/sun/ - Celestia/cult of the sun
Sounds good.
Do we all get the game, make our OCs, and then the funniest ones get submitted into the teams?
I know this means the cup will be farthr away from now. but I think we should do it at the opposite time of year as the /pol/eague so we get to so /mlpol/ stuff twice a year, rather than only annually in the /pol/eague. So like December-January.
/broncos/- John Elway
Praise Football Praise John Elway
How about /Jew/ a team full of really incompetent Jews that only exist to be kicked as they never appear in sports and are terrible at them?
Kind of like a team that's there just for lulz.
>>280137I'm down with seeing an Aryanne team
>>280145Sounds good. In most WWE games with character creation you can intentionally reduce a character's stats to the lowest level possible for each stat.
>>280137something sci-fi for /cyb/
and something buff/fit for /ub/ would be great
>>280136>Overall I'd like to see the interest in this.More than interest it's about available time and schedule.
The idea is good, the feasibility is in doubt.
>>280145If their is going to be a /jew/ team I think the team should include griffins like Gildor Silvertalon
>>280164truth is, most of the effort is already there
streaming: literally anyone can do do any time
Aesthetics: this is the real bottle-neck. there are not many aesthetics fags to make the models, but if it's 8 teams, it can be done.
managers: although people that manage usually also make teams. any anon can just ask to manage a team in this cup without prior experience. So if you have the almighty +2 double gegen strats, you're welcome to yell at the streamer to do that.
interest really is the bigger concern, because no one want's to make a cup and only 10 people show up to watch it.
With an 8 team participation, would there be a group stage? It seems like a 3-4 round, 2 group stage, top 2 teams from each group advance to a semi, 3rd place, and then 1st/2nd? It could probably be done in a weekend.
Like say, friday apr 2nd through Sunday day apr 4th?
Like an mlpol anniversary event maybe? Also
>jew team

Here's an roster idea for /broncos/

RMF- Rainbow Dash
CMF- >Oakland Raiders
CMF- No Touhou Allowed
CB- Clopped

GK- Football Shall not be Infringed
What do you anons think?
>>280168>no one want's to make a cup and only 10 people show up to watch it.This is what I was referring to.
>>280164>>280168Logistics are not an issue on our end. I with few exceptions make all the aesthetics for the /pol/eague, we already have poner models and honestly it would not be hard to make the remaining models for the new teams if its just slight modifications. Wand has streamed the FAGs (/mlp/'s invitational) before and a few others have mentioned that they have and can. We have Wand and myself, plus our testers if they wish to manage (I'll likely ask that they do so that they get experience). This means that outside of a few more managers steeping up (or at the very least throwing up an autopilot and team list) logistically we're looking good on everything but a time to stream, which I don't think will be a huge issue.
Long story short what I want is just to make certain I'm not putting in more effort organizing something then we will be getting out of as far as total anons entertained. If only 10-20 people show up that'd be a loss. 30+ is when I feel like I'd start breaking even. I think we have that man anons watching the main /pol/eague from here, but like how /mlp/ has hundreds of anons watching the main cup, they only have 40-80 watching the FAGs, so I don't want to end in that spot.
>>280140Noted though given /pol/ is in autumn it very well may be that the /pol/eague will happen in winter.
>>280138Sorta, more like some of you get the game and come up with team ideas based on board related shit and we the organizers then make you the models and hand hold you through the rules. To those who do end up doing this will get more say in what the team looks like, but overall if it is going to be our OC as in the boards that is fine, but if its "our" OC as in yours I don't think that'll fly unless its regonizably /mlpol/ (EX: Aryanne, Leslie, Fireaxe, or one of the /mlpol/ poners from teh art threads we used to have.)
>>280170The idea is to have it be similar to /pol/eague 1, 8 teams two groups, maybe all in one week maybe across 2, but we will look at those logistics later on. This is still a bit too up in the air to put it on a calendar as of now.
>>280171Football/10 would football
>jew team
>Ew no
Come on it would be pretty funny to see Mr Goldshekelburgstein getting his ass kicked by Aryanne.
Would it not?
>>280136I like the idea.
Obligatory horse pussy thread team?
>>280185Considering the amount of time that wouod go into aesthetics, I'd prefer to avoid any Harlem Globestrotters-esque matches, but I could be in the minority
>>280188the jew team would only need the stock "jew nose" model and the griffins already have a griffin model courtesy of /mlpol/. wouldn't need too much work outside of a few new models. at least I would think
>>280187ok idea. as long as it's kept sfw.
>>280193>sfw horsepussy>>280191>let's astroturf one of the teams!Yes, cuz nothing incites participation more than rigging thenteams cuz reasons
>>280194Why are you so opposed to this idea?
Are you part Jew? >>280195It would probably be more fun watching teams we all care about doing their best. The sandbagged jew team just seems like alot of excess work?
In other teams they all fit in with /MLPOL/ so the teams have backup reserve players for fun.
>>280196Maybe we should focus on the main teams first then try implementing other miscellaneous teams, i think that would be best
The thought of having a jew team still seems pretty funny though. we will eventually set up a poll to determine which teams will become official. I think it's a fun idea, but when the time comes, we will let democracy decide.
>>280203One step at a time, first we need to wait for the ID ticker to go to 30. Then I'll announce how teams will be decided. It may be democratic, it may not benift to democracy is we get teams that the majority of anons want to see, the issue is if we have managers who want to run certain teams but not others then we'll have issues finding the manpower on that front. I think I'll go with an inbetwen option, but we'll talk about that after its clear whether this thing will pan out or not. So till then keep suggesting teams and rosters, even if they're weird, silly,
or fucking stupid :^) so far we...
definitely have
/ary/ - Aryane
/fil/ - filly
/bron/ - Denver broncos
could have
/jew/ contraversial
/ub/
/cyb/
/pus/ - horse pussy
>>280222I did know what mixed nuts are. care to explain?
>>280224well now I know.
/vx/ is now on the list (for maybe).
>>280227the difference lies in enthusiasm. like plus said in
>>280204 if a team has managers or manpower for the team, they get preference. But it is still a semi democratic process so yeah it's still an option. it's just that some teams like /ary/ are more likely than others to get in.
I have difficulty believing that there is this level of disinterest in the idea
>>280136Could be fun with some /mlpol/ themed divegrass.
A bit of football a day keeps the gloom away. Also becoming more football is always a good thing.
I propose team /zigger/ to give us someone to rally against
>>280938I hate ziggers and that sounds like a wonderful idea.
Make the ziggers super ugly!
>>280938>>280943The thought of a bunch of Jews playing against a bunch of violent ziggers that always foul is pretty funny.
Mr Goldstein had his shekel grabber (hand) broken by banana bro.
>>280938This
>>280943Well yes they should just look like ziggers. But I'd say they should have griffin managers
>>280184If nothing else it can be a training grounds sort of thing, even if only 10-20 people show up. I don't know shit about cup stuff, or at least not even close to as much as you, but I'm guessing live managing is a hell of a different beast from regular old testing. Get that experience in for your testers and Wand, test your /biz/ and /mlpol/ tactics against autopilots. If nothing else, the experience and testing alone should be worth something, right?
Also if you're worried about audience numbers, all you need is a week without cup matches, and bored anons lurking about the livestream will show up. Hell, if you give Sita a team to play around with and somehow convince him to manage, regular old /mlp/ anons will show up just to see him get destroyed or somehow win.
Unfortunately according to the Comfy schedule, the only open spot without actual cup stuff is October 17. The /tv/ league and Multinats take up a lot of slots.
>>280954Two months isnt a long enough time to plan and prepare, what with aesthetics and all. Better to aim for an anniversary weekend sorta shindig imo
as a general 4cc reminder. the Babbies start Oct 9 and end Nov 7.
having 4cc and the height of the elections happen at the same time is going to be epic.
>>282667As a general reminder, Oct is a bad idea because we're already 1/2 way through Sept and we dont have enough UIDs in thread for mlpol 4cc staff to even consider the proposal.
Getting a consensus, and then getting however many teams set up before the end of Oct isnt gonna happen
>>282671we don't have to do the cup in an open time slot. just find a boring time slot. like the BCJ league happens on dec 5, and there isn't a wiki page on what the BCJ league even is, so it doesn't matter. we can pick almost any month we want.
minus official 4cc months ofc >>282678How about Friday, April 2nd then? Not only is it open, but it's also the day after our anniversary
>>282681>have the /mlpol/eague near April 1st a briliant idea in theory, but I think it's too close to the real /pol/eague. we should still ideally do it oct-feb I can't decide, here's a poll. on when to do it.
https://www.strawpoll.me/20947651/rwinner after 10 votes or 1 day, whichever is first, wins.
I should have done the first question earlier, but now seems like a good time. I'm making a proper poll for this cup.
1. I will watch the cup and when
https://www.strawpoll.me/20947769/r 2. which teams will play? (pick 8 of 15) I added the 6 last ones myself, because we only had 9 suggestions in the thread.
so far https://fast-poll.com/poll/ee22e0fbhttps://fast-poll.com/poll/results/ee22e0fbif are really going to do the cup in April, we are probably going to redo the team poll, but with team suggestions plateauing, now seems like a good time to poll teams.
>>282698fuck! I forgot them again, making a better poll...
>>282698>>282694Primary vx poster here. I hope we get a spot.
btw, while ya'll are still here do you have any Ideas on what teams to add? there are still 3 slots I am not satisfied with, of a maximum of 15 teams. this poll website only allows 15.
i'm unsatisfied with
/a1/ - april 1st 2017
/ep/ - equestrian politics
/eg/ - equestria games (sports)
/mlit/ - /mlpolit/ although someone already voted for them, so they are most likely staying
all of those are my ideas. everything else is either from the thread or I am happy with. the thing is there are a maximum of 15 options in the polling website, and want to use them all.
Hell yeah, I'd be up for watching this. I hope /vx/ gets a team.
I'm going to wait a few more hours before posting the poll.
but really any Ideas that are better than /a1/, /ep/, or /eg/ are welcome
>>282714/poner/ - political origin's neighborly equestrian ranch
Not really sure about the exact words but it'll do for now I suppose.
There's ones aren't really all that good, but it'll be out there for some others to have inspiration or something.
/ffg/ friendship football game
/lp2f2/ little pony's political football fun
Sorry I didn't see the thread earlier.

/xagg/
I don't know.
Imo, the only board that should have more than 1 team is /mlpol/ and having said, the only board that has any enthusiasm for this so far is /vx/, so it's safe to assume they would have a spot.
For consideration are /a/, /go/, /cyb/, /1ntr/, /qa/, /sp/, /ub/, and the one we dont speak of ever.
An Aryanne (essentially a nazi and related OC team) team makes sense, as would a filly team (plenty of variant fillies to include). An /sg/ team would be apropos, and a team consisting of common/main threads might make sense. In all reality the Broncos should be the /sp/ team, as opposed to separate.
So that covers /sp/ and /vx/. /ub/ would be easy to do, and /qa/ seems unnecessary. /1ntr/ is doable, as is /a/. That leaves /go/ and /cyb/, which I could see perhaps merging, or having as solo teams.
So carrying that:
/mlpol/ - 4
/sp/ Broncos - 1
/vx/ - 1
/ub/ - 1
/1ntr/ - 1
In order for /a/, /cyb/, and /go/ to then participate, then refinement needs to happen. /go/ could feasibly be part of the /mlpol/ board team, and /1ntr/ might pair well with /a/. As for cyb, it would need to be voted on whether to mess with the mlpol teams to allow cyb, or perhaps put cyb with ub?
Yeah, I did that wrong. Oh well, my point stands for the most part
>>282759One of the teams should just outright be “the Denver Broncos”
new and improved poll
1. I will watch the cup and when
https://www.strawpoll.me/20947769/r 2. which teams will play?
https://fast-poll.com/poll/eeb6a120https://fast-poll.com/poll/results/eeb6a120/eg/ = /sp/ I'll leave the final name up to them. But it definitely can't just be /sp/, because there is already an official /sp/ in the wiki for the cup.
>>282782The stream must be watched when is played. That's the reason of to participate, to stay cheering with everyponer together. After the stream is not fun.
>>282782No /sg/? No straight /mlpol/ team?
>>282785you could have said /sg/ 30min ago!
>>282786a straight /mlpol/ team makes no sense, /mlpol/ playing other aspects of /mlpol/ and what if it wins the cup, it's also supposed to be the final boss, but I'll add it anyway.
>>282787I just read the tl;dr and stopped reading there. I'll add them
>>282784the "I will watch" is primarily to gauge viewership
before I make a 3rd poll like an idiot here's a list, does it sound good?
/ary/ - aryanne
/fil/ - anon filly
/bron/ - Denver Broncos
/jew/ - jewish team
/zig/ - zigger
/ub/ - self improvment
/vx/ - mixed nuts
/1ntr/ - internets
/pus/ - horse pussy
/qt/ - cute ponies
/pop/ - ponerpics
/mlr9k/
/mlit/ - /mlpolit/
/mlpol/
/sg/
-
/eg/ - equestria games aka /sp/ sports
/cyb/
revoved due to low enthusiasim and ran out of slots (15)
>>282788>doesnt make senseThat's how I feel about qt, horsepussy, and ponerpics tbh. Most of the non-board teams that have been suggested are more appropriately players on an mlpol team
>>282791For clarification: yes, the mlpol 4cc team would be the final boss, but there are plenty of memes and themes for each individual board - mlpol included - that are not expressed/emphasized by the existing 4cc team. The purpose of the straight mlpol team is to allow those memes and themes to get expressed in competition (literal) with the memes and themes of the other boards or major threads
>>282789Looks like a good list to me
>>282840Just going to say whatever happens and whoever does play it'll be hype.
Where would Leslie be? Would there be a team for non-National-Socialist /mlpol/ OCs, or maybe a capitalist/libertarian team? In the latter case, possible names could be /les/ (although that might give the wrong impression), /lf/, /cap/, or /lib/.
>>282846One could assume that Leslie would be welcome in either the Aryanne team, or in the straight mlpol team (assuming). Idk that Leslie can sufficiently fill out a team though.
>>282849Yeah, you're probably right
>>282846/mlpol/ will obviously play her, and so will some other team. but idk if she will play 2 non/mlpol/ teams. I think she can play wherever appropriate and having duplicate players is part of the lulz.
I say, let her play wherever she wants
I thought I could make a team like that called /fair/ but then realized, that's just /ancap/ ponified. and there aren't many unique libertarian memes to justify a whole team nor support.
I say, no /fair/
Just a heads up the Autumn Babby Cup will start this Friday with /mlp/ taking on the current Babby champions /d/
