Austrian Lipizzaners are the Aryans of hoers. They are descended from white Arabians though.
A very precariously-bred breed with quite a great deal of cultural history in Europe. The Austrians keep studbooks of the breeds ancestors, going back to the early 1700's (due largely to many of the older records being lost during their wartime evacuations in 1809). They're known for their use in showmanship and classical dressage, the styles of which originally developed to train the hoers for cavalry maneuvers in The Spanish Riding School.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipizzan#Training_and_usesFeral Icelandic hoers look a lot like the show ponies.
Przewalskis look nothing like show ponies, but I adore them.
The Pzewalski is the last existing breed of non-domesticated wild hoers. While not the direct ancestor of domestic hoers, it is said to be related to the extinct breed from which all domestic hoers descended.
The species breed is greatly endangered, and all living hoers of the breed are descended from 9 of the 13 animals captured in 1945. The breed has been reintroduced to their natural habitat in Mongolia, and they were also introduced to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in 1998 where they have been increasing their population ever since (basically Pony Fallout irl).
Any horses with flatter faces? Could someone breed a pug horse?
Can someone please help vote my old hoers thread into the featured archive?
>>1786I think if Aryanne had a real world horse species, she would probably be this one.
>>1791I will, can you offer a link?
>>1795You have to vote from the archive page...
The title is "hoers".
All of their snouts are too long and this one
>>1787 is too fuzzy
This mini-horse looks kind of like a fluffy.
>>2019These things are cute, but annoying as hell to take care of...
>>2038Well, I haven't had the chance to work with them that much, but they're a lot messier, dependent, and fragile than you'd expect.
I guess I'm just used to regular hoers though.
>>2040>they're a lot messier, dependent, and fragile than you'd expect.Oh god they sound like fluffies. How bad are the ones that are about the same size as the ponez from FIM?
>>2043Idk. I've only worked with them for like two days (just a couple hours) before deciding I'd rather just go full-sized.
They don't talk though. They mostly just need attention.
>>2126Are horses usually noisy?
>>2129No, but fictional fluffies are.
When I said "annoying", I meant they needed extra care, not that they were bothersome in any way.
pic unrelated
>>2130You also said they were fragile and messy. Annoying, fragile, and messy are the first three things that come to mind when I think of fluffies.
APPALOOSAS!!!
Spotted hoers everywhere!
>>2040>they're a lot messier, dependent, and fragile than you'd expect.Yep, thats fluffies for you
GENETIC SCIENTESTS! MAKE IT HAPPEN!
>>3219There are some lines that we just shouldn't cross
>>3222Return those trips, you cowering faggot!
>>2921I can't get enough of those spots.
