Also, I have it on good faith that the person who does the history will get off their lazy ass and update it, with both the previous cup and an addendum to include /mlpol/'s appearance as the Final Boss for /pol/'s 4cc cup championship win

My suggestion is Apogee. My reasons are as follows:

-She is in /mlp/'s sphere of influence, and thus is not too far from our own.
-She's a popular meme-horse, and has been featured in common templates such as #2.
-Her creator, Shinodage, is a top-tier pony artist and has been aware of our participation in previous /pol/eagues, even making art for them.
-She has been featured in art as of late as part of a group of fillies such as in #3. These Adventure Fillies include Anonfilly, Luftkrieg, and Zala, all three of which are already on our squad. Apogee would complete the set.
-#5 just came out recently.
-Apogee a qt.

You guys can object to her for any reason, but I would say that focusing on the incest porn she's been featured in does a disservice to the character. The porn is only one part of her, one that can be easily ignored with no change to the overarcing character. -This league consists of a 16-team field, same as last time.
-The following teams have returned from /pol/eague 4: /mlpol/ - My Little Politics (obviously), /britpol/ - British Politics, /balk/ - Balkan, /nsg/ - National Socialist General, /italypol/ - Italian Politics, /ptg/ - President Trump General, /sg/ - Syria General, /cg/ Christianity General, /sag/ - South Africa General, /krautpol/ - Kraut/pol/ & AfD General, /leftypol/ - Lefty/pol/ & /pol/ Communism General, and /tcr/ - True Capitalist Radio.
-New teams this league include /cvg/ - Coronavirus General, /pole/ - Polish Politics, and /sig/ - Self Improvement General.
-The teams to drop out this year include /auspol/ - Australian Politics, /pay/ - President Andrew Yang, and /polder/ - Dutch Politics General.
-The /fsg/ - Fascism General team retired in the offseason, and as such will not be competing (press F).
-The /lrg/ - Libertarian Right General team seems to have their old team name back, and so is returning this league as /ancap/ - Anarcho-capitalism.

So I'm going to be memed on for being the barer of bad news but unless we get a few more serious /mlpol/ recommendations I'm not going to hold a roster poll given how little things have really changed.

Also I've debated this for a while. So let me lay out the case.
1. /pol/eauge is about sharing autism related to inter community /pol/ shit and representing /yourteam/ accurately. So if I wanted to shill what I like I'd need it to also be liked by a polarity of the community. Ex: I cannot have Sergey from /biz/ also be the captain of /mlpol/. It'd make no sense.
2. Okay so what are players on the team then? Well generally speaking they fall into three camps. Camp one: Boards history. This is why >Rape is still on /mlp/. Relevant? Nope, not anymore. But he's the face of /mlp/ and like Milky is board history. So that shit stays on. Camp two: Relevant memes. So for example /pol/ got Corona Chan on the team in the middle of a cup. Why? Because it was an extremely relevant meme on the board. So they were able to replace it over another player because its that important. Camp three: Relevant shit. So see /a/ and Cowboy Bebop. Not a ton of memes of it anymore. Its not really board culture per-say. But if you are a weeb you know what Bebop is.
3. I would like to be very lax on this end but some people have contacted me that I should not be. And they are right, because she really doesn't meet any of these criteria. You could make a real poor case on the third. Because her creator has made /mlpol/ OC that he has drawn or has had one/two images where this horse is in with Zala, Filly, ect. Thing tho is that this is such a stretch, because like how all weebs at least know about Bebop I can say that as someone from the /pol/ side of things I had no idea what this horse was before this thread. So maybe on /mlp/ where the filly is more well know it'd fly. But here over half the community has no idea who she is, and if it were to play in say the /pol/eague very very few people would get it. I can point out every other player on the team as fitting one of these criteria. HONK PONK. Meme. WTF I LOVE HORSES. History. Hell even a racists twilight would fit under relevant shit since its twilight + /pol/ humor. But living it at /mlp/ alone won't cut it so I'm going to inform you that she will not be allowed on the roster. Sorry to the one lad who wanted her on.

Now to finish off this artistically long post, as of now I'm partial to letting Flim Flam twins on because its dumb and funny but also related to /mlpol/ (bogs + MLP shit). So if someone has an issue with that meme me about it and I'll listen to that. Also tarrant chan doesn't seem very relevant and at least my impression was that it was more or less something seasonal so I'll be having her moved off. Again I'm open to hearing if someone thinks that this shouldn't be the case. Otherwise that will be the roster changes unless magically a few more recs come in.

So every anniversary of That Day, Tarrant-Chan gets added to the team for a day/week/single match/whatever. And all other days of the year, TC is replaced by someone funnier/more relevant/more representative of board culture.
If you don't want her on the actual pitch during the match in question, that's fine.
By the way, does the cup have any rules against placing a FUCKING HUGE object on your character's head, a big object that will obscure where your character is and where his limbs are and where other characters are? I got the idea from watching a video where someone gets his ass kicked by a cheater in Soul Calibur 6 who uses this trick to put an impossibly huge cube on his head. It made his character's movements impossible to read, since a seven foot cubed opaque but collisionless cube was hiding his limbs and weapons from view.

We have a standing policy of not putting lolcows on the team roster for a number of reasons, most notably that they don't represent the board/culture (in fact, the opposite) or otherwise we would have put Nigel on the roster previously.
Again, not to be a downer, but I have an idea about the roster:
Unless something really deserves it (Corona-chan comes to mind) maybe we leave it alone? I mean, we've won the last 2 /pol/eagues, so it stands to reason that there's something right about the team/mgmt. There's something to be said for 'never fight the last war' meaning, never use the strategies of the previous war in the current war, because war is dynamic and ever-changing, but there's also something to be said for "if it ain't broke, why fix it?".
For point of discussion/banter, Flim and Flam would seem to be a garishly artificial addition to the team, not really representing anything. They're apolitical, aren't even mentioned in any discussion, and trying to compare them to the Bogs is misguided (the Bogs get as much mention on /mlpol/ as Flim and Flam do) since the Bogs control everything and Flim and Flam lose every time (except that one time, but that was in a (((later))) season and doesn't count).
And while Kyrie is a coot, as is Mitsuko, we could as easily add Franziska or some other unnecessary pone more niche character to the roster.
