>>162442... Amber's pretty conspicuous in a blood soaked cook's outfit. To say the least
>>162443Hmm, perhaps it's best to take off the outfit, then. Though clothing seems to be more common for griffons than for ponies.
>>162444It's colder where Amber is now, if that means anything.
Taking the clothes off will make the wound directly visible.
>>162445Amber did not really think this through, did she?
Is there a coat or jacket conveniently lying around nearby to wear over the shirt?
(You) are all cute ponies
>>162376Iron's neutral, almost cold and emotionless look fixated on the rope, extending his neck and mouth out to grasp it in order to reach one step closer to actually retrieving such heavy yet valuable materials stored within their firmly stuck containers.
Even as White waddled through the earthly, sticky mud, the earth stallion couldn't help but wonder if bringing her along was really a good idea in terms of her feelings. A part of him felt as if he led her to a suffering session with everything that has happened so far, despite knowing she desperately needed the money for her family back home. All the native hoped was she'll get what she desired.
>>162458It's abundantly clear that she wants the flasks removed now.
Iron's next challenge becomes how to remove and then carry the flasks.
>>162446Roll Die>>162437>>162457Silver awakes. He is lying on his back, not immediately embracing Jubilosa. The bed is a bit softer, it feels like, and the covers are thinner and full of frills. Looking out the window, past the wooden beams of the porch, Silver sees the light blue sky stained orange by the rising sun. There are a few clouds, but mostly it is clear.
>>162460Silver brings up a hoof to wipe away the sleep from his eyes, blinks, and sits up in his bed. He feels the odd bed covers.
>>162459Iron figured tying the rope around the flasks and promptly pulling them out would be a solid enough idea: There would be far more leverage outside of the mud, meaning it'd be far easier to pull from there.
With that in mind, he'd carefully try to find a good spot to start his first step of his plan.
>>162461A bit less soft on the top than underneath. Thinner layering. There's some sort of... is that a shield? Zerbican style shield on the right hand corner of the eye. And the walls are a shade of blue. But it's definitely the master bedroom of the beach house.
>>162462There is a piece of wooden debris sticking out of the mud maybe 20 feet or so from the cart. It isn't very high, and it is far away. But it is positioned in the right area so as to provide good leverage, should Iron try to pull the flasks out.
>>162463That's...odd. Did Khoi wake up early and start redecorating? Silver blinks a couple more times in confusion before getting up and leaving via the bedroom door.
>>162464Before Silver even leaves the room, he notices two, or perhaps more important details. One is shelves of items that appear to include vases, ceramic constructs like bowls and an amphora, a wooden totem, a few small statues of thinks like a black dog, and a few paintings in the impressionistic style. There is also a new dresser, with photographs on top. There is a television set on the left, near the door, which has a wider screen, black plastic, and a more "efficient" construction than the one downstairs, although it's about the same size. And finally, though importantly, is what - or who - is in bed next to Silver. Mostly under the covers is an equine, evidently, with a long strawberry mane than comes down over the covers, and lemon yellow fur, with a muzzle that sticks out that is narrow relative to the face, and though not particularly long, looks ever so subtly fox-like.
>>162463Presuming that tying this debris would bring the cart's remains as well as the flasks stored within, Iron does so and ensures it's properly placed.
>>162465The sight of the items around him makes him pause before he leaves. This is a very well-decorated room, and a TV in the
bedroom? It's quite opulent, but...this isn't what he remembered his room looking like. Where is he? Who is this mystery pony? Perhaps looking at the photographs on top of the dresser will give him an idea.
>>162466Is Iron trying to move the cart, or the flasks?
>>162468If one leads to the other, he's willing to go for the cart. Otherwise, just go for tying the flasks with the rope
>>162467In the photos, Silver sees....
Well it's not certain what he's looking at. He's never seen these scenes before. Never. And yet he thinks he recognizes some of the ponies in them. One is a wedding with a pegasus of light grey coat and darker grey mane, with some different color streaking in his mane, to a pegasus mare who is... green? Everything is grey in these photos. Silver has never seen the mare, but the stallion appears to be Spectral Streak. In another photo are two ponies, a unicorn and an earth pony. The earth pony is larger and is wearing a... light green? uniform that appears to be some kind of military dress uniform, albeit not one that he is familiar with. The smaller unicorn stallion standing next to him is wearing the hat and robes of a graduate. Both are smiling widely, and hugging each other. These stallions certainly resemble Mint Marine and White Orchid, although much like Spectral Streak, they appear much older. In another set of about three photographs is a what appears to be Silver and a mare that Silver recognizes as Pear Faucet, all dressed up in tuxedo and wedding gown. In another photograph is Silver and the same Pear Faucet standing together, the latter having a wide smile, in front of a set of desert mountains with a beach and a straw hut in the foreground, and the aluminum glimmer of a plane wing in the background. The location is entirely unknown. And in another photograph is Silver, Pear Faucet, and one, two, three small foals he's never seen before. Hard to tell the exact coat and mane colors in the black and white.
>>162469Unless there is something under the mud, the cart and the flasks do not appear to be connected together. This is because the cart is upside down, and the flasks are underneath it. Moving the cart probably won't move the flasks, but it might make getting to them easier.
>>162470In that case, Iron figures it'd be best to simply tie it to the flasks and simply nudging them out of the wreckage from here in case the contents might break from crashing at the wood.
>>162470Silver is quite the confused pony. He recognizes none of these pictures, and the ponies in them look older than he knows them to be. And in these ones it looks like he's married to Pear. What is this? Is this...is thisthe future?
He looks back at the strange pony he was sleeping with, examining them and wondering who they are.
>>162472The pony is a mare, and appears to be, from his best recollections, Pear Faucet. And yet she doesn't look quite like her. She seems to be older.
>>162471The flasks are made out of cast iron. They have also been sitting in water for a century now.
Is he tying the rope to a flask?
>>162474And so Iron ties one of the flasks
>>162475While he's at it, Iron ties the other flask as well before tentatively attempting to get out of the annoying mud and out onto solid land in order to pull the contents out.
>>162477I figured there were two flasks to recover, but if there isn't, it's my mistake.
>>162478There are at least two flasks, perhaps more not visible.
>>162481There does not seem to be one lying about in the train station.
>>162480Blue Skies slowly walks back to the bed
>>162473Pear Faucet...no wonder he doesn't recognize her. He really must be in the future! But, how far? And how is he still alive, if she is that much older? He looks outside through the window to see how things are different.
>>162479If Cauldron didn't specify the amount of flasks, then Iron might as well tie the rope to the cart wreckage instead to see if they're missing anything else that could be worth something.
>>162482He walks over and sits down on the bed.
>>162485She lays down on the bed, and glances to Dark Star from the side before looking back.
>>162484It is so.
>>162483The deck seems a little different, with the plank that extends out being removed and instead there is a straight railing. Down by the bay, is a small pier with a white painted motor boat, with it's curved fore, open top and windshield. There is a "boat house" around it, although it is nothing more than a triangular roof supported by four posts. In the bay are several yachts, two freighters, and what appears to be some kind of small patrol boat, although much further in the distance. Across the bay, the smoke stacks of the power station are gone, though the station remains. More of the swamp and forest has been cleared for what looks like single family housing. Over in the city, it looks like there are a few more taller buildings in the city center. The eastside, by the harbor is hard to see at this angle because of buildings not being especially tall, but it appears that many of the old tenements are gone and replaced either with newer, taller apartment buildings, or factories.
>>162486With that done, Iron would promptly exit the mud and take the rope back on solid ground to start pulling at it, at first testing if it would move at all.
>>162487It needs to be pulleyed around the piece of debris. If the cart is going to move, it clearly needs much force.
>>162488Exhaling softly, Iron decides that he's enough force to at least move by an inch, causing him to pull harder.
>>162489It... seems to move a millimeter, maybe? The cart is definitely stuck in the mud.
>>162490Encouraged, Iron continues trying to pull it out of the mud towards him, wondering if White and Black picked up on his course of action to either help or advise against.
>>162491White Sabds moves closer to the cart, evidently trying to guide the rope. The small unicorn is at least light, and less likely to get stuck in the mud.
Roll strength>>162492She is, and remains, very blue. She lays on her belly, and lays down on the bed.
>>162493Let's see if I remember how to do this...
[1d20+5 = (4+5) = 9]<Strength
>>162486Wow...it looks like Baltimare has grown substantially. And he really
did get a boat. A nice looking one at that. Silver turns around and sits back down on the bed, looking at what is apparently his Pear's sleeping form.
>>162494The cart moves a little, the rope becomes very tight, and the wooden post bends. But it fails to move, at least by much.
Cauldron:
"Careful! You could break the post."
White Sands:
"No. Keep going! It needs more strength!"
>>162496And Dark Star is laying next to the blue pony
>>162495Most of her is covered by the bed covers. Her mane is long and is not particularly combed or neat, but simply spills out onto the bed, with some of it under the covers. She makes almost no noise, though there is a small sound made when Silver sits on the bed. Silver can see the covers rising and falling ever so slightly.
>>162497Iron exhales softly to slightly recuperate from the exertion before trying to pull again, harder this time. Worst case scenario, he'd had to go back into the mud to attach the rope to another part of the cart.
>>162497She looks so peaceful. There is so much he wants to ask her, but he doesn't want to wake her from this state. He leans over, and kisses her on the forehead instead.
>>162499Strength or a normal d20?
>>162501Strength
>>162500Silver leans in, kisses her.... and her eyes open.
