>>273655That depends on your definition of 'infiltrated'. If you mean, 'individuals who are or may be adversarial to the generally right-wing dispositions which are effectively the norm around here (with variance in philosophy and opinion at the detail level)' then the simple response would be:
You can bet your sweet ass we have. Or if we haven't, its only a matter of time before we are.
But here's the thing about that. It was inevitable.
We've been effectively off the radar for a long time, with most groups opting to leave us alone, ignore us, hope we would languish into insignificance and ultimately nonexistence, and yet we're still here. And every so often, we
do show up on the radar, but then return to our usually (but not always XD) peaceful home, until the next time we show up. Nothing onerous, but just the occasional reminder to the chan world that "Yeah, we're still here, see ya next time". For a while it was 4cc-related activity, but there are plenty of other examples that have emerged, without pointing any fingers
not a criticism.
But now, several recent events in the world and on the web have brought us a bit more attention. In particular, I'd point to the /mlp/ vs. /mlpol/ match during the recent online convention hilighted our presence, aided by ample shitposting and friendly spoon-feeding by /mlpol/ice to otherwise nescient nor/mlp/eople who never knew of us, are in the above-mentioned camp, knew of us but assumed we died, etc.
But more recently, the situation with Derpibooru has put something of a spotlight on us, as we're generally considered to be the stronghold for Aryanne and her delightful gang of nazi hoers. This perception has been pushed by individuals both friendly and hostile.
Its important to point out that the site has been attempted to be shut down before. When Mlpol.net was first founded, the site-specific patreon was killed by detractor activity. Soon after the site's paypal was nuked. Additionally, there have been a number of CP dumps and other less-obvious attempts against us. But nothing has worked, and while this probably made some (((people))) pretty mad, they seem to have fucked back off to whatever corner of the internet they came from.
Now, the left is out in force and not only by rioting in the streets, again referencing recent moves by Derpibooru and other less significant groups (EQD, for example). They want not specifically us, but what we represent gone and they think they can get it. We are an affront to them, and at the moment they're going after our beloved unofficial mascot and her crew.
But they will come for us; Make no mistake about that.Already, individuals and groups are attempting to dismiss the negative backlash to derpi censorship and politics as 'that's just /mlpol', and not a refusal by a significant portion of the fandom to tolerate lefty bullshit. And its true, we
do have a hand in it because we're still part of the fandom, and because we're both /pol/ and /mlp/. The fact that we're only a part of the response is irrelevant, we
are seemingly the easiest target and definitely the easiest scapegoat.
With all that in mind, it seems absurd to me to assume we
don't have visitors in our midst, wherever their loyalties or politics lie. The Atlantic article was effectively targeting US, though we were never named specifically (probably to avoid the Streisand effect, not that it will have worked in the long run), and by now there are references to /mlpol/ littering dozens of comment sections for a variety of media.
Tl;dr: Keep your wits AND your horsepussy about you, we undoubtedly have company.
