There is a doorway going further in, and a narrow wooden staircase going up. However, it is the next room over that has a bed, a sink, cabinets, windows and restraints allowing it to be useful for medical procedures on smaller animals and griffins. This is where he takes Federklied.

Two ponies approach the vehicle that was hit and then shot at, where blood and shattered glass is all that can be made out from Silver's position with the police car between them. Silver can see that the shotgun wielding police officer from the first vehicle has scurried past the downed the home guard, turned the corner, and is rapidly converging on the location of the machine carbine-wielding officer, who stands in the entry threshold of the grocery store. Moving the body is inconvenient to say the least, and the door on the car does not fully close. Nevertheless, the car, needing to be moved from its position locked into the other car, moves a little to the left and across the street. A voice replies. The accent is strong
"Buggers are comin' out like a light shined on cockroaches. We got 'em spooked. Anyone need any help?"
Reply, strange accent:
"We have attempted sabotage at the Six Sister's Oil refinery, uh, the Celestial Oil plant. Trying to cause a backup."
In a Mareland accent,
"Couple got by at WMARE Television station, eastside. Trying to sabotage communications."
