"Well, it's about Customs..." She's stopped from her explanation at the dock workers freaking out. She turns her head to try to see what they're pointing out but can't see anything. "Snake? Where?" In contrast to the reaction of the two fully grown stallions, the young mare seems not bothered in the slightest. In fact, she sounds a bit intrigued as to how a snake ended up in her crate. The two stallions may not however pick up on this, as two more things become far more immediately apparent as the mare begins to fully turn around in the crate to try to spot this snake.
First, as the two get a first good view at her back, they realize that not only does she not have bat wings or any wings to speak of, there isn't even any sign that she had wings in the first place. No nubs, no scars, nothing.
Second, and far, far more obvious, occurs immediately afterwards. A great commotion of activity within the crate begins to disturb large quantities of the bananas held within. Some fall out over the edge of the crate, others simple swirl around the mare. Her red mane is fairly short, and off to the side of her head a couple braids of hair hang down held together with beads. She lacks wings, which may tip onlookers off that something isn't right with her if they for some reason refuse to look below her waist. Below her waist, her fur transitions to scales that make up part of a large, long snake tail. It's hard to judge the full length of her tail just by eyeballing it, as it winds back and forth behind her, but it is easily anywhere from 15 to perhaps even 20 ft. in length,1.5 ft. wide around what must be the stomach portion of her body, and 1 ft. wide elsewhere. In the crate her scales appeared yellow, but it was just because of the bananas reflecting off of them: in reality -- now that she is no longer contained by the fruit -- they are an almost metallic gold color, with red diamond patterns with black outlines running down her back all the way to the end of her tail. Her underside is smooth, flat, looks to be very different from the scales on the sides and back of her tail, and appears to be either white or something very close to it.
Amidst the scattered bananas, several non-fruit items lie on the floor: a backpack and saddlebags that appear to contain several more items hidden within, a bedroll and tent, a set of what appears to be leather armor studded with metal scales, a long sharp spear, a bow of unusual foreign make, and two bags of arrows. Two have long rifles with long blades on the top, and the third has a rather angry-looking set of pipes.

They are medium sized, friend-shaped creatures that look quite a bit like lamias, but with hindquarters that are more equine in shape. All in all they are rather similar looking to zebras, but more vibrantly colored.

All in all they are rather similar looking to zebras, but more vibrantly colored.

The bone naga is an excellent creature because it's one of those few undead that's bound to the creature that creates them, so you don't need to independently control it.

Going inside, Kira sees an area that is perhaps best likened to a police station. There are several desks with seats in front of them, cabinets with paperwork, rooms off to the side with single seats in them, and then through an open door, what look like jail cells.
In the far side of the room, two Ponies are dealing with what appears to be a doe in a blue dress. The deer is smaller than the pony stallions Kira has seen, although just a little smaller than the ponies near her. She has white spots in a line across brown fur, a short brown mane, those more or less rectangular shaped ears and from her body just looks... delictible. Kira avoids invasive thoughts of eating the ponies around her, despite them being the size of her regular prey, but the deer... is a bit different...
"That is my name!" The deer yells at a pony in a foreign accent.
Next to her is a white unicorn mare in a blue outfit and a black unicorn stallion in green, and looking at their expressions, Kira may suddenly feel like she's not being treated so bad by the ponies.

"Then why has Lushi not found any records of you ever living there?"
The white Unicorn says
"Then why did you give us a different name until we found your expired work visa?"
The Deer angrily replies, moving closer
"Because the paperwork was lost in the war, and because I go by different names, and the pony who sat at that desk before made me use my old name." She says with venom.
Kira can see that the bat pony was directing Kira to a seat near a desk, but when the argument heats up, the bat pony has to peal away to deal with that, as does Free Rover. Kira is left with the pegasus pony, who takes Kira into a room. The room looks unpleasant, with a microphone a desk, two chairs on either side, and a chair in the corner. It looks like an interrogation room.
"Let me get the papers" the Pony says, leaving her in the room. The room does have a door and some sound insulation. She is left alone for a minute, if only a minute.

"Alright." She says "Time for a quick exam to make sure you aren't carrying some sort of horrible disease that could harm our livestock population."
She checks Kira's ears, her eyes, under her mane, and of course,
"Now, open your mouth..."
And looks into her mouth.
"So, how long has it been since your been in contact with a farm? Either for plants or livestock?"
She looks up and down Kira's scales, evidently looking for external parasites.
"Now let me just"
She presses down against Kira's body itself on her stomach and lower in her body (her womb), trying to feel if there is anything there.
"So, have you eaten anything recently? Like sheep, or goats, or... whatever wildlife they have there.
She smiles very widely, showing off her rather nice, white teeth "Any... zebras? We need to know to make sure you're not carrying over any parasites or diseases by accident."
[Read more] "Holy..." The pony pulls back his head, and his right leg up in the air, clearly very surprised by the bow, and especially, by all of the gold.
"Okay... lots of gold... Better write that down..."
After a couple minutes, he stands up and says
"Okay, we can't just take your word on illness and infection. You have to be examined. I think there's a vet here."
He goes outside and

Kira really hopes the deer will be okay. She's pretty worried now.
Her first reaction upon seeing the vet is pretty predictable: a gasp, followed by the excited exclamation "A pink pony!"
She complies with the vet's requests and examinations. Examination of her mouth reveals that she appears to have a sort of 'false jaw' that allows her to either look and talk like a normal pony or allow her to fully open her mouth to swallow prey, but she doesn't get a demonstration of what it looks like fully open at the moment.
She finds no sign of parasites in or on her scales. In fact, they are absolutely pristine for having been in a crate full of bananas for a period of time. She answers that the last time she had contact with a farm was in Macawia prior to boarding the boat, when she managed to negotiate with a farmer to purchase a pair of goats. She does not explain what happened to the goats, but it isn't too hard to guess.
She blushes in surprise as the vet begins her examination of her stomach and womb, but remains still and doesn't fidget. The pink pony finds nothing of note in her examination of Kira's body to make her believe she is either pregnant or has something in her stomach.
As she asks about what she has eaten, that's when the goats are mentioned again: "Well, there were the goats before the trip...then during the trip I had to rely on some dried meat rations. Not ideal, but it staved off hunger. When I ran out of them I had to rely on the bananas, but it isn't good for a lamia to eat only fruit for an extended period of time like that." Her stomach growls to cap off her sentence.
She looks a bit mortified as she is asked the question about eating zebras or equines. "No nonononono! I haven't eaten a zebra or any sapient creature ever, honestly. I'm not like that."
With the final request, Kira opens her mouth, fully. It's honestly a bit disturbing, how her face contorts as the 'true jaw' opens up to reveal a cavernous but smooth maw that leads down directly to her throat. She can also see her tongue looks a bit like a hybrid between that of a pony's and a snake's, like a long thin pony tongue but with a split down the middle like a snake's. As for the fangs, in addition to having a 'false jaw', Kira seems to have 'false fangs': when her mouth was closed, they looked like bat pony fangs, but now with her mouth fully opened they appear to be longer and intended to hold prey in place as she swallows them whole.

She's methodical and thorough, and shines a light into Kira's throat and looks carefully.
When Kira's stomach growls, her ears go down, and she takes a step back. But she looks fascinated examining Kira's mouth. She uses the edge of a forcep to try to extend Kira's fangs out, and Kira probably gets the impression that she was attempting to draw venom if any existed.
She smiles to Kira.
"Well, there you are. Healthy as a horse-snake and ready for release."
Kira may have a small amount of time with the pink vet pony if so desired
She goes over to to the door and opens it and...
Black stallion: "There are no documents ever placing you in Lushi[/b]"
Deer: "Because my clan aren't citizens! They are Itinerate residents!"
Bat Pony: "We called the governor in Talvona. There are no Sangee tenants in that area!"
The deer moves forward: "Are you dense! I just said we are itenerate! They likely moved! Especially after you ponies invaded!"

"Kira passed! No diseases or anything!" and rapidly leaves the room
Cauy taps Free Rover's shoulder, who looks like he's about to physically tackle the deer. "Come on!" he says. Cauy grabs some paper, and he, Rover, and Kira all go back to the original room.
The door is closed shut, and rover whinnies angrily and flips his tail. He sits down next to Cauy, who takes the lead
"Okay, so, as a magical monster, you are going to need an owner. Someone who is responsible for any trouble you could cause and basically keeps you out of it."

It could eat foals. And even if it didn't or couldn't, a large snake could strange a pony. Or break their ribs or legs. And then of course a large monster could eat other pony's pets, or livestock. Now, in all of these cases the solution is pretty simple: kill the monster. But that's not good enough, because there is also the question of financial compensation. And then there is all sorts of trouble a monster could cause that doesn't really warrant killing it. Like for example, if it causes a car accident by crossing the street. Someone needs to be able to pay money for that. Uh, do you understand?"
