>Medkit is quite useful now.Sorry, I thought when I was at the Trixie fight it wasn't showing up. Turns out that if you bring Diamond Tiara to Ponyville it's used on her, but there's no player alert like "Medkit was removed." I like the moral dilemma it presents ("do you want to save DT and potentially get the best ending, but at the cost of the Trixie fight being nigh-unwinnable?") but items should never just vanish from the inventory or it's just confusing.
>Please specify which one do you mean. The opening animation, the one which shows how Snips and Snails got "infected" in the first place, and the showdown between Trixie and Twilight. I can understand not showing them in subsequent playthroughs to save the player time (the next problem is much worse than that), but I like seeing the full store multiple times.
The lack of savestates, even for a very short game, is quite crippling. Don't get me wrong, I like the challenge of trying again, but Trixie is such a difficult boss (except in the bad ending) that I've spent the last six hours trying to get past her. Rather than face her directly every time I die I have to play the entire game again, get past Snails (not an easy fight in its own right, as it's dependent on luck and whether I have any hay left over from Snips), and collect a hundred apples every time. You don't need to be able to save anywhere, just at the Apple Farm would be convenient enough.
This is assuming Trixie is the final boss; I had a sneak peak at the audio files and there looks to be a lot more content. Difficulty is one thing; repeating the exact same thing is another. Maybe I'm just a casual but spamming Violin while at low health doesn't seem to work. So much of the game is based on chance and there's no real way to counter being set on fire, being ripped apart, and being set on fire again. I'm going to have to try again later.
Another suggestion: mutant Octavia has the same "status" description as her pure form. I checked to see if there was any change after the different stages of the "disease" and unfortunately not, even though she's not her old self.
When I finish the game I'm curious to delve into the game files to look at the stats for each enemy, move, etc. How would it be possible to do that?
>I don't own a legal copy of rpg maker vx ace either so anyone is free to modify/distribute the source material.Hmmm, I wonder how feasible it would be to get it onto a gaming site. It's not Flash so having it run in a browser might be difficult.
