I could be wrong, but afaik this type of technology is yet to exist in any meaningful artistic or journalistic form, much less be used to write stories out of thin air like the one linked by OP. Bots tend to still have a pretty noticeable influence on whatever they synthesize, it's like detecting compression in a music file. Once you notice it, it's hard to miss.
