Possy spends the next hour or so nursing her wounds and reconstructing her body through her grisly ritual, trading flesh for flesh and blood for blood.
She draws her knife and butchers the bird with ghoulish efficiency, cutting out lumps of flesh and stuffing them into her ripcage to reabsorb into herself.
By the time she's done with the body, only bones remain, which she neatly sorts and cleans.
After this times, she shakily rises to her feet and shakes the blood off of herself like a dog. She gives a long sigh.
And then she turns her attention to the prize of her kill: the wishbone.
That was an awesome session, GM. I had a lot of fun.
I'll type out Posey's next course of action tomorrow. I had an idea for what to do with Alluring seeks ago. For now, I must slumber.
>>171739>>171741As the body becomes limp and lifeless, Posey feels some external force work upon her, like an invisible and sterilizing light that burns the skin and blinds the eyes. The ritual does not work as desired.
>>171742I was just paying homage to put friends who died here last week.

>>171722Towards downtown, simply enter directly onto the street, and turn left. The roads are paved in brick, and are wider than most of the older cities of Griffonia, built to accommodate carts and automobiles, even if they are not wider than the all too familiar streets of Katerinburg. Amber can see rail-lines installed in the roadway, and wires overhanging the central road but
not the road leading to the train station, implying a tramline planned but not (at least yet) implemented. The city is not terribly dense, populated mostly by single houses of white plastered three-storied jettied half-timber construction with slate-tile roofs. The close, four storied apartments with shops at the base do exist, but do not dominate until Amber is on the main road, and they lack the diverse colors of even Kronburg. At the end of the street is the central platz with its granite stones and the rathaus with its imposing brick structure and clock tower. It's not an ugly design, just a bit modern. Further to the right, and hanging over the city atop a hill, is the imposing and greatly older castle complex, containing within the Palace of the Grand Master. Nearer, and on the corner of the two converging streets, is a mostly completed Cathedral with white-marble facade, with red spires and dome. Past the Rathaus is a large, long structure with a few domes that is presumably a university.
Once Posey finishes healing up and stripping the flesh off of the bones, she nearly places them in her bag.
She examines Luminous's equipment as well.
She then searches her surroundings, in case the source of that evil aura was anything of note.
If she finds nothing else, she packs her saddle and heads back to the manor.
If the military asks her why she has an entire griffin skeleton in her bag, she shows them her medical license and tells them that hollow bone osteoporosis kills hundreds of pegasi every year, and that this skeleton is important in researching a cure.
>>171746He is indeed wearing chainmail armor. It's bright, and brass plated, though severely damaged in the fight. He has the letter Posey sent to Alluring, a glove that was taken off or not worn, a map of Baltimare, corrective glasses, a note book, a small pencil, a laundry ticket, and a small silver-foil covered icon of a shield with an Ursa Minor with a single bright star on it. This last item is particularly repulsive to Posey. Besides this, he has leather boots on his hind legs, a necklace with a representation of wind on it, and a brown, leather jacket. He carried no passport or identification (even Posey should know this will get you arrested immediately), no coins or money, and no weapons of any kind.
It's important to ask what exactly Posey looks like here, and how she intends to make her way back
>>171747Well, I had hoped that after putting some blood in her, and healing back to full HP with her charnel touch, she'd look like her normal self again, passable as mortal.
She's going to need a way to wash the blood off though.
She intends to go home on hoof.

>>171749In chain shirt with dastana, her AC is 20. 17 flat-footed.
>>171749>We'll do it your way.I already posted it. No take backs.
>>171746Looking around, Posey finds that the strongest source of dark magic was... the garbage chute. A simple trash chute. No magic, nothing. Another strong signature comes from the door opposite the one Posey came through. Not the door itself, but a pair of rooms to either side. To the left is a small dorm room with two bunk beds. It has a light signature. In the room on the right is a large, jail-like cage, and an open spot with a black stain on the ground, with remnants of gossamer. This area has a much stronger signature. Going back into the room that is across the threshold, there is a pair of cages, a bit of dried blood on the ground, and a light signature. There's a stone stairway that goes into water, evidently to a tunnel that leads to the ocean. Back in the big room, going back the way Posey came, through the hallway, there are signatures inside of the boiler-room. Light-to-moderate. Then nothing much interesting on this level. The first level is permeated with a light signature.
But the truth is, all of these signatures are created by suffering and death. They are not magical in origin.
If you wish for Posey to do something different, that's fine. Just say so.
Just an hour ago, Posey was taken to the edge of oblivion by a presumed retired Paladin who came to meet her with no weapons, no magical equipment, and no idea what he would be facing. And Posey feels great about it.
Why had he travelled with no weapons? No Papers? No money? Did he even have a plan if the military stopped him?
Posey steps outside of the building through the front entrance, to find the street somewhat dark, though illimunated by lamps and empty of traffic. A cool breeze passes through the buildings, though less in the lean of the structure of 33 Hoebuck. The moon, waning crescent, shines after a cloud passes. It's not completely quite - the sound of steam being released from a nearby refinery, of a crate at a dock, and then a steel door opening breaks the silence. But all of these are distant, and for the most part, an odd calm pervades.
There was something... contempable about that griffin's demeanor. How he looked so much like a prey animal. No. Like livestock, with an odd awareness of the pending slaughter. The way how he varied between fear and resignation. And the way he looked around the streets. How he looked at that warehouse! Posey can see it now - a big ugly building, with a few windows, now blocked by presumed freight. What was there to be afraid of? Did this bird not realize that there is nothing hiding in the dark? There was nothing there that wasn't there when the lights were on. And that odd relief he had when he entered 33 Hoebuck. Could he not feel the evil around him? How could he possibly have been so haunted by the feeling that tonight would be his last... yet so oblivious to Posey, and the type of predator she is.
And so Posey exits the building towards the streets, with the confidence of a predator. So well hidden amongst the grass, always unseen, and fearful of nothing. It's about time that Baltimare had a vampire. The first in ages.

She does not have any innate ability to detect Evil auras, or at least not any more than any regular undead creature might be sensitive to such forces.

Spectral Streak says
"Did you hear that drone's cry? 'Hail Ocellus'?"
The orange pony replies
"We got Chrysalis!"

But where lights do exist, Posey can see, just barely, the outlines of at least half a dozen figures that lay low in the lower portion of the window, mostly concealed from the street view. She can recognize on every one of them, the shapes of steel helmets, and in many instances, griffin beaks, the barrels of rifles, and in one instant, the big, curved magazine of a machine gun. A hoof waves up, as if directing someone unseen. There is definitely whispering, and the pattering of claws

>>171765Posey can attempt to try to run to one of the few, leafless trees scattered about the property, or back to a small, equally leafless bush. She can hope that she’s harder to see further away from the lights. But the bottom line is that there is no natural cover in front of 33 Hoebuck, and no obstacles between it. The building has only a small number of exits on the front side, and anypony observing need only watch these. Posey exited out of the middle, most obvious exit, which necessarily requires opening a door and making movement. And she made no attempt to conceal herself until

>>171770>And she made no attempt to conceal herself until after this point.Could she have been wearing her hood and cloak like she always does?
>>171776Yes. All it would do is conceal her face. While that’s extremely valuable, it won’t save her from bullets.
>>171775>>171776Posey, going outside, has found a predator lurking in the tall grass, waiting for an ambush. Waiting to ambush her. By attempting to hide after that, she has tipped off that she knows they are there, and that she considers them to be hostile. Now, they must necessarily spring their trap.
From the warehouse, Posey hears the yell of some feral creature that must be sone sort of pony:
”There’s that Elf sorceress! Kill it before it can escape!” And then a second voice, even more accented.
“Karabin maszynowy, strzelec, strzelaj!

Okay, at the top of her lungs, with her features still obscured, beneath her cloak, pops out one of her eyeballs with a hoof to the back of her head.
Ashes snatches it in mid air, and casts Darkness on it as she places it back in its socket. She achieves this using Versatile Spellcaster and two lvl 1 slots. One of her eyes is now the center of the Darkness spell, and she keeps that eye closed.
She takes out Luminous's Skull and places it over her own face, like a mask.
From the darkness, at the top of her lungs Posey let's out bloodcurdling shriek, as she opens her darkened eye.
"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"And then, she invokes the power of the Red Curse to use Gaseous Form, her body turning to red mist.
In essence, Posey is attempting to disguise herself as an apparition summoned by the cult of Maar that was unleashed by the Luminous's intrusion. Having Darkness on her eye enables her to flick Darkness on and off at will by blinking. Gaseous Form will enable her to fly and slip through tiny spaces, while also making her look a lot like a red ghost. This will also make her all but impervious to nonmagical attacks for the next six minutes.

Okay, first thing is first: path to escape.
Are there any cracks in the street, sewer pipes, or other openings that a gaseous creature could slip into?
>>171797So basically, the building Posey is in has a rather large, rather clear, front yard. The frontage is
not flush with the street, there is a parking lot and grass, and the street is maybe like 70 or so feet away. Then the street is two lanes with a sidewalk, and the warehouse is slightly back from the road as well, to a lesser degree. The second floor warehouse is thus something like 150 feet away. The area in between has basically no cover. It’s open ground.
