles ending the series on a cliffhanger.Episode 01 -
The Black Swordsman Yes, the first episode againA girl is being assaulted in a bar when Guts walks in. He kills all the assailants but one and orders him to tell his master, the Baron, that the Black Swordsman is coming. Guts later finds and kills the Baron, and removes a demonic relic called a Behelit from around his neck. Soon after, Guts remembers the events in his past of when he fought the knight Bazuso.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
>>369162>Unless anyone else wants to submit some requestsSome Matrix movie, including Animatrix.
>>369154say hi to AZGchip for me and that he forgot to take a bar of soap with him
Happy pre-Thanksgiving week everybody!
We've got for the
preshow the Animatrix*, it's better than the movie because
A) Robot hors
B) Digitized hors
C) multiple short stories
Recap
>Humans once lived with machines as the machines were enslaved both forgot about hors pussy. As feminism turns to robo feminism from dishwashers to dishwashers, conflict breeds.>Our plucky protagonists have to find and use the elements of harmony to blast Nightmare Moon from eternal night!Where the fuck is our plucky protagonists?>In the hellscape of future New Jersey nobody thought of leaving, not even the dishwashers. That's how fucked the future is.>Instead they sit around watching and acting out sit-coms without cute pones. The horror. The horror.Prestream opens at the usual time.
>>369164Good news I found parts of it, and it's easily accessible.
Bad news it's parts of it.
As a prestream I leave the main event to Elway
unless shit hits the fan and something will be cobbled together for the movie section of movie night
>>369186Thus far it's looking like nothing has hit the fan, so the movie portion will be the same as usual tonight.
If needed, I can probably also find some extra stuff if you don't have enough to do a full prestream.Tonight's menu will be:
Merrie Melodies: Little Pancho Vanilla
The Honeymooners: Here Comes the Bride
Tremors 2: Aftershocks (1996)
MLP:S8 eps 23 and 24
Anime:NightWalker eps 9 and 10
once again I screwed up the episode numbers last week, no idea why I have so much trouble with this, but last week was 7 and 8, this week is 9 and 10, and we will finish the series next week
I really enjoyed the kirin episode. Sadly, the episode with Spike's father is too much(not sayin its bad but that that type of story hits certain strings). I'm too weak, for now.
>>369214>Spike's father>implyingI hope Ember finds out what that nigger did to Spike.
Loved the Kirin episode too, btw.
Paprika has music by the same guy who did music for Berserk and the same director as Perfect Blue. It might be good for movie night.
Will we be continuing the Tremors series? Or perhaps watch a Thanksgiving-themed movie? I'm hoping we could watch Demolition Man sometime.
What do you guys think of having like listening to an audiobook as well as (or instead of) a movie? Like a normal stream but its an audiobook playing in the background.
Something like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bkEYUkv4PE&ab_channel=H.P.LovecraftAudiobookAlso, this https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/anti-adblock-detector/kjhdffcfinhkdfbbhjlfoadcdfgihmlp?pli=1 Cuz fuck yt
I'm ready to start the playlist at any time. There's a pre-pre-stream pre-made pony music playlist on the go now. 'Cause I can.
There was a new Pony Thread Simulator from BGM relatively recently, so I figure we'll watch that. Since last week we did the Anthology, let's watch the Antithology (2023) this week.
Pony Theme Of The Week is Ponies In Different Art Styles.
Heya folks, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Porky in Egypt
The Honeymooners: Mama Loves Mambo
Hearts of the West (1975)
Hrose:
S8 Eps 25 and 26
Amine:
NightWalker eps 11 and 12
We will be finishing both S8 and NightWalker tonight. Next week: new pony season + new anime or cartoon
Also, I don't think the link has been technically posted so here it is:
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
>>369659Much needed. Thanks.
>>369659Well... I guess that explains the slowness of the night. My bad, thanks for the save.
Managed to catch the last half of the last episode with u guys. It was blast. ^^
>>369478>>369257I don't have any of the Tremors series past 2, but I can look into getting them. Paprika we can definitely do.
>>369611Audio-only stream in place of a movie probably wouldn't work for movie night, but I wouldn't be opposed to an audiobook stream at some point.
>>369669Nice, happy to have you join us.
>>369669I'm glad to hear you had a fun time!
I'm varying the format a bit tonight. I've got more bumpers as shorts to break up the music and animations, which are clustered, there are two bits of mainstream alt-news channels I popped in. I also dropped two ten minute videos of what might be an interesting comedy routine, based on the first minute I watched of it and skimming the first few comments when I scrolled down.
I'd like to show Drawn Together as the next show, but I'm still looking for a place to pipe it in from. They put some effort to take the full episodes down from YT, and I couldn't find it on Internet Archive, so I'm out of ideas in the short term. For the time being, I don't know exactly what I'd be streaming next. I'm hoping for something more on the lighthearted, silly side. Ideally something that also does classic political edgelord humour.
Pony Of The Week is Octavia.
Halfway through Horsemas Month, and we're here again for our weekly tradition.
I was able to find a source on Internet Archive for our next weekly show. I picked CyberSix because it's relatively short (13 episodes), and is a great example of animation. It's got an interesting history, too, which I'll either use as fodder for the weekly introduction descriptions, or I might drop a documentary on it in the playlist one day.
The Pony Theme of the week is animation, so I popped some nice animated gifs in here.
CyberSixEpisode 01 -
[Mysterious Shadow]Science teacher Lucas Amato befriends his new coworker Adrian Seidelman. What Lucas doesn't know is Adrian is actually a female gynoid lab experiment known as Cybersix. They unknowingly work together to defeat Fixed Ideas, creatures created by Cybersix's creator Dr. Von Reichter, and prevent Reichter's son José from having counterfeiting scam.Episode 02 -
Data7 & JulianAdrian meets Julian, a young orphaned boy forcing to steal anything from others. Cybersix reunites with Data-7, a black panther infused with the DNA and memories of Cyber-29, Cybersix's brother whom Dr. Von Reichter sends after her.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello folks, it's that time again. Tonight we will be starting a new cartoon series and a new season of MLP.
Here is tonight's schedule:
Merrie Melodies: You're an Education
The Honeymooners: Please Leave the Premises
Hackers (1995)
I tried to find something Christmasy but unfortunately everything I have we've already watched, so I've instead selected this technologically preposterous but enjoyable movie that I've been wanting to show for awhile. I should have something holiday-themed for next week.
Poners:
S9 episodes 1 and 2. We are now officially entering the doldrums of the series. Abandon hope all ye who enter.
Non-Hoers Animation Hour
Gargoyles episodes 1 and 2. Starting a new series tonight, not sure how many people will be familiar with this show but hopefully we will all enjoy it.
Merry Horsemas, Everyone!
Well, for the last official Watch Party before Christmas, at least. I hope the season's been treating you well, and that things will continue to improve.
Most of what's here this week is music, broken up by occasional shorts from ker, and a 23 minute compilation of ten years of Magpie's Pony Comic dubs in a compilation. I don't watch a lot of comic dubs, so we'll see how this compilation works out for pacing. The first chunk of the night is occasionally broken up by the shorts of that game developer guy.
Other than that, we proceed with the next two episodes of CyberSix.
Prizes will not be awarded for guessing the Pony Theme Of The Week.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CyberSix EpisodesEpisode 03 -
TerraAs Cybersix wonders what it would be like a date Lucas, Dr. Von Reichter summons Terra, a mud monster that can assimilate other abilities. After battling and attempting to reason themselves, Terra sacrifices himself to save Cybersix from the burning tower.Episode 04 -
Yashimoto, Private EyeLocal detective Yashimoto is blackmailed by José into solving the case about Cybersix's ego after his sister Ikkio and her new friend Julian are kidnapped. After successfully finding her, Cybersix convinces Yashimoto to stop the latest attack.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With that, I think you know everything you need to. You know the drill, same pony time, same pony place.
That means we're open now.https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl

Merry Horsemas all, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Special Surprise Christmastime Programming
It's a surprise.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Sort of a combined Halloween and Christmas movie, since for many of us Halloween never ended.
Hros:
S9 eps 3 and 4
Gragogles:
Eps 3 and 4
>>370041What was the special surprise programming, again? I was exhausted and had to go lie down, but ended up getting up twenty-five minutes after the stream ended.
>>370059Beevus and Butthead Christmas specials.
Here in southern hemisphere, diametrcally opossite geographical location we are Celebrating Litha, the Summer Solstice
The Midsummer celebration: Celebrate the Power of the Sun!
yes that´s the exact definition. PRAISE THE SUN GODDESS CELESTIA!!! (not some kike nailed to a cross)
It's the Friday after Christmas! I hope you're having good holidays so far.
On the playlist for the first half of tonight is some short Christmas animations (including the new doubleWbrothers animation and a non-pony animation), an eleven minute video about Applejack trying to be the responsible one of the group, several PMVs, I'm using Man News as playlist bumpers, and there's a three minute video on some kind of texture pack release. It might be for minecraft or some other very blocky game with square heads. Maybe this will be boring and skippable, but it was released three months ago, so it at least counts as cultural news.
I picked Lemon Heart as the Pony of the Week.

CyberSix EpisodesEpisode 05 -
Lori is MissingLori falls in love with Adrian, but is disgusted to find Cybersix at the apartment where she comes to the conclusion about the personality. When discussing this with Lucas, he feels betrayed by Adrian. However, the two reconcile and save Lori, while José and his minions fail to rob the bank.Episode 06 -
Blue Birds of HorrorWhen José uses the broadcast network for the flock of birds to invade the city, Cybersix and Lucas manage to restore the network and save the birds.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The room is open and running. If you have some music or animations you'd like to post a link to in the room, maybe we'll find time to watch them.

Hey everyone, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: The Night Watchman
The Honeymooners: Pardon My Glove

S9 eps 5 and 6
Gragagolyes:
Eps 5 and 6
Program will commence as always following the preshow. Hope to see you all there.
>>370215>Merrie Melodies: The Night Watchman Rats = niggers
Welcome, welcome! To the first Stream Night of the new year! Have you picked one or two clear new years resolutions yet for this year?
Along with our usual assortment of music and short bumpers, I've put in a few small features. There are two different versions of The Magic Inside. One cover is in English from the channel MJ Smuv, and one is a Polish language cover by a man, from Sapphire Tune. Thee's an SFM MLP/Doctor Who animation Twice Upon A Friendship. It looks to be animated with the style of paper cutouts. It's from the channel Anachonistic ALLOS, and it just came out a month ago. Then there's one three minute video on Republics versus Democracies.
The main feature of the night is ToucanLDM's “Cuphead meets My Little Pony” animation. Ten minutes long, fourteen million views, this video coming from five years ago.
We'll round off that first chunk of the program with the improved version of Smooth Sailin' from BGM.
Pony Theme Of The Week is Ponies In Snow, because I waited too long before I remembered about New Years.

CyberSix EpisodesEpisode 07 -
BrainwashedSix detectives are brainwashed by José's mind-controlling device, one of which is a friend of Julian. However, Cybersix saves them.Episode 08 -
The EyeJosé discovers an eyeball creature draining consciousness from everyone and growing bigger. Cybersix freezes it with the tank of liquid nitrogen and the explosion destroys it, restoring the city's populace.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Two movies that got brought up last night were the Elephant Man and Wagons East.
The last stream night of the month. In celebration of that fact, I thought I'd pack this night with almost wall-to-wall PMVs. They're not all super-complex PMVs, but I'm sure they were all made with heart.
We'll be ending on the second-to-last episode, so for next week, I'll put some other CyberSix related videos in the list. The series only had 13 episodes in it's animated form.
Pony of the Week is Frosty Flakes, a snow pony.

Did you know that we are exactly one day off of being _five_ Stream Nights in February? Ahh well. Maybe next Leap Year.
We'll be wrapping up Cybersix this week. In all that black and red leather. ... Think pony thoughts, think pony thoughts.
Anyway, we'll have the final episode of the season, Episode 13 this week. I'll pair this off with a discussion video on the series I thought was neat enough to bookmark at some point. There's actually a bit of a list: a history video to it, a random skit of someone getting abducted by aliens, an update on an unreal engine pony project, and I've used ScooterTrix's shorts (a few of them) as bumpers in the middle around music. BGM has something new to show us, which involved Fluttershy Still REALLY Likes Humans. What could she possibly mean by that, I wonder? I suppose you'll just have to hang on to your hats and wait with bated breath as we all find out together. Get to the bottom of that mystery.
Mystery. Like what the hell's going to happen at the conclusion of this CyberSix series! They haven't really seemed to give
that much of a fuck about continuity from episode to episode, seeming more like a monster-of-the-week series so far. Still, it's got classic ans stylish vibes around here. I really appreciate how the character doesn't have a logo. It's a small detail, but I think it really sets the show apart.

CyberSix EpisodesEpisode 13 -
The Final ConfrontationWhen Reichter sends a giant moving bomb to the city, Cybersix and Data-7 confront him, after saying goodbye to Lucas and Lori. Jose reverses the plan for the bomb to destroy the hideout and kill Reichter. Cybersix and Data-7 escape, and return to the city.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hiya folks, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Looney Tunes: Porky and Teabiscuit
The Honeymooners: Trapped
The Prestige (2006)
Featuring basically the entire cast of Batman Begins
Horereress:
S9 eps 13 and 14
Grarnaagambog:
S1 ep 13, S2 ep 1. The seasons on this show are weirdly unbalanced; s1 is 13 episodes but S2 is like 50. However, it's basically all one long continuity so you likely won't notice the transition.
Friends, I have to alert you that I'll be heading to /marecon/ this weekend. I think that you could consider joining me at

https://marecon.live/I'll have the room on open free-for-all. Pony should be a priority.
Alright, so it looks like the regular movie night won't be happening this week due to /marecon/. I will save this week's program for next time.
Hey all, it's that time again. Here is tonight's program:

It's a bit of a late scramble this week, so I'll be popping some longer videos. There are two Lotus Eater videos here talking about recent political nonsense, and a 40k audio drama: The Death Of Hope. We'll see what happens later.
I would like to get a new series started tonight, but might not be able to get things up and running so far.
I'm going with Pony Pixel Art for my posts this week.

>>371421>>371420>>All you Anons who also cameThank you all for a great time.
The first of March, and the first of a new series. This might be a minor coincidence, but I still think it's nice.
I hope your weeks were enjoyable. It's been a very mild winter in my area this year, which has been nice on my end.
Playlist highlights of the week are “Project: UCRONIN ~ Full Short Film [My Little Pony Infection AU]” published on FunnyK16, a Cosmonaut Pony remix / cover PMV, a Valentines Special production by Scribbler that I probably should put in while people remember Valentine's Day, a Little Miss Rarity, and a general reminder that I am adding new items to the stream night playlist far faster than I'm taking them out. There are more animations and PMVs in here than I expected there to be.
The series I've picked for our next run is well made. It's an interesting couple of twists on an old concept with a neat art style and great character work in a setting that feels extremely grounded. This is more of a sober series, but it's got enough action going on that I don't think anyone will be disappointed. I remember it having a great soundtrack, but that might be rosy memories. It's one of those series' that gets “vibe” really, really well. The shots and characters have time to breathe. The series itself is only 12 episodes (and an OVA now, too? Neat.), so it shouldn't overstay it's welcome.
To those who've seen the series before, please refrain from major spoilers. This is a vibe series. Let it have it's moments. That includes confirming or denying
Sadly, this will be on Dub mode until I can spend the focus and time on getting livestreaming up and running. I don't want to risk being late because I'm screwing with something unnecessary. I'll mess with stuff after I get the night ready to go the quick and dirty way.
Out of respect to the above Anon, Pony of the Week is Cadance being silly.

Hi guys. I've been trying to think of ways to bring a bit more /oil/ into the watch party / movie night.
Maybe I could start opening up the room on Thursdays for people to bring political videos jn to watch. A kind of "Thinking Thursdays" before the "Funtime Fridays".
The good vibes of the movie night are important, so the discussion from some of the political stuff happening could interfere with that.
I'm thinking of leaving these a bit unstructured to start with, and seeing where things go. There are 10-20 minutes YouTube videos and there are also multi hour long documentaries that are good education. We'll figure the format out as we go.
Remember, if you want to easily link video files, it should either be on a major streaming site, or a direct link to the video file, ideally in .MP4 format, since I don't think CyTube does softsubs that well.
Also, CyTube has had an increase in operation costs, so if anyone is in a position to toss a few coins into the hat to keep the site running, that'd be something to consider.
>>371666>I've been trying to think of ways to bring a bit more /oil/ into the watch party / movie night.I misread this as "bring a bit more loli". Also, nice devil trips.
>>371669>/oil/ instead of /pol/.Autocorrect has fucked me again.
Phoneposting has it's issues.
>>371671>/pol/Okay, that makes a lot more sense then.
I was wondering what /oil/ was, I just assumed it was one of those hyper-specific generals on /mlp/
Okay, guys, let's try this out:
Thinking Thursdays (Name Pending)Pony theme will always be Aryanne, and I'll try to skew things somewhat towards open playlist night, but I can't commit too much to the format.
I'll cue up relatively mainstream professional youtubers who are just awkward enough that you trust that they're doing this themselves, and we'll see where things go.
Up this week are
-videos on something happening to one of the major sources of Wokeness in videogames over the last ten years, a company named something like Sweet Baby Inc
-Lotus Eaters talking about increasing savagery in the west, a day or two before a very bad family homicide in Canada.
-Other stuff.
I'm starting this because I think there might be a need for a place for more relaxed discussion, knowing that the years of paradigm shifts you had to undertake as you learned more about the world doesn't need to be artificially tossed into people's minds like they're asking for the unlock code for a tablet or phone.
I'm not sure what to expect from this.

Alrighty, folks, it's that time again. Here is tonight's movie schedule:
Merrie Melodies: Old Glory
The Honeymooners: Opportunity Knocks, But...
Double Indemnity (1944)
It's been awhile since we've done an old-timey classic, and this is a good one. One of our regulars also gave me a list of movies he'd like to have shown, and if I can track some of them down, next week we will do one of those
Poni:
S9 eps 19 and 20
Gargle:
S2 eps 6 and 7
Presumably we'll be doing the usual preshow this week, movies will begin at the usual time. wasn't able to make it for Thinking Thursdays yesterday, but hopefully it went okay.
Not sure where Flappy is today or if the prestream is still happening, but it looks like the playlist from yesterday is still running if anyone wants to come in and hang out.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylIf there is no prestream, I will go ahead and start my portion of the stream roughly one hour from the time of this post, 6:00 PM PST, 9:00 PM EST.
Thinking ThursdayHi guys, the room is open, and so is the playlist. Feel free to add whatever news you want to discuss. The Sweet Inc. story seems to have developed a bit more.
I have some stuff I have to take care of, so the playlist is still last week's list, and I won't be there for a while. Maybe 30-45 minutes.

Stream Night Once Again!!
With a bit of the weirdness of the last week or two out of the way, we have a normal enough week this time!
I hope you all got some good sunshine and time outdoors this week!
Messing with the streaming settings hasn't been done yet, so it's another week of dub!Grimgar. These are important episodes, so we'll see if we want to re-watch them in Sub form later. Remember, these guys aren't the A-team, they're the leftovers of the group of people teleported over.

Hello all, here is tonight's movie schedule:
Looney Tunes: Wise Quacks
The Honeymooners: Unconventional Behavior
Robot and Frank (2012)
Was going to show Murder Party (requested), but the completely legal acquisition of this title hasn't finished yet. However this is a good movie that I've been wanting to show for some time now, I think everyone will enjoy it.
Hoerjhes:
S9 eps 21 and 22
Garhangaogamne:
S2 eps 8 and 9
>>371861>third picThe cutest pone I've seen in a long time.
Would you be interested in watching the football movie "Gus"?
>>371876https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gus_(1976_film)If this is the movie you're talking about then yes, this sounds absolutely delightful.
>>371880Whoops, forgot capcode. Also, I'm Lithuanian now.
Regarding tonight's Thinking Thursday, I have plans, so I won't be able to attend. I'll make sure the playlist is open so people can pop stuff in.
There have been some developments in the Sweet baby inc situation such that it's serving as another onboarding point for some of the head-in-the-sand types to start to notice that woke nonsense isn't just mysteriously happening.
Looks like I was in enough of a rush that I forgot to open the playlist. Oops.
I know what day it is, you know what day it is, let's get these biscuits buttered.
I wanted to make this night a bit of a variety hour. We have several comic dubs, PMVs, and another update on that non-commercial VR fan project. There's multiple ponies, pony behaviours, and the map is a nighttime equestria map. There's more of this sort of content than music.
Nigel and Marmalade are used as bumpers in the latter portion of the night, and we've got a total of about four and a half minutes of an animatic of a 40k fight scene.
In Grimgar, well... We finally made it past the major event, so now our group of leftovers have to deal with the fallout, just as they thought they were starting to get better. Take your time and get immersed, if you can.
I'll try to stream on a lower bit rate from a smaller window or something. I think I have an internet upgrade coming up soon, so the next time I stream this it should hopefully go smoother.
I've decided that the Pony Theme of the week is “Fantasy”, and have therefore picked images from the
Ponerpics Fantasy Community Collab 2024. Thanks to everyone who contributed to that.

Grimgar: Of Fantasy and AshEpisode 05 -
Crying Doesn't Mean You're Weak. Enduring Doesn't Mean You're StrongThe group is despondent after Manato's death and funeral. The boys decide that they cannot proceed without a priest in the party and, with Haruhiro acting as spokesman, recruit Mary.Episode 06 -
Her CircumstancesHaruhiro and Yume discuss Merry's coldness and convince the rest of the group to try to make Merry welcome, leading to internal disagreement.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that that's out of the way, the room is ready. Feel free to drop in.

Hello. I hope your eyes aren't still burning from the glorious eclipse event that happened this past Monday.
In respect to that, I'm making Luna
(and Celestia too, I guess) the Pony
/Ponies of the week.
Getting the other chunk of the playlist written up now. I'll get the room open and running in the meantime.
https://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactylhttps://cytu.be/r/FlappyPterodactyl
Two Fridays later, we're back to regular pre-stream programming. Many thanks to OccultFacade for taking over for the nights.
I hope you enjoyed your time during the eclipse. If you couldn't look at the sun directly, then I hope you enjoyed looking at the area around you outside to see the altered lighting.
On the playlist for the night, I popped in a few recent releases, some older songs from the Winter Rose chanel, and a short animation on it. I'll see about adding some Celestia/Luna content at the end.

Grimgar: Of Fantasy and AshEpisode 07 -
They Were Called Goblin SlayersHaving learned of Merry's past (and how similar it is to what they have experienced with Manato), Haruhiro and the group decide to continue befriending Mary, although some of them are still unsure if it's possible.Episode 08 -
In My Memories with YouAs the group continues to hunt goblins, they resolve to not let any more friends die. Having improved their skills, the party decides to hunt the group of goblins who killed Manato.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It'll take me a bit to pull the stream stuff up and do some other tinkering behind the scenes, but we're rolling right now, and we're basically good to go.

>>372648I can't believe I missed it. Hope you had fun!
>>372650Still it's streaming. Come over.
We are currently watching Lone Gunmen, the X Files spinoff series, we will likely be going for awhile. Feel free to drop in.
>>372652It was fun! Until next time...
>>372652It was cool how that first episode was about computers in cars being used to assassinate civilians who might be inconvenient to government or industry interests.
Just within the last couple of days, I saw a news story where something like this was mentioned as a possibility, and the ability of law enforcement to remotely drive any car that has a computer managing the engine in it was mentioned in the discussion.
Cars with a lane keep assist feature can steer themselves to a degree. Cruise control can force you into a certain speed.
